AI: Summary ©
The speakers discuss the history and use of idols as a means to get closer to Islam, including the misogyny of people of race and the importance of love and desire for oneself. They also touch on the cultural and political impacts of Islam, including the recitation of Qdisks, the importance of serving others, and the trend of men wearing dresses and social media. The speakers emphasize the importance of praying before the night and offer guidance on how to do so. They also discuss the difference between Qiyam and Qiyam (the Q parody), the punishment of Islam subhanahu wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa
AI: Summary ©
to gather us all in a better gathering
in Jannah insha'Allah ta'ala under the
shade of Allah Azza wa Jal.
The day when there is no shade except
his shade.
And we're still with Surat Al-Baqarah.
Excuse me, Surat Al-Baqarah or also Surat
Al-Barakah.
Surat Al-Baqarah, Surat Al-Barakah.
It's a surah of blessings from Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
Taken on Surat Al-Baqarah is barakah, is
blessings.
And ignoring Surat Al-Baqarah or disregarding Surat
Al-Baqarah is hasrah, is a regret for
those who ever ignore and neglect it.
So we're still with the ayat of Al
-Hamd and ayat of the ayat of glorifying
Allah Azza wa Jalla.
Allah Azza wa Jalla talks about all his
ni'ma or some of his ni'ma, namely ten
particular ni'ma of blessings Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala talked about, namely the creation of the
earth, the sky and the alternation between the
day and night, the coming down of the
rain, the sending of the rain.
الناس and the ships that are sailing in
the ocean, carrying that which benefit people.
So Allah Azza wa Jalla talks about all
this.
Indeed, in this is
an ayat or signs of people of intellect.
And last week we talked about, you know,
what does that mean?
You know, people, يَعْقِلُونَ, يَعْقِلُونَ, those with intellect,
those who can ponder of the blessings of
Allah Azza wa Jalla created us with a
brain, you know, and this brain is basically
Allah has given it to you so that
you can distinguish between that which is wrong
and that which is right.
You know, what differentiates us, subhanAllah, may Allah
honor you between us and animals.
Right.
Allah Azza wa Jalla has given us this
intellect, this brain to think, to choose.
And Allah Azza wa Jalla did not leave
us just like that in vain.
He sent prophets and messengers, right, to show
you that which is right from that which
is wrong.
And then Allah Azza wa Jalla has given
you this will, this will of choosing.
So it's your choice at the end.
You cannot blame, astaghfirullah, anybody else that you
have not heard or the message has not
reached you.
Allah Azza wa Jalla has given you everything.
So then he has given you the will
to choose.
You know, insan mukhayyar wa musayyar.
We are musayyar in ways and we are
mukhayyar in many other ways.
So with both, you know, yes, our will
does not operate outside of the decree of
Allah Azza wa Jalla.
Yet Allah Azza wa Jalla already knows that
which you're going to choose.
A person chose to follow this particular faith
and another person chose to not to believe
in Allah Azza wa Jalla completely.
So this is the yaqawmin yaqilun, to the
people with sound intellect.
And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala moves
to another, are you talking about people who
use idols?
And we're going to talk about what does
it mean?
You know, like nid, wa minan nas, and
amongst people, wa minan nas.
And still there are people who yattakhiduna may
yattakhidu min dooni illahi andaadan yuhibbuna wa ka
hubbi Allah.
They take others other than Allah as nid,
equal to Allah Azza wa Jalla.
walladheena aamanu ashaddu hubban lillah.
And those who truly believe they have this
intense love of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
So when Allah talks about this, there are
people who use others as equal to Allah.
This is, this is dhulm.
This is dhulm.
Why?
Because this is shirk and shirk is dhulm.
Shirk means is to associate someone with Allah.
Quraish, they did this.
They believed in Allah.
wa la'in sa'altahu man khalaqa as
-samawati wal-adha, yaqulun Allah.
If you were to ask them who created
the heavens and the earth, they would say
Allah.
But why did they not just go and
ask Allah alone?
No, they asked, they used the idols as
a mean to get them closer to Allah.
They used hubbal, like their God, their idol,
wal-laat wal-uzza, as means to get
them closer.
Instead of asking Allah directly, they were asking
these, these idols, you know, as, you know,
they thought that these idols would get them
closer to Allah.
Just like what some others are doing today
in terms of confession.
Confessing to, instead of confessing directly to Allah
and admitting your sins to Allah, just like
Adam alayhi salam did.
And he did that when he, you know,
in Arafah.
O Allah, we have wronged
ourselves.
So he admitted, he confessed, Adam and Hawwa,
they confessed their sins.
They did not go to anyone.
They confessed their sins directly to Allah Azawajal.
So here, these people, you know, Allah says
And there are people who
use others other than Allah, equal to Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
So this is called shirk.
They love
Allah, but they use others and they love
others.
And I will explain something really deep here.
They love others or they have the love
of others as equal as the love of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
What did they give you?
Allah says in this ayah,
O you people, Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala is saying here, He's giving you a
parable, like an example.
So listen to this example.
The example is those, O people, those that
you're using or you that you're taking as
as nid, as same as Allah or as
equal to Allah, they can create anything as
they cannot create so much as as dhubab,
dhubab means a fly.
They can even create a fly, something so
teeny tiny, something so trivial.
They can even create a fly, let alone
Allah who created this whole universe.
So you're using these other people that can
create nothing, not even a fly.
You may say, yes, Sheikh, but there are
people now creating robots just like, you know,
Tesla robots who can replace assistants and secretaries
and and eventually workers at some point.
So it's costing them, you know, not much.
And then they these these things that they
are creating is a replacement of beings.
Does that mean they created the human being
or any being?
It's still a it's still an instrument, it's
still some sort of technology, but they cannot
create that which can benefit or that which
can bring them, as Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala says, that or that which can bring
them benefit, that which can like the heavens
and the earth, like the alternation between the
days and night, when Ibrahim alayhi salam, he
told the Namrud, in Allah, Allah brings the
sun from the from the from in Allah.
Allah brings the sun from the west.
Can you bring it from the east?
Allah brings the sun from the.
Yeah, that's right.
From the east.
So bring it from the west.
So, when Allah, he told him, Allah can
bring this.
Can you bring the sun from the east
as Allah does?
No, you cannot.
So, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, is
that equal?
The one who creates like the one who
does not create.
And why can't you leave the one who
creates and worship him?
So you leave him and you worship that
which cannot create.
How can he not create?
Pharaoh, when he says, I don't know all
people of Egypt.
There is no God other than me.
He said, Pharaoh.
There is no God other than me.
I don't know of any other God other
than me.
And then when he was sinking and he
was drowning.
Now, I believe.
When he was dying, then he says, I
believe.
I believe in that which the God of
Musa and others.
Now that you are dying, now, now you
say that you believe.
It's too late.
So Musa said, Pharaoh said that he was
God.
He said, I am Rabbukum Al-A'la.
He said, I am Rabbukum Al-A'la.
You've got the most high, subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
Alaysa li mulku misr wa hadihi al-anhar
wa tajrimi tahti.
Didn't he say that?
He says, am I not?
Don't I have the dominion and the sovereignty
over Egypt?
And these are the rivers running beneath me?
He said that, subhanAllah.
But then the rivers that are running beneath
him, they ran above him when he was
dying.
The same thing that he said, look, I
have the sovereignty over Egypt.
I've got this dominion.
I've got the mulk.
This is why we say, Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen,
Al-Rahman Al-Raheem, Malik Yawm Al-Din
or Malik Yawm Al-Din.
There's no one who can have that mulk
except Allah, subhanAllah.
This is why his name is Al-Malik,
Al-Malik, Al-Malik.
These are three names.
Which alludes to how Allah Azawajal is the
one and only creator and owner and sovereign
over this universe, subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And that, and that has two meanings.
Follow me, please.
And that has two meanings.
And that means, it means idols from stones
that they used to worship.
They used to make these idols from stones
like Hubal, like Al-Lat and Al-Uzza.
These are all idols that they they crafted
with their own hands.
From rocks.
Also, and that means people.
Are there people who worship people today?
Yes.
Who?
Don't the Christians worship Isa?
Don't they say Isa is our God?
Don't they say the Trinity, you know, the
God and the son and the father and
whatever and the Holy Spirit, and they worship
in Isa?
Are there people worshipping rats and monkeys and
whatever?
Yes.
Are there people worshipping money?
When I say worship, it doesn't mean like
they're making sujood to them.
Although some are actually making sujood.
A guy, brother, a guy had a headache.
And they tried to help him, he said
I have a headache.
So he pulled a hundred dollars.
He put it on, I feel better now.
You know, I'm true, it's not funny.
You know, it's not funny.
It is, but it's not a joke.
He says, like you put a hundred dollars
on my forehead.
How do he worships money?
That which leaves the commands of Allah Azza
wa Jal, and he follows his desires and
whims.
Who does he worship?
So these are all undead.
Nid is not just an idol from from
stone that Quraysh or the the mushriks were
worshipping.
And Nid could be also hukam, could be
also leaders.
When a leader says something and then this
leader or this president or this king who
says, do this, don't do that.
OK, we'll do this, don't do that.
Although Allah Azza wa Jal says, no, this
is haram.
But the leader says, no, this is haram,
we're going to do it.
OK, fine.
You're the leader.
You're the ameer, you're the king, you're the
president.
So you follow.
So these are also undead, mindoonillah.
The one who says, ya Ali, isn't he
worshipping Ali?
The ones who say, ya Hussain, you know
what I'm talking about.
Ya Hussain, instead of saying, ya Allah, they
say, ya Hussain, ya Ali, ya Abdul Jilali,
Abdul Qadir Jilali.
He was a pious, righteous man, right?
Some said, no, he was a saint.
He was a righteous man.
So he got buried and they put this
thing around him and whatnot.
And some people, they go and they make
tawaf.
This is pure shirk.
Instead of saying, ya Allah, ya Fulan, even
saying, ya Muhammad, it's shirk.
Do you know that?
When they call and make dua and supplicate,
ya Rasulullah, give.
No, Rasulullah is dead.
You don't ask Rasulullah to give you.
Rasulullah is dead.
Ask Allah.
ista'anta fasta'in billah.
When you ask, ask Allah.
When you seek help from Allah, subhanahu wa
hu niddan lillah.
Brothers, here's an interesting thing.
Your wife, who's married?
It's OK.
You're free.
Today is a brother's halaqa.
You're free.
Who's married?
If your wife was to tell you, ya
Muhammad, if your wife was to tell you,
I love you, my husband.
And I also love that man like you.
That other man, I also love him just
like I love you.
Are you laughing, huh?
Wallahi, I love you, my husband.
But you know, Muhammad, I also love him,
too.
What are you going to do?
No, you love me, me alone.
You can love another man.
Yes, you can love your father.
You can love your brother, your son.
But the Imam of the masjid, or the
shaykh, you love him like you love me?
No, you can't do that.
You only love me.
Walillahumma thal a'la.
You say you love Allah, and I also
love that other man.
You love your wife.
There's no problem.
You love your husband.
There's no problem.
You love your kids.
Yes, of course.
But your love for this family or your
loved one should not be as equal as
the love of Allah.
The love of Allah should be.
No, this is what it means.
I did not talk about the opposite, though,
huh?
You know, we don't talk about the opposite.
That's why I'm just talking.
If your wife was to tell you, I
love you, Habibi Maryjan.
And I also love so and so as
I love you.
Huh, Bilal?
Yes.
If your wife tells you, I love you
and I love also so and so like
you.
Muhammad like you?
No, no, no.
I love you, Bilal.
But I also love your friend.
I also love your friend.
Huh?
How?
Exactly.
So how about people who say, I love
Allah and I also love...
It's just like, Astaghfirullah.
This is what it means.
That's what it means.
And those who believe have intense love of
Allah.
And when you love Allah Azza wa Jal,
by the way, Allah Azza wa Jal will
You see when you love Allah and Allah
loves you, Allah will call Jibreel and he
will tell him, Ya Jibreel, I love Naeem,
you love him.
Love him, Ya Jibreel, and Jibreel will love
you.
And Jibreel will call upon the angels.
He's the master, Sayyid al-Malaika.
Oh, Jibreel, Ya Malaika, I, Allah and I
love so and so, love him.
And the angels will make a call upon
the people of the earth.
Oh, people of the earth, Allah, Jibreel and
us love so and so.
Love him.
Everybody on earth will love him.
You see when we talk about the love
Your love for your wife is not the
same as your love for your daughter.
Your love for your daughter is not the
same as the love of your mother.
Your love of your mother is not the
same as the love of your father.
The love of your father is not the
same as the love of so and so.
يعني everybody has their own type of love.
And this is a mistake when somebody says,
who do you love more, me or your
mother?
This is wrong.
The question in itself is wrong.
I love you and I love my mother.
And I love you and I love my
father.
And I love you and I love my
daughter.
And I love you and I love my
son.
And I love you and I love my
brother and my sister.
But my love to you is different as
the love of my mother and so on
and so forth.
Everybody has their own type of love.
My love for Mu'izz or Mu'taz is
different than the love.
My love of Bilal.
أنا بالنسبالي, you know, كيف, I'll tell you
I love maybe Mu'taz more than Bilal.
Because Allah says, you see, there's some people
that you love more than others.
This is the love.
Even Rasulullah said it, يا أخي, please.
Even the Prophet Muhammad said, you know, يا
الله, don't hold me responsible about that which
I don't have any control over.
My love for Aisha more than the love
for Sauda مثلا.
Or my love for Khadija more than the
love of, you know.
So don't hold me responsible of that which
I cannot control.
But there is love,
So all I'm telling you here, love for
this is different than the love of that.
And then the angels will love you.
Look at that, you know,
when Allah loves you and Jibreel loves you
and the angels love you.
The special angels also will
love you.
Who?
The carriers of the throne of Allah عز
Who are the carriers of the throne of
Allah?
These are the special, very selected angels.
Eight of them.
They
are not just make, they make so much
dua for you.
Allah says those who carry the throne of
Allah
They are in constant remembrance of Allah
وتعالى and they are making dua for those
who repent to Allah.
What they saying
O Allah forgive those who repent
to you O Allah.
These all because you earn the love of
Allah
By the way, what makes you earn the
love of Allah?
I'll share with you 10 things that will
make you earn the love of Allah.
Amongst them is this type of gathering.
I swear by
the one who holds my soul.
This type of gatherings like this will earn
you the love of Allah.
And I will give you the evidence of
that.
What did this one that you love has
given you?
This one that you that you worship other
than Allah.
What did he give you?
What did Allah give you?
We talked about what Allah
has given you.
خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ So look at Allah عز
O you mankind, O you people, مَا غَرَّكَ
What has deceived you in your Lord?
The one who created you.
And he shaped you and
he fashioned you.
Brothers, please think with me.
Please think with me.
An animal such as a cow.
They have two feet and two hands like,
you know, four feet, let's say four feet.
A dog, may Allah honor you.
A cat, may Allah honor you.
When they eat, they eat their face on
the ground.
They lick that which is on the ground.
You throw something to a dog, may Allah
honor you.
You throw something to a dog, right?
And the dog goes and eats it from
the ground.
Allah has honored you.
You don't eat from the ground.
You have hands that pick from that which
is on the ground and you eat it.
They walk like this, heads down.
You walk,
خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ In the verse, فَعَدَّلَكَ He
made you straight and like animals.
So this is an honor from Allah to
you.
Why would you worship something else?
Tell them, tell those friends, tell those neighbors.
Didn't we make it, didn't we
give him two eyes?
And lips.
The one that they create, that they're worshiping,
you know, those that they worship these pictures
of these elephants and then they put them
like this.
And then they have these trays of fruits
that they put next to these.
What is that, man?
What was the fruits for?
Things will go to waste.
What has he given you?
Allah is
saying, look at these two eyes that Allah
has given you.
And this tongue that you can talk and
these lips to stay quiet sometimes.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
And we have guided him towards, you know,
That which is right and that which
is wrong.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
Allah has brought you out
from the wombs of your mother not knowing
anything.
And then he
has blessed you with hearing
Again, and the brain.
You see, all these are blessings from Allah
Azza wa Jalla.
How can you worship someone other than Him
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
What did they give you?
Nothing.
If you give me five more minutes inshallah
it will be done بإذن الله.
Any five, ten minutes maximum.
But the question is, like I said أن
To claim
that Allah, that you love Allah, it's easy,
right?
It's easy to say, I love Allah.
If I were to ask you, everybody, where
is their hands?
Yes, I love Allah.
Does Allah love me though?
I'll give
you ten, before you go home, ten أسباب
that will make you earn the love of
Allah
Ten ways.
Number one, ذِكرَ of Allah.
Try to, you know, remember or maybe take
some mental notes.
And this is الحمد لله also been recorded,
just so you know.
Ten, number one, ذِكرَ of Allah.
Two words, very light on the
tongue, very heavy on the weight, very beloved
to Ar-Rahman.
You see, ذِكرَ of Allah.
ذِكرَ of Allah will earn you the love
of Allah.
Are you with me here?
Which is better, brothers and sisters, ذِكرَ of
Allah يعني وَاللَّهُ بَكْبَيْتِينَ and بَكْبَيْتِينَ ذِكرَ of
Allah without of.
Without of.
Because sometimes you just waste your time and
energy and rewards by giving them to somebody
else.
They're taking the rewards.
They're taking and then you're just giving them
free hasanat.
You plant a tree in Jannah
and it will earn you the love of
Allah and brings you that calmness and that
serenity.
Indeed, it's the
remembrance of Allah that hearts will find peace.
We're confused, we're tired.
People are coming and complaining, Sheikh, I can't
rest, I can't rest.
Is there any medication?
I need to go see a psychiatrist, psychologist.
I need some help to go to sleep.
I'm not able to sleep.
And when you look in their lives, they
have everything.
Yet they have nothing.
They can't even go to sleep at night.
Why?
There's too much in their head.
They need to clear that which is in
their head.
The remembrance of Allah Azawajal.
Simple.
Number two.
Will earn you the love of
Allah.
The recitation of the Qur'an will earn
you the love of Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
Why I'm saying dhikr of Allah by the
way?
You see when you love something so much,
you talk about it.
You know, like you love cars so much.
The person who loves cars, constantly talking about
cars.
The one who loves stock market.
He's doing so much research about stocks and
then he talks about, you know what's happening
now, you know Tesla, you know this, you
know that, you know Amazon.
He knows about them all.
The top, the down, it's gonna go down,
it's gonna go up.
This is all he talks about because he
loves stocks so much.
Those who love women, talk about women.
Those who love men, they don't talk about
men.
And I don't blame them.
Those who love clothing, they talk about clothing.
Those who love whatever, you know, subhanAllah.
This is why when you love Allah, make
dhikr of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Dhikr of Allah azza wa jalla.
Reciting the Qur'an.
Number three, tawbah will make you earn the
love of Allah.
Allah loves those who seek repentance from Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Istighfar, seeking istighfar, forgiveness from Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala.
At-tahara, purification.
Wallahu yuhibbu al-mutatahireen.
What kind of purification by the way?
The inner and the outer.
There are two types of purification here.
Al-batiniyyah wal-kharijiyyah.
Al-batiniyyah, the inner purification.
Through tawheed of Allah.
The oneness of Allah.
This is the purification.
Taking out shirk from your heart.
Not worshipping anything other than Allah.
When your boss says, don't go for Jum
'ah because Jum'ah is our meeting at
12 o'clock.
12 o'clock is the team meeting on
Friday.
And 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock
is your Jum'ah.
Oh, so that which you choose, what your
boss says, yes Sheikh, yeah, because I'm going
to lose my job.
Or that which Allah says,
Allah says, leave business, leave the trade
and go to Jum'ah.
You see?
How sometimes we love others more than Allah
and we claim, I love Allah, Allah understands.
Ayy.
Charity will earn you the love of Allah.
How many did I share with you now
so far?
Four, this is number five.
Charity, Al-Kalam, generosity.
Yes?
This is what the Prophet Muhammad used to
give charity.
It will earn you the love of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
الحياء, chastity.
It's a beautiful attribute loved by Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
You know حياء?
Modesty.
الحياء, modesty.
Where is it today?
Women, our women, our girls out there.
I'm talking about Muslims, I'm not talking about
non-Muslims.
Even with boys, the way they dress, the
way they talk, the way...
Even in social media, they're coming up with
these...
I say, what is the حياء?
Is a hijabi dancing, hijabi punching something, hijabi
doing some exercises.
Everything now, it's about the trend and getting
what they call the buzz.
I wanna get the buzz.
It's a drug.
It's a drug.
الحياء, chastity, modesty.
Number seven, قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ will earn you the
love of Allah.
Three more.
Why the Prophet Muhammad used to love
Praying at night.
The Prophet says, the most
beloved Salah in the eyes of Allah after
the Fara'id is the night prayer, قِيَامَ
Anything that you pray now after Isha will
be considered قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ, just so you know.
Anything you pray from now until Fajr, it's
considered قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ.
That also will brighten your face and earn
you the love of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta
'ala.
Number eight, الإحسان, excellence.
إحسان, anything that you do, do it with
Don't cut corners.
Allah loves a person when he does
something, an action, he should perfect it.
We're Muslims, we don't cut corners, we don't
cheat.
Number eight.
Number nine, helping others, serving others will earn
you the love of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta
'ala.
The Prophet was asked, the most beloved actions
in the Salah of Allah.
Bringing a smile in the face of your
brother or sister.
Filling their bellies when they're angry, paying off
their debts if you can.
These are all actions that will earn you
the love of Allah.
Yeah, you may say it's hard, but in
return, the love of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta
'ala.
And last but not least, there's so many,
but I'm giving you ten.
الرِّفْق, gentleness.
Kindness and gentleness.
Being gentle in things with your friends, with
your neighbors, with your family, with your wife,
with your kids.
It comes from the name of Allah,
You know, in old we say
Right, رَفِيق.
In Saudi Arabia, you know, they call, you
know, maybe there's non-Arabs, رَفِيق رَفِيق.
In old we say
صاحب, it comes from صاحب.
So رَفِيق means like a friend.
But also it comes from رِفْق.
رِفْق comes from, you know, it means gentleness.
Being gentle.
Versus being harsh.
Even here, brothers and sisters, now we'll end
with this inshallah wa ta'ala.
Even people.
You don't like to acquaint yourself with those
who are rude and harsh.
You'll try to avoid them.
And somebody who's smiling and lovely and very
lovely person, you will try to, you will
go and say salam, and you will want
to be, even in salah you will try
to pray next to them, you know.
But that who creates problems, you always try
to avoid.
SubhanAllah, رِفْق, gentleness, kindness.
That's what Allah loves, subhanahu wa ta'ala.
And then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala moves
to another amazing ayah.
Then talks about dhulm.
finished.
You think you're strong?
You think you're powerful?
القوة, which is strength and might, belongs only
to Allah.
Be careful not to use your power to
abuse others.
Because you think you're stronger.
You think you've got muscles.
So you flex your muscles against the masakim.
Allah, today somebody shared a video with me
about some lady who came out screaming at
someone and then one guy came out and
says, please don't scream at my wife.
And she's there, she's screaming.
Then she slapped him.
Did you see that one?
When he slapped her on the head?
No, no, no.
He says, karma, they say, karma, what goes
around comes around.
You think you're strong?
There's somebody who's stronger than you on this
earth.
But there's Allah Al-Qawiyy, Al-Mateen.
In the Qur'an, when you read in
the Qur'an, oftentimes Al-Qawiyy comes with
Al-Mateen.
Qawiyy, Mateen.
What does that mean?
We'll talk about that next week insha'Allah.
Next week we'll talk about this other ayah
and about the punishment of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala that he has prepared for this
type of people who, subhanAllah, abuse others and
commit dhulm against others.
I have some tea.
Please come and share tea with me before
you go.
What is the difference between Qiyam al-Layl
and Surah Al-Akhir after Isha?
The question is the Qiyam al-Layl in
the third of the night.
Arabic or English?
Arabic.
The difference between Qiyam al-Layl is that
any prayer after Isha is considered Qiyam al
-Layl or Tahajjud.
Tahajjud.
But the best Qiyam al-Layl is the
prayer in the last third of the night
when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala descends to
the world in a way of His Glory
and calls those who call upon Him, I
answer them.
Those who ask for forgiveness, I forgive them.
Those who ask me, I give them.
So any prayer after Isha is considered Qiyam
al-Layl because you did Qiyam al-Layl.
So any prayer that is in fact after
Isha is considered to be Qiyam al-Layl.
But the best Qiyam al-Layl is the
one that happens after the last third of
the night.
So you go to sleep and then you
wake up a moment before Fajr to pray
whatever you can pray.
That's the best Qiyam al-Layl.
Why?
Because Allah comes down in a way that
befits Him.
Allah, Allah.
He comes down in a way that befits
His Majesty.
Who's asking me, I will answer him.
Who's seeking forgiveness, I will forgive him.
So he's telling you, come, come, yallah, get
up and ask me, I will give you.
What do you want?
Don't go to him, he can give you.
I give you, just get up.
But you can't get up.
Why?
Because you spent the whole night on your
phone and you went to sleep at 2,
3 o'clock in the morning.
How can you get up and pray before
Fajr?
It's so hard now.
So you missed a great opportunity.
Allah telling you, ya flan, imagine if I
were to come to your neighborhood, my brother,
and tell you, listen, you know the, I
know your neighbors, all of them, they have
some needs and wants.
So I'm coming along with the Prime Minister
and the Mayor and all and we're going
to answer every neighbor and fulfill exactly what
they want.
But we're coming at 4 o'clock in
the morning.
We're gonna come, anybody who has debts, we'll
take care of it.
Anybody who has any problems, we'll solve it.
Anybody who needs some medical help, we'll help
him.
Are you following me or no?
But we're coming at 4 o'clock in
the morning.
Would you go to sleep that night?
You're going to be waiting because your needs
will be met at 4 a.m. Every
night Allah is telling you, who's asking, I
shall give.
Who wants forgiveness, I shall forgive.
But you're sleeping.
So somebody who prayed, you know, Qiyam al
-Layl, and then he prayed Iwtadam, right?
And then he went to sleep.
And then he woke up.
And he still has a couple of hours
before Fajr.
Can he go back and pray again?
Yes, they can go back and pray, but
with no Iwtadam.
They have done their Iwtadam.
They can pray 2 rak'ahs, 4 rak
'ahs, 6 rak'ahs, whatever they can pray
without having to pray Iwtadam because there is
no Iwtadam.
There is no 2 Iwtadam in one evening
because if you pray 2 Iwtadam, it will
become Shafaa.
But if he wakes up an hour before
and let's say Fajr is like 15 minutes
and then he prays Iwtadam, is it still
okay?
The best is to pray Iwtadam at the
end before Fajr.
That's the best.
To leave it, not after Isha.
After Isha you pray Sunnah, then you leave
Iwtadam until the end.
That is the best.
But if you cannot guarantee you're going to
be able to wake up before Fajr, pray
Iwtadam and go to sleep.
If you wake up, Alhamdulillah, The
niyyah, what niyyah?
For what?
You see, the niyyah is in the heart.
The niyyah means the intention.
The intention results in the heart.
Please, please, please, I will have the tea
here.
Don't go until you drink your tea.
And those who are online, how can we
do it?
The niyyah is in the heart.
So you don't have to utter the words
because Allah already knows that you got up
and then you go in there to make
wudu.
For what, man?
What did you get up to make wudu?
You go dancing, partying, what are you doing?
You're going to pray.
I'm getting up to eat suhoor.
Why?
Why?
I just got up to eat suhoor.
Why are you eating suhoor?
Because you're going to fast.
So the intention is built in already.
I don't have to say, it's not from
the sunnah.
Because the intention is already there.
You got up to pray, to do qiyam.
You got up to make wudu.
You got up to eat suhoor.
So you already eat.
And the ulema, they said, there's only one
intention that people utter is the intention of
hajj.
Although, no, even that, it's not an intention.
That is like you're announcing the rituals.
You're announcing the nusuk.
When you go to Mecca and then you
pass by the miqat from Medina, let's say,
you say, so there, it is not the
intention.
It's the announcement of the type of nusuk
or rituals that you're doing.
Right?
Although the intention is already, you book a
flight.
You bought a package coming all the way
from Canada all the way to Saudi Arabia.
So that you can, why?
You're going tourism?
No, you're going to perform hajj.
So it's already there.
But then you pass by the miqat, which
is that physical area that the Prophet has
appointed so that you can announce the ritual.
So the niyyah is in the heart.
You don't have to announce it.
Although the same, some claim that the shafi
'i madhhab, they announce the salah.
So they come in before the salah, they
say, This is not from the sunnah.
I'm intending to pray four raka'at, salat
ad-dhuhr.
You're already sitting there with all these people
praying salat ad-dhuhr, man.
Why do you have to say astaghfirullah?
It's not from the sunnah.
Yes.
Salat ad-dhuhr, if it's really time to
pray, what's the reason?
As we said, if you pray ad-dhuhr,
and you wake up at night, for example,
and you still have time, you can pray
two raka'at or pray raka'at, but
without praying ad-dhuhr again.
Because you prayed ad-dhuhr before.
So don't pray two ad-dhuhr.
If you pray ad-dhuhr, What is the
name of the prayer?
Qiyam al-layl.
Qiyam al-layl, or tahajjud, anything after Salat
al-Isha'il, we say Qiyam al-layl.
Or tahajjud.
Yes.
Yes.
Okay, the sunnah, the intention of the of
the nafl fasting, it's in the heart again.
So you intend to fast Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
White days.
You fast them.
So you don't have to, at night, I'm
intending to fast tomorrow, to mention it, to
utter it.
You don't have to say that.
Yeah, yeah.
So to make the intention in your heart,
I'm fasting tomorrow plus the sunnah, the white
days, right?
So it's all in your heart.
And Allah knows what it is.
You don't have to utter it.
That's what I'm saying.
Hajj from Canada.ca Hajj from one word.
Hajj from Canada.ca Because I go with
them.
So we'll see you next week, inshallah, to
carry on this beautiful series.
Barakallahu feekum.
Jazakumullahu khair.
