We should be able to finish.
How long did we start this for now?
It's 20 lectures.
Each week, one lecture.
20 lectures, if I remember.
This is my, according to my notes, according
to my notes, I have today will be
21.
More than 20 weeks.
No, wait.
Months?
No, no, no.
There's a lot more because I went for
Hajj and we still, and there were some
more.
So I think it's been almost less than
a year?
Or is it about a year?
Because we, huh?
Since November of last year.
End of November of last year.
Subhanallah.
So we're almost November, almost one year.
And we're going to be, inshallah, try to
finish the first juz' of Surah of Al
-Qur'an, Surah Al-Baqarah.
Yalla ustad.
This is where we're going to start from.
We miss you.
And here the Arabs, I will have a
question for them because Allah is saying here,
when Allah, Azza wa Jal, He mentions Ibrahim
and Ismail.
And then when He talks about Musa and
Isa, He says, Why?
Fadlash.
Fadlash.
Fadlash.

Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala will raise your
status in this world and in the hereafter.
We are still with Surah Al-Baqarah.
We call it also as the Prophet peace
be upon him named it Al-Barakah.
Surah filled with or full of blessings.
Surah Al-Baqarah.
If you were to recite it at your
home, no shaytan will approach your home for
three days.
Surah Al-Baqarah is that surah that burns
the shaytan, the jinn.
And we are still talking about the Bani
Israel.
And the history and what happened with Musa
Alayhi Salam and so on.
So Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala says, Now
the address is to the believers.
Say O believers, Here let's pause.
Say O you believers, Say that we believe.
Iman.
Iman is what?
Let's define Iman first and foremost.
Iman is here.
It's not sufficient just to act like a
believer.
But you have to say I'm a believer.
As Allah Subhana wa Ta'ala says here.
I'm a mu'min.
When they ask you, I'm a mu'min.
I'm a believer.
So this is the first definition of Iman.
But that's not sufficient either just to say
I'm a mu'min.
Because even the hypocrites they say we're mu'mins.
So what distinguishes us between us and the
others is, We say that we're believers.
It's also something that you have to believe
in by heart.
I believe I'm a mu'min.
But then my belief has to be converted
into action.
So my actions have to portray that I
am a believer.
Through my salah.
Through my coming to the masjid.
Through my siyam.
Through my recitation of the Quran.
Through my sadaqah.
So this is all is the definition of
Iman.
Iman is not something just that you say
by word.
Otherwise, the hypocrites, they said they were believers.
And it's something that has to be shown
through actions.
Shaytan, in social actions.
Hypocrites, they claimed but their hearts showed otherwise.
They even came to salah, the hypocrites.
At the time of the part of Islam.
And they went, participated in some battles.
Like the battle of Uhud.
But then they drew back.
So say we believe.
Iman.
And Iman also has pillars.
You know you have pillars of Islam.
The pillars of Islam are five, right?
You guys, right?
We're Muslims, aren't we?
So it's five pillars.
But what are the pillars of Iman?
There are six.
A lot of people sometimes they confuse the
pillars of Iman.
Pillars of Islam and pillars of Iman.
Pillars of Islam are known.
Shahada, salah, siyam, and so on.
Five.
But the pillars of Iman.
You cannot be a mu'min and it's because
this why I'm saying this.
Because it's very important to explain what's to
come in the next ayah.
Say we believe.
And then Allah Azza wa Jalla will say
here because there will be some question with
regard.
We believe in Ibrahim and Ismail.
There's no distinction between them.
But then Allah Azza wa Jalla in another
ayah said, Here Allah comes to another ayah.
Those are the prophets.
There is a distinction.
One ayah says there's no distinction.
And another ayah says, no there is.
So how can we meet the delta?
So we need to understand this.
Iman has arkan.
The arkan of Iman.
Boys, what are the arkan?
What are the pillars of Iman?
The books.
What books my friend?
The book of Buddha.
Is that a book?
The book of The divine books.
Right?
The messengers.
The day of judgement.
The decree.
It's good and bad.
Everything comes from Allah.
The good and bad, everything comes from Allah.
This is called the qadar or the decree.
So these are the pillars of Iman.
You can't just say I'm a mu'min unless
you believe in this.
You believe in Allah, yes.
In the prophet, I believe in Allah.
Because there is a sect called Al-Quraniyoon.
You know that?
There's a sect called Al-Quraniyoon.
They only believe in the Quran, they don't
believe in the sunnah.
Because they say or they claim, No, the
sunnah, there have been so many hadith which
were falsified and this and what not.
No, no, no, you're not a mu'min unless
you believe in these six pillars.
By the way, where did we get this
from?
Did I make it up?
No.
Not from the Quran.
No.
Hadith Jibreel.
Which is in Bukhari.
Hadith Jibreel when he came and he was
Umar bin Khattab when he says, A man
came, which we've never seen before.
But he did not look like he was
a traveler.
And then he asked the prophet these specific
questions.
He asked him, Ya Muhammad, What is Islam?
And then the prophet told him about Islam.
He says, Yes, you spoke the truth.
What is Iman?
And then the prophet told him there are
six pillars of Iman.
Right?
So the sunnah complements the Quran.
Ibn Taymi Rahmatullah Ali says, He
says that the Quran needs the sunnah more
than the sunnah needs the Quran.
Why?
Because the sunnah explains the Quran.
The Quran doesn't tell you how to make
hajj.
There are certain rituals, but the exact rituals,
what to do and what to say, no.
The Quran doesn't tell you the salah.
You know, so where do we find this?
In the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam.
And this also, Iman has branches.
70 odd branches.
The highest is La ilaha illallah.
Do you know what's the lowest branch of
Iman?
You see, today, normally I don't do this,
right?
Today is an adult program for the adults.
But who knows the lowest level of Iman?
He said it first.
That you remove something harmful from the way.
Right?
You walk in.
Please, please, sometimes we don't pay attention to
these things.
You could just be walking in the parking
lot.
You're walking in the forest.
You're walking anywhere.
Then you find something harmful on the way.
Some debris, some glass, some broken glass.
That could harm a human being.
Or even an animal.
And you remove it from people's way.
That is the lowest level of Iman.
You will get ajar on that.
So these are the definition of Iman.
The branches of Iman.
The pillars of Iman.
Say, amanna billah.
Here, unzila.
Unzila means, when you say nazal.
Nazal in Arabic means, come down.
Nazala.
Or unzala.
Or nazala.
Okay.
What's the difference between nazala and unzala?
Nazala.
Nazala and unzala.
Nazala bi saigatil mubalagha.
Naza mubalagha.
There's a shada in it.
There's an emphasis.
Wa nazanna minassama.
You know.
Tatanazzalul malaikatu warroohu feeha.
The day of Al-Qadr.
Allah did not say, tanzalul malaika.
Allah says, tatanazzal bi saigatil mubalagha.
Why?
Because the angels that descend on the day
of the power, the night of Al-Qadr,
is more than, even they said, more than
the pebbles of the earth.
More than the stars in the sky.
Tatanazzal.
So here Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
Qulu amanna wa ma unzila ilayna wa ma
unzila ila Ibrahim wa Ismail.
That was what was revealed.
Here it means that was revealed.
Ila Ibrahim, Allah mentions them by name.
Special people.
Ibrahim and his son Ismail, and his son
Ishaq, and his son Yaqub.
So the grand grand grand grandchildren.
Wal asbat.
The sabat.
Who are they?
All the descendants of Yaqub.
Now comes all the prophets.
Wal asbat.
All the descendants.
Those that came after, after we know Yaqub.
Wal asbat.
And then Allah says, wa ma ootiya Musa
wa Isa.
Allah says, wa anzala wa ma unzila ilayna.
But then when he comes to Musa and
Isa, he says, and that which was given
to Musa and Isa.
Why?
What's the difference between al-inzal wa al
-ita?
Did you see how it is in Arabic?
Ah.
It was given.
Al-alwah.
Al-alwah was given.
The whole Torah.
That was all given.
That was written in the alwah and was
given, handed.
Handed to Musa.
Wa ma ootiya Musa.
But Isa.
There is something here about Musa and Isa.
Wal asbat.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala says.
So here is this mulahada.
Musa wa Isa.
Udmija Musa ma Isa.
There is about 1,000 years between Musa
and Isa.
But in this ayah, wa ma ootiya Musa
wa Isa.
So there was a conjunction here between the
mention of both, Musa and Isa together, indicates
something.
What does it indicate?
It indicates the unity of their message.
Wal as the others, Allah says, anzala ala
Ibrahim, anzala ala Ismail, anzala.
But for Musa and Ibra and Isa, it
indicates the unity of both, the message.
They call the Old Testament and the New
Testament.
Then they say that.
The Bible and the Torah before it.
The Torah is the Old Testament.
And the New Testament is, I mean, I'm
sorry.
The Torah is the Old and the Bible
is the New Testament.
So Allah mentions them together as the message
is unified.
Musa and Isa.
Musa came to complete or Isa came to
complete what Musa did with Banu Israel.
la nufarriq bayna ahadin minhum.
This is something interesting.
Allah Azza wa Jalla in the same ayah,
when he says, and we do not, we
make no distinction between any of them and
to Allah we submit.
We do not make any distinction.
la nufarriq bayna ahadin minhum.
But Allah Azza wa Jalla in Surah Baqarah
at the end, Allah says, tilkal rusul faddanna
ba'dahum ala ba'd.
At-tafriq ghayr at-tafdeel.
At-tafriq ghayr at-tafdeel.
Distinction is not the same as preference.
Allah says, la nufarriq bayna ahadin minhum.
This is Ibrahim, we believe in Ibrahim.
This is Nuh, we believe in Nuh.
This is Ismail, we believe in Ismail.
Hadha Yaqub, we believe in Yaqub as we
believers.
Hadha Musa, we believe in Musa.
Hadha Isa, we believe in Isa.
This is no, la nufarriq.
There is no distinction between this prophet and
that prophet.
But the other ayah talks about the favoring
or the preference of a prophet over a
prophet.
Allah spoke to Musa alayhis salam.
Allah befriended Ibrahim.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala loved Prophet Muhammad
salallahu alayhi wa sallam Habibullah, wakalimullah, wahabibullah,
wakalimullah.
Right?
Allah azawajal favored the five ulul izm, ulul
izm, the five of them.
But Allah subhana wa ta'ala favored Prophet
Muhammad salallahu alayhi wa sallam and He made
him the seal of all prophets.
So, naam, Allah azawajal, we do not distinguish
between this prophet and that prophet because they're
all prophets for you and I as believers,
these all are prophets.
But with regards to the prophets themselves, Allah
favored some over others.
So here is the answer to these particular
two ayat.
We Muslims, Ibrahim is a Muslim.
So is Ismail.
So is Ishaq and Yaqub and al-Asbaat
and Sabat and Musa and Isa.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala says, and if
they believe in what you believe in, ya
Muhammad, indeed they will be rightly guided.
Which means here, if the Jews believe in
what you believe in, they shall be rightly
guided.
If the Christians believe in what you believe
in, they shall be rightly guided.
If the mushrikeen, they believe in what you
believe in, they shall rightly be guided.
فَإِنْ آمَنُوا بِمِتْلِ مَا آمَنْتُ بِي فَقَدْ يَهْتَدَوْا
Clearly from Allah subhana wa ta'ala says,
فَقَدْ And then Allah azza wa jalla says,
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ Remember this ayah.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
But if they turn away, فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا They
don't want to believe.
تَوَلَّوْا Today it's Moroccan-Pakistani.
Yes.
I forgot to make it.
Uncle went and make it.
So I don't know how it will turn
out.
In sha Allah it will turn out great.
It's Moroccan but made by Pakistani uncle.
So in sha Allah it will be amazing.
In sha Allah.
رَبِّ سَلِّمْ رَبِّ سَلِّمْ رَبِّ سَلِّمْ Because if
it's wrong, I did not make it.
If it's right, I gave him the instructions
on how to make it.
In sha Allah.
If they turn away, Allah subhana wa ta
'ala فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ I remember whenever
we used to go out when we were
kids.
We were to go out, you know, school
or whatever, whatever.
The mother always says, فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ Allah will
take care of you.
You know if they, Allah azza wa jal,
if they turn away, Allah azza wa jal
will spare you with their evil.
If they aim to harm you, Allah will
take care of them.
يا محمد إِفْتَوَلَّوْا If they turn away, فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ
اللَّهُ And here it came, فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ when
the Prophet Muhammad was called by the Jews
at the time in Medina.
And then the Prophet Muhammad was sitting with
Abu Bakr.
And the Jews, they got together and they
يَمْكُرُونَ They plotted to kill Prophet Muhammad.
So they went up into one of the
roofs and they were about to throw a
rock at him to kill him.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِعُ الْعَلِيمُ And here the
beautiful, like we said last week, the names
of Allah when they end in a particular
ayah, Allah did not just, you know, choose
names just in vain.
Every name is particularly, you know, meticulously chosen.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ Allah Azza wa Jal will take
care of them.
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will spare you
any of their, you know, evil, Ya Muhammad.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِعُ الْعَلِيمُ He is the
All-Hearing and He is the All-Seeing.
He hears what they say and He sees
what they do.
All-Hearing goes oftentimes with All-Knowing.
Have you noticed in the Quran?
Oftentimes.
All-Hearing, All-Knowing, they go together.
All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
I'm sorry, All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Here, sometimes when it's used, like when the
Shaytan, with the whispers, with the Shaytan, Allah
says All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
When He talks about man, He says سَمِعْ
بَصِيرْ All-Seeing, All-Hearing versus All-Hearing,
All-Knowing.
عَلِيمْ Knowing.
But with humans, سَمِعْ بَصِيرْ All-Seeing.
Oh, this is
interesting.
فَإِنَّمَا هُمْ فِي شِقَاقٍ هُمْ فِي شَقٍ وَنَحْنُ
فِي شِقٍ شِقَاق means a division.
It means a discord.
As Allah SWT says فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقًا بَيْنِهُمَا
فَبَعَثُوا حَكَمَ الْمِيَهْنِهَا وَحَكَمَ الْمِيَهْنِهَا If there is
a discord between a husband and a wife
so before divorce, let her bring a person
from her end and let them bring him
and bring a person from their end to
try to find some sort of mutual agreement.
فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقًا شِقَاق means there is a
conflict between them here.
So Allah SWT or Allah says وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ
اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ شِق يعني a person who chose
a way different than the ways of Allah
SWT So Allah says here فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوا فَإِنَّمَا
هُمْ فِي شِقَاقٍ If they turn back, they
are in a conflict, they are in a
division لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَلْيَدِينَ They have their path
and we have ours شِق شِق شِقاق And
then Allah says فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِعَنِي And
Allah SWT says
This is the natural way of Allah SWT
الصِّبْغَةَ here means Tawheed الصِّبْغَةَ here means Islam
الصِّبْغَةَ here means Fitrah Fitrah as you may
say in Urdu The natural Fitrah The natural
inclination Everybody is born with the Fitrah The
Fitrah is we all submit to Allah SWT
A newborn baby is born upon the Fitrah
We talked about the Fitrah last week If
you remember The Fitrah is the خِيْتَان is
Fitrah خِيْتَان the circumcision is Fitrah Letting the
beard grow and trimming the moustache is from
the Fitrah Combing the hair is from the
Fitrah Clipping the
nails is from the Fitrah Shaving the armpit
and shaving the private parts is from the
Fitrah Why is it the Fitrah of the
circumcision?
The very first person who did that Ibrahim
AS He brought an axe He was 16
years old He was 16 years old And
then when the order came to circumcise himself
He didn't have no one to circumcise him
He did it on his own He brought
an axe And he cut that extra skin
It's from the Fitrah So Allah SWT says
صِبْغَةَ الله صِبْغَةَ الله Is there anything better
than the Fitrah of Allah?
Is there anything better than the way of
Allah?
That you don't feel anyone except Allah?
That you don't ask anyone These people, they
don't They follow, they have so many ways
Things that don't go based on their whims
and desires No, they don't follow We follow
whatever comes from Allah SWT And whatever direction
comes from the Prophet Muhammad SAW So there
is no, we don't have no يَا صَحَبَيِّ
السِّجْنِ As Yusuf said to those companions of
the jail يَا صَحَبَيِّ السِّجْنِ أَا أَرْبَامٌ مُتَفَرِقُونَ
خَيْرٌ أَمِنُ لَهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَارُ Remember when I
told you When I went to Malaysia And
then I went to this You know the
That mount I forgot Batu Mount In Malaysia
And then And then on top of that
mount There is inside There is a cave
Batu Cave it's called And in there there
is these Hindu Gods and goddesses and what
not نعم In the Muslim country But you
know Malaysia is of three segments The Muslims
The Hindus And then you have the Indians
as well The Chinese and the Malay Right
So they have this cave On top of
this mountain And inside the cave There is
like bunch of you know Goddess and goddesses
and what not So I spoke to this
guy He is one of their Whatever This
guy within things He says yes This is
the god of rain This is the god
of the sun This is the god of
Food This is the god of this This
is the god of that Over a thousand
gods Yusuf a.s. says يا صحبه السجن
Oh my companions of the prison أرباب Too
many gods متفرقون This god says I want
to rain This other god says I want
to sun I want to shine يا صحبه
السجن أرباب خير Which is better Too many
gods Having a disagreement amongst them Or there
is one god الواحد القهار So here The
صبغة صبغة الله ومن أحزن من الله صبغة
الله Allah says Which is better than the
way of Allah Is there anything better than
the way of Allah No When we ask
We only ask Allah I feel I feel
no one other than Allah When I make
توكل I make توكل on Allah When I
rely I rely on Allah You may rely
on people sometimes But when you rely truly
You rely on Allah Then so and so
You don't say I rely on Allah and
you This is very very important by the
way Don't tell your friend Hey I count
on you Is that wrong You count on
Allah First and foremost Then you Not you
And you If you say and you What
does that mean Shirk You and Allah No
I count on Allah I rely on Allah
First and foremost Then you For taking care
of that When you ask You ask Allah
When you make sujood How many gods do
I have to make sujood to I make
sujood to only one god This is the
The The The The Singling out Allah subhana
wa ta'ala In his ibadah Qul ya
muhammad Ya muhammad tell them Atuhajoonana fillah wa
huwa rabbuna wa rabbukum wa lana a'maluna wa
lakum a'malukum wa nahnu lahu muhlisoon Ya muhammad
tell them Atuhajoonana Say Would you dispute us
You come to dispute me With fillah In
Allah You know With us about Allah When
you have your lord And Wa huwa rabbuna
wa rabbukum He is our lord And your
lord And our lord Wa lakin the prophet
Allah says Wa lana a'maluna wa lakum a'malukum
We have We are accountable for our deeds
And you are accountable for your deeds I
don't go to To a priest To do
what is that called When you Confess I
don't do that If there is any confession
I go straight to Allah I don't even
go to Rasulullah salallahu alayhi wa sallam Which
is shirk Ya Rasulullah Madad madad Ya la
wala madad wala Madad means asking for For
help You ask help from Allah When you
ask Ask Allah When you seek refuge From
you seek refuge in Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala Atuhajoona fillah You say Isa is the
son of Allah The son of God And
you say Uzair is the son of God
And some of the Muslims They say The
person who is in the grave Can benefit
That person who is in the grave Can
benefit And the person in the grave Who
is a saint They claim So they claim
Can harm Ya fulan Ya illan I'm not
just talking about The non-believers They claim
Atuhajoona fillah Are you disputing us over You
know Allah And he is our lord And
your lord He created us He provided us
Razaqana wa razaqakum Khalaqana wa khalaqakum He created
us Afana wa afakum Shafana wa shafakum What
did Ibrahim say When he got sick Walladihua
yutaimuni wa yasqeen Wa idha marittu Fa anta
tashfini Fahuwa yashfeen It's Allah Alladhi yataimuni wa
yasqeen It is not your boss Who gives
you food Allah Let's clear this up Very
important Do you think your boss Because sometimes
You may do something haram Just to please
your boss Because you think he is the
one Who gives you the paycheck He will
give you the paycheck Regardless But he is
not the one Who feeds you He is
not the one Who puts food on your
table Ar-razaq is Allah Fahuwa yutaimuni As
Ibrahim says Yutaimuni wa yasqeen The one who
gives me food And sustenance Is Allah Wa
idha marittu And when I get sick It
is not the doctor Who will give me
shifa It is Allah Who gives me shifa
Okay The next time I get sick I'm
just going to stay home And ask Allah
Allah Ah You misunderstood That's not what I
said either You go to the doctor But
don't trust That the doctor Will give you
shifa You trust that This doctor Allah subhana
wa ta'ala Will make him a mean
For him To understand The type of maybe
Symptoms I have To prescribe The right medication
So many times You go to the doctor
He gives you It does not work For
you And he gives He is not the
one Who gives shifa The one who gives
shifa The cure Is Please tell me The
one who gives shifa Is Allah He is
the one Who gives me shifa Subhanahu wa
ta'ala This is why his name is
Ash-Shafi The name of Allah Ash-Shafi
subhanahu wa ta'ala We have our righteous
deeds You non-believers You have your Spoiled
Rotten deeds And we are sincere In his
ibadah When we pray to him And supplicate
to him We pray to him sincerely With
devotion Subhanahu wa ta'ala Now they are
saying again Let's go and count them Ibrahim
again Ismail again Ishaq again The son The
father The grandson The grandfather The great great
grandfather You know Ibrahim Ismail The father of
Ishaq The father of Yaqub Who are the
asbab?
All the descendants That come after Yaqub Now
they are claiming again By Israel They say
They were Yahud The ansar The Christians They
say No no no They were not Yahud
They were Christians These people they claim Who
claims?
The Jews they claim That Ibrahim Ismail Ishaq
Yaqub And all the descendants They were the
Yahud The Christians they claim No no no
no Ibrahim wasn't Ibrahim and Ismail And Ishaq
And Yaqub And the descendants They were Christians
Who knows?
Tell them Muhammad Tell them Who knows?
Better You or Allah?
You or Allah?
You?
No you don't Allah yes Allah told us
Allah tells us Ibrahim was not Yahudi or
Nasrani So it is you who know Who
Allah knows Allah knows Subhanahu wa ta'ala
It is not you He claims something He
claims something So who is right here?
Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Right?
In the day of judgment They come together
Christians and the Jews You say that Ibrahim
was a Muslim Yeah I was Yahudi Those
they say Ibrahim was A Christian So in
the day of judgment They will come Somebody
is wrong And somebody is right Let's say
Let's just let's say There are two Someone
is wrong And someone is right So who's
going to go to * fire Who's going
to go to Jannah?
We follow what Allah says Allah says no
no no They were neither this Neither that
Ibrahim was Muwhid Ibrahim submitted himself to Allah
He was Muwhid Let's just You don't want
to see Muslim Okay He was Muwhid Because
Islam means to submit to Allah Subhanahu wa
ta'ala Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala says And who's wrong?
Or who's more wrong Than those who Made
the testimony They received from Allah Or they
hide Their testimony Shahada He has a testimony
But he hid his testimony Why did you
hide it?
Can't you just say that you're a Muslim?
No They know the truth But they're hiding
It's in their books It's in the Torah
It's in the Bible The true Bible It's
written there Muhammad Ahmed The one The true
version of the Bible Which is in the
Actual Rome What is that called?
Vatican They wouldn't show it to you Why?
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying
Who is worse than those who are hiding
their testimony?
A sister Okay, it's okay then If it's
this case When a sister calls to tell
you I may have shared this with you
Sheikh, is it okay to pray in the
washroom?
No But she says I'm hiding my faith
Because I come from a Hindu background If
they know I'm a Muslim They will kill
me And I live with my parents In
one bedroom apartment Studio We don't have a
bedroom It's one We have washroom The only
place where I can go Not in the
presence of my family Is in the washroom
So now Can I pray inside the washroom?
So when you People like a person Who
came to embrace Islam last week I have
a film in my office May Allah bless
him 18 years old My mother is a
Russian Orthodox Jew And my father was a
Palestinian Jewish So I embrace Islam So Sheikh,
I'm 18 So what should I do now?
If I tell them It's going to be
a mess For sure, I know These are
not just like any Any Jew Or any
Christian Or whatever These are the The most
Extreme Part of the When you talk about
Judaism and Christianity So the guy He may
So now Can I hide it for some
time?
Can I not tell them for some time?
Yes Yes Can I hide it for some
time?
Yes Because you want to be safe For
some time Yes, you can So This is
why When we say shahada Here To become
a Muslim You have to say something here
You have to say What do you have
to say?
No, hold on sir I'm a new Muslim
Am I Muslim?
Those two in the back there The guy
with the beautiful hair Am I Muslim?
Then you have to say You have to
testify Just say It's not sufficient To enter
the fold of Islam And then you say
La ilaha illa Allah All you want But
the entrance The admittance to Islam Is shahada
They knew your shahada video After After that
But to enter Islam I was in this
I was in this In the UK I
believe It was somewhere Sweden I was given
a lecture And there were some non-Muslims
So I was trying to tell them About
the Quran Right?
I was trying to tell them About the
Quran And then I brought a guy who
I said have you ever heard Arabic before?
He says no I said okay, let me
tell you You never heard Arabic before I'm
going to say something In Arabic And tell
me how you feel So I was just
saying Arabic Did
you understand anything?
He said no I said okay, that's version
number one And then let me tell you
Version number two Arabic You
understand this?
He says no He says this is version
number two Then here's version number three Is
that him?
Calling?
That's not him Okay And
I kept saying something like that And then
I said Version one, two and three Which
version touched your heart The most?
What did he say?
Version number three Why?
He says version number I said version number
one Is just Did you understand Arabic?
He said no So he says okay You
don't understand Arabic?
You've never heard Arabic?
He says no He says see after me
Ash hadu Ash hadu See ash hadu And
people say People were laughing You're going to
make this guy Say he's become He doesn't
even know what ash hadu So he says
version number three Just you know Version number
three is the Quran Version number two is
So subhanallah The Quran in itself So ash
hadu Shahada It has to be To testify
First that you're a Muslim And then you
can say You know La ilaha illallah As
much as you want And then Allah subhanallah
says And then comes this beauty Oh by
the way Takbir We finish the first juz
of the Quran In this ayat And the
last ayah Because this ayah We said it
last time We said it before So we
said the same ayah Because the same ayah
Is repeating itself This is a This is
an ummah This is a nation They came
Before So you can't just say I will
follow that nation No this nation came And
was followed by other nation They have their
a'mal And we have our own And you
shall not be questioned About their Their actions
Havas It's done The ummah is done And
then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Comes and
he says I want just to say this
Before I let you go Okay This particular
Can you give me It's only 8.05
Aisha said 8.30 So how about 5
-10 minutes Inshallah ta'ala And we're done
So answer the question That I mentioned earlier
What did the prophet do When he travelled
to Medina When he got to the Qibla
The foolish from the people And nas mean
Means people But what kind of people here
By the way When the Quran mentions Sufaha
The Quran clearly Has a distinction here When
it talks about sufaha Sufaha Or they said
They said Do we believe No And when
it says Do we believe As the people
believed They said Do we believe As the
foolish believed They are the foolish Hypocrites Hypocrites
You see when we Explain the Quran With
the Quran They are the foolish Safi is
the one Who Who He has the clear
path And instead of following The clear path
He follows some other path Safi Foolish So
Allah is saying Ya Muhammad They will come
to you This is one of the Prophecies
Miracles People want to ask About miracles Here
is a miracle right here What is this
miracle Muhammad Ya sallallahu alayhi wa sallam They
will come to ask you You know This
They will come And as Allah subhana wa
ta'ala Revealed the ayah Then they will
come And ask They
will say In
the future So they will say To you
oh Muhammad What made them Change their Qibla
They used to Follow the Qibla This happened
two years After the Prophet Migrated from Mecca
To Medina What happened here Here is what
happened The
Prophet Muhammad Would pray Facing the Kaaba And
facing Quds Quds is in the north So
who is You know In the Kaaba Whatever
you are If you go there Or if
you've been there You pray anywhere Right?
As long as you are In the Haram
When you are In the plaza there In
the plaza Right?
The plaza means The plaza where the Kaaba
is Whether you pray here Or you pray
there Or you pray here Or you pray
there It's all Facing the Qibla When you
go outside of the Haram You pray towards
Whatever the Haram is Like in the hotel
In the hotel Where is the Qibla The
Qibla is where the Kaaba is And when
you are outside of Mecca What do you
look for?
You look where Where Mecca is That's your
Qibla So the Prophet Muhammad Initially the Qibla
Was towards the north So he would pray
In such a way that I'm facing the
Qibla So he could pray here though On
this other end I'm facing the Qibla But
I'm facing Yemen Yemen Or I'm facing Iraq
No He would pray this side So he's
facing The Yemeni corner I mean The Yemeni
corner And the black stone But at the
same time I'm facing the north Ash-Sham
At the time Ash-Sham This was before
the Hijrah This was before the Hijrah After
the Hijrah Now we have a dilemma What
is the dilemma?
The Qibla hasn't changed yet And Prophet Muhammad
Now his heart is Towards Mecca Always And
then if we were to Change the Qibla
What would these people say?
Especially the Jews Is it a game?
Is this Islam a game?
Today you pray here Tomorrow you pray there
So there was this Concern But Prophet Muhammad
His heart was always towards I want the
Qibla to be Mecca He
used to combine The two Qibla What do
I mean the two Qibla?
The Mecca and Baytul Maqdis So he used
to combine Between them By praying behind Right?
So when he went to Medina That was
the dilemma How should I do?
So Prophet Muhammad Used to do this He
would Stand Here's the Qibla Here's Mecca Are
you with me?
Yes or yes?
This is south North is this way So
that means Palestine is Where's Palestine?
Where's the north man?
Come on guys The north is behind me
So Prophet Muhammad Will do something like this
I'm facing the Qibla This is in Medina
So he will face Al Maqdis And say
Allahu Akbar To face the Qibla So Allah
Subhanahu wa ta'ala Will reveal the ayat
So he used to do that For a
couple of years After he made Guiding to
Medina Two years The first year of the
Hijra And the second year Of the Hijra
Until the Rajab Rajab The second year of
the Hijra Then the Prophet Muhammad As he
was praying In this Masjid Called Masjid Muad
Who was with me here Last Saturday?
Saturday after Fajr Last Saturday praying Fajr Remember
when you said Muad used to pray Salatul
Isha With the Prophet?
With the Prophet And then he would go
home Far Where far?
Masjid Al Qiblatain In Medina Who's been in
Medina before?
Who's been in Medina?
Medina Masjid The two Qibla Mosque The two
Qibla Mosque Is also Is the name after
Muad Muad is the Sahabi That was his
area He used to live there So Muad
would pray With the Prophet Isha And then
he would go back All the way Qibla
The two Qibla Mosque Is pretty far And
then he would go And lead the prayers
So the Prophet was praying there Was praying
there Asr it was said And then the
Sahabi Were behind him In the middle of
the Salat The Prophet turned And the Sahabi
They turned back With him Facing The South
That's in the middle Of the Salat As
he was praying Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
Revealed We see How your face You turned
Medina Into Al-Quds And then you say
Allahu akbar And then you face Allah says
He knows We see that How your face
changes As you're turning Towards As you're facing
The North And then you turn Towards Al
-Bayt Al-Haram From now on The Qibla
has been Officially changed To The South Ya
Muhammad You know what's gonna happen The Sufaa
will come The Sufaa will come And they
will tell you The Sufaa means the foolish
They will come And they will tell you
What made this happen Before they came They
will come and ask What is this game
man Because the Prophet Prayed in Masjid Al
-Qibla It's always called The two Qibla Mosque
In Medina So the rumors spread All the
way to Medina What happened What happened The
Qibla changed Towards what Towards the South Towards
Mecca Towards Mecca The Qibla The news spread
spread spread The Jews heard it The Sufaa
heard it Here the Jews Were the Sufaa
They are the ones Who came here To
tell about What's going on with this They
are trying to raise doubts Like they always
do There are experts Thumbs up In raising
doubts If you If the Qibla Was towards
the Why did you change it Towards Mecca
That means you are doing Something wrong They
are making people think Why did you do
that Ya Rasool Allah What's going on But
Allah will answer In such a very beautiful
way Do
you want to know What Allah told them
This is what Allah Azza wa Jalla will
say Next week Of course next week Of
course next week Because Allah Answers them right
there Ya Muhammad When they come to tell
you this Tell them that When the hypocrites
Because the hypocrites Also will come to Rasool
Allah And say When the hypocrites Will come
and tell you We believe that You are
Rasool Allah Before they came Allah revealed the
ayat Ya Muhammad The hypocrites will come Before
the The Arabs came Allah Azza wa Jalla
revealed Ya Muhammad The Arabs will come And
say this The hypocrites will come And say
this The foolish from the The Jews and
Christians Will come and say this From the
non-believers So tell them that What should
you What should I tell them Inshallah ta
'ala Next week Biiznillah We'll cover the story
Of the changing of the Qibla And why
the Qibla was changed And for what reason
And the reply Or justification That the Prophet
Muhammad Gave to the others To the foolish
Coming directly from Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta
