Saad Tasleem – Spit in the Masjid

			Sit on what Aiko and welcome to another episode of this series in which we are going to be going
over selected narrations from imaginable hotties under one roof flood. Today we're going to be
talking about a small deed with big implications.
		

			NARRATION number 228 in a double move flood, Abu barraza A Swami said to the Prophet sallallahu

of Allah Tell me of a deed that will enter me into paradise. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
said, me hoping, I'll put a fineness remove that which is harmful from people's path. Now I know
many of you may have heard this Hadeeth. Before you may know already that as a Muslim, if we see
something harmful on the road, or on a path, that we should remove it, but today, I want you to
consider the question that was asked by Abu barraza, he said, O Messenger of Allah Tell me of a deed
		

			of an action that will enter me into paradise, meaning how significant is this action, we may
perceive it think of it as being something very small or insignificant, but the Prophet sallallahu
send them is conveying to us that this is a very significant deed, because it could enter us into
paradise. And look, the point here isn't that this deed will definitely get us into paradise. The
point is that we change our mindset, change it to no deed is insignificant. No deed is too small.
And it is that mindset that will enter us into paradise. Also, I want you to think about the
converse of the statement of the Prophet sallallahu. I knew he was sending him if removing something
		

			bad or harmful from the road or walkway is so significant, that it can enter us into paradise, then
how significant is it to put something harmful or leave something harmful on the path and we see the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam expressing exactly that in narration number 230. From another
buttermilk flood, in which he said early that I lay your armor lumati I was shown the deeds of my
oma both good and bad, and from the good deeds is removing harmful things from the past. And from
the bad deeds was a noir which is spit spit in the machine that was not covered up or basically
removed. So leaving spit in the machine, there's something bad or foul in the machine. Here, the
		

			profit that I send them is telling us that this is one of the bad deeds of his own. And this doesn't
just apply to spit by the way it applies to anything bad or harmful in the machine. And this doesn't
just apply to the machine. It applies to anywhere and putting something anywhere where it could be
harmful or bothersome to people and so what's an example of that? Well, littering once again, we may
think of it as being inconsequential, not a big deal, but it is harm is harm, whether it be big or
small as Muslims we can never be little any type of harm. One of the principles or Maxim's of
Islamic law is a vulnerable user harm is to be removed. In other words, as the Prophet sallallaahu I

reciprocating harm, whether it be physical harm or emotional harm, or harm that we may think is
insignificant like throwing trash outside of your car or littering on the streets harm is harm and
