Dear brothers and sisters,
today,
I will be talking
the significance
of Arabic language,
the value of Arabic language,
the importance
of Arabic language.
Why Arabic language?
Why we have to speak in Arabic?
Why?
Why Allah choose
Arabic language
as a original
language for his message
to be revealed
to mankind,
which is the Quran.
Why Allah read Quran in Arabic language?
And
just to feel comfortable
as a Muslims,
as a believer,
if
I ask you, do you speak Arabic language?
And if you say no,
because this is not my own language.
My own language is ortho or English or
French or Chinese,
I will say,
are you Muslim?
Of course. Yes. I'm Muslim,
and you have to speak Arabic
language.
Why?
Because this is the language of Quran
Quran that Allah
revealed
to all mankind. And
Allah choose
Arabic language.
It's not
my choice. It's not your choice.
This is Allah's
choice.
He choose Arabic language
because he knows
that the Arabic language will remain
on earth until the day of judgment
because he promised
that he will protect
Quran.
And
Arabic language will be protected as long as
the Quran protect it.
If we agree or not,
nothing will
change. Almost
1500
years,
and Allah revealed a Quran to prophet Muhammad,
peace be upon him,
still until today,
no one can
change a word,
a letter,
even a vow
of the word.
Why? Because Allah promised
he will protect Quran,
and
he will protect the Arabic language because the
Arabic protect the Arabic language because the Arabic
language is the language of Quran.
Just when we compare
between Arabic language and other languages,
Arabic language has no childhood
time,
always
the time of youth.
Other languages,
they started
in very weak
level,
and they become strong. And they
disappear after that,
except Arabic language because Allah choose
this language
for people to speak.
When we pray,
we have to recite Quran. When we recite
Quran, we have to recite
recite in Arabic language.
I'm not talking about the exceptions.
Some people
that who convert to Islam,
and he or she is not able to
recite in Arabic language.
They are an exception
of the rule.
But the rule said,
if you pray, you have to pray in
Arabic,
and you have to recite Quran in Arabic.
You have to mention Allah's name in Arabic.
When you perform
Hajj pilgrimage,
you have to say in
Arabic.
Why? Because prophet Muhammad
Muhammad used to say in Arabic way.
Arabic language is not for the Arab who
lives in Middle East.
This is for all Muslims
every week.
If you claim that you are Muslim,
you have to speak in Arabic language.
You have at least to recite Quran
and to understand the meaning of Quran, to
understand
the interpretation of the verses of Quran in
Arabic way.
Why?
Because
if you do not understand
the meaning that Allah revealed to you, how
come that you will practice the religion that
Allah revealed to you?
You will not be we will not be
able to practice our own religion,
and
we will not
notice the problem in the first generation.
Most of us, we came as
immigrants.
And when we came here, we stay
in our condition for a while,
make rules.
It's not allowed for anyone to speak a
different language at home.
And but after a while, we change our
mind because it's so difficult to resist
with everybody around you speak English, and you
will stay lonely speak Arabic.
And sometime, when you communicate with your children
and they return back, you try to speak
in Arabic with them, and they return back
to you in English.
And you agree with them. It's okay.
But the problem is not in the 1st
generation.
The problem will be with the 2nd generation.
And the big problem will be with the
3rd generation.
They will be insulated totally from their own
language.
I will repeat it again. It's not
belongs to us only. It belongs to every
single Muslim, male and female, every way in
the world
because this is the language that Allah choose
for us to speak,
and this is the language
that Abbas and I revealed the Quran.
When we look at the the Arabic Arabic
language,
Arabic language taught us
to be united.
Subhanallah. And this is the
one characteristic
of Arabic language
just
to have roots.
And these these roots,
it will have
different branches,
but it will
return back to the same root.
You will never find any other language has
the same root
or roots of Arabic language.
For example,
if we look at the word of.
Katabah. It will have a lot of branches
like Katabah,
Khitab, like book,
like writer,
written,
katabek, he wrote.
All of them came from same family.
Subhanallah,
the Arabic language told us to be united,
to be in the same family as a
Muslims, and we do not understand the lesson
from Allah.
Most of the words in Arabic language
came from the same root.
And just to have different words
with the
the same letters,
like Banu,
and
Nun, and Waru.
This is the madman.
It will come
for son and for daughter.
Son, which is.
Daughter, which is.
Still, we have
the root of the world.
And this is the idea. Allah
taught us to be united,
to be in 1 nation,
to be in 1 group, to be in
1 family.
But we divided ourselves
to many groups,
and we do not understand the mission, or
we do not understand
the main purpose that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
revealed Quran to us in Arabic language.
It's not because Arabs
have more superior than other
countries. No.
Because prophet
Muhammad explained it very well.
It's clear.
There is no more superior
for Arabs upon others
or for white people upon black people
except with the piety and the righteous
deeds.
If you have more piety than others, you
will be you will have more superior
on front of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala than
others. If you have more good deeds, you
will be you'll have more superior of Allah
more than every
other people.
And this is the idea. But I mentioned
here
that the Arabic language is the language that
Allah choose.
It's not our choice.
And if this is a much choice
and we have to agree,
we have to be proud
of the language that Allah choose for us
to speak
and to recite and to pray and to
mention Allah's name, to do our imamate
by the Arabic
tongue.
This is the idea.
And it's easy. Don't say it's difficult to
learn Arabic. No. It's very, very easy. You
know why? Because Allah promised us.
We make easy for the one who interested
to learn Quran.
And he didn't say from Arabs or not
Arabs, from Middle East or from China.
It doesn't matter. If you are interested to
learn Quran,
Allah will make easy for you to learn
Quran. I will give you more reward.
If you are struggling
to learn Quran and you consist
to learn, you will have double reward.
Hello. Prophet Muhammad mentioned Al Mahamul Al Quran.
The one who is reciting Quran, the reciter
of Quran perfectly,
he will be or she will be with
the angels in the day of judgement.
It's the guy steps.
And the other kind of
people, they are struggling to recite Quran.
The one who is struggling
to recite Quran correctly with the ulip of
the tweet,
and it's so difficult for him or for
her to recite Quran correctly,
he or she will have double reward. Why?
One reward because that he or she opened
the muslim
and he wrote as the muslim. This is
one reward by itself.
And the
be encouragement
for non Arabs to learn Arabic language
because they will have more reward than Arabs.
Because
Arabs, they know how to read and how
to write in Arabic. But unfortunately,
they do not know or most of them,
they do not know the meaning, the interpretation
of the verses of the Quran.
And this is the reason why we have
the books of the tafsir,
the Quran,
the books talking about the meaning of Quran
because we are not Arabs or we are
not speaking Arabic language.
We choose to speak our own
language,
which is the accent,
Egyptian accent or Palestinian
accent or Jordanian accent or
any other accent in in the Middle East.
This is not
the original,
or
this is not the Arabic that
Allah mentioned in the Quran. We're resounding
Arabic in
with the clear
Arabic language or Arabic tongue.
When we look at Arabic language,
the pronunciation
of letters on Arabic
Arabic has very, very long
area
to pronounce them.
Start from the lips.
Go all the way with the tongue and
the mouth, and go down until the end
of the
throat.
I challenge anyone.
There is no other language
has this long
of
the places
for the exits of each letter.
Most of the languages,
you might have in the tongue or the
mouth, and that's it.
But the unique,
or uniqueness
of Arabic language,
Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, choose it, and Allah
put into Arabic language.
The bill basis
to resist and to remain
until the day of judgement
because he promised
that he protected
Quran. No one is able to change even
a vowel of the Quran.
And the same idea for Arabic language.
When when we are trying to learn Arabic
language,
we have to have intention. This is from
our deen,
from our religion to learn Arabic language to
to be able to understand the meaning of
the Quran that Allah revealed to us. How
come for Muslim who doesn't know about Arabic
language
and he recited
like we have a lot of recitals
of Quran?
They memorize Quran.
If you push
the button
in
Quran, if you push the button in any
verse of the Quran, they will start reciting.
But when you ask them about the meaning,
they have no idea.
How come for those
to be teachers
in future,
to teach the religion of Allah
for our children, for our next generations.
How come?
And
the requirement
to be able to understand the meaning, what
Allah
means in this verse,
And to be able to respond
when a must prohibited
us to do something,
we have to understand this is
forbidden. We cannot even
cross it. We cannot come close to it.
And when Allah encourage us to do something,
we will be able to understand this is
something that Allah loves,
and we have to respond. We have to
confirm. We have to do it.
How
for the one who doesn't know the meaning
of Arabic or doesn't know how to read
Arabic
language,
and he will respond or she will respond
to Allah's command.
And this is the idea. It's very easy
to learn Arabic language. It's not too late.
And don't feel shy.
Like when we have halakat
at the masjid, I can see some brothers
really feel shy
to try.
And he doesn't know that he will have
more more than anyone
among us in the Habakkuk
because he will struggle to recite Quran and
he will keep himself
in this situation. He will not listen to
whispering of Shaikan, and he will be the
winner.
But unfortunately,
we do not have those brothers
or sisters
to say,
I will resist.
I will confess
to stay here
and to learn the language that Allah chose
for me,
that Allah revealed the message
to me. And I have to understand
what Allah
means in this verse or in this
chapter. When we look at the Arabic language,
it's have
very short word,
and it will have very clear meaning
comparing with the other languages. For example, when
we have the word of
Ab, Alifbeh,
Ab, it's a father.
Two letters
and the other hand, 6 letters.
Can you imagine? You you will exhibit just
one word with the 6 letters,
and here you'll exhibit with the 2 letters.
Omb,
mother. The same idea.
Just 2 words, 2 letters.
Alif and kha,
brother.
Even
the word the letter of kha,
you cannot pronounce in other language
unless if you compare two letters together by
k and h
h to say.
And this is the uniqueness of Arabic language,
the language that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will
choose for us.
And what should we do?
Most of us became as immigrants,
like I mentioned in the beginning,
and we we keep holding our own language
at least at home.
But after a while,
we gave up.
And we just
walked with the caravan.
And, you know, it's hard to resist.
All the members of the family are speaking
in English except myself,
and I gave up.
You will not notice
the result
of your decision
right now.
But but you will notice it on
when you ask
your child
or your grandchild on front of people and
he said, what do you mean?
I do not understand.
It's embarrassing
for
all of us when I communicate with my
child
and he do not he doesn't understand actions.
They have very bad communication actions.
They have very bad communications
with other bad people.
And they thought, you know, their children are
doing good job, and they stay overnight.
They stay overnight
making homework with their friends, and
they do not understand they are
doing bad action.
And this is the idea. We need to
wake up. We need to understand
this
choose for us. I'm not saying, this because
I'm Arab.
No. I'm saying this because I'm a Muslim.
I'm proud of my religion. I'm proud of
the language that Allah chose for me. I'm
proud of the
language
of the Quran,
the revelation that Allah revealed to us. And
every single Muslim should be proud
of his language,
the language of Quran, which is the Arabic
language.
Our problem
because we did not take advantage
to teach our children Arabic language.
And
if we choose even to put them in
Islamic school, it's once a week,
1 hour a week. Can you imagine? 1
hour
competing with the 5 days.
All of us who sent our children to
school,
5 days a week,
8 hours a day.
And what?
We have only 1 hour a week.
And
most of the teachers are volunteers.
Most of them,
they teaching in their own way that they
learn in their countries.
If we have, for example, a center a
certain country teacher,
he will teach
in his own way. Most of the children
do not understand what he said.
Because even when we teach, we do not
choose to teach in
a classic way.
And this is our problem.
And even 1 hour a week, when the
children go back to their families,
the parents
did not care what they study in the
at the school, Arab school or Islamic school.
And they will sleep until next week,
and
they will even will not remember what they
had in last week.
You know, we need to do something
unique,
officially
to return back
to Muslim community
their own language,
which is the Arabic language. Nothing wrong to
speak different languages.
Nothing wrong to speak English or Urdu or
French or Chinese
or any other language. It's okay.
But it's not an excuse
for any Muslim
not to speak Arabic language
because this is the language of Quran, the
language that Allah choose for all of us
to worship him by this language,
which is the language of Quran,
the Arabic
language. May Allah
help all of us how to understand our
mission in Islam. And may Allah
to help all of us
to act as real Muslims
and
real followers of prophet Muhammad
from 5 AM till 9 PM. Tomorrow, Saturday,
we will have family night, and we will
have food
downstairs here from 5 till 7.
And after 7, we're gonna go to the
whole area. We have 2 hours over there.
The the cost for that $20,
the master will pay $10.
