In the
name of Allah,
the Most
Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the
Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
And when the Surah is revealed, some of
them look at others, saying, Does anyone of
you see?
Then Allah turns their hearts away, because they
are a people who do not understand.
There has come to you a Messenger from
among yourselves, exalted above all that you have
done, eager to help you, to the believers,
kind and merciful.
So if they turn away, say, Allah is
sufficient for me, there is no god but
He.
I have put my trust in Him, and
He is the Lord of the Great Throne.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,
the Most Compassionate.
The disbelievers say, This is a clear magician.
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the
heavens and the earth in six days, then
settled on the Throne.
He arranges the matter.
There is no intercessor except after His permission.
That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him,
or do you not remember?
To Him is your return, all of you.
The promise of Allah is true.
Indeed, He begins creation, then repeats it, to
reward those who believe and do righteous deeds
with justice.
And those who disbelieve, for them is a
drink of boiling water and a painful punishment
for what they used to disbelieve.
He is the One who made the sun
a light, and the moon a light, and
He has determined for it stages, so that
you may know the number of years and
the reckoning.
He arranges the matter.
He explains the signs for a people who
know.
Indeed, in the alternation of the night and
the day, and what Allah has created in
the heavens and the earth, are signs for
a people who are righteous.
Indeed, those who hope to meet Us and
are pleased with the life of this world
and are assured of it, and those who
are heedless of Our signs, for them is
their abode is the Fire, for what they
used to earn.
ALLAH IS THE GREATEST Indeed,
those who believe and do righteous deeds, their
Lord guides them by their faith.
Rivers flow beneath them in the Gardens of
Bliss.
Their call therein is, Glory be to You,
O Allah, and their greeting therein is, Peace.
And their last call is, Praise be to
Allah, Lord of the worlds.
And if Allah were to hasten the evil
for the people, He would have hastened for
them the good, and their term would have
been decreed for them.
So leave those who do not hope to
meet Us.
In their transgression they are blind.
And when harm touches man, he calls to
his side, or sits down, or stands up.
But when We remove his harm from him,
he passes away as if he had not
called us to harm that touched him.
Thus was made beautiful for the transgressors what
they used to do.
And We destroyed the generations before you when
they transgressed, and their messengers came to them
with clear proofs, but they did not believe.
Thus do We recompense the guilty people.
Then We made you successors after them, that
We might see how you would act.
Allah is the Greatest, Allah is
the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest,
Allah is
the Greatest.
As-salamu
alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
By the Grace of Allah, we have just
finished Surah At-Tawbah and started Surah Yunus.
In these two beautiful surahs, one of the
ayat that I recited in the beginning was,
Allah says, Be mindful of
Allah and be with the truthful one.
Throughout the whole entire surah, Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala has been telling us about the
qualities of al-munafiqeen, from the beginning of
the surah till the end of the surah.
So in the middle, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala is telling us, be truthful, be truthful
to yourself, be truthful to people, and be
truthful to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Why?
Because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala can see your heart, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala knows what you have
in your mind, what you think, and which
group are you following, right?
And especially nowadays, you really need to be
ma'as sadiqeen, you need to understand which
group, which side are you taking exactly, right?
Is it the side of the enemies, or
the side of al-munafiqeen, or the side
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, The quality
of being truthful is one of the most
important qualities in Islam.
That's why out of all the qualities and
traits, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chose that
quality for Rasulullah ﷺ, that khuluq.
The honest, the trustworthy, right?
So sifat al-sidq, this is a very
essential sifah and quality and the trait for
the believers.
Ibrahim ﷺ asked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
and said, And the Prophet ﷺ said, So
you seek, you are truthful and you continue
to seek truthfulness until Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala writes you down amongst al-sadiqeen.
So in everything that you do in your
life, try to always check your heart and
see if you're sadiq with your nafs, are
you sadiq with people, are you sadiq with
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, or are you
just doing something for the sake of people
and for the sake, you know, and thinking
that you're doing the right thing, but in
haqiqah, in reality, you are not doing this,
right?
So that's the first ayah.
It's a direct command from Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala to be mindful of him and
to be truthful.
The last ayah in this surah about the
Prophet ﷺ, It's a beautiful
ayah where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells
us that a messenger from amongst you, He's
from us, he's from our lineage, he's a
human being, right?
So he's anxious whenever you're injured, whenever, that's
one of the tarjama, whenever you're struggling with
something, that the Prophet ﷺ would care for
you.
The Prophet ﷺ, when you're facing difficulty, he
would always feel sad and, you know, he
feels that for his companions and for the
believers in general.
And he genuinely cares for you, right?
He wants to make sure that you follow
the path of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
until you exit this dunya and you are
safe.
Until you go to Jannah, inshallah, right?
That's why the Prophet ﷺ, if a janazah
for a non-believer or a non-Muslim
passed by the Prophet ﷺ, would really feel
upset and sad.
Why?
Because he was not able to save a
human from Jahannam.
And subhanallah, when someone accepts Islam, the Prophet
ﷺ would always be happy because he was
able to save someone from Jahannam.
He cares for you.
Everything that he says to you, he asks
you to do, it's for your own benefit,
for your own interest.
He's so merciful, so kind to the believers,
right?
So when you think the Sunnah of the
Prophet ﷺ is difficult to follow in the
path and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
is difficult and to make our lives, subhanallah,
difficult, that is not true at all.
It's not true, right?
The Prophet ﷺ cares for us.
He tells us what is best and what
is good for us.
So, ikhwan and ikhwati, today, inshallah, let's follow
some of the Sunnah as much as we
can, inshallah, some of the Sunnah of Rasulullah
ﷺ.
Then, inshallah, later on, we're going to reflect
on Surah Yunus, inshallah, because it's a beautiful
surah and it has a lot of mawa
'iz, a lot of reminders for all of
us.
I ask Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, to
accept our amal, ya rabbal alameen, and to
make us from those who recite Qur'an
and implement Qur'an in their lives.
Allahumma ameen.
I say this and ask Allah's forgiveness for
me and for you.
May Allah reward you well.
May Allah bless you.
Inshallah, we'll be up at 8.15 p
.m., inshallah, we'll be up at 8.15
p.m., inshallah.
May Allah bless you.
