To my dear his brothers and sisters in Islam, I greet you with the greetings of Islam Salaam salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu. And welcome to week three of our direct access sessions, a session between myself and you all, an open chat and open forum as the title of the series alludes to now First things first.

Excellent. Thank you. Amina and for him.
Shuja amnezia Thank you for letting me know as well as Instagram particle vehicle hafsa and
our dear brother from Australia. Mashallah. I see you. Thank you very much. I'm just waiting for
clearance from Facebook. All right. hamdulillah. They can hear me excellent. All right. So today's topic, as previously mentioned, brothers and sisters in Islam
is dedicated to the ledger,
the 12th month of the Islamic calendar.
The
or a month from the sacred months as well in Islam, and no doubt the month of Hajj. And the reason why this dedication is taking place is because the month of Google head Joe will begin in a few days time. All right for us in the Middle East. It will either begin on
on Monday night or on Tuesday night. Okay, most likely it will be Tuesday night.
And then depending on which part of the globe that you are on, you will obviously experience
This particular month, either on the same days, as I've mentioned, or some day before, or the day after, or a couple of days before, or a couple of days after most, most probably not a couple of days before, but it could be a couple of days after depending on how the sightings in your country took place with regards to the Hillel or the new moon of show while as well as the character.
But the point is, this beautiful, beautiful month is just a few days away. And this is a beautiful month. Like we also describe the Ramadan as a beautiful month for the reason brothers and sisters in Islam.
The reason being is that these two months are considered seasons of worship. We spoke about this before I move on, in our lessons in chabanne that Allah subhanho wa Taala he brings to us seasons of worship and the seasons of worship.
Give us the ability to gain forgiveness for our sins, bring to us the ability to
get closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala or kick start the process of really getting closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala it brings to us the ability to build our agenda in an amazing way as well.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala blesses us with Ramadan. And then Allah subhanho wa Taala blesses us with the sacred month, the sacred month after
the month of the Canada the month of
hedger and then also the month of Muharram, which is the first month of the new year. And from the pious before us, there were those who would say that we never revered 10s 10s like we revered 310s. All right, the last 10 of Ramadan, the first 10 of the hedger and the first 10 of the month of Mahara.
Right, and it's a mercy from Allah Subhana, who Allah that He brings to us from avant, towards the end of the year and then gives us the first 10 days of the hedger right at the end, because as we discussed, the Ramadan Allah subhanho wa Taala rewards us based on the strength of our ending.
Okay, so at hamdulillah we have the hedger as the last month, and it's a season of worship, but so many rewards as we will see building later Allah, which means we have a loss of power, who Allah gives us the ability to end the year that Islamic year on a very strong note. And then in a during the next year, the New Year, Allah gives us the ability to start the new year as well, on a very strong note, because the month of Muharram is a sacred month, and we have the days of Ashura and we know that the one who fasts the 10th of Muharram, then Allah subhanho wa Taala forgives one year worth of my innocence.
With regards to the first 10 of the hedger the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
taught us its importance and its virtues. And its auspiciousness its sanctified nature, in many generation and even in the Quran.
According to some of them have a serum those who explained the Quran such as best robiola, for whom and others, they mentioned that there's an ayah in the Quran, which really references the first 10 days of the hijab.
Now Allah subhanho wa Taala out of his mercy, as we said, he brings to us the seasons of worship towards the end of the year, but we also need to highlight that he brings to us heinola seasons of worship, which really are based on the fact that Allah subhanho wa Taala has given a level of importance and prominence a level of auspiciousness to parts of his creation over other parts. Okay.
And we, we understand this simply by looking at the month of Ramadan and comparing it to the rest of the months of the year, or looking at the last 10 nights of Ramadan compared in comparison to the rest of the nights of the year, or the first 10 days of the hedger in comparison to the rest of the days of the year.
Or the day of Joomla in comparison to the rest of the days of the week,
or the day of, of evil,
which many scholars have the views the best day of the year even better than they have out over. In comparison to the rest of the days of the first 10 days of the head, we see that Allah subhanho wa Taala he created the days but he raised in rank the first 10 days of the hedge over the rest of the days and then the 10th of the hedger over the rest of the days. of the
hedge
of the first 10 days of the hedge. So we have days raised above days in importance, and then a day raised above all these other days in importance. Same thing with Ramadan, Allah created the months of the year and then he gave a special importance to Ramadan and made it the best month number one received an honor that the other ones didn't receive.
The same applies to the days of the week we have
that the day of jumar, which Allah subhanho wa Taala gave a special rank and importance and verge over the rest of the days of the week. So Allah created the days of the week. But Allah gave a special importance to the day of Juma that the other days of the week didn't get a lot gave a special importance to the, to the last 10 nights of Ramadan, which the rest of the Nights of The Year didn't get. And then he gave a special importance to Layla to further the night of virtue and decree and power, which is the rest of them of the 10 nights of Ramadan didn't get. Right. So what do we understand from this brothers and sisters in Islam we understand from this, that or as Allah
says, Allah who blew me away after Allah subhanho wa Taala. He creates what he wants.
And then he chooses and gives a rank and honor to parts of his creation of others makin Allah humble here. And no one had a decision, or a part to play in this decision making process. Right? When we witness the first release of the ledger, when we witness the month of Ramadan, when we witness the last 10 nights of Ramadan, right, when we witness the days of read, for example, and this is just referencing time, brothers and sisters, and this time we're not talking about lands because Allah also created all the land, right? Every piece of land on earth He created but we know he raised in rank, you know, pieces of these lands of others, like the lands of Makkah and Medina and the lands
of Sham, right, the Levant, Allah raise these in rank. Over the rest of all the other lands, there's a special importance that they have with a lot that the other lands don't have human beings as well. Allah created all the human beings but he gave a special importance to his prophets. And then he gave a special importance from the prophets to his messengers. And then he gave a special importance to five of the messengers that the other messengers didn't have, like Isa and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and Ibrahim alayhi salam, we said Isa, Elisa Musa alayhis salam,
and new Allah, his Salah, these five messengers received a special honor that the rest of the messengers didn't receive. Then from these five a lot gave two of these five especially importance that the rest didn't receive. These five are known as authority. These two are known as Hollywood law. Right? Hollywood law, these two have a closer connection with Allah subhanho wa Taala and relationship to Allah subhanho wa Taala.
So, and these two are Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and Abraham and his Salah. And then Allah gave importance to one of these two, and that is to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam by making him the final messenger. So we see brothers and sisters in Islam in different things a lot creates, creates everything and then he raises in rank, parts of these, of the creation of others. The point is, brothers and sisters in Islam, when we experience these special days and
special moments, it should make us remember that there is no one worthy of worship besides one Allah.
It should, because as Allah said, Matt Candela whom is here, no one had a part to play in choosing
which part of the creation of Allah will have a greater importance over
the rest of the creation of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So if no one had a, you know, a role to play in this, right? And Allah is ultimately the creator of all and then he chose independently and no one could protest. And what does this teach you brothers and sisters in Islam? This teaches you that lai lai, la la,
la la la la, there's no partners, allies, the only one worthy of worship. There's no partner so Pamela, and when we enter these days that Allah chose, without any partners, we should remember that there's no one with you of worship besides Him. So Allah subhanho wa Taala brings us these days and as Ibn Rajab Rahim Allah and the blue team and other scholars of Islam have highlighted to us that from the wisdoms of these days, is Allah subhanho wa Taala, giving us a chance to be forgiven, giving us a chance to get closer to him giving us a chance to build our agenda in immaculate phenomenal ways. And we need these brothers and sisters in Islam, especially in this day and age. We
spoke about this concept of how to
has no Baraka in our previous direct access sessions. Right? So so panela if time has no Baraka and time is leaving us so fast and people are passing away so quickly and at any time and we all in this race to Allah subhanho wa Taala and we try our level best to Pamela to gain the forgiveness of Allah subhanho wa Taala with this reality in mind brothers and sisters in Islam, surely we need to take full control, surely, of
the seasons of worship,
like the first 10 days of the hedger.
Now, once again, you see me looking around, please don't be distracted and please forgive me for that. It's just that I'm trying to monitor the different platforms and make sure everything is okay. All right, so that wherever you're watching from you can hear me clearly May Allah subhanho wa Taala Bless you. Now, with regards to the first 10 days of the head jab, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said
eloquently in in many narration and these narrations have been brought to us. authentically, he said sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and listen carefully because really, the durations are crystal clear.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that
and we have this in the editor in our bass in others. He says that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that there are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah subhanho wa Taala than the first 10 days of the hedger meaning these 10 days, referencing the first 10 days of the hijab.
Now remember, he's saying this to the companions, he's speaking to the Sahaba of the Allahu anhu matrimony. And these were people to handle love who received the religion fresh from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
So Pamela, Yanni, yesterday they were worshipping idols, and were enemies of Allah. And within moments, they were the most beloved to Allah subhanho wa Taala, hating their idols, loving to do everything that pleases Allah subhanho wa Taala. I think about this, that when they hear from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam, that they are no days in which your good deeds are more beloved to Allah. They immediately obviously given that they always wanted to please Allah are thinking about other deeds which they did to please Allah subhanho wa Taala and did it because they knew it's so beloved to Allah, such as fighting in the path of Allah, defending Islam, from the onslaught of
the Porush.
Though in the path of Allah we know whether we know of or hurt, we know of the trench, the Battle of the trench, they were defending
the Muslim country, from the attack of the parish, they knew this to be the, you know, a form of defending Allah subhanho wa Taala. And the religion of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And they were putting their life on the line.
What is you know, what is more beloved to us, brothers and sisters in Islam, or what is more precious to us, our lives are more precious to us. So here they put they were giving their life for the sake of Allah.
Right? And now the hearing the acts during these 10 days are better than every other act that you've done. So naturally, they asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that oh prophet of Allah. What about fighting in the path of Allah? defending a line defending the religion and defending the Muslim country with our lives? What about this?
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, No,
not even Jihad for the sake of Allah. Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah is more beloved to Allah, then the acts done during these days. But the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made one exception. He said, The exception is for the one who went out in the path of Allah, with his life, and with his wealth, and he didn't come back, meaning he was martyred, meaning he won't have a chance to witness the first 10 days of the hedge.
Right, you won't have a chance to witness the first 10 days off the head. Yeah, this person is an exception. As for the rest, realize that they are no other days in which your good deeds are more beloved to Allah, them the deeds that you do during this day. So panela brothers and sisters in Islam are lucky when you get teachings from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam with, you know, this level of authenticity and authoritativeness when I say authoritativeness I mean it's not open to interpretation. It's not something that's been canceled. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is laying in bed for us is telling us
that these are the days in which you have to
Bring it, you have to, if you need to take time off work, take time off work.
Right. And now, you know, during the off COVID-19 we know brothers and sisters in Islam, people generally because they're working from home, they have more flexibility. So you have an even greater chance this year to achieve that which you might have not been able to achieve from the first 10 days of the ledger during the years. Right. So
this is what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam is really highlighting for us that we need to bring it we need to realize that our charity during these 10 days is more beloved to Allah and worthy of greater rewards than the same charity you do during other days.
Right?
Your Salah during these days is more rewarding
than your Salah done outside of these days.
Your recitation of the Quran during these days is more rewarding. Then your recitation of the Quran outside of these days,
your charity,
your efforts with regards to the community,
your volunteering,
your respect to your parents.
The nurturing that you
you know you bring to your children.
When you do it during these days, it's more rewarding than the same act outside of these days.
So hon Allah
May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant his life to witness these 10 days and grant us guidance to to achieve
greatly.
Everything we can from these days, I mean, your upline me, right. So basically, brothers and sisters in Islam, you know, you pushed in on my one, you got to push even harder during the first 10 days of the hygenist, not for a month, just for 10 days, a third of the month. This is what you have to realize, we need to start planning from now, before the announcement is made, that the moon has been cited, we need to plan from now and come up with,
you know, come up with
a robust
process through which we can implement as many good deeds that we love to do during the course of the year, during these 10 days. That's what we need to do. Right? So it's about being good to your parents start thinking of how you can, you can do things that will please them, especially during these 10 days. And even better than that what you've been doing already, with regards to your children, think of ways that you can use to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala during these 10 days, you've been good to your children and hamdulillah How can I be better? Right? Maybe I'm going to teach them the Sierra during the 10 days of the hedger right, maybe I'm going to
make them memorize or memorize with them some parts of the Quran, maybe I'm going to read with them some basic tafsir. During this 10 day, something that I owe, if I'm already doing it, I'm going to increase because it's worth it. So this is how you you get rewarded for being a parent in a far greater way. Then
the rewards you are receiving during the rest of the course of the year by you being a parent, and like this, apply this concept to all other matters, your sila, and all acts of worship with this brothers and sisters in Islam.
We look at the other acts of worship such as fasting.
Right? And and with regards to fasting the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that a person who first the ninth of the hedger,
they will be or Allah subhanho wa Taala will forgive two years of the minuses. Two years of the minuses of just for fasting One day, the ninth of the hedger the day of alpha. Right. So here brothers and sisters in Islam, we see Subhana Allah,
you know, the reality of fasting, a voluntary fast during the first 10 days of the headship. And if this is the case with the ninth, then no doubt, there's importance given to fasting the other days. So as part of our plan with the first 10 days of the sugar, we should try and fast you know, all of the nine days of the head, Jan, I say nine, not 10 because the 10th day is the day of eat, and we're not allowed to fast during the day of read. But let's try and fast the nine days of the hitcher. If you can't fast the nine days of the hedger then try and fast every month every alternate date. The first the third, the fifth, the seventh
The night.
Okay.
If you can't do that, then try and fast every Monday and Thursday. I think we'll be having one Thursday and one Monday during the 10 days along with the day of our office, so you fasted at least three days, which is good because you fasted three days of the month and that is a reward of getting of the entire month. So put this in your plan, to the best of your ability, but come up with some plan through which you worship Allah, with different acts of worship. Try and enter gender through all of its doors during the first 10 days of the hitch. I don't know how else I can say brothers and sisters in Islam. Try and enter Jenna through all of its doors during these 10 days of the hitch,
thing deep, be creative, for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala but the point is bring it because there's no rewards greater for your acts of worship than the rewards that you will get during these days. And who knows if you will see next Ramadan? Who knows if we will see the next day.
Won't we be in regret brothers and sisters in Islam if it's decreed that we don't see the next Ramadan in the next lecture, and we didn't make use of of the month now, when we had the chance?
How many people felt regret with regards to the massage it when they closed and people started thinking so Pamela, there were so many salons I could have prayed in the masjid, which I didn't. And now even if I want to go I can't. We felt that that pain we felt so halala you know, the ill effects of a blessing being taken away from us. Right. So let us not set ourselves up for failure, but rather set ourselves up for success. Now we've spoken about the health of our best, and there's
different durations that are attributed to him. Robbie Allahu anhu Matt, but highlighting the same lesson. And when we look in the Quran, even our best he mentions that Allah subhanho wa Taala he takes an oath by the first 10 days of the Hajj and Allah subhanho wa Taala only takes an oath by that which is important.
So Allah says well, fetcher la le lasha Allah takes a person by dawn by true dawn, and then he takes a person by the nights of the first 10 or the nights of the 10 and the Scala sale I ll Azure here refers to the days of the head job, the first 10 days of the head job in which we've described that there's no deeds that you do except that you rewarded the greater reward than you would have been rewarded. Had you done the same deeds during any other time of the year. Now, we spoke about we just mentioned now when early Azure the 10 nights
Yes, you've been our best is it refers to the first 10 of the hedger
but some people ask and they say but Subhanallah you know, we always were taught that the last 10 nights of Ramadan is the best time to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala
and this is true, but the squat is explained that whilst the last 10 days of Ramadan are special and the first 10 days of the head are special, okay. Once this is so, once this is so
that
the first 10 days of the hedger are more auspicious and better than the last 10 days of Ramadan. And the last 10 nights of Ramadan are better and more suspicious, then the first 10 nights of the hedger and this is how you join between the two realities. Okay. So in answer to the question, those who say, you know, is it isn't the last 10 of Ramadan, the most special
we're hearing the first 10 is the most special we say they're both special. The last 10 of Ramadan is very special. The first 10 of the picture is very special, but the first 10 days of the hedger are better than the last 10 days of Ramadan, and the last 10 nights of Ramadan are better than the first 10 nights of the year, which means as you are staying up during the month of Ramadan searching for Laila to Qatar, during the first 10 days of the hedger, yes, you must worship during the day and during the night. But if you must choose the greater importance must be given to worship during the day. Because the first 10 days of the hedger are the best 10 days of the year, and no doubt they
house the best day of the year entirely, which is the day of the 10th of their hedger according to many scholars, the last 10 nights of Ramadan how's the best night of their would you leave it to others the night of virtue and degree and, and power so I hope we've shed some light on this now. What are the what are the acts that we can do? Well, we spoken about fasting right?
spoken about being creative in bringing about different acts of worship
and inshallah we are well aware of different ways we can worship Allah subhanho wa Taala but one thing I want to highlight is Vika is dica remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala for if there's one thing that Allah subhanho wa Taala commanded us to do in abundance brothers and sisters in Islam, it is because
if there's one thing that Allah commanded us to do in abundance, it's Vicar.
Okay.
Allah commanded us to do this in abundance, Allah says, Yeah, you levena man was guru ah ha the Quran cathi Allah Subhana Allah. Allah says, Oh you who believe
abundantly remember Allah Subhana who attack remember Allah subhanho wa Taala in abundance. Allah subhanho wa Taala didn't say, remember Allah subhanho wa Taala but rather he said remember light abundance.
And when we look at hedge and how the Hajaj are remembering Allah subhanho wa Taala constantly.
We see that Allah Subhana who Allah, He commands the head judge towards Vicar after they were already involved in
Allah subhanho wa Taala when he mentions or when he highlights the whole judge leaving out of they spent the whole day on out of worshipping Allah subhanho wa Taala. Right. The entire day. They're worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala reading Quran making dua reciting the tell BIA le bake Allahu Allah bake. They are asking a lot to forgive them. They are crying, they're not doing anything else besides worshiping Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah subhana wa tada after all of the SES for either Kobe to Massey cocoon, physical lahug haka victory can come
from OSHA.
After all of this, Allah says when you finish out Arthur, and you had to miss deliever, remember Allah subhanho wa Taala in abundance.
He commands us towards Vicar after Vicar
and this is an important act of worship to take care of during the first 10 days of the hedger and in integration brothers and sisters in Islam. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he commands the Ummah towards reciting a lot of tests be saying Subhana Allah
and tag me saying Alhamdulillah and tech be saying Allahu Akbar. During these first 10 days of the agenda, we know after every Salah we supposed to do it, if we're not doing it, make sure you do it, after Salah during the first 10 days of the hedger and make it with a do it with the intention that it will be something that you do throughout the course of the year. Why? Because this is from the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and Allah subhanho wa Taala loves us to praise him especially what Subhana Allah
right? I mean in the narration of Abraham and he will port
as mentioned by Eben behat Minister of CIF when he discusses the story of
the angels telling Allah after Allah said he's going to create Adam, they said we're not going to
do sub B who will know that this will occur We praise you we continuously praise you what so Pamela, we announced how perfect you are Allah.
So have you been courteous generation that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went to the heavens, he heard ringing through the heavens,
the vicar of
have some handler ringing through the heavens, angels at every tier of the heavens, we're announcing how perfect Allah subhanho wa Taala is in glorifying Allah subhanho wa Taala with
sapan Allah Subhana Allah Subhana Allah, so we should increase this during these days especially so Pamela Alhamdulillah and the delille La ilaha illa Allah and the tech Kabir Allahu Akbar, as we find in the Sunnah.
And also brothers and sisters in Islam, from the specific acts of worship
of the first 10 days of the hedger is the tech reveal Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar de la ilaha illa Allahu Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allah he'll hand we know the stack of you write this beautiful technique that we hear during the day of read. And during the days of hedge. This stack beat has been taught to us in two ways, number one and open unrestricted way as something we should recite frequently and loudly for the males from
mohareb off the first of the head job until
the end of answer on the 13th of the hedge. So
13 days of announcing allowed and in an unrestricted way, openly.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar announcing how great Allah subhanho wa Taala is and then saying La ilaha illa Allah Allah Akbar, this is the lead, which we said we must also do, which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam commanded us to do. And then we say, what the * happened? We do the meat,
right?
We do all this in this Vicar. And we should increase in this throughout the days of the hijab from Muslim of the first of the hedger till
the end of alpha on the 13th of the hedge. This is known as the unrestricted open tech
but then we on top of this we have the restricted tech beer. And this restricted that beer happens
after our Sala for those who are not performing hedge from failure of the ninth of the hedge until I saw of the 13th of the hedge
so after every Salah we do our stuffer after the Salaam you see stuff through law stuff little law stuff little law a lot. Salam omenka Salam tabarrok del Jalali will Ikram. Okay, now you've done the ticker after that you say loudly, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar La ilaha illa Allah who Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allah he'll hand you recite, after Salah, at the Africa, this Vicar
from furture of the ninth of the hedger
which includes after the door and answer and Margaret and Asia like this, until the end until also of the 13th of the hedge, this is known as the restricted technique, and this is from acts of worship that are specific to the days of the hitch.
Also from the acts of worship brothers and sisters that we can do obviously Hajin Amara is from the acts of worship, but this year this is not possible for
the vast majority of the time, but what we can do is sacrifice that which is known as the adhere that which is known as the oath here. The oath here is different to the heady
right Allah subhanho wa Taala says, well actually Russa compact, yeah boo boo huduma Hill, in the area of hygiene circle Baka.
This is the heavy heavy refers to the sacrifice of Hajj, which your pilgrim does
right when they complete the out of
then, from the acts of the 10th of the hedger is to pelt the Jamaat and then also to observe the toe of the Kaaba known as the top of hedge. And then they sacrifice and then they shave their head. The sacrifice that is done on the 10th by the Hajj, a person who's doing Hajj, this is known as the heady. This is known as the Heidi.
But there's something else another sacrifice known as the other here, or what people in
in South Asia
called Kobani. Or Bernie, I don't know what you guys call it, but it's known also as the sacrifice for the Muslims that they do during the days of he dribbled out.
Okay, this is from the greatest acts of worship brothers and sisters in Islam, that we can do during these days. In fact, in the sun now we are taught that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam spent 10 years in Medina sacrificing every year, he never missed out on this act.
And Allah says in the Quran for suddenly are a bigger one.
Right that we should observe. Some of the scholars of Tafseer have said this ayah refers to praying Salah tele read on the 10th of the head Yeah, and then sacrificing the sacrifice of evil for suddenly Arabic.
Bark Hello feek. For those who are asking questions, I will try and go through your questions just now. But I'm also answering your questions right now, in sharing with you some of the particulars of this topic, because I imagine that these are questions people already have things related to the sacrifice things related to the actions of the days of the hedger and so on and so forth. So please bear with me in sha Allah. Once we done inshallah, I'll shift three out of three your questions with the light add
pipe.
So we speaking about the sacrifice, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did this every year he never left it. And because he never left it, some of the scholars are
Islam and this is the view of the Hanafi madhhab. And the chosen view of Eman even taymiyah Rahim Allah and it is an attribute of view to Mr. Malik, even though
to the best of my knowledge is not the method of the Maliki's.
Some scholars have considered this sacrifice as compulsory upon those who are financially able.
But the majority of the scholars of the mother Maliki must have the shell theory met have been the Hambali method, they consider it and a confirmed son, a confirmed son, which means we shouldn't leave it for the sake of saving money. If we have money, we should do it.
If we have money, we should do it. Okay, and remember, if we constantly leave something which the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam always did, then some of the scholars of Islam say you are sinful because you are leaving a conformed confirmed Sunnah without a good reason. Yes, if a person is not financially able, this is different. Okay. But if you are able, then it's a confirmation that we shouldn't just leave it for the sake of leaving it or leaving it for the sake of it being a student. And this is a problem which we have to fix brothers and sisters in Islam, this concept of leaving things because it's as soon as we say no, it's so nice. Okay. No, that's a high power great, because
they did the sooner because it was assumed.
And our problem today and the reason why we not great is because we leave the sooner because it's assumed Allah understand.
This is problematic brothers and sisters in Islam. Yes, no problem. If we stick to the compulsory matters of religion, we will be safe as long as we don't do sins but who is free from sins? We need the sinner to help bolster our our good deeds because of the many sins that we have. And if we love the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and Allah commanded us to walk in his footsteps. Why would we allow him to stand? Why would we leave something which the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam never left, if we commanded to walk in his footsteps, and we know that he was the best worshipped Allah. And he did this regularly. So it means it's so beloved to Allah subhanho wa Taala. Right? Why
would we want to leave it without diligence, meaning just in a, in a in a reckless, careless way. So it's important that if we can sacrifice we sacrifice now there's some rules pertaining to the sacrifice from these rules. Number one, is that it should be done after the read prayer, it shouldn't be done before the prayer. Some people say chef, can we can we sacrifice an animal in India, or in Sudan, or in Pakistan, or in some country in Africa? We say yes, you can. You can send the money there and get the people to sacrifice, but you have to tell them to only sacrifice after you, you have completed your solitary
because someone wants sacrificed before the prayer and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said your sacrifice is just a setup, it's not the sacrifice worthy of the rewards of the sacrifice done on the do have read because that sacrifice should be done after the solid. Okay. So this is very important brothers and sisters in Islam from the rules of the other here, which is the sacrifice that the Muslims generally do. Those who are not on Hajj, generally do is to sacrifice after the prayer or ensure that your sacrifice happens after the eat prayer. I hope this is clear brothers and sisters in Islam, those on Facebook, please let me know and those on YouTube as well, let me know
that things are very clear for you.
So this is rule number one, rule number two, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam taught us that we shouldn't sacrifice animals that have defects. Right, they have some form of blindness or the horns are damaged or they have some physical ailment, we should choose an animal that is not too expensive, not too cheap, but something worthy of giving to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And something worth he should you know, it's also merciful not to choose an animal that has some form of defect. So give to Allah subhanho wa Taala that which you'd be happy for yourself.
So he taught us the summer love it he was in. And he also taught us that when you sacrifice the other here, then this, there's this specific ages, that the animal that you sacrifice needs to have. You can't just sacrifice an animal of any age. Right and in Arabic, the scholars have discussed the concept of Muslim, right. So an animal of a particular age, it's not like when you sacrifice just to eat. If you sacrifice just to eat, then you can sacrifice an animal of any age. But for the earth here, you have to sacrifice an animal of a particular age. And
with regards to the odds here the no doubt it refers to animals that fall within the category of behemoth to an an
As Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran, and and these animals include camels, cows, okay? sheep and goats.
Right chickens are not included here. Chickens are not included. In fact those who say chickens are included, they've misunderstood the narration that goes back to even our best of your love and humor. if my memory serves me right that he was the narrator, he was not telling us about sacrificing chickens, but he was highlighting the importance of offering a sacrifice on these days.
So camels, cows, sheep and goats, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam highlighted for us, the particular age groups or age ages of each group. So for example, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, with regards to
with regards to a camel, for example, that it shouldn't be lesser than five years old, the age of the camera should not be below
five years.
And with regards to a cow, which shouldn't be below two years,
right, and then with regards to
sheep, then the minimum age should be one year, you're not allowed to sacrifice anything less than one year.
However, and this is the same with a goat, you're not allowed to sacrifice a goat that's less than one year old. However, if it's impossible to find
an animal that is one year old from sheeps and goats, then an exception was made in the case of sheep.
With the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam permitted, the sacrifice of a sheep only have six months. Right? Or a sheep that that is six months old. But this is as an exception. For those who can't find a sheep that has reached the age of one year.
Or a goat that has reached the age of one year. The exception was made for
the sheep
in that you can sacrifice a sheep that has reached the age of six months. And the fact that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has taught us and he was taught by Allah that there is an exception here, brothers and sisters in Islam. Then we learn Subhanallah how important it is to sacrifice. Because if it wasn't so important, then why would an exception be placed?
At the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam could have said if you don't find the camel who's five years or older or a cow that's two years or older or a sheep or a goat that's one year older, you don't sacrifice No, here, an exception was made.
Right that if you can't then find the sheep that is six months
in age and offer that as a sacrifice. Okay, now how does the sacrifice happen? We said it happens after the Salah, and according to the majority of the scholars, a person sacrifices one animal for him and his family, like the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did, and it had it says that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam slaughtered to white
and black.
Rams with horns,
cap Cheney and Mullah Haney, aka Ronnie.
Any amila refers to a whitish, whitish RAMs, they were whitish RAMs, and they were horned.
And he sacrificed to one on behalf of himself and his family.
Right, and one on behalf of himself in the form of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
So the majority of the scholars say one animal suffices a person and his or her family, those that are under a person, any a father, or a brother, a male is in you know, he has the financial responsibility of taking care of his family. So him and whoever is under his care. One animal suffices the Hanafi madhhab stipulates that no, one animal only covers one person. So if the person is sacrificing on behalf of himself and his family, his wife and three children, for example, he needs to then sacrifice one animal for him one animal for his wife and one animal for his first child, another one for your second child and another one for his third child. So that's five
animals. Okay, but the majority of the scholars say no, it's one animal for you. And those end, what should you do you follow the view and guidance of the scholars of your country that you are in. And obviously, if you can't afford, if you can't afford
to purchase an animal for each person, then
then you know, if you purchase one animal and you include in your intention your family, then this is correct. This wouldn't be a considered beta because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself did it. And this is the view of the majority of the scholars of the US if you can't afford several and even the hand of your mother, the Hanafi madhhab stipulations for those who can afford the sacrifice from the conditions of the sacrifices that you
Have the financial ability to do so. But if you don't, then you just you, obviously you purchase an animal for yourself if you only have enough for one person. And then if you did use the view of the other scholars, which was the practice of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam to include in his intention, those who are under his care, his financial care and guidance, then this is not a bitter, okay.
But in terms of the majority of the method, as I said, it's one animal on behalf of the person and those who he includes in his intention.
Now,
with regards to the person who is slaughtering, whether he slaughters himself, or whether he pays someone to do it, the person who's paying for the animal, the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam, highlighted that when will hit just starts, they should not cut any of the nails or remove any hair from their body.
Right, and the wisdom of this brothers and sisters in Islam is so that they
can resemble the Hajaj on the days of Hajj. Now, the scholars have different about the ruling, is it haram for you to cut your nails during the first 10 days of the hedgerow if you're going to sacrifice
or is it disliked?
The majority of the scholars of Islam says disliked the humbly method says it's Haram.
And they have the evidences but our time is running out. We don't have time to go into the evidences. But again, what I'm telling you to do is engage your local scholarship and ask them is it haram? Or is it just forbidden? meaning is it haram or is it disliked? And take the guidance of your local Islamic scholarship on this? Now pay attention that this rule of not cutting nails, and removing hair applies to the one who's paying
for the animal. So if a father is purchasing an animal,
and including and then he includes in his intention, his family, the rule of not cutting and not removing hair, not cutting nails, or not removing it applies to him, not his family. But if he is doing an individual sacrifice for each person in his family, himself, his wife, and then an animal for his son and animals for his daughter, then the rule applies to everyone who has a specific animal that will be sorted on their behalf even if he's paying. Why because the animal is for them. They need to have intention, right because of the animal that is for them and the father gets the rewards of giving a gift that he's paying on behalf of them. So whoever has an animal sacrificed on
their name, meaning they're not included within someone's intention, the prohibition of refraining from cutting nails, and removing hair applies to them as well. But whoever is getting the rewards of a sacrifice because someone has included them in the intention. Then the ruling of not cutting nails and removing hair doesn't apply to them. It only applies to the person who is cutting the animal for himself and including the other people in his intention. I hope this is clear. But nonetheless, if it isn't clear, then please check up with your local Islamic scholarship. Okay, brothers and sisters in Islam. I pray. Are there any etiquettes pertaining to the animals being sacrificed? Yes, of course there's etiquette from the etiquette is you shouldn't bring difficulty to the animal, you should have a sharp,
sharp knife so that the the the the process of slaughtering is seamless. It happens immediately and doesn't
cause the animal any pain, you shouldn't make one animal see the other animal being slaughtered. Because if the other animal sees what's happening immediately they're going to feel hear
from the etiquettes is to cover the eyes of the animal so they don't see the knife going on to the neck. It is reported that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam placed his knee on the head of the animal but not enough
to hurt the animal but in a way that ensured that one I was kept on the ground and the other I was covered if the animal has long ears then some of the scholars say covered the the eye that is open that can see the knife coming down with the ear.
Also, prior look after the animal feed the animal don't mistreat the animal and so on and so forth. So this has been shit. Rihanna from Zimbabwe is asking about age for goats. We did answer that question. We said it's one year old. That's the minimum age
