The speaker discusses the differences between Islam and religion, gives advice on deeds, and provides insight into the prophecy and deeds.
AI: Summary ©
Ready when you are, sir.
Ready inshallah.
How's your health, Sheikh? Everything is well inshallah.
Brothers
and sisters,
and welcome
to our lesson,
the 53rd
lesson, lesson number 53
of the
3 fundamental principles
delivered by our sheikh, Sheikh Salim Al Amri.
Inshallah, we'll pop pass the mic and the
screen to the Sheikh, and the Sheikh can
begin.
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,
today is our weekly class.
The last
of the 3 fundamentals of Islam
by the Sheikh Al Imam,
and Mujadid Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab
Ibrahim.
And with each what the sheikh has spoken
about,
the
rank of Al
Ihsan. The
after he's talked about the Islam, the imam,
and the Islam.
And today, we continue,
and we'll go through the famous hadith of
Jibreel alaihis salaam,
and this is one of the most important
hadith.
This hadith
explains
the entire deen
al Islam.
He said,
the
evidence from the sunnah
for the 3
ranks mentioned, the iman,
the Islam, and the Hassan,
Hadithu, Jibril, and Mashur, and Omar Ibn Khattab
of the Allahu
This is
the hadith of Yibreel, and now we'll go
through it in English.
So the also,
he mentioned this hadith as a proof
from the sunnah.
This hadith
mentioned
the issues of iman,
and that's why
the
prophet
said, this is Jibril came to teach you
your deen
your
deen. So the proof from the sunnah is
this famous hadith of Jibril,
which is reported by Sayidna Umar ibn Khattab
and who said,
and we'll go through
it bit by bit.
He said one day,
we were sitting with the prophet
when there
appeared to us a man with extremely
white garments
and
extremely
black hair.
No trace of journeying
or traveling
of journeying or traveling
could be seen on him,
nor did any amongst us recognize him.
Then he sat in front of the prophet
lining up his knees with
his knees
and placing his palms
upon his thighs
and said,
oh, Muhammad, inform me about Islam.
So
he said,
it is that you testify
that there is no deity
that has the right to be worshiped
except Allah
and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah
and that he established the prayer,
give the zakah,
fast during Ramadan, and perform Hajj,
pilgrimage to Allah's house
if you can if you are able to
do it. He said, you have spoken
truthfully.
So we were amazed that he had asked
him
and then told him that he was
truthful.
So
let us reflect on this part of the
hadith first.
So here,
Sayidna
is
describing
describing
to us
the situation.
So he's saying that we were sitting
around our
when all of a sudden,
a man appeared to us.
We don't know this person,
and his garments
are extremely clean,
extremely
white garments.
So this person
is a stranger.
So he's not from among the people of
Medina,
so he must have come from outside Medina.
So if he has come from outside Medina,
that means he was a traveler
or wayfarer,
they should be traced
of the journey,
dust,
for example,
fatigueness,
but nothing nothing nothing of that sort.
There's no sign
that he was a traveler.
His garments are extremely white,
and his hair
is extremely black,
so no single particle of dust on it.
Because to travel in Arabia,
in the desert,
you don't expect that you
your hair will remain the same, clean.
K? So when the wind blows
blows,
the
the dust
sand particles,
but
no trace
of traveling
that this person was a traveler or he
was on a journey
could be seen on him.
So this
is puzzled for us.
We don't know.
So it's not from the Madhya people of
Medina we know.
And if he's a traveler, no sign,
so this is something
perplexing, some confusing,
nor did anyone
from among us
recognize him.
So he's a stranger.
Then he sat in front of the prophet.
This is another thing
very strange.
He sat in front of the prophet,
and he placed his knees
next to the knees of the prophet.
No one does that.
No one does that.
And placing his
palms
upon
his thigh.
Whose thigh? The pelvis thighs or his own
thigh?
K.
Most probably his own thighs. That's why said
this is that is how a student of
knowledge should sit in front of his
in the study circuit.
So you sit down in front of your
putting your palms on your own side
and listen attentively,
and you don't look at your and stare
at your.
Just focus on your book
and don't miss anything your sheikh says.
This is the adab, and this is the
the etiquette of the students of Nani, and
soon,
I'm going to start
teaching,
maybe this coming Thursday,
the book of
Sheikh Baqalbuzayin,
the etiquette of the students of Nali.
Right?
So this how you you sit in front
of your Sheikh.
These are the manners and the other.
So that's what he did.
And then he said, oh, Muhammad,
inform me about
Islam
about Islam.
So now
he is asking about Islam.
Naturally, when you ask, that means you want
to learn.
So the prophet
has started to explain to him.
It is that you testify that there's no
deity
that has the right to be worshipped except
Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of
Allah, and this is very important.
This is the key of the Jannah.
The key of the Jannah, my dear brothers
and sisters,
is the Shahada,
the meaning of
This is the key.
No one said
no Jannah
at all.
So
all humanity,
all mankind,
after
the Palestine
came,
they have no excuse except
to follow the because
he is the way.
He's the way
to the through
him.
He's the one who teaches us and shows
us the way of salvation.
That's why he said,
No Jew or the Christian
from this Ummah,
He hears about
me, then he doesn't follow me except that
Allah will cast him into the fire.
Because the ummah of the prophet,
2 types.
Umatu Dawa
and Umatu Ijab.
The ummah
who responded, the nation that responded,
the group that responded and accepted the guidance,
which we are,
the Muslims.
So we we are called
Ummah to Ijaba. We responded.
The second type of Ummah,
a nation, a group of people,
Ummah to Dawa, those to whom
the invitation
is given.
Those who are addressed by
and invited
to
the belief in the oneness of Allah.
They
invite his
that's called
Ummatul
Dawa.
So the prophet said, no one
from this Ummah,
you, a Christian,
from my Ummah, this Ummah,
the Ummah, the Ummah,
who hears about me,
then he doesn't accept,
he has no excuse
before Allah,
and Allah will throw him into the fire.
And that's why also the prophet said about
Abu Jahl,
that
Abu Jahl is the pharaoh of this Ummah.
Which Ummah? The Ummah of Dua.
Their pharaoh is Abu Jahal.
So
the key of the Jannah
is the Shahada.
To believe
in the oneness of Allah
and to believe that no one deserves to
be worshiped but Allah Aqsa is the only
true deity
that deserves to be worshiped.
Any other deity is just false deity,
and you should disbelieve in it disbelief in
it. As Allah said,
Whoever believes in Allah and disbelieve in the
Tawhut, for Tawhut means false stated.
So the meaning of the Kalimah, the meaning
of is
There's no deity worthy of worship but Allah,
and Muhammad is his messenger.
And the meaning of Muhammad Rasool Allah is
there's no one worthy to be followed except
Muhammad which
is called
that means you follow only the prophet.
Then he mentions
and that you establish the prayer.
If
you don't pray, you're not a
Muslim. That's humble.
So when he doesn't pray, he's not a
Muslim.
K?
So whoever leaves the salah, he's
he left Islam.
So the salah and this is
unanimously
agreed upon the Sahaba, among the Sahaba.
There was a consensus
regarding the one who doesn't pray, that he's
not a Muslim.
So don't treat your prayers lightly.
And that you pray, establish the prayer.
The Malaika
rebuke and reprimand
the people of *.
Whenever a group
a new
group
and
batch
is
thrown to the hellfire
before they enter the angels.
They
rebuke them.
They blame them.
What's brought to the blazing fire?
Why are you here?
They would say
because we were not praying,
and that you established the prayer.
Then give the zakah
the zakah,
which is one of the pillars of Islam.
If someone refused to give the zakah,
the state
can take
it by force
and can confiscate
his wealth
and take the zakat and half of his
wealth.
So next time,
he will come running giving the zakah.
So the zakah
is one of the pillars of Islam,
That's why
and this how
Allah
resolved and solved
the issue of
poverty
to the zakah system.
If all the Muslims,
the rich one,
give the zakah,
you will never find any Muslim who's in
need.
So the zakah
solve that it addresses that issue
and solved the problem
of prophecy.
During the reign of Sayidina Umar Abu Abdul
Abdul Abdul Aziz,
the zakah collectors
could not find anyone who's eligible for the
zakah,
So they wrote to say, no,
Umair Abdel Aziz
telling him
no one is willing to accept it. Everyone
is saying I'm fine.
He said, okay.
Buy slaves and set them free.
Immaculate
slaves.
He said we did,
and the money
still abandoned.
Baraka.
He said count those who are not married,
boys and girls, and get them married.
They did, and then they wrote. They said
the money is still
Baraka.
So give the zakah.
Said not Abu Bakr Sadid,
he fought Banu Hanifa when they refused to
give the zakah,
and he said, by Allah,
I will fight whoever differentiators
differentiates
between the prayer and the zakah.
So the zakah.
Give the zakah.
So
when
you have
the amount of money equivalent
to the price of 85 grams of gold,
you have to give the zakah. That is
the
the minimum amount.
You have to give the zakah.
Then fast
and perform Hajj to the house of Allah
if you can
afford that, if you are financially able to
do that.
So
fasting
the month of Ramadan is one of the
pillars of Islam
One of the pillars of Islam
as Allah says,
Or you who believe
fast
fasting
has been prescribed for you as it was
prescribed for those before you.
Perhaps that you will
achieve
piety,
taqwa,
and perform the Hajj, and it is once
in one's
lifetime.
K?
Once in your lifetime,
you go and visit the house of Allah,
and you'll be formed the rites and the
rituals of the Hajj.
And if someone
died without
performing it,
then
the inheritors or the heirs,
those who are inherited him, should be formed
the Hajj on his behalf.
But one has to
hurry up and to not procrastinate
and delaying the Hajj.
So when you are able
physically,
financially,
you have to go to the Hajj.
And if the way to Mecca is safe,
these are these are the conditions. And, also,
another condition for a woman,
she should have a.
For a woman, she should be accompanied by
a,
by man,
and a woman cannot be a for another
woman. And there is no for a woman.
The strongest opinion, she is exempted from the
Hajj, and she will not be held accountable,
and she
will not be
questioned.
So perform the Hajj
to the house of Allah
if you are able to do so.
Then said
he said, you have spoken truthfully.
You have spoken 2, 3. You have
told
the truth.
So we were amazed
that he asked he had asked him and
then told him that he was truthful, which
means that he knew the answer.
K.
That means he was just
checking
and questioning.
So this is very
confusing.
So he's not asking to learn
because
after he heard the answer,
he affirmed that you have spoken the truth,
which means
he's attesting
what the prophet said.
Then he said,
Jibril, after that, he asked,
inform me about imam.
So he asked
about Islam,
and they want you h one to draw
3 circles,
big circle
that is called Islam,
another circle inside it called iman,
a small circle,
a third circle, the most inner one, al
ihsan.
So we have
Hassan, iman, and Islam.
So the biggest circle is the circle of
Al Islam,
and that is when you
enter and you become a Muslim.
And then you move and enter the second
circle, the circle of imam.
And then further you go and enter the
circle
of Al Islam.
So that's the three levels. Level 1, Al
Islam,
level 2, Al Imam, and level 3 is
Al Islam.
Al Islam,
externally,
your external
deeds,
it is related to the outward
action.
If the
the two words,
Islam and iman, are mentioned
simultaneously
in the same context,
Islam and iman,
so each one has to be understood differently.
Islam
talks about the external
actions and deeds
of the worshipper,
and iman talks about the internal one. So
Islam about the outward
and the iman about the inward.
That is if the two words are mentioned
in the same
context.
The veteran said, we believe. Allah said, no.
Don't say that.
Say, Islamna, we submit it.
The iman hasn't settled in your hearts yet.
Externally, you confessed,
but internally,
still, you have a problem.
The same thing
Allah said about the family of Noah Noah
that
he deliver
those who were Mu'min,
And then he described the household as Muslim.
We found in that township only a household
from among the Muslim.
So he described the household
as Muslim.
And when he delivered,
he delivered the.
So what's the difference?
Why he described the household as a Muslim,
not as a.
And then he said, those who are delivered
are the
because the wife
of Noah
was in that household.
Externally,
she is a Muslim.
Internally,
she is not.
So Allah describes the household
because of that member as Muslim.
But when he delivered them,
he excluded
the wife of
Lut.
I said no Noah. No. Lut Lut, Alisa
Lam. Lut.
So he excluded
the wife of Lut, Lut.
So she was not delivered because she was
not.
K?
So if you are reading
the hadith or an ayah
and you found Islam and iman, the 2
words in the
text,
then the Islam talks about the external
acts and
the iman about the internal.
But if it is only one
word is mentioned,
Islam is mentioned alone or the word iman
mentioned alone, they can be used
interchangeably.
Islam is imam. Imam is Islam. They can
be used in that context, in that case.
For example, when Allah says,
Oh, you who believe
when the call of the Friday prayer is
made, is chanted,
fresh
to the remembrance of Allah, which means the
Friday prayer.
Can we say Allah is only calling the
not the Muslim? No.
Because here,
those
you who
believe also addresses the Muslims. So if anyone,
any word is mentioned
independently,
separately by itself,
then it covers the meaning of the other,
and they can be used
interchangeably.
But if they are used together,
then the meaning
is different. Islam talks about the outward
actions and the iman about the inward ones.
That's why the is saying, is a is
a is
a is a When they are mentioned together,
the meaning is different.
And if they are mentioned
separately,
then the meaning is
one. They can be used
inter interchangeably.
Then they said inform me about the imam.
And the imam,
as you know,
according to the belief of Al Usunno Al
Jama,
al
This is the definition of iman.
Right?
It is the faith,
the belief in the heart.
That conviction and faith in the heart.
Something tied.
You believe in that set you have that
set of belief in your heart, and it
is tied,
fixed.
By the the heart.
You have to verbalize it. You express what
you hold in your heart. You express what
you believe.
So that's why you have to declare the,
and you have to verbalize and utter and
say, I bear witness. There's no
deity. There's no god with worship but Allah
and that Muhammad is his messenger.
And if we are unable
to express that,
for example, you are dumb. You cannot talk,
then you can't write, and you give us
any sign.
Actions by the link. So there there are
3 components
that constitute
imam,
the faith, the conviction,
then
the utterance,
and then the actions.
And if one of them is missing,
then there's no
no imam. If one of them is missing,
there's no imam. And
this imam rises and falls, increases and decreases,
builds up,
increases when you do good deeds, and
it falls
and decreases when you commit
sins.
So this is the definition
of the imam.
So not only the faith and the heart,
that is the belief of the
the.
So the believer
the correct belief,
there are 3 elements. If one of them
is
not
present,
no iman. No iman at all.
Then he said, inform me about Iman, the
prophet
said.
It is that you believe in Allah.
You believe in Allah. And to believe in
Allah, you believe in his presence,
in his existence,
in his person,
in his names and attributes,
in his life
to be worshiped alone.
That's the meaning of the belief in Allah.
So you believe regarding his divine names and
attributes,
which we call unity of lordship,
You believe that he is the one who
deserve to be worshiped, and you single him
out
with your own with our own actions,
and that's called
unity of worship
unity
of
the worship or,
divinity.
And then
you single him out
regarding his names.
So regarding his actions, there will be a
lordship that he creates.
No one creates. He provides.
No one else provides, etcetera.
And then as Mount Shrivat, his divine names
and attributes,
then the actions of his servant.
And you believe in his existence,
and you believe that he is far away
from any imperfection.
No imperfect
attributes can be attributed to him, subhanallah, to
Allah, glory be to him.
It is that you believe in Allah.
So this day, man, you believe in Allah.
His angels,
those
creatures that Allah created
from light,
no one knows the number except Allah.
There are so many.
They are the inhabitants
of the heavens.
Some of them, they come to earth
every day.
70,000
angels,
they
perform.
They go around the Beit El Amur in
the first heaven. The Beit El Amur is
like the Kaaba in the first heaven, above
the Kaaba exactly,
and the Malaika, they make the last accumulation,
and they go around that house in the
first heaven.
So every day, 70,000
will go, and they will never come back.
This gives you,
an idea about the
the number
of the Malaika.
And they are so beautiful,
and they are so obedient.
They don't
disobey Allah.
K. Some of them, their names are mentioned,
like Gabriel,
k,
and.
Some, we don't know,
And they have mission. They have tasks
like Mikael.
Michael is
in charge of the rains.
Malek is
the gatekeeper of the hellfire.
The gatekeeper of heaven, etcetera.
And you want details?
Read
the word of the angels
by Sheikh Ahmed
Al Asqar.
I recommend that every Muslim, brother or sister,
to read the whole series
of this,
Sheikh.
K?
Get those books, download them free,
and read.
Okay. His angels who are created from light,
Then his revealed books, the revelation that Allah
sent down.
Allah sent down the books
as guidance for mankind.
K?
Though some books are known to us, some,
they're not.
K? The known books, Torah,
the
good news, the book that was given to
Isa Alai Salam,
not the New Testament,
the book of Mark, Luke,
John, and Matthew.
No.
The gospel of
Isa.
There are many
gospels there.
We Muslims believe in the gospel of Esau,
not the gospel according to Mark, according to
Luke,
according to according to Matthew and John
or Thomas or.
Where is the gospel
of Jesus Christ,
That's what we Muslims believe.
And we have the
zabur, the Psalms
that were giving to
Dawud alaihis salam, prophet David alaihis salam,
and the, the scrolls,
the pages that were giving to
Ibrahim.
Regarding
other, we don't know.
Though what we know that Allah
said
that every nation
on the
globe,
Allah send them
warnings,
messengers.
Every community,
Allah sent to them
messenger.
That's why
when you read those who are interested in
comparative
religion studies,
some of the scriptures of other nations,
you see
remnants of the truth.
For example,
in some scriptures,
you find the description of the prophet,
and his even his mother,
Amina,
which means
these are remnants
of something divine
was given
to a prophet who was sent to those
people,
and then over
time, things were
corrupted
and adulterated.
So you believe then after you believe in
the books, you believe in
the messengers of Allah.
And we don't know the number
exactly
except in one direction, I think,
124,000.
Some, their names are mentioned. Some, we don't
know their names,
which means this give you an idea that
Allah sent,
as he said,
to every community a messenger
calling his people.
Worship Allah alone.
And avoid and shun the false
deities.
And the last day, you have to believe
in the last day, and it's called the
last day because there's no day after it.
And that's the day of resurrection. That's the
day of judgment. That's the day of reckoning
and the compares.
The last day
where
all
children of Adam will be gathered.
All humanity will be resurrected.
Graves will be opened.
Those who were cremated
will be brought back.
Those who were eaten by the
birds and the wild animals will be brought
back,
all humanity,
and they will be gathered
in the land of assembly.
And
there,
that is the horrible day.
May Allah make it easy for all of
us.
When the sun will be above the hedge
and people are sweating,
some are drowning in their own sweat,
And some will be in their shades. May
Allah
make us among them. And some will be
in the shade of the mighty throne. May
Allah bless us
and make us among them, I mean.
The last day, that's the day.
Because after that,
evil will be sheltered.
Heaven,
paradise,
or the hellfire.
And that you believe in the other
the destiny,
that everything is ordained by Allah.
You know,
the good of it, and the bad of
it.
And we talked about the Qadr many times,
and you should keep in mind
the
components of the belief in Qadr.
Knowledge that Allah knows everything.
Then second thing,
writing
because he knew everything. He commanded the pen
to write everything.
Then
the
will
and its 2 types, universal will and the
legal will. Universal will, whatever happened,
even
that Allah doesn't like it,
but it happened
and Allah allowed things to happen
for a divine wisdom
and the legal will what Allah
loves to happen,
but not necessarily what he loves takes place.
He wants you to obey him and you
disobey him.
So when you disobey him, you disobey him
according to the league universal will, not the
legal will.
Why did he allow you to disobey
him? Because he has given you free will
so that you will be held accountable, and
you will be called
for accountability
on the day you meet him.
And then the 4th
component
is the creation.
So he
knew, he wrote, he willed things to happen,
then he created.
So no one creates except Allah
because creation requires
time,
will,
place,
power.
These are the components
of the action,
and no one
created any of these things, which constitute the
constituent
and components of action.
If I drop now an object,
that is an action. What did I require
in order to drop that object?
Strength and the muscle.
Will I decide?
Place
on which that action took place.
And time,
these four components constitute the action.
Which one I created?
None of them. Who created all of them?
Allah.
So who created my action? Allah.
So what did I do? I used the
created strength and the created will
to establish an event
that was not there,
and I will be held accountable
about that action
if it is good or bad. That's it.
So that's the other.
And to believe
in the the good of it and the
bad of it. He said, you have spoken
truthfully.
So that
means he knew.
Then he said, now
inform me about
about the ihsan, perfection,
excellence,
the highest level of the deen.
He said,
it is that you worship Allah as
if you see him,
as if you are seeing him.
But even though you do not see him,
indeed, he sees you.
And this is
the the rank, and this is the face
and the status that each one of us
should strive
to reach,
that you worship Allah as if we as
if you are seeing him.
Though you are not seeing him, but he
sees you.
So when you stand in your prayer,
your salah,
you have that feeling
that you are in front of Allah and
he is watching you, and he is looking
at you, and he sees you.
So any
you do
you do it while you have that
feeling
that feeling.
You worship Allah as if you are seeing
Allah.
Mister Sahaba,
the
prophet used to
describe to them
the jannah,
they
said. We feel that we are already there
in the jannah.
So this is that's why
the is the highest level,
and that is the
of the Nas, and
is not.
I warned you, my dear brothers and sisters,
don't
be deceived
by the
who are saying
is
reaching the.
Is totally different.
K?
Is different, totally different.
Mysticism
is something
new to Al Islam.
Mysticism
is not part of Al Islam.
If you call
and you mean the,
we say, brother, we disagree with you regarding
the terminology.
Don't use this
because the word and
mysticism
is problematic,
so don't use that.
Use what the prophet
called it, called it.
He didn't call it,
So don't use this, please.
Because when you use that terminology,
you confuse the people.
And you say
is the task here.
Is to reach the level of.
You are confusing people
because people who study and read
about mysticism
and about the real founder of mysticism
and the early Suvis,
those who called them
Suvish,
and they were not Sunnis.
They were not Sunni,
the early founders of Suvish.
Deviant sect.
And that's why
the,
the scholars of Islam, they criticize
and they didn't criticize their
son.
Like,
when he wrote his book,
the
deception of Satan,
how he misled
those
mistakes.
He said, I left Baghdad,
and then his already started.
Those people, the Soviets.
And he
said,
Whoever
stays
with
the
Soviets
for
40
days,
he will lose his sanity.
This is what the said.
So this means
is not a son. Otherwise, Imam would not
criticize a son.
He said, whoever
strives to reach a son, he will lose
his mind.
So he's talking about a particular
deviant thought
with your.
40 days, you are with them.
You will lose your sanity.
Because what you are going to hear?
Nonsense.
When you read their books
I told you I have one complete corner
in my library,
the books of the Soviets.
And when you read,
it's just
something unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
Something no one can digest it.
And there are certain things are very shameful
you cannot mention.
And they call this.
What's?
So Hassan
is not.
So don't deceive us
and use the word Hassan as a camouflage
to sell
and
saying that is
only
the. Call it.
Why you insist to use the sir
term Sufism,
which is problematic?
And when we see and study
the works of the real mystics on Sufis,
ebin Arabi,
Hadraj,
Ibn Sabeel,
Ibn Alfal.
They are pantheists.
They believe in
like Ibn Arabi in his books.
Mister Hatmakiya.
You tell me these are not his books.
People, they lie. So take all these books
and burn them,
and do not translate them, and do not
repaint
them.
So stop lying.
You keep reprinting and translating,
and you say these are not his books.
And the scientifical
search showed these are his
books. Regarding him whether he died while
and that believer, no. This is a lot
of. We are talking about the legacy
he left
behind,
the legacy he left behind.
Or Al Halayd
who believes
in reincarnation.
Anna.
I am
the the one who loves and the one
who is beloved.
We are 2 spirits in 1 body.
When you see me, you see him.
And when you see him, you see me.
That means you see Allah.
And they killed him.
So Sufism, my dear brothers and sisters,
has nothing to do with Islam.
So here the prophet he said
when he asked him,
inform me
about Islam, he said,
it is that you worship Allah as if
you see him,
but even though you do not see him,
he indeed sees you. Then said,
now inform me about
the final
hour. Oh,
so now he's asking
the to tell him about
the
the hour.
Now inform me about the final hour, the
day of resurrection, the day of judgment.
Said, the one who's being asked
does not have any more knowledge of it
than the one who is asking.
You know better than myself.
You know better than myself.
So the one who's being asked, that means
myself, the prophet saying,
does not have any more knowledge. My knowledge
is not more than yours
of it of the hour
than the one who is asking.
Though even Jibril,
he doesn't know
the exact
hour
that Allah kept it to himself.
So here
the prophet said, my knowledge
is not more than yours.
The hour we know that it is going
to be on Friday,
one Friday, which one we don't know,
but it will
take place
on Friday. It will fall on Friday.
That's why the prophet
said every Friday,
all creatures
are in state of fear.
Animals, birds,
except 2 types,
mankind and the jinn
because they are fool
and ignorant.
On Friday,
they are sinning and committing sins.
The rest of Allah's creation
are in the state of fear,
and that's why the Fajr prayer of Friday
is the best
prayer. So it is going to take place
on Friday. Which Friday? Allah knows.
So here, the prophet is telling you, brief.
My knowledge is not more than
yours. So said
he said, so then inform me about its
signs. Okay.
You don't know the time of it, so
tell me about the signs of the hour.
He
said, it will be
the signs. And believe me, my dear brothers
and sisters,
we are almost there.
The signs of the hours
are unfolding,
unfolding, unfolding,
and the events
they are disclosing
and unfolding.
And every day you say the prophet said
the truth, the prophet said the truth,
because you are seeing things happening.
He said it will be when the mother
gives birth
to her female master,
female mistress,
or male master.
What does it mean?
You know, my dear brothers and sisters,
if you have a slave girl in those
days,
no more slaves now,
she is like your wife.
You can have 4 women 4 wives
and
unlimited number of slaves.
Okay?
This was permissible.
And it existed before.
As mentioned many times,
Islam did not cause slavery. Islam
resolved the issue of slavery.
Islam
came with a pragmatic,
practical
solution for the issue of slavery.
That's why today we don't have slaves.
Moses Islam looks to the matter,
said, what are the inputs of slavery? So
he blocked those inputs.
How about those slaves who are already there?
So he provided
outlets
solutions.
If you
took
an oath,
x v 8 by setting the slave free.
You slept with your wife during Ramadan,
set a slave free.
Set a slave free. Set a slave free.
You committed
crime by mistake.
K?
Not deliberate
murder.
Set a slave free.
And those slaves, you treat them nicely.
You don't call them slaves.
You they eat the same food of the
like the master. They sit and eat with
the master. They they clothe and they dress
like their master. What? They're not slaves.
Now this woman,
she is like a wife.
So the
relationship
marriage of relationship is legal,
and the children are legitimate children.
So now she became pregnant,
and that's why if you read in the
books of,
they will call
her
mother of
a child.
So now she give birth
to a boy. So the boy is free
like his father.
So
the the son is her son, at the
same time, he's her master
her master.
If she gave a birth to a girl,
the girl is
her daughter and her mistress.
And
this mother,
when her husband dies
and she gave birth to a child,
she will become free by default automatically.
So here, the prophet said
that it will be when the mother gives
birth to her
master. So the here
said,
though now we don't have slaves,
it's either because of the jihad,
and there will be,
slaves at the end of time,
or
as they'll have over Hajar and others,
said it could be rendered
metaphorically
that
the
will become so rampant,
and dutifulness
of children
will be so rampant
and widespread
so that the children,
they will treat their mothers as if they're
assholes.
Shout at them, beat them,
mistreat them. So they treat their mothers as
if they're asslates,
and no one knows that.
Then the prophet
mentioned after that,
when the barefooted,
barren,
and lowly will
compete with one another
in constructing
tall buildings.
You can see the fulfillment of this prophecy
with your own eyes.
Barefooted.
No shoes.
K? I am a veteran,
and that's how we grow
up, but no shoes.
No shoes.
We run after the camels and the and
the shab sheeps,
no shoes.
I was a shepherd in my childhood.
When they bare footed,
how far,
naked,
almost
naked. See the old rickshaws of the Arabs,
the Bedrock.
Most of the time,
you see only
a cloth covering the lower part part of
his body,
And today, he has a lofty building,
high building.
This doesn't mean it is haram, but this
is a fulfillment of a prophecy.
When these things happen,
the is very close.
And you see the will
compete.
They compete with each other.
Who will build
a building
taller than the other? They compete with each
other.
Then Jibril, Alisala, then he left,
and we remained seated
there for a while.
Then he
said, oh, Omar,
do you know who the questioner was?
Do you know who the questioner was?
I said, Allah
and his messenger
know best.
We don't know.
This is the other of the.
He said
that was Jibril,
the man
who very clean
white garment,
black hair.
So Jibril
used to come in
in the form of a human being, and
he used to come,
in in the form of a human being
resembling one of the Sahaba, Dehi al Kelbi.
That was Jibril who came to teach you
your religion, to teach you your deen. May
Allah
increase our knowledge in the deen, and may
Allah
forgive us our faults, mistakes, and ignorance, and
may Allah
unite our umm on the haqq, and may
Allah
unite our hearts on the haqq, and may
Allah
elevate your status,
my dear brothers and sisters in this world
and the one to come. And may Allah
keep us to remain
steadfast on this beautiful deen till we meet
him.
He is pleased with all of us.
Amen.
We will begin the question and answers time
now.
Brothers and sisters, please send in your questions
fast
so we can address them in time. I
believe we have received some already. So
we will start with those.
If anyone
wants to raise their hand, you can do
by pressing raise hand, and we can take
your questions,
verbally also inshallah.
Okay. So
the first question, Sheikh.
If a Muslim gets some oil into their
hair
by trying to get it onto their face,
then must they wash the oil out in
order to perform?
When does the oil act as a barrier?
No. The oil doesn't act as a barrier,
like olive oil and these things.
And that's why you just
you try to
to rub it because, normally, the oil
I'm talking about the olive oil. That's what
the prophet
recommended. But if it is,
something else and forms a film and a
layer, then you have to remove it. But,
normally, normal oil will be absorbed by the
skin.
So if it still, let's say, forms a
layer and prevents the water from reaching,
then you need to remove it in order
for the or the to be correct
and valid.
Next.
Next question, Sheikh.
Is it sinful or is it permissible
for a woman to privately
seek financial support
for herself and child without informing her husband
If her husband is irresponsible
and
is fond of humiliate
humiliating
her when she asks from him,
can she register in a masjid as a
needy?
Okay. She but she has to make her
case clear
so people will not,
if they discover later on,
they say that she's cheating us. So she
has to explain her situation
and tell them this is my situation. Yes.
I am married, but my husband doesn't look
after me and my child, and he doesn't
give us the maintenance.
So I need
help.
So if he mentions and from day 1
and made it very clear, there's no harm,
Inshallah.
And the moment the husband
started providing for her and her husband and
her child, then she should not continue taking
help
from this Masjid or from the organization,
etcetera.
Next.
Sheikh, is it sinful or is it in
is is it permissible for her to seek
this
help without informing her husband?
Of course, first of all, she has to
ask for her right. This is her right,
and she can file a case
against her husband if he's in a Muslim
country,
and he has he will be forced to,
provide the
the maintenance
for his
wife and her her son.
That is her right.
But if she is in a non Muslim
country and there's no way and there's no
system
and he doesn't want,
then there's no sin in her path to
ask for help from the community. But
my advice, you have to explain to them.
This is my situation.
I don't want you to start doubting
my honesty.
Yes. I am married,
but this is my situation. Either you help
me against him
and someone can talk to him so that
he will start looking at the us,
or you help me. What do you want
me to do?
Is this clear?
Yes, Sheikh. Inshallah, it is clear. The next
question.
Some people relate the hadith of slave giving
birth to her master with the incidence of
Suraj Gassif.
They say that the child born
from a surrogate
mother is like her master
as she takes money for giving birth to
him.
Does this have any basis?
No. This is nonsense.
So so obviously is haram.
K?
Because
to hire a womb
and you give your egg,
and it is and it's haram.
Okay? They
fertilize your egg with the sperm of your
husband, then you put it in another womb.
That's not allowed in Islam. That's totally prohibited.
K? Because now the child is going to
have 2 mothers,
biological mother
and the one who bore him in her
womb,
and this is problematic.
So all this is haram in Islam.
K?
So the
Muslim scholars,
unanimously,
you cannot
hire a womb and
put your seed in it.
She's not your wife.
She's not your wife.
She's totally haram.
Is this clear to the questioner?
This clear,
The next question, is it Sunnah to raise
hands and make dua after Avant
and during the gap between the Friday sermon?
So now that is the did
that? No.
We we, there isn't
an explicit evidence that the
used to practice this.
But
in general,
there are a hadith that
Allah
will not turn your hands empty when you
raise them.
So from the adab of the dua, you
raise your hand when you suffocate.
But to say that the
used to do this, no. There isn't.
Any explicit narration about that, as far as
I know.
Next.
Sheikh,
that was actually the final question for tonight.
If you'd like to conclude.
May Allah
bless you
and bless your efforts
and accept your deeds, and may Allah reward
all of you, my dear brothers and sister,
for your dedication,
for your patience,
for your attendance.
May Allah keep us remain
steadfast in this beautiful deen,
and may Allah please us in the aim
and taqwa ami.
Till we meet
In the coming session,
I leave you in a large company and
protection.
