As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Alaikum As-Salaam wa
Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh How are you Shaykh?
I'm fine Alhamdulillah I think after a few
days maybe we'll move to 7pm UK Ok
Inshallah No problem Inshallah we'll get started with
the class Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen Wasalaatu wasalaamu Ala
Rasoolil Kareem As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh May Allah bless you all for your
attendance Today we are covering The Virtues of
Islam by Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab Just a
quick reminder Please take notes, listen attentively and
hand your questions over to myself or the
co-host throughout the course of the lesson
With that said, I'll hand it back to
the Shaykh to start the lesson As-Salaamu
Alaikum As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Alhamdulillah We praise Him We
seek His help We ask His forgiveness We
seek His forgiveness We seek refuge in Allah
from the evil of our souls We seek
refuge in Allah from the evil of our
souls and from the evil of our actions
and from the evil of our actions Verily,
whoever Allah guides, no one is misguided and
whoever Allah guides, no one is misguided and
whoever Allah guides, no one is misguided we
will not be able to understand the Qur
'an, the speech of our Lord, so the
Sunnah is indeed revelation from Allah subhanahu wa'ta
'ala.
وَمَن يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْحَوَىٰ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحِيمٌ
يُوحَىٰ لَقَوْفُ صَحْ سَلَامٌ He does not speak
out of his own desire, except that he
is inspired.
He receives revelation from Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala.
So those who say the Qur'an is
enough for us, they just want to destroy
the Deen because they know without the Sunnah,
Muslims will not be able to understand their
Deen.
And that's why there is incessant efforts by
the enemies of Islam to doubt the authenticity
of the Sunnah.
And their attack on the Sunnah will never
cease because they have agenda, they have to
apply, they have to implement the points they're
in.
So Muslims, they have to be careful and
should not be fooled by such claims and
such false accusations because Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
protected both the Qur'an and the Sunnah
of the Prophet.
So the Deen has been protected by Allah
subhanahu wa'ta'ala.
So no one can fiddle with it, no
one can try to adulterate it or modify
it etc.
Allah protected the Sunnah of the Prophet by
what we have, what we call and what
is known as the Isanat.
We are the only, listen to this, we
are the only people on the face of
this planet who confidently will tell you this
what the Prophet said.
Because we have an unbroken chain of narrators.
We have hundreds of the Huffadh, not of
the Qur'an, and in millions, of the
Sunnah.
Yes, children, 15, 16, young
ones, they memorize the Sunnah of the Prophet
salallahu alayhi wa sallam.
You can see them on the net.
They memorize the Sahihayn, Bukhari and Muslim.
Sunan al-Arba'a, the four books of
the Sunan, Musnad Ahmad.
This is Allah's plan.
This is how Allah protected the Deen and
we have the Isanat.
Anyone who comes now says Prophet Muhammad said
this, he's saying hold your hostages, wait.
Where is the Isanat?
No Isanat, throw it into the dustbin.
That's why my advice for you brothers and
sisters, because I receive many questions.
Is this authentic?
Not everything you receive are these messages.
You circulate and you forward and you share.
When there are many fabricated narrations and weak
narrations, so you are lying.
You think you are getting Isanat.
No, you will be considered a liar.
Whoever shares and says something the Prophet didn't
say, he should prepare himself to occupy his
seat in the hellfire.
That's what the Prophet said.
So never ever open your mouth and say
the Prophet said this when you are not
sure.
So the Isanat, that's how we check, that's
the key.
As Ibn Mubarak said, He
said the Isanat, mentioning the chain of the
narrators is part of the Deen.
Otherwise anyone can say whatever he wants.
But the Isanat, anyone says the Prophet said,
they say where is the Isanat?
This is the Isanat.
Oh, this is not acceptable.
See this narrator is a liar.
This narrator is a liar.
This narrator is weak.
This narrator is a fabricator.
Where on earth can you find that?
Except in Islam.
So Allah protected our Deen.
Those who are talking about the most authentic
books of the Sunnah, Bukhariya, they don't know
actually.
They just expose their ignorance.
Believe me, the science of Hadith is more
complex and difficult than calculus and mathematics.
Yes.
So to say that the Sunnah, how can
we be sure that this is the authentic?
We have a mechanism.
We have tools.
We apply.
We have science.
No one has it.
The Argentalists themselves, they confess and they say
we raise our hats for the Muslims.
And the Muslims, they have the right to
boast about this science.
So we're the Ummah of the Isanat.
So the Sunnah explains the Quran.
Those who are attacking the Sunnah, they are
attacking the Deen because they know if they
attack the Sunnah and Muslims started doubting the
Sunnah, then everything will crumble.
How do you pray?
Through the Sunnah.
Sunnah explains.
So Sunnah is doubtful.
How do you give Zakah?
Through the Sunnah explains.
Sunnah is doubtful.
You have to understand and see the dimensions
and the great depth of the conspiracy.
So Alhamdulillah that this Deen is protected.
Allah protected the Quran and protected the Sunnah.
And we are the Ummah of Isanat and
no nation on the face of this planet
can compete with us or can produce something
like what we have.
Ask.
Ask.
Ask any bishop, any priest, any monk, any
rabbi.
Can you give me an unbroken chain of
narrators?
If you are a Christian to Jesus Christ,
they don't have.
If he's a Jew, ask this rabbi.
Can you give me an unbroken chain of
narrators till Moses, till we reach Musa alayhi
salam?
They don't have.
Ask the Muslims.
You have hundreds who can give you the
Isanat.
So the Sunnah explains.
That's why in the last session we mentioned
what Abu al-Aliyah rahim Allah Ta'ala
said that the Islam explained the Islam explained
the Quran by following the Sunnah.
You expose the deviant sect, deviant groups by
checking them against the criterion the Kitab and
the Sunnah.
And of course as you know Islam is
so total submission to Allah and to believe
in his oneness and to single him out
regarding this person regarding his attributes and to
actualize the monotheistic creed in your life.
And that's what all the prophets and messengers
were upon on the Tawheed.
The Hanifiyah, Millat Ibrahim, the creed of Ibrahim
alayhi salam, the father of the prophets.
And that's what he reminded his children, his
progeny when he was dying.
He advised them to worship only Allah and
to submit to him.
Likewise his son, grandson, Ya'qub son of
Isaac did the same thing.
And today we continue.
Allah tells us in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah
113 that we have to keep treading upon
the path of Ibrahim alayhi salam following his
footsteps abiding and by the monotheistic creed and
adopt it and apply it in our lives
and actualize monotheism in our lives.
So Allah says for those who shun and
leave the way of Ibrahim alayhi salam abiding
and by the monotheistic creed and adopt it
and
apply it in our lives.
And who would reject the faith of Ibrahim
alayhi salam except a fool We
certainly chose him in this life and in
the hereafter he will surely be among the
righteous.
Just pose and reflect.
Who will reject and desist Millat
Ibrahim, the way, the Ibrahamic methodology, the aqeedah,
the creed which Ibrahim was upon and which
he taught, that doctrine which he taught his
progeny.
So who is that?
This is a question.
And at the same time it is a
rebuke.
Who is that who will not be satisfied?
Who is that who is going to choose
other methodology, other way, other than the way
of Ibrahim alayhi salam, the faith of Ibrahim
alayhi salam?
Only one who is fool.
It is true.
It is true.
Only a fool would do that.
illa man safiha nafsahu Because the safa, means
light mind, lack of intelligence.
That's why someone who lacks intelligence is called
safi, safi illa
man safiha nafsahu.
wa laqad ustafaynahu fid dunya Allah is telling
us about Ibrahim alayhi salam, that Allah chose
him.
Allah chose him and he chose him and
made him the closest to him.
Very close friend of Allah.
Khalil, Ibrahim al-Khalil.
Khalil is one who is very close to
you.
So Allah chose Ibrahim alayhi salam and he
gave him that title Khalil.
Also chose Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
and he made him Khalil as well.
So Allah saying wa laqad ustafaynahu fid dunya,
istifa, selection.
Allah chose him.
But among the rest, he chose Ibrahim alayhi
salam and you know the test
that Ibrahim alayhi salam went through and he
experienced.
He was thrown into the fire and Allah
saved him.
He was told to leave his family in
Mecca.
And that was a test.
To leave a wife, your wife, a woman
with an infant in a place barren.
No human beings.
He obeyed and he passed the test with
flying colors.
And now when his son is a man,
he was shown to slay his son.
And he obeyed.
But Allah saved Ismail alayhi salam and he
passed also the test.
Wa laqad ustafaynahu fid dunya, wa innahu fil
aakhirati lamina as-salihin.
And the aakhirah, in the hereafter, Ismail Ibrahim
alayhi salam, lamina as-salihin.
He will be surely among the righteous.
Then the author, Rahim Allah, said, wa ashbaha
hadih al-usool al-kibar.
The likes of these great fundamentals, great fundamental
principles.
The principles of the Tawheed.
Singling out Allah and worshipping Allah alone.
And abide by the Quran and the Sunnah.
These are the fundamental principles.
Wa ashbaha hadih al-usool al-kibar.
These are great fundamental principles you have to
abide by.
Wa annasu anha fi ghaflah.
Yes, truly.
Many of us are heedless.
Heedless.
Unaware of the importance of these principles.
Quran and Sunnah.
Understand the Quran by the Sunnah.
And respect both of them and sanctify both
of them.
Because they are from Allah, revelation.
Our guidance lies there by Allah's grace.
Wa annasu anha fi ghaflah.
By knowing these principles, by knowing the Tawheed.
Tabayan ma'ana al-ahadith.
Bi hadha al-babu amthaliha.
So when you know these principles, then when
you are reading the ahadith, you understand them
correctly.
And this will, when you know the Sunnah.
Sunnah, my dear brothers and sisters, the Salaf
say.
As-sunnatu safinatu nu'i.
Marrakib ha-naga fa-man taraka ha-gharib.
Sunnah is Noah, Noah's Ark, the Ark of
Noah.
Those who embark, they were delivered.
Those who were left behind were drowned.
So the Sunnah is the Ark, the ship.
You have to understand the Sunnah of your
Prophet ﷺ.
Then and only then, things will become clear
to you.
People, many of the Muslims are wandering in
blindness.
But they are far away from the Sunnah
of the Prophet ﷺ.
The Sunnah taught us everything.
Don't you know that one day the Prophet
ﷺ, from morning till evening, he was talking
about the things that are going to happen
in the future.
Everything he mentioned.
Abu Huraira said, those who have green memory,
to remember, they memorized.
So he mentioned everything to the Sahaba.
So when you read the Sunnah of the
Prophet ﷺ, you see everything clear, vivid in
front of you.
So you will not go astray.
You will not.
Because you have guidance.
You have light with you.
Whereas the rest are blind, they don't see.
But you have the light, the Sunnah.
You know the hadith of the Dajjal, who
will try to enter Medina.
Angels, they stop him.
A young man, but this young man, he
knew the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.
This young man will come to him, to
the Dajjal.
For reaching the Dajjal, his troops, they will
ask him, those soldiers, do you believe in
our Rabb?
Because they believe that he is Allah.
So all his followers, they believe that he
is God.
Though he is blind, he has one eye,
and the other eye also is very weak,
protruding, and they have a thick layer on
it.
And it is written, as you know, on
his forehead, kafir, kafara, disbeliever.
And the Prophet ﷺ said, The Dajjal is
one eye, and your Rabb is not one
eye.
It is written on his forehead, he is
a believer, kafir.
Whoever reads the first ten ayahs of Surat
al-Kahf, or the last of Surat al
-Kahf, he will be protected.
So this young man, who knew the Sunnah
of the Prophet ﷺ, the moment he sees
the Dajjal, so he sees the sign.
Because he learnt about these signs.
Because the Dajjal, he performs miracles.
He tells the earth to bring vegetation, become
green.
The treasures to come out, they come out.
The sky to rain.
The clouds to send down rain, empty their
content.
It rains, so people follow him.
Imagine the Dajjal appears right now, what will
happen?
Majority of the people will follow him.
So this young man, when he saw him,
he said, you are the Dajjal that our
Prophet ﷺ told us about.
So what the Dajjal does is that he
will cut this young man into halves.
Yes, cut him into halves.
So one half here, one half here.
And he will walk between the two halves.
And then he will bring him back into
life.
Of course, by Allah's permission, not his permission.
And not his power.
But as a test.
Because we've been told that.
Now the young man is alive again.
The Prophet ﷺ said, after killing him the
first time, he will not be able to
kill him again by doing the same thing.
So do you believe in me?
He said, no.
I am more confident now, my certainty is
more than before.
That you are the Antichrist, or you are
the false messiah, or you are the Dajjal.
Because he knew the Sunnah of the Prophet
ﷺ.
So the Sunnah indeed is the Ark of
Noah.
You want to be delivered in this turmoil,
in this flood of shubuhat, doubts, embark on
the ship, the Sunnah.
Learn the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ.
Read the ahadith of the Prophet ﷺ.
Especially the ahadith about the fitan, the afflictions,
the things that will happen, the fitan that
will happen in the future.
Read, so you are aware.
Because we are living in that now, turmoil,
in that situation, with our fitan, one after
the other, and every time you feel that
this trial, this test, makes the previous one,
the former, trivial.
And this will go on.
So we have to be aware, my dear
brothers and sisters, of the importance of the
Sunnah.
So if we know the Sunnah, then we
will not go astray by Allah's grace.
Then the author, rahim Allah, said, yet, he
said, أَمِنُوا
مَكْرَ اللَّهِ فَلَا يَعْمَن مَكْرَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ
الْخَاسِرِينَ This is a problem.
Many of us, when we are reading the
Qur'an, or the Sunnah of the Prophet
ﷺ, and there are warnings in the Qur
'an, Allah, why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
mentioned the stories of the perished nations?
What for?
Entertainment?
No, to deduce lessons.
Allah is warning us, Allah is telling us,
this is what happened to these nations when
they did this and this and that.
So the moral lesson, don't do and don't
behave in the same way they behave.
Because if you do the same thing, what
happened to them will happen to you.
Because I am just.
I destroyed, Allah destroyed the followers of Lot,
when they started practicing and doing shameful deeds.
The whole town of Sudun was destroyed.
So if you are doing the same thing,
wait, wait.
What happened to them will happen to you.
What happened to Kumpay, the same thing will
happen to you.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentions these
stories so that you deduce lessons.
These are reminders.
So my dear brothers and sisters, when you
are reading, you have to prepare yourself mentally.
Your mind has to be present, your heart
and soul be present.
And Allah is talking to you.
By the token of time.
Or certainly mankind.
Aren't you one of the children of Adam?
Don't you belong to mankind?
To the human beings family?
So Allah is talking to you.
Because indeed mankind is in great loss.
All mankind, all children of Adam, all human
beings are in great loss.
The exception comes now.
So we have this set of human beings.
Doomed, destined for destruction.
Destined to have fire.
Few elements will come out.
Except those who believe.
Only believe?
No.
Those who believe and do righteous deeds.
If you want to be delivered, fulfill the
conditions, the prerequisites.
You have to believe.
You have to do righteous deeds.
There is this mutual reminding and reciprocal advice
between the believers.
You advise me, I advise you.
You remind me, I remind you.
Mutual.
Bidirectional.
Back and forth.
So they advise each other regarding abiding by
the truth, remaining steadfast upon the truth, and
to be patient in facing the adversities.
So when you are reading, you should know
that.
Allah is talking to you.
Ibn Mas'ud said when
you hear whenever you hear lend your
ear.
Listen to it.
Listen attentively because Allah is going to say
something.
So when you come across O you who
believe, pay attention.
Because Allah is going to say something.
Either He is going to command you, warn
you, give you glad tidings, warn you against
something.
So pay attention.
O you who believe, pay attention.
O you who believe, pay attention.
What Allah is going to say, is imposed
on you, prescribed for you, as it was
prescribed for those who preceded, came before you.
Pay attention.
O you who believe, when you hear the
Adhan of the Jumu'ah, rush to the
Masjid.
So when you are reading the Quran, don't
say Allah is talking about somebody else, not
me.
No.
That's what the Sheikh is saying to him.
You think, okay, these ayat are talking about
those perished nations.
Not to you.
So you are not getting the message.
When Allah mentions these stories, to warn you,
do not follow their footsteps.
What if you follow their footsteps?
Same thing will happen to you.
The people of Nuh, they started worshipping Ya
'uqqa, Yaqutha and Nasra, they were holy men.
Pious, righteous people.
They started asking them for help.
Taking them as intermediaries between themselves and Allah.
That's the first deviation, shirk, happened.
Oh, that is only talking about the people
of Noah but we are the ummah of
Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam ash hadu an
la ilaha illallah wa ash hadu an anhamu
rasool Allah then oh Abdel Qadir Gilani help
me oh Abdel Qadir Gilani give me a
child so tell me what is the difference
between you and them you are calling Abdel
Qadir Gilani and He was calling Ya'uqa,
Ya'uqa, Nasra.
What's the difference?
He was calling other than Allah and you
are calling other than Allah.
What's the difference?
He is Mushrik and you are Mushrik because
you are doing the same thing.
Oh no no no, I am a Muslim.
What does it mean I am a Muslim?
Because you have a Muslim name?
So that one has to go to Jahannam
and because your name is a Muslim and
you are doing the same thing that he
was doing, you will go to Jannah.
Is this justice?
Is this fair?
Allah is fair, will not do this.
You are doing the same thing as the
mushriks, so you are like them, you are
like them.
And sometimes those, may Allah guide them, who
are from the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ and
they are committing shirk, Allah described the mushriks
in the past that when they are in
the middle of the ocean, the middle of
the sea, and the sea is rough, Allah
said da'awu allaha, at that moment, da
'awu allaha, mukhlaseena lahuddeen, they call only upon
Allah sincerely from the bottom of their hearts,
from the bottom of their hearts they are
asking Allah.
But when they land in the shores, they
go back to square one and back to
their old habits.
Yet, the mushriks of our time, when they
are in the middle of the sea, and
the sea is growing, getting up, and they
are about to drown, whom do they call,
Allah or Abdul Qadir Jilani or the other
Awliya, whose shirk is worse than the other.
The mushriks, they were calling Allah in the
past, yet you are calling Abdul Qadir Jilani.
This Imam, Abdul Qadir Jilani, people they ascribed
to him and attributed to him many things
which are false, he is a muwhid, humble
scholar.
One night he was praying to hajj, and
then light appeared in the room and a
voice came, oh Abdul Qadir Jilani, no need
for you to pray, I have forgiven you
all your sins.
So he is Imam, alim, he realised this
was kaitan, I am Allah.
So he said, Allah, by Allah, are you
Allah?
He kept quiet, that voice disappeared, no voice,
and the light disappeared.
Then the voice came back, oh Abdul Qadir,
I couldn't fool you, I fooled many people
by telling them that I am Allah and
they should not pray anymore.
So when you are reading the ayat, Allah
is warning you, you should know that this
is for you, so you should not do
what this perished nation did and Allah destroyed
them.
Don't say, oh this is not for me,
this is not what the Sheikh is saying.
So this verse came down, and this is
what we hear, say how you quote ayat
that came down regarding mushriks.
You say, well, yes, that is true, but
can you define the shirk?
What is the shirk?
Shirk if you believe that this thing, this
stone, this wali can do things by his
own power, but he can't do things by
the will of Allah.
You say, no, no, sorry, you are wrong,
this is not the right definition, because those
whom Allah mentioned, they said, ma na'buduhum
illa li qarruboona illa Allahi zulfa.
We don't worship them except that we want
them to bring us closer to Allah.
Intermediaries, they didn't believe that this stone, they
benefit them, they know that, they know that,
but they are saying these are intermediaries between
us and Allah.
They convey what we want to Allah.
Ibn Hisham mentioned in the seerah, the story
when you know that Abdul Muttalib, because the
will of Zamzam, okay, was filled with
dirt, and it then became invisible, and no
one knew its location.
So Abdul Muttalib, he prayed that if I
find the will of Zamzam, I will dig
it and clean it, and then as a
sign of thanking Allah, I will slay one
of my children.
And he saw in the dream the location,
and he started digging, and water came out,
and now he has to fulfill his vow.
So whenever they cast the lot, the name
of his son Abdullah, the father of the
Prophet came out.
So Quraysh told him, no, you should not
do this.
There is a magician, a woman, we have
to go to her.
She told them, okay, go back, and they
put sticks and put the name on it,
Aruz.
Abdullah, and then she said, put another one
on, the camels.
And every time you draw, and the arrow
that has the name camels on it, comes
out, sacrifice 10 camels, and keep doing this
until, sorry, every time the name Abdullah comes
out, sacrifice 10 animals, until the arrow that
has the name, the camels comes out, then
you stop slaughtering animals, and that means Abdullah
will be free.
And they did that until they reached 100
camels, and then the name, the camels came
out, and they slaughtered all the camels.
What the Ibn Hisham mentioned, that while they
were doing this, Abdul Muttalib was standing, praying
to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And also he did the same thing when
the army and the battalion of the Abyssinian
King Abraha came to destroy the Kaaba.
He told all the Quraysh, go, Allah will
protect his house.
Seek shelter, shelter in the mountains.
And he was praying to Allah, asking Allah
to protect his house, but he was standing
next to Hubal, calling Allah next to Hubal,
because he believes that this is an intermediary.
That's it.
So you are doing the same thing.
You are saying those, these awliya are intermediaries.
Whatever we want, we cannot ask Allah directly.
We ask them through his awliya.
So this is shirk.
So don't say that this ayat came regarding
this group or that particular nation, when you
are doing the same thing like that.
On Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, he said, The
meaning, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud told that Allah's
Messenger ﷺ drew a line for them and
then said, one day the Prophet ﷺ, he
drew a line, this line.
And then he said, this is Allah's path.
This is God's path.
Subhanallah, this is Allah's path.
Thereafter, he drew several lines on his right
and left and said, These are paths on
each of which there is a devil who
invites people to follow it.
And he recited that this is my path,
straight, follow it.
Do not follow the other short lines.
Otherwise, which will lead you astray from his
path.
So you see, the way of salvation, my
dear brothers and sisters, it's only one path
and way following the footsteps of the Prophet
ﷺ, Kitab and Sunnah.
You go to the right, you go astray.
Go to the left, you go astray.
Want salvation?
Go straight.
Follow what the Prophet ﷺ told you.
One of the ulema, Rahimahullah, said, If you
want to enter the Jannah before the Prophet
ﷺ, you will not smell its fragrance.
You cannot enter the Jannah before him because
the gatekeepers of the Jannah are informed by
Allah that you open the gates for no
one before Muhammad ﷺ.
If you want to enter the Jannah simultaneously
with the Prophet ﷺ at the same time,
you will not smell its fragrance.
If you want to enter the Jannah, walk
behind him ﷺ.
That's why, my dear brothers and sisters, before
doing anything, ask yourself, Is this what my
Prophet ﷺ taught me?
As Sufyan, Rahimahullah, said, If you cannot scratch
your hair except by evidence, knowing an evidence
for scratching your hair, scratching your skin, I
want to scratch.
Is there evidence for that?
Then do so.
That was Sufyan said.
So always ask yourself, Is what I'm doing,
that what my Prophet ﷺ did or not?
So, for example, now I want to scratch.
Is there evidence?
Of course, there is evidence.
What is the evidence?
Evidence is the Ibaha.
Everything is permissible.
Because my Islam taught me five rulings of
the Sharia.
Haram, Makruh, Fardh, Sunnah and Mubahdh.
So this falls under the Mubahdh.
So I know there is evidence for it.
So follow the Sunnah.
Follow the Shaitaan.
Don't go to the right, don't go to
the left.
Don't say, Maulana said this, Maulana said that.
Maulana will not help you.
Because Allah will not ask you why you
didn't follow Maulana.
He will ask you why you didn't follow
my Prophet.
That's what Allah will ask.
The people will be asked on the day
of resurrection.
What did you answer?
What was your, how did you respond to
the call of the messengers?
Allah will not ask you why you didn't
follow so-and-so.
But you will be asked why you didn't
follow the Prophet.
That's why Allah won't ask.
Be aware, be careful,
be cautious.
Those who, up to the contrary of his
teaching, his command.
Lest fitnah befall them, hits them, of severe
punishment.
So here Ibn Mas'ud is saying the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he drew this
line, the straight line, and then short lines
on both sides.
He said this is the way of salvation.
You will come across among the Sufis, some
who are saying, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam said this is the straight path, this
is the way of salvation.
So the Jannah and the truth and the
Haqq at the end of it.
Sufis are saying no, the truth is in
the center of the circle.
So the Haqq in the center of the
circle.
So how many ways through them I can
reach the center?
Many ways.
From any point on the circumference I can
reach the center.
So the ways to the center as many
as the points on the circumference of the
circle.
And that's what they are saying.
عدد طرق الحق عدد الوصول الى الحق عدد
انفاس الخلق The ways of reaching the truth
as many as the breaths, the breaths of
human beings, the breaths.
So you are right, he is right, everyone
is right.
Guys, all of us will make it, all
of us will go to Jannah, all, all.
Because only different, everyone takes on a different
path.
But all will, all these paths converge on
this, on the target.
So all of us will make it to
the Jannah.
How should we follow now?
Our Prophet said only one way and they
are telling us they are so infinity, unlimited
ways.
So if you want to, to reach your
destination and you want salvation, follow what your
Prophet ﷺ said.
This is the straight path, then he read
وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاقٍ مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبْعُوهُ This is my
straight path, follow it.
فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُولَة These shortcuts, these different ways,
do not follow them.
Why?
فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلَة Because these shortcuts will
take you away from His way, from His
path.
Glory be to Him.
May Allah ﷻ keep us to remain steadfast.
In this beautiful day, until we meet Allah
ﷻ, find Him pleased with all of us.
Ameen.
May Allah ﷻ forgive us our faults and
mistakes and ignorance.
May Allah ﷻ bless us with the beneficial
knowledge of righteous deeds.
May Allah unite our Ummah to the Haqq,
on the Haqq, and show them the straight
path and bring those who are from Ummat
Muhammad, but they are out of the track,
to the straight path.
Ameen.
And may Allah unite our hearts on the
Haqq.
Ameen.
And may Allah reward all of you, my
dear brothers and sisters, immensely for your patience
and attendance.
Tariq Allah Feekum, Izzakum Allah Khaira, Assalamu Alaikum
wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
Ameen wa Alaikum Assalamu Alaikum wa Barakatuhu.
Shaykh, we've received a few questions.
Let me know when you've received the first
one.
And if you can increase the volume and
get closer to the mic, it will be
better, inshaAllah.
InshaAllah, inshaAllah.
One minute.
Yes, Shaykh, go ahead.
The first question, is it fard to recite
Durood Ibrahim after the Tashahud in Salah?
What happens if you don't recite it?
The Tashahud is the wajid, it is mandatory.
Okay, so you have to, if you missed
it in the first, this Durood, I don't
know, I think Urdu, they mean Salah Ibrahimiyah.
Ya Allahumma salli ala Muhammad wa ala al
-Muhammad.
It is part of the second Tashahud, no
argument, but in the first Tashahud, should I
say it?
The answer, yes.
That is the, how to put it, it
is the apparent understanding of the hadith.
And it is madhhabi ma tshabi'a, I
am not allowed to say it.
The rest, they are saying, no need to
say it.
So if you, in that first Tashahud, you
didn't say it, the Salah is correct.
Salah is correct.
Next.
Shaykh, just a follow-up question.
Do you have to recite it in the
second Tashahud?
Definitely, it is a fard.
In the second Tashahud, you say it, you
say it, and no argument about it.
Only about the first Tashahud scholars, they differed
there.
Barak Allah fiqh.
The second question, does one have to lower
their gaze for those they are not attracted
to, for example, the elderly or physically unattractive?
This is, what do you mean unattractive?
It is something subjective.
What is not attractive to you, it is
attractive to somebody else.
And there are people who are perverted, okay?
So when Allah says, Yes, you lower your
gaze.
You lower your gaze.
Next question.
Barak Allah fiqh.
The next question, there is a convert who
comes to the masjid.
He was born a man but identifies and
dresses like a woman.
He goes to the women area of the
masjid and prays.
How do we approach and handle this situation?
No, he should not be allowed to go
to the women and to pray with the
women, okay?
Because he's a man.
Biologically, he's a man.
And now, those who took hormones, they became
just like women.
He comes also to the, where the men
are praying, no man wants him to stand
next to him because he's like a woman,
okay?
So one of the masjid, well, asked the
same thing on the altar.
He said, then he should pray by himself,
stand alone behind the rock, right?
And he has to seek medication to get
rid of this, what he did to his
body.
Because he went to the sister, the sister,
they told him, Leave, you are a man.
Come to the men, they say, you are
a woman.
Allah musta'am.
Next.
The next question.
I recently got in the habit of forgetting,
not remembering.
Is this because of some sin?
And can you tell me a dua for
good memory?
No doubt, sinning affects one's iman.
And the having sharp memory, remembering the ayat,
remembering the hadith.
Before that, you were, it was easy for
you to memorize.
And you know yourself, and now you are
committing sins.
So you cannot memorize as you used to
memorize.
As Imam Shafi'i said, They
said, Imam Shafi'i said about himself, Any
page I look at, I memorize it.
So if I am now opening the book,
I want to memorize page one.
I cover with my sleeve, page two.
Because if I see page two, I'll memorize
it before page one.
And he said, one day I wanted to
memorize, I couldn't.
So I knew something happened to me.
So he came to his Sheikh, Waqi' ibn
al-Jarrah.
So he came to his Sheikh.
My Sheikh, I cannot memorize.
So his Sheikh immediately told him, not try
again and again and repeat.
No, he told him, you did something.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is sending
you a message.
I complained to Waqi' ibn al-Jarrah, I
cannot memorize.
So the advice of his Sheikh was, shun
and leave sinning.
He told me that knowledge is light.
The light of Allah.
He would not be giving as a gift
to sin.
So no doubt, watching the haram, watching movies
will affect your memory.
Eating haram will affect your memory.
Listening to music will affect.
So one has to shun and quit sinning
and these sinful acts and
repentance.
Asking Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgiveness and
help, and Allah will help, no doubt.
Also the ulema, they mentioned, they said, the
dry grapes or raisins, sultana, these things, they
help the memory also, they activate it.
I hope this is clear to the questioner.
Next.
What is your take on a person who
believes and denies, not basing on hadith signs,
but according to his own understanding?
Allah guide him, no doubt he is in
a risky situation.
And if he dies upon this situation, he
will regret.
You just follow your Hawa, follow your whims
and desires.
So you are following your whims and desires.
This is how I understand it.
So who are you?
You are ignorant.
You are not qualified.
Otherwise, this is how I see it.
Everyone can, this is how I understand it.
Things will become a chaos.
Knowledge is not like that.
There are principles, there are rules.
In our mundane affairs, we respect rules.
No one can say something regarding the speciality
that is not his.
Cannot talk about medicine when you are not
a doctor.
You cannot open a clinic and say, I
know medicine.
No one will give you the permit.
And you will be arrested and put behind
bars because you're not qualified.
You're not qualified.
So the deen, the same thing.
You have to be qualified.
It's not that everyone will say whatever he
wants.
May Allah guide you and may Allah guide
him or her.
Ameen.
Next.
Ameen.
The next question.
Can you explain the hadith which is reported
by Aneesa which says that the Prophet ﷺ
went to the house of Umm Haram and
slept.
And the story that says that she finally
requested to be amongst the shuhada.
So if you could explain the full story.
Yeah, the Prophet ﷺ, he was sleeping and
then he got up smiling and he said,
Where are you smiling, O Prophet of Allah?
He said, my ummah, I saw them traveling
in the sea.
Okay, riding the sea, sitting on seats like
the thrones of the kings.
Okay.
So they are traveling because of a military
expedition.
He said, ask Allah to make me among
them.
And he prayed for her.
And when she, I think during the reign
of Sayyidina Muawiyah, she went.
And when she reached, I think, maybe Cyprus.
Cyprus, okay.
When she was coming from the ship, she
mounted a beast and then fell and she
died.
And they buried her there.
And her grave is there.
So he prayed for her.
Yes.
Next.
The next question.
Here in India, one of the scholars saying
riba is different from interest.
How a common person understands this?
Kindly clarify it.
He cannot be a scholar.
First of all, disqualify him.
Finish.
He's not a scholar.
Because the riba of today is worse than
the riba before.
What the banks are doing is a combination
of the two types of riba.
For the riba, two types, riba fadhl and
riba naseeah.
Riba al-fadhl, to exchange a commodity with
the commodity with extra amount.
To exchange one kilo rice with two kilo
rice, one kilo American rice, Basmati rice for
two kilos American rice.
This is riba.
But this is rice and this is rice.
Or wheat with wheat or barley with barley.
But different, the amount or quantity.
This is riba al-fadhl.
Same item, but different.
The amount of the quantity is different.
And this was a practice before Islam.
Islam prohibited it.
Another type of riba is called the riba
naseeah.
Naseeah means postponement or delay.
I come to you, I borrow from you
money.
And they say, I will not pay you
now, after one year.
I said, OK, fine.
I borrow from you $1,000.
I said, OK, it will be $1,200.
So the $200 is the value of the
duration, the time.
So this is called the riba naseeah.
And it's haram, prohibited.
What the banks are doing, the combination of
the two.
Because in Islam, what generates money, money doesn't
breed money.
Money doesn't generate money.
What generates money is work, amal.
What the banks are doing, it takes your
money and give from x, give it to
y, and takes riba.
Which is naseeah.
And it is fadhl.
Fadhl also, you have to imagine before, I
think, the Second World War.
The banknote you have, there is an equivalent
amount of gold deposited in the bank.
Deposited.
So this banknote you have, there is equivalent
amount of gold for it.
So basically, if I borrow from you $100,
that means I borrowed some grams of gold.
And now I have to give it back
$200 or $150.
That means more grams of gold.
So it is fadhl.
So this is what the banks are doing.
So it's the combination of the two types
of riba.
Fadhl and naseeah are together.
Next question, please.
BarakAllahu feekh, sheikh.
This was the final and last question.
May Allah accept the class, the duroos, and
may Allah accept the attendance of all the
students.
I will hand it back to the sheikh
to conclude the lesson.
BarakAllahu feekum wa jazakumullahu khayran.
Assalamu alaikum.
Wa alaikumussalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Jazakumullahu khayran.
Dear brothers and sisters, for your patience, attendance,
may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala elevate your
status on this world.
And may Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept
our deeds and your deeds.
And may Allah keep us steadfast on the
straight path and save us from going astray.
Ameen.
Until we meet inshallah in the coming session,
I leave you in Allah's company and protection.
Bi hurmati Muhammad al-Mustafa wa bi siri
Surat al-Fatiha.
