Another being in the spirit world,

00:00:02 --> 00:00:04

we would have said, well, look, that's a

00:00:04 --> 00:00:05

different creation.

00:00:06 --> 00:00:08

Obviously, they're gonna find some of this stuff

00:00:08 --> 00:00:10

easy or, and we're gonna we're not gonna

00:00:10 --> 00:00:12

be able to copy that.

00:00:13 --> 00:00:15

So the creator sends human beings,

00:00:18 --> 00:00:20

people from their own backgrounds,

00:00:21 --> 00:00:22

to deliver this message

00:00:22 --> 00:00:25

in order to make it easier to follow

00:00:25 --> 00:00:26

and easier to process,

00:00:26 --> 00:00:28

easier to see, easier to witness,

00:00:29 --> 00:00:30

and easier to empathise with.

00:00:34 --> 00:00:37

So this is why it's worthwhile going through

00:00:37 --> 00:00:38

the quality of the scripture

00:00:40 --> 00:00:41

in a little bit of detail

00:00:42 --> 00:00:43

because, ultimately,

00:00:44 --> 00:00:46

if one sees the Quran, they will notice

00:00:46 --> 00:00:47

that this is not

00:00:49 --> 00:00:52

the workings of an illiterate man. Because remember,

00:00:52 --> 00:00:53

the prophet Muhammad was

00:00:54 --> 00:00:55

illiterate.

00:00:58 --> 00:01:00

It's because of the unlettered prophet. This is

00:01:00 --> 00:01:02

part of the miraculous nature

00:01:03 --> 00:01:05

of his of his prophethood.

00:01:06 --> 00:01:08

This is a proof to those people because

00:01:08 --> 00:01:10

it's ridiculous. They're literate an illiterate person. I'm

00:01:10 --> 00:01:13

gonna say an illiterate person in in the

00:01:13 --> 00:01:13

UK.

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15

Is it likely they will be able to

00:01:15 --> 00:01:18

match even forget a divine scripture, even Shakespeare?

00:01:18 --> 00:01:21

Will they be able to even get that?

00:01:21 --> 00:01:22

Or not even Shakespeare, let's go to Dickens.

00:01:23 --> 00:01:24

Or if not, let's go to Wilfred Owen

00:01:24 --> 00:01:27

or any other poetry. Will they be able

00:01:27 --> 00:01:28

to match that? No. It's impossible.

00:01:29 --> 00:01:31

Nobody's experienced this

00:01:32 --> 00:01:33

in human experience that somebody

00:01:34 --> 00:01:36

who's illiterate will be able to produce

00:01:37 --> 00:01:40

even a comp let's forget even an eloquence,

00:01:40 --> 00:01:43

even a competent speech or competent piece of

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45

writing. It's impossible. It doesn't happen.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:50

And even the non Muslims have acknowledged this

00:01:50 --> 00:01:52

fact. The people who have studied the Quran,

00:01:52 --> 00:01:53

the orientalist.

00:01:53 --> 00:01:55

Abuth Ngo explains in his book the construction

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57

of the bible of the Quran,

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59

this effect of the Quranic style. It is

00:01:59 --> 00:02:02

confessedly the standard of the Arabic time.

00:02:03 --> 00:02:05

In other words, non Muslims accept the Qur'an

00:02:05 --> 00:02:08

is the standard by which all other Arabic

00:02:08 --> 00:02:08

is judged.

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11

Even the Muslim Arabs study the Qur'an for

00:02:11 --> 00:02:11

this,

00:02:11 --> 00:02:12

as well

00:02:14 --> 00:02:16

known. He said the style of the Quran

00:02:16 --> 00:02:18

is generally good, beautiful, and fluid. And in

00:02:18 --> 00:02:20

many places, especially where the majesty and attributes

00:02:20 --> 00:02:22

of God described sublime and magnificent,

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26

he succeeded so well and so strangely captivated

00:02:26 --> 00:02:27

the minds of his audience

00:02:28 --> 00:02:30

that several of his opponents thought it to

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33

be the effect of witchcraft enchantment. This obviously

00:02:33 --> 00:02:36

talk about the the the accusations of the

00:02:36 --> 00:02:39

pagans upon the prophets of Allah.

00:02:44 --> 00:02:45

And, therefore,

00:02:51 --> 00:02:52

we will see that

00:02:55 --> 00:02:56

not just the literary miracle,

00:02:57 --> 00:02:59

but even the challenge of even bringing 1

00:02:59 --> 00:03:01

surah like it. One chapter, the smallest chapter

00:03:01 --> 00:03:03

is sort of. It's only 3 lines long

00:03:04 --> 00:03:05

or 3 verses long.

00:03:05 --> 00:03:07

They they didn't even bother.

00:03:09 --> 00:03:09

Us.

00:03:10 --> 00:03:11

This is not even touching upon the science,

00:03:11 --> 00:03:12

the embryology,

00:03:13 --> 00:03:15

which is mentioned in detail, the ground, which

00:03:15 --> 00:03:16

is over to microscopic detail.

00:03:18 --> 00:03:20

A literate man in,

00:03:20 --> 00:03:23

in amongst the people who have no interest

00:03:23 --> 00:03:23

in science.

00:03:25 --> 00:03:27

They're not they weren't even like the Babylonians.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:29

They were not even like the Egyptian ancient

00:03:29 --> 00:03:31

Egyptians. They were not even like the Greeks,

00:03:31 --> 00:03:33

the pagan Arabs. They had no interest in

00:03:33 --> 00:03:34

this,

00:03:35 --> 00:03:37

and yet the the Quran came with that.

00:03:38 --> 00:03:40

So this is an impossibility.

00:03:43 --> 00:03:45

And not only that, but this book at

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47

the same time manages to deal with different

00:03:47 --> 00:03:49

peoples in different times and places

00:03:49 --> 00:03:52

with the Quran's impact on the individual and

00:03:52 --> 00:03:52

global

00:03:53 --> 00:03:55

politics has been unparalleled,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58

and any Arabic test text both past or

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00

present has not achieved what the Quran has

00:04:00 --> 00:04:02

achieved with regards to its aesthetic reception in

00:04:02 --> 00:04:04

the order in in other words, its beauty.

00:04:06 --> 00:04:07

No other Arabic literature

00:04:08 --> 00:04:09

has that effect.

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13

So if this book

00:04:13 --> 00:04:15

clearly shows itself to be the truth,

00:04:15 --> 00:04:17

then this will shed light on why messages

00:04:17 --> 00:04:18

were sent.

00:04:20 --> 00:04:22

We touched on that a little bit before,

00:04:22 --> 00:04:25

but ultimately, why did messages keep on being

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27

sent? Why is it not just for 1

00:04:27 --> 00:04:27

book

00:04:28 --> 00:04:31

to be given and passed and disseminated throughout

00:04:31 --> 00:04:32

humanity?

00:04:34 --> 00:04:37

Again, scripture communication tells us that this was

00:04:37 --> 00:04:40

to bring human beings back from the path

00:04:40 --> 00:04:41

of deviation

00:04:41 --> 00:04:43

and to bring them black back to their

00:04:43 --> 00:04:44

natural inclination,

00:04:45 --> 00:04:47

which will revere their creator and not to

00:04:47 --> 00:04:49

revere things which are created,

00:04:49 --> 00:04:52

which they then they owe their own selves

00:04:52 --> 00:04:52

created.

00:04:53 --> 00:04:54

Was that clearly absurd?

00:04:58 --> 00:05:00

And not only that, but these messages of

00:05:00 --> 00:05:02

prophets are sent as an exam as examples

00:05:02 --> 00:05:04

and embodiments of the message

00:05:04 --> 00:05:06

and as leaders and guides.

00:05:07 --> 00:05:09

As Allah mentions in the

00:05:09 --> 00:05:11

translation which is, and rarely we have set

00:05:11 --> 00:05:14

among every community and nation a message proclaiming,

00:05:15 --> 00:05:17

worship Allah, God alone,

00:05:17 --> 00:05:20

and avoid and keep away from false deities

00:05:21 --> 00:05:22

and all those things which are worshiped aside

00:05:22 --> 00:05:23

from him.

00:05:23 --> 00:05:25

Then of them were some of whom Allah

00:05:25 --> 00:05:28

guided and of them some upon whom the

00:05:29 --> 00:05:31

whom were misguided.

00:05:36 --> 00:05:37

Amongst

00:05:37 --> 00:05:40

Semitic peoples and amongst the Jews and Christians,

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41

there's an acknowledgement

00:05:42 --> 00:05:43

that there are that there are a number

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45

of can be a number of scriptures,

00:05:46 --> 00:05:48

such as the Torah,

00:05:49 --> 00:05:51

the gospel, the zaghur, the Psalms,

00:05:52 --> 00:05:54

and the Muslims accept the Quran. And,

00:05:57 --> 00:05:59

again, the Quran mentions that it is he,

00:05:59 --> 00:06:00

Allah, who has sent down the book, the

00:06:00 --> 00:06:01

Quran,

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05

to you, to the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi

00:06:05 --> 00:06:08

wasallam confirming what came before it and he

00:06:08 --> 00:06:10

sent down the the the Torah and he

00:06:10 --> 00:06:11

sent down the gospel.

00:06:16 --> 00:06:19

And also, and to David, we gave the

00:06:19 --> 00:06:19

Psalms.

00:06:22 --> 00:06:23

So going back to the early verse where

00:06:23 --> 00:06:25

it says that Allah sent a prophet to

00:06:25 --> 00:06:28

every nation. This is indeed fair and just.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:29

That every single peoples

00:06:30 --> 00:06:32

that have lived throughout time,

00:06:33 --> 00:06:36

those groups of people have received a messenger

00:06:37 --> 00:06:38

to remind them

00:06:39 --> 00:06:41

of their duty towards their lord,

00:06:43 --> 00:06:44

And to give them their purpose and to

00:06:44 --> 00:06:46

give them rules and laws of regulation by

00:06:46 --> 00:06:48

which to judge their lives and to

00:06:49 --> 00:06:49

deal with

00:06:50 --> 00:06:50

their

00:06:51 --> 00:06:52

relationship between themselves.

00:06:55 --> 00:06:56

And there are some whom Allah has told

00:06:56 --> 00:06:58

us about and some which he hasn't told

00:06:58 --> 00:06:58

us about.

00:07:00 --> 00:07:01

And even the prophet

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04

was not aware of the names of all

00:07:04 --> 00:07:07

the messengers and prophets that have come throughout

00:07:07 --> 00:07:08

time.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11

Some hadith say that there are about 224,000

00:07:12 --> 00:07:14

with maybe about 300 odd books that were

00:07:14 --> 00:07:15

sent,

00:07:16 --> 00:07:17

and and

00:07:18 --> 00:07:20

of those, only 25 are mentioned in the

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22

Quran. A lot of them are the ones

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24

which are known by the people of the

00:07:24 --> 00:07:25

book, people of scripture.

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29

And is obligatory to believe in all the

00:07:29 --> 00:07:31

books which Allah has revealed, of course, and

00:07:31 --> 00:07:32

all the prophets and messengers

00:07:33 --> 00:07:34

whom he has sent.

00:07:39 --> 00:07:41

But also, we need to understand that the

00:07:41 --> 00:07:44

messengers also tell us the consequence of our

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46

actions and how justice will be administered in

00:07:46 --> 00:07:46

the hereafter.

00:07:47 --> 00:07:49

So not just about justice being established on

00:07:49 --> 00:07:51

this Earth, but also in the hereafter, and

00:07:51 --> 00:07:52

how it will be done and what basis

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53

will be done.

00:07:53 --> 00:07:56

Because all of human beings, no matter where

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58

they are, where they come from, which time

00:07:58 --> 00:08:01

or era they come from, they all value

00:08:01 --> 00:08:01

justice.

00:08:04 --> 00:08:05

Even a child

00:08:05 --> 00:08:07

is hardwired to accept justice

00:08:08 --> 00:08:09

or to expect justice.

00:08:09 --> 00:08:11

If any of you have nieces or nephews,

00:08:12 --> 00:08:14

you'll know that if they bump into something

00:08:14 --> 00:08:16

inanimate and you hit that thing,

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19

then the child, even if it's crying, will

00:08:19 --> 00:08:21

feel that some justice has been done. And

00:08:21 --> 00:08:22

this is very important.

00:08:23 --> 00:08:25

It's very important that human beings all appreciate

00:08:25 --> 00:08:25

justice.

00:08:27 --> 00:08:29

Don't take a lot to prove that. So

00:08:29 --> 00:08:30

it only makes

00:08:31 --> 00:08:33

sense that this is, again, part of

00:08:34 --> 00:08:35

the human being's consciousness,

00:08:36 --> 00:08:38

And that's what what is called,

00:08:39 --> 00:08:41

the natural inclination that they want to see

00:08:41 --> 00:08:41

justice.

00:08:42 --> 00:08:44

And that justice, who's gonna come from? The

00:08:44 --> 00:08:46

most just, which is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:08:49 --> 00:08:51

Now the Quran is the greatest and the

00:08:51 --> 00:08:52

last of all revelation,

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55

and it aggregates the books that came before

00:08:55 --> 00:08:57

it as well as confirming it, and it

00:08:57 --> 00:08:59

is a witness over all the other books.

00:09:01 --> 00:09:02

So that is the task that we human

00:09:02 --> 00:09:05

beings must follow now. We have to follow

00:09:05 --> 00:09:06

the message of the Quran.

00:09:23 --> 00:09:26

And as we are now in the era

00:09:26 --> 00:09:29

of the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

00:09:31 --> 00:09:32

then again,

00:09:33 --> 00:09:34

it made sense for us to focus on

00:09:34 --> 00:09:35

him

00:09:35 --> 00:09:38

as as the prophet messenger because he is

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41

the prophet and messenger for this era now

00:09:41 --> 00:09:43

to all peoples and to for the rest

00:09:43 --> 00:09:44

of

00:09:45 --> 00:09:46

till the day of judgement.

00:09:49 --> 00:09:51

And he was given a specific task

00:09:52 --> 00:09:54

to convey the to be the messenger for

00:09:54 --> 00:09:55

all peoples,

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57

whereas other prophets

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00

and messengers were sent to their people primarily.
