I
00:00:21 -->
00:00:21
was
00:00:22 -->
00:00:26
carrying along my journey to becoming a millionaire
00:00:33 -->
00:00:34
or BSc while I was
00:00:35 -->
00:00:36
studying
00:00:41 -->
00:00:46
my dear brothers and sisters in Islam Salama, alikum warahmatu Allahi wa barakaatuh.
00:00:48 -->
00:01:01
All praises belong to Allah subhanho wa Taala we praise Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah and we seek
Allah subhanho wa Taala as assistance and we seek His guidance to Paraguay
00:01:03 -->
00:01:28
and we seek refuge in Allah subhanho wa Taala from the evils of our souls and the adverse
consequences of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah subhanho wa Taala decrees guidance upon the man can
misguide that person and will serve Allah subhanho wa Taala decrease misguidance upon the man can
guide him, and peace and salutations be upon the final messenger Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam
00:01:30 -->
00:01:34
by dear brothers and sisters, it's always exciting.
00:01:35 -->
00:02:18
Coming down to the southwest to see you all. I was just telling our brothers here that there's
definitely some new faces, I suppose that's the norm with this particular city, which I thought was
a town for some reason. And Marsha, like it's always exciting. And it's good to see the progress and
indeed days progress, no doubt. I recall vividly my trip here last year, which I was informed as I
told you at the jumar was exactly one year ago. So Pamela, and I actually came in all the way from
another small place, but it's called the town platform up north and we drove all the way I remember
the brothers came to pick me up and we drove all the way in one night down to this part of the
00:02:18 -->
00:03:01
world. I didn't know this island was so big, even though you know, we spent the initial years of our
life here in the UK. But it was a short trip the last time I did the Juma and I talk and had several
meetings with some of the brothers in this particular community. And it was with the ideology of
encouraging change, and attempt to be led. That change has happened and I'm sure many of you have
seen it. And I was delighted to get a follow up invite for this particular year. And for this
particular event called making our mark which is a series of one or four talks beginning with our
talk today. From the outset I express my gratitude to Allah subhanho wa Taala For indeed it is with
00:03:01 -->
00:03:17
Allah subhana wa attalus blessing that programs like this come about when Allah subhanho wa Taala
wants to reward his slaves he inspires them to do those acts that are worthy of rewards, this is the
reality
00:03:18 -->
00:03:22
and that is why as we said the Jumeirah al hamdu lillahi Heiden and he had
00:03:24 -->
00:03:58
the Alolan had Allah, we praise Allah subhanho wa Taala in every circumstance for all the goodness
that comes to us is from or because of the blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala policies, not from
ourselves when we leave our homes, and we see a poor person begging and we choose to put our hand in
our pocket and share something with this poor person. It's not because you entirely wanted to do
something rather it was because you were inspired to do something
00:03:59 -->
00:04:19
you were inspired to do so on that day when you shed some of the wealth which Allah subhanho wa
Taala blessed you with. It was because Allah subhana wa Taala inspired you to do so because Allah
subhanho wa Taala wanted to make your agenda more beautiful for you, and wanted to give you more
rewards. So you are inspired to do those good deeds.
00:04:20 -->
00:04:43
And to understand this point, think about how many times you passed an impoverished person but did
not share some of your wealth with him, or how many times you wanted to give charity but that poor
person who normally is there was not there on that particular day Subhanallah you have the money you
wanted to but on that day that person wasn't there.
00:04:44 -->
00:04:55
So Pamela, so well think about how easy it is to observe the cup, but how many of us actually
observed it doesn't cost us anything to remember Allah subhanho wa Taala
00:04:57 -->
00:04:59
but how many of us engage in it sometimes we find ourselves
00:05:00 -->
00:05:48
When having a particular tune, instead of remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala was the many taught to
us by Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So it's about it's about guidance from Allah Subhana
Allah to Allah. And Allah subhanho wa Taala inspires and guides at this gathering is from all of
them. We ask Allah Subhana Allah, to make this gathering, one which is beloved to him, one which is
forgiven upon its departure, and a gathering that is gathered together many, many times in this
world, as well as under the arch of Allah Subhana who I am ama and inshallah engender me. I also
want to express my gratitude to idea investment, Mashallah Islamic development to encourage action,
00:05:49 -->
00:06:10
investment, it's not a financial company. It's a reality, right? And we shared this last year with
each other that our life in this world is about investing and not about sacrificing we, we want to
shift our paradigms because whenever we give something for the sake of Allah subhanahu, Allah, Allah
subhanho wa Taala multiplies it for us. Right? for you. And for hula, hula.
00:06:12 -->
00:06:27
hula, hula damasus multiple multiplied Allah doesn't need us need our assistance or wealth or
worship Allah doesn't become majestic because we observe sujood and he doesn't lose his majesty, if
we refrain from observing sujood He is Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah,
00:06:29 -->
00:06:30
Allah, Allah
00:06:31 -->
00:06:34
Subhana subhanho wa Taala whether we worship people we don't he is.
00:06:36 -->
00:07:05
With all His Majesty, he is with all his majesty. But Allah subhanho wa Taala when we share
something of our resources, our time and our wealth, for his sake, he multiplies it for us. So it's
always an investment, it's always an investment inshallah, we'll talk more about that. So gratitude
to our brothers from idea for the invite them to you all, for your attendance, and inshallah for
lending your attentive ear
00:07:07 -->
00:07:12
before moving on, and this is a normal for my talks. And it's important because
00:07:13 -->
00:07:54
we will not send except to worship when Allah subhanho wa Taala. It is always important that we
remind each other towards the purification of our intentions, that we're not here for entertainment.
nor are we here to spend our Friday evening because there's nothing better to do. Yes, this is
noble, that we've come out of our homes to listen to some things from the inheritance left behind by
Muhammad Abdullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But the essence behind everything we do, every single
thing should be the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. The leaving of our home should be for the sake
of Allah subhanho wa Taala everything else that comes about
00:07:56 -->
00:08:22
is a byproduct of the purpose of us being here. So we ns should be pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala
worshipping one Allah and intending one Allah and the means to that for a gathering such as ours
would be through education, or through a particular lecture or seminar. That would be the means it's
a means to an end. Learning is not the end in and of itself. It's a means to an end, a more noble
and what is that end
00:08:23 -->
00:08:24
to hate?
00:08:25 -->
00:09:14
And the unity of Allah subhanho wa Taala and purity of our intentions that nothing we do is done
except for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So this purify our intention so that we gain maximum
from this great gathering that Allah subhanho wa Taala has prepared for us are servants of Allah,
Allah Children of Adam, the topic for today is a lofty one. I'm not sure if it's up here somewhere,
but the first topic of the series is titled The vision and having a vision. And indeed this is a
very lofty topic. And inshallah I pray that during the course of our discussion, we'll understand
how lofty this topic is. But this topic cannot be appreciated, unless we traverse together, taking
00:09:14 -->
00:09:20
an introduction, taking an introduction and the introduction that I want to share with you is as
follows.
00:09:21 -->
00:09:27
Allah subhanho wa Taala created us and everything in existence.
00:09:29 -->
00:09:37
And Allah subhanho wa Taala was the creator before he created Allah subhanho wa Taala did not need
to create to hold the title of creator
00:09:39 -->
00:09:40
to panda who attended.
00:09:41 -->
00:09:59
And as as the creation happened without doubt based on a purpose, and reason and wisdom. And this
has to be a fact that we fathom and comprehend. This is because it's common sense. Today, anybody
who does something without a reason
00:10:00 -->
00:10:06
We rebuke that person. He's not somebody considered praiseworthy a mistress, is that not so?
00:10:08 -->
00:10:08
Right or wrong?
00:10:09 -->
00:10:19
Right? So, Allah subhanho wa Taala only does that which is praiseworthy. So us being here and
existing,
00:10:21 -->
00:10:36
and being creative, Allah subhanho wa Taala definitely has a purpose and reason behind this
actuality and reality behind this actuality and reality, nobody gets into the vehicle in the morning
except for a reason.
00:10:37 -->
00:10:38
Nobody
00:10:39 -->
00:10:45
has breakfast or lunch or dinner every day except for a reason.
00:10:47 -->
00:10:55
It's not an end in and of itself. There's a reason behind doing it. Right? Nobody fasts, the month
of Ramadan, and we just covered the month of Ramadan.
00:10:57 -->
00:10:58
Except for reason.
00:11:00 -->
00:11:05
Nobody came to this talk today, except that there was a reason behind them coming.
00:11:06 -->
00:11:21
If you just came for the sake of it, you would be rebuked, there has to be a reason behind us coming
here, everything we do has a reason. And if that is the reality with us, then it's even more so with
that which Allah subhanho wa Taala does.
00:11:23 -->
00:12:03
This concept of a purpose existing behind everything is a sooner from the sooner Allah subhanho
attack. This This concept is an established way from the laws of Allah subhanho wa Taala. We know
that we have universal laws, in terms of life, and gravity, and so on and so forth, that the
scientist explained to us as they explore the creation of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And just as those
laws exist on the creative level, Allah subhanho wa Taala has settled established laws, they are the
laws of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
00:12:04 -->
00:12:16
This concept of a purpose existing behind everything that is done is from the established laws of
Allah subhanho wa Taala. And as Allah subhanho wa Taala says, When I tell you that is that Allah He
00:12:17 -->
00:12:19
will tell you the reason that
00:12:20 -->
00:12:30
you will not find change to these laws, or a substitution to these laws, these are laws that are
established and will stay.
00:12:32 -->
00:12:50
My dear brothers and sisters, my dear mothers and fathers today when we look at the world around us,
and we see the difficulties, right about mentioning this to bring us into reactionary modes, or to
speak about it from a negative standing,
00:12:51 -->
00:13:05
are speaking about it as a fact. When we look at the world at large, especially in the last few
months, and perhaps the last decade, or perhaps a little bit longer. There's no doubt that we see
00:13:06 -->
00:13:12
Islam being targeted, in almost every arena. It's being targeted.
00:13:13 -->
00:13:13
And
00:13:16 -->
00:13:26
when we sort of delve into these matters and contemplate over it, there's no doubt that it has an
effect on us because we are part of a global community.
00:13:27 -->
00:13:34
Islam is not a concept of me, myself and I, we are one family. So there is no doubt that we feel
this concern.
00:13:36 -->
00:13:40
But what do we have to understand brothers and sisters, is that
00:13:43 -->
00:13:48
we should never forget that Allah subhanho wa Taala is upon all evil.
00:13:49 -->
00:14:01
And this is a fact. Allah subhanho wa Taala can cause Islam to cover the globe in just one
statement. And that is could and be and it will happen.
00:14:02 -->
00:14:08
But Allah has chosen not to give this instruction and cause Islam to cover the globe in this way.
00:14:09 -->
00:14:13
The ease of the sufferings that we find now can happen in one instance.
00:14:14 -->
00:14:22
Don't think for a moment Allah subhana wa tada is underway. And don't think for a moment that Allah
subhanho wa Taala is not capable.
00:14:25 -->
00:14:30
We should never lose hope in Allah subhanho wa Taala for he is upon all Eva.
00:14:33 -->
00:14:37
But this breeds another question and remember Allah subhanho wa Taala says
00:14:39 -->
00:14:55
there's nothing that can impede the command of Allah subhanho wa Taala the instruction of Allah
subhanho wa Taala the command of Allah subhanho wa Taala is we shouldn't design nothing can impede
it. So it's not a case that things are happening with
00:14:56 -->
00:14:59
against the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala rather it is with the will of Allah
00:15:01 -->
00:15:01
What's
00:15:04 -->
00:15:23
better for you and me brothers and sisters, if we tread the track of following the tsunami, Mohammed
Salallahu, alayhi wasallam. And following the ways of the prophets that came before him, sallallahu
alayhi wasallam. And looking at his teachings and the noble inheritance that he left for us to learn
from.
00:15:24 -->
00:15:32
If we ponder over this, we see that these are not obstacles, rather the opportunities.
00:15:33 -->
00:16:03
These are obstacles rather the opportunities, they are opportunities to worship Allah subhanho wa
Taala in a way that others before us could not in a way that those who have not experienced what we
experiencing now could. This experience brings about a new way of worshipping Allah subhanho wa
Taala. So when we think about it this way, he's a hidden wisdoms. When you serve Allah, his Salah
was taken as a young boy
00:16:04 -->
00:16:33
from his father's home by his brothers, the most trustworthy to him, and thrown as a young boy into
the bottom of a well and left for that, when this happened to him. With us with our limited wisdom
at that point, we would have stood up and screamed negative injustice, a very bad thing. And yes, at
that moment in time, it was all those things. But when we fast forward the story
00:16:35 -->
00:17:12
4050 years plus, and now he's sitting as the minister in Egypt, and looking after the affairs during
the famine and drought, and not only of Egypt, he did it so well that even people in Palestine could
benefit from the food gathered and stored in Egypt during the years under the leadership of use of
Aileen Salah when we fast forward the story and look at that, and we say Hold on a second here, for
him to have attained this particular post. It had to have started with him being abducted from his
home and thrown into the wild. So paranoia.
00:17:13 -->
00:17:58
Because him being in the world at that time, was the reason why the caravan that was heading towards
Egypt found him and took him as a slave and sold him in Egypt. And it was at that time that the
Minister of Egypt was looking for a slave and his I could use rather he said with the permission of
Allah subhanho wa Taala and took this boy in and use Valley Salaam, living upon the proactive nature
of his father's upbringing. Learn the tools of the trade from this minister, as some of the scholars
of history say he took over his post lectures. So panela, right, and so on and so forth. And we tie
the events together until the king has a dream, and he's looking for someone to interpret this
00:17:58 -->
00:18:13
dream. And use have had to have been in the prison and interpreted the dream of one of the inmates
who went to work for the cake. For him to tell the king I know someone who can solve your dynamic
supanova Look how events tie
00:18:14 -->
00:18:30
one to the next. Right, the wisdom of Allah subhanho wa Taala is vast. The wisdom of Allah subhanho
wa Taala is vast. The essence behind all this brothers and sisters that I want to get to before I
move on into the call is the concept of action.
