			Assalamualaikum and welcome to another episode of this series in which we are covering selected
narrations from the mountain bodies book.

00:00:08 --> 00:00:13
			Today we're going to be talking about making fun or laughing at someone's physical traits.

00:00:15 --> 00:01:00
			In narration number 237 from an audible flood alley are they allowed to either and who narrates that
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam asked the companion to live in Missouri to climb up on a
tree and get something from it as he began to climb up on the tree some people began to laugh at how
skinny I've delivered Mr. Woods legs where the profits civilized send them then said muffled Hakuna
la regional delay calophyllum meezan min, What are you laughing at? Certainly the foot or leg of
Abdullah weighs more on the scale than the mountain of the scale here by the way is referring to the
scale of good deeds on the Day of Judgment. First things first, mocking or making fun of someone's

00:01:00 --> 00:01:45
			physical attributes is how long it is impermissible, Allah has created everyone to be different in
their physical traits. And to mock someone or to make fun of someone is a despicable act and it is
not from the behavior of a Muslim of a believer. Second, this heads should really make us think
about how we assign value to people. What is it based on money good looks nice things popularity
those are some of the common ones yet this head he tells us that true value is value with a law and
value with a lot doesn't come from the things that I just mentioned in a hadith in Sahih Muslim the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in the La La young guru in a Saudi Kampala in a Saudi come

00:01:45 --> 00:02:29
			when I can a young little illa kulu become certainly a law does not look at your bodies, nor does he
look at your faces, rather he looks at your hearts. So where does value with a law come from? It
comes from what is in the heart. It comes from one's piety, one's TEPCO, as Allah says in Surah
mcomber in the law, he at home the most noble amongst you are those who have the most telkwa amongst
you. So we see here people laughing at our beloved Massoud because of his skinny legs and the
prophets. I send them rebuke them because regardless of his physical traits, regardless of how he
looks, his value with a lot is immense, who was a delight in Massoud. He was a devoted worshiper, a

00:02:29 --> 00:03:06
			scholar amongst the companions, someone who was dedicated to the Koran. And so I had Bahati and
second listening, the Prophet sallallahu send them said, Take the Koran from for and amongst them,
he mentioned a beloved Massoud in Malaga, and he must know that it is narrative that the prophets
Allah I send them said, whoever would like to recite the Quran, the exact way in which it was
revealed, then they should recite it like him are delighted and Massoud, we know that delight was
the companion that the Prophet satellite send them when asked to recite the Quran for him. So the
prophets I send them could listen to the Quran. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of the merits

00:03:06 --> 00:03:48
			of this companion. So we may look down at someone, we may even laugh at someone based off of what we
see. But the reality is, we don't know what their true value is, we may make judgments about them
based off of what we see or what we hear. But once again, we don't know what their true value is
with Allah. And that is why making judgments about people is so very dangerous. So just as we say
that as a Muslim, as a believer, we should not mock or make fun of people. Likewise, we should not
rush to judgment about people, regardless of what we see. We don't know what is in their heart. We
don't know truly what their relationship is like with Allah subhana wa Allah and Allah has power and

00:03:48 --> 00:04:08
			Allah knows best. I'll see you in the next episode in sha Allah data set on what a comb what
happened to lie about a cat. Hey there, thank you for sticking around till the end of the video.
