My dear brothers and sisters, a few weeks
ago I was giving khutbah in a masjid,
and I was celebrating the fall of a
tyrant of Bangladesh.
Someone who thought that she will be in
the ruling forever.
And alhamdulillah rabbil alameen, our brothers and sisters
in Isham, they're celebrating the fall of yet
another tyrant.
Kabirullah, ikhwani.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
I always talk about Fir'aun, because there
is a reason why Allah mentions Fir'aun
in Qur'an, in almost every surah you'll
find Fir'aun.
So many surahs.
Musa and Fir'aun.
Fir'aun and Musa.
The magicians of Fir'aun, and the followers
of Musa.
And I've always asked myself this question.
Why?
Because brothers and sisters, Fir'aun is an
idea.
I want you to remember this very well.
And I'll repeat this at the end of
the khutbah inshaAllah, because this is the message
that I want everyone to walk away with.
Fir'aun is not a person.
Fir'aun is an idea.
I can be Fir'aun.
You can be Fir'aun.
Anyone can be Fir'aun.
Right?
Brothers and sisters, when we talk about zulm
and oppression, the first figure that comes to
our mind is Fir'aun.
But wallahi, wa billahi, uqsimu billah, that when
we saw what Bashar al-Assad did in
Syria, we realized that Fir'aun is like
miskeen compared to him.
Wallahi.
The footage that came out of Sidnaya prison,
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
If you have not heard, if you have
not watched, please, for the sake of your
mental health, please do not.
We can summarize what is happening.
Brothers and sisters, there was a famous statement
for the zabaniyah and the shabihah.
The Syrian brothers will understand this term.
The shabihah of Bashar, they will always say,
Your lord will
fall, but Bashar will never fall.
Wallahi, I say, astaghfirullah, but they said it.
They said it.
It was very common.
Your lord?
Huh?
Where is your lord now?
Where is your lord?
Where is Allah?
Why He is leaving all of these people
under the ground?
Over 100,000 people.
What did they do?
To be in jail and to be in
prison for years.
Where is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala?
Well, matter of fact, we're the ones who
ask this question, not even the people under
the ground.
The people under the ground, when they come
out of jail, when they come out of
prison, the first thing that they do, they
make sajda to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
They make sajda to Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
They don't ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
why?
They don't ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
why He did this to me and why
me?
They don't say that.
That's us.
Because our iman, unfortunately, is weak.
We always question Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Although Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has given
us the Qur'an.
You have the Qur'an.
It is on the shelf.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has told you
what exactly happened in the past.
He told you what has happened in the
present.
And I promise, He will tell you what's
gonna happen in the future.
Everything is there in the Qur'an.
Right?
Why Allah are you allowing someone like Bashar
to exist to begin with?
Why?
Why you allow Fir'aun?
Yes, people suffered from Fir'aun.
Yet, you're sending another Fir'aun and more
tyrants and more Fir'aun.
Why?
What is the reason for that?
Listen to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, ikhwani.
In surat al-Imran, a beautiful surah.
I really encourage everyone to read surat al
-Imran.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
Don't
feel sorry.
Don't feel grief.
Don't be in grief.
Don't be sad.
And you have the upper hand.
If you're struggling,
if you're suffering, if you're in pain, they
are in pain as well.
Even the tyrants, they cannot sleep.
And look at
the days how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
alternate days between people.
The refugees are back to the country.
And the one who kicked them out of
the country, the one who made them refugees,
now is a refugee himself.
Say, Allahu Akbar.
If we don't celebrate this, why don't we
celebrate that?
Why don't we see the signs of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala?
Someone everywhere in the world, I promise, I
promise, you probably seen someone from Syria.
Anywhere in the world.
I went to Egypt and I felt, it
looked like subhanallah it was in second Syria.
The country, welcome.
Everywhere in the world, Syrian refugees.
One person, one tyrant, the Lord, made all
of these people refugees.
And now look at the Lord like a
coward.
Excuse me, excuse my language, but my blood
is boiling.
He ran away in the middle of the
night.
And now he's under the mercy of the
Russians.
Look what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
doing.
And then we still question Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala why?
Look
at the days, how Allah altered the days.
One day, like Fir'aun,
Did him, Fir'aun, you know what's very
interesting about the story of Fir'aun.
You know the whole
ruling of Egypt, the whole rule of Egypt
belongs to me.
Egypt belongs to me.
أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَى And he said, وَهَذِهِ الْأَنْهَامُ
Look at the rivers.
They run beneath me.
I am here.
Everything is below my shoes.
Excuse me.
What was the end of Fir'aun?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made him drown.
So the rivers are above Fir'aun and
under the rivers.
Look at
this.
This is in Qur'an.
This is not from me.
This is from...
Allah is mentioned in the Qur'an.
Allah
said in Qur'an.
Because Fir'aun, when he looked at the
sea, now you have very unusual event.
You have a sea that is parting.
It's never happened in the history before.
But because he's tyrant, he's arrogant.
That's the psychology of arrogance and tyrants.
They think that everything will go their way.
Everything will go their way.
You know, the sea is split.
It will continue.
It will continue splitting like this until I
pass.
Subhanallah.
But this is from...
Subhanallah.
What can I say?
And then...
So he sees an unusual event happening in
front of him.
A miracle.
He thought that this miracle is happening for
him as well.
But then when Fir'aun...
When he realized that everyone
around him...
No one is around him anymore.
Right?
Yeah?
And he's about to drown.
What did he say?
He's like saying...
He's taking shahadah.
Fir'aun is becoming Mawlana.
Wallahi.
He's becoming Mawlana because he has no other...
He said, you know what?
You know?
Fir'aun.
What about your kingdom?
What about your ruling?
What about you?
Nothing.
It's gone.
Right?
The same thing.
The coward of Syria.
The same thing.
In the middle of the night, they run.
And it's always going to be like this.
Brothers and sisters, why don't we read Qur
'an?
I know it hurts.
Nobody wants to see children like that.
Nobody wants to see children like that.
But let's continue.
I'm walking you through some verses from the
Qur'an that you hear from Hafiz Sajjad
every single Ramadan.
You hear from other Imams.
You hear all these ayat.
We recite these ayat.
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
And this is the days we're altering between
people.
And
so that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed
the true believers.
The true believers.
Look, I can stand in the minbar here
knowing that there is some sort of freedom
in the country and I can speak however
I want.
Alright?
But when the test comes to my doorstep,
this is when Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
will show everyone whether I was truthful or
not.
When the test comes to you, this is
how Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala filter you.
You were talking, you're a freedom fighter.
But then when it was the smallest test,
you're backing out.
I can't.
Well, that explains the scholars who were praising
the hamd, praising the glory of Bashar al
-Ali.
You're doing great.
You know, you're khayr to this ummah.
The rahmah is coming because of you.
Out of fear.
Don't think it's a test.
Don't ask Allah to test you.
It's not easy.
You might fail.
You might feel really, really bad.
Brothers and sisters, Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
So Allah can take martyrs from you.
Someone like brother Khalid, uncle Khalid, the soul
of the soul.
May Allah have mercy on him, Ya Rabb
al-'Alameen.
Allah accepts him as shuhada.
We've seen his story with his grandchild.
You've seen all of this.
You've heard Dr. Yasir talking, Imam Nadeem.
Everyone was talking about this.
But listen, listen.
Someone like this, and I know Dr. Yasir
posted like a short clip about him, right?
The interview.
Someone like this in Gaza.
He is in Gaza.
Not knowing whether he'll have the next meal
or not.
Whether he's gonna be alive or not.
He is standing, and he is giving nasiha,
he is giving advice to 30,000 Muslims
in Ikna Convention, who will be going after
the convention, staying in a five-star hotel,
having meals in Open Buffet.
He is standing in Gaza, and he's telling
them, be connected to Allah.
Stick to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And we're the ones who question Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
How is that possible?
How is that possible?
This is one of the biggest reasons our
youngsters are leaving the deen.
Where is the mercy of Allah from what's
happening in Syria, and happening in Gaza, and
all of that?
Where is the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala?
Learn the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala from someone like Ruhoor, the soul of
the soul.
Learn from that.
That's the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala from the prisoners.
That's the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
Brothers and sisters, do you think that Jannah
is for everyone?
Jannah is not for everyone.
Jannah is the commodity of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
It's very precious.
It's not for everyone.
Even if we make it, may Allah make
us from the people of Jannah.
Jannah has levels.
There is a level for VIPs.
These are the VIPs.
These are the VIPs.
These people.
Because Allah tested them.
He says in Quran,
If there is no test,
anyone can claim anything.
Just like the exam, the test in dunya.
You can claim that you study 24x7.
But who is going to show whether you
study or not?
It's the test.
When they give you the questions, answer the
questions and tell us, and show us whether
you studied or not.
Make sense?
That's the test.
So brothers and sisters, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala puts people through these difficulties because He
want to filter us.
This is His ikhma, this is His wisdom
to filter who is the true believer and
who is not.
From the very beginning, we've seen Bilal ibn
Rabah and we heard his story.
Bilal ibn Rabah was screaming out of pain.
He was not trying to say,
because he wanted to satisfy Rasulullah or he
wanted to defend the deen of Allah.
The deen of Allah did not need someone
to defend it.
But Bilal ibn Rabah was screaming out of,
you know, oppression and injustice.
He's saying, أَحَدٌ أَحَدٌ Why are you enslaving
me?
Why are you doing that to me?
That's how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala filters
and selects and chooses brothers and sisters.
What has been happening there was injustice, was
unfair.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala never forgot
this.
shaitan is playing with your emotions in your
mind, telling you, where is Allah from all
of this?
Allah is talking to you in the Quran.
Do you think that Allah is not
aware of what Bashar was doing?
He is fully aware of that.
He knows what is going on.
Allah, look now, they're getting support from everywhere
to destroy our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
Everywhere is not just for United States, it's
also Europe.
Europe also supporting.
The whole world is supporting.
Ya Allah, why are you giving them more?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
We're giving them more because
the punishment is going to be more.
The punishment and the عَدْلِ, the justice of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will be even
more severe.
That's the hikmah of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
This is the court of dunya, brothers and
sisters.
Anyone can get away with their crimes in
the court of dunya, but in the court
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala nobody will
run away.
There is no
zulm, there is no oppression, there is no
injustice.
There is no injustice today, brothers and sisters.
When you hear a mother who was just
released from prison in Syria, and again I'll
try to be as gentle as possible because
we have younger sisters, we have brothers and
sisters here.
When she says, they wanted to abuse, sexually
abuse my daughter in front of me, in
the prison.
And I want you to picture that if
you have daughters, if you have a spouse,
think this, just picture this in your mind.
I ripped my clothes off and I told
them, leave my daughter alone and do this
to me.
You know what they did?
The ones who said, your Lord will fall,
but Bashar will never fall.
They also abused the mother in front of
the father.
The daughter and the mother in front of
the father.
When the father saw that, he immediately died.
Look at this.
Zulm.
Look at this.
Look at that.
And then some people, you know the question,
the hikmah of the wisdom of Allah creating
Jahannam.
Why?
Ar-Rahman ar-Rahim creating Jahannam and speaking
about Jahannam like that.
Sheikh, please, please.
We have youngsters.
Don't speak about Jahannam, please.
Just speak about the mercy.
Just speak about Jannah.
Give them pink color.
Just Jannah.
Well, for that father who saw his wife
and his daughter being abused in front of
his eyes that he died.
Do you think, do you think on the
Day of Judgment he will accept with any
revenge accepting Jahannam for those who did this
to his family?
Did you see why Jahannam is mercy?
It's mercy to the oppressed.
Yes.
Because I'm gonna die if I don't hear
that Allah SWT will bring my haqq back
in the Akhirah.
I'm gonna die.
It's a rahmah from Allah SWT.
It was
created for these people.
It was created for them, brothers and sisters.
If your heart is soft, if you have
rahmah in your heart, say Alhamdulillah.
That's a blessing.
It's a ni'mah from Allah SWT.
But those people do not have hearts.
They belong to Jahannam.
They do belong to Jahannam.
And so many stories of people who lost
their minds.
And I want to picture this.
Again, I'm not trying to be dramatic.
But again, my main point is like let's
celebrate.
Let's say Alhamdulillah.
Kabirullah again.
Say Alhamdulillah that this dhulm has ended.
If there is no benefit for what happened
in Syria except this poor people, innocent people
left to prison.
If there is no benefit except to that,
that's khayr, that's enough.
Wallahi.
The imprisoned women, when you see the sisters
and the videos are right there, they're opening
the cell, the door.
And they're saying, leave, let's go.
Go where?
They're sitting in the corners.
They don't even trust what is happening, what
is going on, because they don't know.
They don't know.
They don't know what's happening.
They say, Bashar has fallen.
He has fallen.
The tyrant has fallen.
Who?
They don't know what's going on.
Once they start saying, where should I go?
Where should I go?
Where should I go?
Where are you taking me?
Right?
You're imprisoning women.
Coward.
Coward is that.
Imprisoning women and doing this to them in
prison.
Why?
Why?
Right?
And innocent people.
Did you see the sister who heard about
her brother being alive?
After 14 years, 12 years, she thought he
was dead.
And then all of a sudden, hello, that's
your brother on the phone.
Allahu Akbar.
Look at this dhulm and this oppression.
So brothers and sisters, when you hear about
Fir'aun and how Allah SWT is showing
them as signs and reminders to all of
us, we say, Alhamdulillah.
And one message I want to share with
you from the videos that, just a little
bit of videos that we watched.
I want you to imagine the prisoners who've
been there for years.
I want you to picture this in your
mind.
Someone tells you that you're going to stay
in a room, dark, nothing, no bathroom, nothing.
It's not even for animals.
You don't know how long you're going to
be staying there.
And there is no cell phone with you,
no book, no Qur'an.
You cannot even pray.
Wallahi, I heard somebody saying, we couldn't even
pray because they have the cameras.
If they watch you, if they watch, and
you know who was actually being punished the
most?
It's the prisoners of Salatul Fajr.
They would know.
You wake up for Salatul Fajr, there is
something about you.
Alright?
There's Fajr about you.
It says like, I try to use a
little bit of water, but then I try
to kind of dry it.
I don't want to be punished like that.
They said, we prayed with our eyes.
With our eyes.
And when we allowed us to pray standing,
it was like the victory.
There was Yawm al-Nasr for us.
And yashhadullah, that we have this beautiful masjid,
a beautiful structure.
And beyond Salatul Jum'ah, you will find
a few lines.
Where some people, and we're the ones who
still question Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, saying,
Ya Allah, why are you being like this?
Why are you treating them like that?
Subhanallah.
We learn the deen from them, brothers and
sisters.
Firaun is an idea.
I said that in the beginning and I
conclude with this.
When we think of Firaun, we think of
entities.
We think of rulers.
We think of kings, presidents.
But us individuals can be Firaun.
Wallahi.
Can be Firaun.
You can be Firaun with your wife, with
your husband, with your children, with your parents.
You can be Firaun.
You can oppress them.
You can oppress your wife.
You can destroy her life.
You can cheat on her.
You can destroy your husband.
You can take the money of your husband.
You can deprive your husband from seeing his
children.
That's Firaun right there.
You can do injustice to your parents.
You can do injustice to your children.
Brothers and sisters, don't be Firaun.
Because those Firauns, the big ones, Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala has shown us signs.
Make sure you're not one of them.
We're gonna live this dunya, brothers and sisters.
Lighten your burden and your luggage.
Go light.
Just go with good amal salih.
That's it.
Good deeds from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Because you're gonna live the dunya.
Wallahi.
You're gonna live this dunya the way you
came.
We came naked.
We go back to Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala naked.
And the shroud does not have pocket.
If you have taken the inheritance of your
sister, give it back to her before you
meet Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
If you've taken the inheritance of the orphans,
give it back.
Your nephews, your cousin, your wife, your husband,
give it back.
There's no time.
There's no time.
There's no time, brothers and sisters.
Don't be Firaun.
We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to
bring justice to the people of Syria, Ya
Rabb al-Alamin, to the people of Sham.
Ya Allah, You know that Your messenger and
Your beloved Prophet ﷺ loved the land of
Sham.
Ya Allah, bring peace into the land of
Sham, Ya Rabb al-Alamin.
Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim, make this the beginning
of al-Nasr, Ya Rabb, and the liberation
of al-Masjid al-Aqsa, Ya Rabb al
-Alamin.
Ya Allah, be with our brothers and sisters
in Gaza, Ya Rabb al-Alamin.
Ya Allah, be with our brothers and sisters
in Gaza, Ya Rabb al-Alamin.
Allahumma alayka bi-fir'auna wa-haamana wa
-qaaruna fi kulli waqtin wa-heen, Ya Rabb
al-alameen.
Allahumma arhamna wa-akhrijna min hadhihi dunyati bi

Allahumma ja'alna min ahl al-jannah.
Allahumma ja'alna min ahl al-jannah.
Allahumma ja'alna min ahl al-jannah.
Na'udhu bika min al-naar.
Na'udhu bika min al-naar.
Na'udhu bika an-narka inna lilladhina dhalamu,
Ya Rabb al-alameen.
Allahumma ameen.
Wa aqim al-salat.
Allah is the Greatest.
Allah is the Greatest.
I bear witness that there is no god
but Allah.
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger
of Allah.
Come to prayer.
Come to success.
Come to prayer.
Come to success.
Allah is the Greatest.
Allah is the Greatest.
There is no god but Allah.
