			Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh My dearest brothers and sisters in Islam, some letter of
Manu Rahim hamdulillah salat wa salam ala rasulillah. The ayah I recited to you all is the ayah that
Allah subhanho wa Taala has inspired me to speak about this evening in our nightly Ramadan
reflections. In this particular I Allah subhanho wa Taala commands the believers commands yourself
and myself addresses the believers and commands them towards being concerned about themselves, being
concerned about them, and their proximity to the laws of Allah subhanho wa Taala concerned about
them, and how they are upon the mandate set by Allah and how far they are from those things that
		

			Allah subhanho wa Taala warned them to stay away from IE warned us to stay away from because Eliza
testing the believers as has been established. And then Allah subhanho wa Taala says, the efforts
and activities and practices and norms of the people of misguidance will not affect you so long as
you remain guided to kind of law brothers and sisters in Islam how in need are we have this
guidance, how indeed our we have this idea of this lesson, especially in this day and age of peer
pressure, especially in this day and age of the inferiority complex. We see this this complex,
spreading Allah subhanho wa Taala protect us. Everyone
		

			wants to be influenced it's as if they want to be influenced Why? Because they want to fit in.
		

			And we see this in some of the statements of the believers when you tell them this is wrong, they
say but everyone else does it. But everyone else does it. But all the other Muslims do it. But every
one in my neighborhood everyone in my city everyone in my school everyone at my workplace, they all
do it what is the problem? This is
		

			this is a fallacy brothers and sisters sinister, where you start judging halal and haram based on
what the people do based on what the Masters do. And then you start feeling like a fit or an unfit
based on what the people do, rather than using the Quran and the Sunnah as your yardstick for
understanding whether you are a fit or whether you are unfit. Right? The Quran and the Sunnah is the
yardstick not the activities of the people. In another area. Allah subhanho wa Taala says we're into
the experiment in our view, the Luke and Sabine Allah, that if you were to follow the majority of
the people on earth, they will cause you to become misguided they will cause you to stray off the
		

			path of Allah subhanho wa Taala La ilaha illa Allah brothers and sisters in Islam, right? What has
happened to us?
		

			That today when a lesson comes from a lion is Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam we say but and
but is a dangerous word to use. Yes, it's a word from the words of the English language, but in
context, but generally carries a connotation whereby you sort of disagree with everything before but
sometimes people say I agree but
		

			ABCD so you disagree basic, right? So you teach someone something from the Quran and as soon as he
but everyone's doing it, who said if everyone's doing it, it makes it a lot. Who said if the masses
are doing something wrong, then it becomes highlighted because right versus wrong is based on the
number of people that are doing it. This is a flawed policy. It's a flawed philosophy. It's a flawed
paradigm and this is giving as guidance with his brothers and sisters in Islam. be concerned about
yourself, Worry about yourself. Look at the Quran. Look at the Sunnah. Look how close you are to
injunctions Look how far away you are from its teachings and be concerned about that work on
		

			yourself. The yardstick for success and failure is the Quran and the Sunnah as the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said talk to fecal matter in Temasek to be lentil will do by the

with you two things. If you hold steadfast on to them both you will never ever go astray. These two

A lot of mystery in the Quran and Sunnah came to make us a people who are servants of Allah, not of
our desires. So yes, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I live with you
		

			Two things if you follow them both based on the understanding of the pious predecessors, based upon
the understanding of the Sahaba you will never ever go astray the Quran and the Sunnah. And Allah
subhanho wa Taala says in his book was Americana, meaning what am I mean? He is acaba, la hora Zulu

to the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala you know that but and looking at what the people are doing,
they go to the cinema, so, you know, they send their kids to the cinema, so why not? You know, you
know, they listen to this type of music. So you know, everyone's listening to it. So it's in the
supermarket, it's here, it's there. So, you know, they listen at home, there's no harm, you know,
		

			they dress like that. So, our kids dressed like that. If they can do it, then why can't we do it?
Brothers and sisters, we need to forget this mentality, right? I don't want to prolong this
particular presentation inshallah, the message is clear. The Quran and the Sunnah is the yardstick
for our success. And we need to be concerned about our proximity from the Quran and Sunnah and not
what the people are doing. That's number one. Number two, if you want to be a follower of the
Masters, then Allah tells you that if you follow the Masters, right, they will take you a stray off
the path of guidance and into the hellfire. Allah subhanho wa Taala protect us or Baraka, they'll
