Episode Notes

Abu Ayyub al-Ansari is next in the line of Sahabas up for discussion and elucidation by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi.

Abu Ayyub Al Ansari RA was born Khalid bin Zayd ibn Kulayb and belonged to Banu Najjar from the Khazraj tribe. We also get acquainted with details on how the Prophet ﷺ was related to Banu Najjar.

Al Ansari RA was given the ultimate honour by Allah SWT of hosting the Prophet ﷺ when he arrived in Madinah. When the Prophet ﷺ entered Madinah on his camel, he was lured incessantly by the people to honour them with the privilege of hosting Rasoolullah ﷺ saying, “Stay with us, O Rasulullah.” “Leave the camel,” the Prophet ﷺ would say. “It is under command (from Allah).” This continued until the camel landed at the doorsteps of Abu Ayyub RA only to move from there and go forward. But it was not long before the camel retreated its steps and stopped again at the house of Abu Ayyub RA. His happiness knew no bounds and this was shared by his wife too and they were the best hosts as shall be deciphered from the Shaykh’s lecture.

He was one of the strongest defenders against the Munafiqun and this quality is illustrated numerous times even so in the presence of his own wife as is indicative in the following story:

During the troubled time of accusations against Aisha RA of slander, Abu Ayyub al Ansari’s wife came home and said to her husband “Have you heard?” Abu Ayyub RA was very angry and said, “We should not be saying these things. It’s an evil lie”. And Allah sent down Ayats with reference to this exact same incident though it transpired in the privacy of the house of Abu Ayyub RA – “Why didn’t you say like this person said?”

There are around a 100 Hadith that have been narrated by Abu Ayyub RA and deal with various issues. Abu Ayyub has his grave in Istanbul, Turkey.

salatu salam ala rasulillah Allah Allah wa sahbihi wa hammerberg despite the bad weather will begin in Shetland. Those that are late can watch it online inshallah Tada. So,

00:00:25--> 00:01:12

today shallow tada we're gonna do a one of the most famous Sahaba who is known for a number of things and today we'll do his whole biography and that is inshallah abou an unsightly and unsightly and what are you bought on Saturday? What are you have his full name is Harley divinization Nicolay from the tribe of the banana jar from the huzar Raj. So his story begins in the Medina and phase. Obviously he is not a part of the Macan phase. Now, however, one could say that history begins even before because the banana jar are in fact related to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and of course, all of you should know all of you should know that. He is the one who hosted the Prophet

00:01:12--> 00:01:54

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in Medina, whose house was chosen by Allah subhana wa tada for the Prophet sallallahu Sallam to live in until his house was built. That is what a boy is famous for. He is the one who is the host of the Prophet system when he arrived in Medina. Now, I want you out of all of the unsought, the tribe of Abu was the only tribe that was related to the process of selling by blood. So the banana jar are in fact, the blood relatives of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam and therefore our you becomes a very distant cousin of the prophets of the law while he will send them How is the blender jar related to the profitability sell them? This goes back to the

00:01:54--> 00:02:42

great grandfather of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Muhammad ibn Abdullah, even Abdul Malik Eben Hashem, Hashem, he goes back to Hashem. And of course I did this in the very beginning of the year of the second or third lecture, Hashem the great grandfather of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he married Selma, and Selma is from the balloon a jar. Okay, so Selma is from the balloon a jar. So Selma and Hashem the two of them, they have Abdulmutallab. So Abdulmutallab the grandfather, the grandfather's mother, Selma is from the Bernal nutjob and therefore, the prophets of the center is related through the balloon ajar from his great grand mother, and perhaps the

00:02:42--> 00:03:25

seventh or the eighth cousin of the Prophet system. So about you, seven or eight generations back meets with the Prophet system through this lady Selma, who is the great grandmother of the Prophet sallallahu Sallam if you remember the story very briefly, just to refresh your memory, Hashem married Selma, and then the child was born. The divorce took place and either either Hashem was not aware of the birth of a polyp, or they had negotiated there's a difference of opinion that Selma would have abdon will polyp Abdullah Matata was original name do you remember I thought it was originally when he was born? I thought it was the original name. What did he was he called by Hashem

00:03:27--> 00:04:13

forgotten che but unhemmed shava shava because he was born with a tuft of white hair. So I thought it was born with some white hair that shava shava will humped and shea butter shava. Abdulmutallab grew up in yesterday. in Medina, therefore, it's very ironic and the students we should say right is called it have a lot where Abdul muttalib was raised, and maybe even born was where the Prophet sallallahu Sallam himself lived. When he came to Medina. Why? Because the tribes lived in the same area, the tribes they were it was divided tribal in Medina all lands at that time, were divided tribally, which your tribe was, that's where you lived. And the balloon ajar had a section of the

00:04:13--> 00:04:56

city of yesterday. And Selma is from that section, and the profitsystem himself is now coming to that section to live. So literally where Abdul muttalib grew up as a child, the same streets the same, not the same house, most likely not the same house. In fact, we don't know not the same house, but definitely the same streets literally the same subdivision where I grew up eventually, the profitsystem himself comes Of course, all of you should remember it seems like you've forgotten Abdulmutallab is who was called shaybah. Hashem dies where does Hashem die? You shouldn't where Hashem dies. Because all of you people follow us they know where Hashem dies. Because because of the

00:04:57--> 00:05:00

the place over there that people follow.

00:05:00--> 00:05:38

They know the the tomb of Hashem is known to this day. And the city is called what was that Hashem saw was attached him to this day is called after him. So the great grandfather of that process was buried in because it fell asleep. Hashem dies. And Hashem his younger brother, whose name is Adam, we'll call him says, I wanted the kid back because they had the tribalism. This is our child, our job. So he devised the rules what not and he went and he took the kid kinda sorta kinda sorta a kidnapping yet it was something that was understood that that's what you know, I know it sounds weird, but that's what they understood that the child would be belonging to the tribe of their

00:05:38--> 00:06:18

father, and he brings the young lad back, he's a young boy. And that's why when he comes in, the people thought that Medallia purchased a slave because how is he coming back from a journey with the boy, right? So they called him Abdulmutallab, remember that's the story of how he got the name Abdulmutallab, even though his name was shaver, and so Abdulmutallab was raised in that area. Now, that is how the process of is related to the bundle nutjob now, the story of Of course, of what us initial contact with the process of is well known and that is, in the books of the theater are the books of Avengers Have there been some very well known and that is one of the process of arrived in

00:06:18--> 00:07:02

the actual city of Medina. After five days of staying in Oba he arrived in the city, and he's on his camel swap. And the Prophet system enters the city and the tribes of the hazards and the iOS, they all come forward and they say come to us or messenger of Allah come to us, we welcome you. Some people even held on to the stirrup of the saddle to the reins of the camel and the prophecies and kept on saying that we'll have in Mora letter B for she has been commanded a large xojo is commanding her she is going where a lot of commands are. So the cam will wander through the streets of Medina until it entered the subdivision of the Buddha job. And it continued to go until it sat

00:07:02--> 00:07:51

down next to an empty plot of land. It sat down and to the right was the big empty plot of land and where it sat down. Eventually that became the entrance of the masjid of the prophets of Salaam and that land became the land of the masjid. Okay, eventually. So this was the marking of a law that this is going to be the masjid. Then the Campbells stood up, continued going, turned around, and came back and then sat down in the exact same location where it had sat down before, but this time it is turning the other way. And the house next to the profitsystem now, so one side was the empty land. Now that the camel has turned around and the process of gets off the house right there is the

00:07:51--> 00:08:38

house of abou alongside it. So understand this very simple, very simple. The messages of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam where the Imam is where the Imam is right? You keep on going. Now you get to the extension. You keep on going in the modern complex, the Imam will walk in from a front door if you know that area. Okay, the female walking from her front door. Essentially, that is the corridor the camel was walking down. Okay, and our youths house is in front of where the Imam walks in from today these days. Why? Because the fibula change direction Don't forget the cabler change direction. Once upon a time, the Tabler was the opposite of what it was. So for those of you who

00:08:38--> 00:09:21

have been to the atom complex, we enter from King fladgate all the way at the back, right we walk all the way to the front until we get to the original then the Imam is standing realized all of that is reversed. Initially the Qibla was the other way. So the entrance was the back which was now which is now where the equivalent is the main entrance to the profitsystem as Masjid for the first year and a half was the back of the masjid. Right. And that back of the masjid is currently where the main Imam stands, you guys following right? And so when the camel parks when the camel sits down, the camel sat down, and the empty plot of land is on one side. And literally in front of that empty

00:09:21--> 00:10:00

plot was the house of you alongside. So that's how the profitsystem was told by Allah. This is the land of the masjid. This is where you're going to stay for the next few weeks or months. And so when the camel returned to its original place and the process of got off the camel, you jumped for joy he realized that he had been chosen because that was his house. And he took the camel and launched it and the Profit System then came into his house and the processor asked about you Who does this plot belong to? And he responded it belongs to two orphans that are relatives of mine because everybody's related in that vicinity in that vicinity. Everybody is from

00:10:00--> 00:10:46

In the balloon a job and the two orphans, their names were Sal. And so hain and Sal and Sohail were brothers, their parents had died, they had left this plot of land, when they heard that the process of wanted it, it is said they wanted to donate an abort, you've insisted to pay them its price. So who are you and inside he becomes the person who purchases the land that eventually becomes the heroine. So what a great honor that from that time, up until now, everybody who is praying in the harem, is actually praying on the walk, donated by a boy tube to Allah and His messenger. It is actually the robot and the original Masjid is the walk of tube alongside it, that you gave to the

00:10:46--> 00:11:33

Muslims and gave to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam as a gift for the sake of Allah Subhana Allah, and the Prophet system then resided in about YouTube's house for how long, some scholars say one month and some have, say seven months. And that seems a bit strange. He resided in his house for as long as it took to construct the heroin and then his house, okay, because the profitsystem prioritize the construction of the message when the message was constructed, then he made his house. And it is unreasonable to think that that messages in house would have taken seven months. So most likely around one month is how long the process and lived with a value and anxiety. And at that

00:11:33--> 00:11:37

time, the profitsystem was married to who was married to when he migrated to Medina.

00:11:38--> 00:12:18

So the and only soda, so only one house had to be built. So the first house and the only house that was built was the house of soda. And when that house was built in the process and moved from a bob's house to his house, which was connected our issues house was the next house built and that was next to Sodor. So our issue and so that their houses were next to one another and they were connected to the masjid that the Prophet salallahu alaihe was sending them. Now what you had the honor of hosting the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. But this wasn't the first time that he had met a lot of pseudo law, because he was of the 70, who took part in the second the second half of the treaty, the

00:12:18--> 00:12:58

second treaty of Aqaba, so because he took part in the second treaty of Aqaba, so he is one of the famous unsought, who goes down in history as being one of the earliest converts. So he converted to Islam, before the migration of the Prophet salallahu idea he was selling by around a year and a half. So he is of the early unsought and of the core of the unsought. And as we said, he is also one of the closest in lineage of the unsolved with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It is also known in the books of history and the books as soon as we're going to mention today, it's mentioned that volumes house had two stories in it. And the Prophet sallallahu wasallam chose the bottom story

00:12:58--> 00:13:42

and level for himself. And he asked about you to go to the top why, because he did not want to disturb you when his guests came in and out. So it would be an issue for them awkwardness, so he wanted to allow them to have their privacy, and he could entertain guests or any buddy downstairs. And it would not be an inconvenience to the family when people came in and out. And a number of things took place that away, you and his wife were upstairs. And they said that how can we walk on top of the head of the profits of the law while he was setting them. So they move their bed to the complete side and they slept with their bodies attached to the wall basically, so that they are not

00:13:43--> 00:14:25

walking on top of the process, a lot of it he will send them. And one night, they accidentally dropped some water in the middle of the night, they dropped some water they can the jug of water fell, and they became panicked and they spent the whole night mopping up any drops that they could find out of fear that the water would fall on the profits of the laquanda who was selling them. And so within a few days of where you've insisted, despite the process of them, saying that it would inconvenience them, meaning a woman his wife, they insisted that jasola it is not befitting that the feet of you walk over the head of the Prophet sallallahu it he was telling them and so he insisted

00:14:25--> 00:14:59

that they will go to the downstairs and the Prophet says and we'll go upstairs, and what are you when his wife would send food obviously to the profitsystem to eat. And when the food would come back then they would partake after the process of eating whatever was left. They would then eat and have what you would eat exactly where the profitsystem ate from whatever his hands had reached and touch. That is where he would begin eating from obviously out of Baraka of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. One day the food came back untouched. There was no food eaten and

00:15:00--> 00:15:40

Boy, you came rushing up and asking yada Salalah What is the matter? Is there any issue and the profitsystem said that there is bustle or there's onions in the food. And of course, we're talking about uncooked A lot of people don't understand I've said this a million times that cooked garlic and onions, that's not the issue. When it's uncooked, it has a very pungent odor. And they would just put it, you know, as basically have a vegetable on the site to eat. And they would leave it there because that, again, times were harsh and cuisine was different. So the profitsystem sent it back untouched. And he said, there was onions. So what you've said is, is Basile hat on. And the

00:15:40--> 00:16:29

President said no, but I am spoken to by those whom you are not spoken to. I have visitors that do not visit you, okay? things come to me, not people not but entities come to me that don't come to you, meaning the angels come to me, and they do not come to you. And so after that, you've never cooked anything with onions, because obviously the profits of some could not eat them. Also, we have a few incidents here and there from the life of Abu but on Saudi that is, that even is half mentioned, the famous co author, he mentioned that you was one of the most strong defenders of the Prophet system against them one after all. And the first time there was an actual physical

00:16:29--> 00:17:07

altercation between the Muslims and the Menaka. Own involved of what you've been on Saudi that a group of one after horn, this is early Medina, the first or second year in Medina, a group of one after all, we're sitting in a circle, and they were whispering and saying things about the process of them and the Muslims when they were in front of them, and they were in the corner. And that will you became so angry that he charged that gathering, and he picked up their leader and his name is mentioned, but it is not unbuildable nobody. So this is somebody that left in the early Madonna phase that he picked him up and he literally dragged him out of the masjid. And the man said, and he

00:17:07--> 00:17:49

was a respected man enjoy Hillier, and he was the idle caretaker in jelly. So he was somebody who was involved with the idols, but now he had converted out of political convenience. And so the man said that, do you dare touch me or are you and a boy you went inside, he became so angry, and he said, Oh, hello, Jia Manasa hobby, he called him very vulgar things, their hobbies you filled the man you will not get out of here. You are not worthy of being in the presence of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And this was the first time that there was a physical dispute between the Muslims and the one after porn and what was at the forefront in that. And of course of his most

00:17:49--> 00:18:33

famous stories that we should all benefit and learn from, is his response to the slander of our mother Isha in words that Allah subhana wa tada himself preserved in the Holy Quran, when the slander of Arusha began, Ayesha wrote the last line, of course, you know, we went over the slander in a lot of detail. And people were talking about her, and even those who didn't believe it was still spreading it. Even those who didn't believe it. We're still talking about it in the gossip and the innuendos. So one day a boy you came home, and his wife only a YouTube said that, oh, boy, you don't you know, what the gossip is? Don't you know what people are saying about Russia? And he

00:18:33--> 00:19:22

immediately said, That, of course, I know what they are saying. But it is a lie. It is a cut that is cannot be true. He said to me a YouTube, would you do such a thing? Or maybe you said, No. You said for law, he our issue is better than you. Our issue is better than you if you could not do such a thing. How can anybody think that I should can do it. This is a clear lie. This is a clear slander and this attitude of Abu Ghraib. And what he said was immortalized by Allah subhana wa tada in the Koran and we still recite a US conversation to you that nobody heard except Allah subhana wa tada and the two of them, nobody was there in that house. Yet Allah subhana wa Taala quoted a you and

00:19:22--> 00:19:59

described of what you and his intentions and his good, personal one, right his good has not been Allah as Georgia describes it, and Allah azzawajal praises it and a lot of xojo quotes what you've said, and it is immortalized forever in the Quran. And of course, the verse is one older it's similar to Moodle and why not when you heard this one, let me know in the world monitor for same hierarchy, they should have thought the believing men women, they should have thought the best thoughts will call to her the outcome will be they should have said this is a clear slander. So this is about you. Why

00:20:00--> 00:20:46

Didn't you do whatever you did. Now he's not mentioned by name. But we learned from the seal. And the books have added that this is a youth that you was the one who immediately defended our issue. He thought the best of our issue, and he's the one who said, this is a clear slander, it can be true. And Allah azza wa jal says, Why didn't you do like this? So, Allah azza wa jal, therefore, indirectly is praising you, and indirectly because he's not mentioned by name, but the context is there indirectly. A law affirms that is of the meaning because Allah says Why didn't you do like the meaning when they heard it? They said that so a lot of firms have a YouTube is of the movement of

00:20:46--> 00:21:29

the higher level of Eman And Allah subhana wa tada praises about alongside him. And you participated in each and every battle of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and in the Battle of hiber another interesting incident that shows his extra protection for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that when Sophia Binti who was taken by the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam people did not know is Sophia, a wife? Or is she a god? They did not know. How would it be? And they did not know has the process of chosen her as a mother of the believers, or is she a milky Ameen. And of course we now know of course she is one of our mothers, but this was right after the Battle of

00:21:29--> 00:22:14

hiber. And when you heard he became agitated, and he took his sword, and he stood guard outside the tent of the Prophet salallahu idea he was setting them. The next morning when the Prophet system came outside. You saw a bow tube standing alert with his sword open, and he said, What is the matter? What are you Why are you standing here with your sword? And away you've said yes to a law. I was fearful for the lady. I was fearful. Her father has just been killed. Her people have just been killed. For Eamon is just new right now. And we don't know what she might do. Might she have a dagger, she might have poison we don't know. So I was worried for you. So the Prophet sallallahu

00:22:14--> 00:22:59

Sallam said, Oh, Allah protect you, as he protected me protect you, as he protected me away you as well. I participated in the conquest of Makkah, and each and every battle, we don't really have any details of specific things that he did like most of the Sahaba that we don't have much details of the specifics, but he did not leave a single battle from the Battle of mother all the way to the conquest of Mecca. And after the death of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he was appointed during the time of IDF and that would be a positive. He was appointed the governor of Medina for a period of time. And he also visited the city of Basra. When a bin Abbas was its governor, and had

00:22:59--> 00:23:44

been my boss, of course, is a cousin of the Prophet salallahu idea. He was Selim. And when you visited an Ibis, even Avast became so happy, and he stood up to tell you Bhansali that I will honor you the way that you honor the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he visited when he came to Medina, and he gave up his house for a while you bet on Saudi, and he said everything in this house now belongs to you. And they estimated at the time that it was worth 40,000 dinars, all of the things in the house was worth 40,000 dinars even above the cousin of the processing to honor a boy you essentially handed over his whole house to him and whatever happened to be ended at the time,

00:23:44--> 00:24:24

whatever he owned, he said, it's all yours as an honor for what you have done for the Prophet salallahu alaihe was sending them and of what you have there is an eternity left, did he participate in the wars between the companions or not some books that mentioned he was on the side of it. Others mentioned that he might have been on the side of it, but he did not participate in the Battle of Safin, which is a difference between the two. Right. There are those people who emotionally they're supporting it, but they're not going to fight other Muslims. And it seems a what you was one of those that he was on the side of it means his heart was with Ali and the audio. The other one was

00:24:24--> 00:24:59

the one that you know, he wanted to win. But when it came to the actual Battle of Safin of what are you been on? Sorry, it seems and Elon knows best he did not participate in the battle, even though technically he was on the side of it overall. However, he did participate against the outage and the other battles that took place and when he was assassinated, and what are we and why we are comes to power of what you would have thought he was visiting a sham. And while we wanted him to come visit him as well, and so

00:25:00--> 00:25:45

He paid a visit to Moscow we have, but it was very clear that there was awkwardness or maybe even some type of hostility. And while we asked a question, the technicalities of it are beyond the scope of our lecture, he wanted an answer about a past incident that would have made his opponent understand who his opponent is look a little bit down, he wanted an answer from you that would have made his rival look down. And you did not fall for the bait and avoid you rather answered in a very blunt manner, which in fact, kind of put more weight on the last one who down. And he mentioned a time when while we are in his father, who was who found, we're fighting against the prophecies when

00:25:45--> 00:26:26

he goes, I was there on that day. So I don't want to go into the details. Because these are awkward times. These are times where it's just I need to even to explain this and that it takes a while and and like I said many times, it was a time of great pain between two groups of the Sahaba. And there's no question that we are more supportive of Ali rhodiola. One and his side than the other side. But still, we respect both sides and of what you clearly his heart was not at ease with more obvious rhodiola one, and he did not like what he was seeing. And, in fact, he said, and again, this shows his bravery as well. That he said, verily, indeed the prophets are some has spoken the truth,

00:26:27--> 00:27:08

when he told us on sod on salt, be patient, for you shall see trials after my death means you are trial to us. We set this straight there, and as it's couched in hidden language, but it's very clear. And so while we obviously was very frustrated at this, and he promised to not see him ever again. So because he had invited him to the gathering and a value came, but it turns out to be the opposite of what he wanted, he wanted to honor that I'm getting a visit from a famous hobby and whatnot. Because remember, I mean, our utmost respect, while we while we It was not of the elite of the Sahaba, he was not of the big Sahaba. While we are he was of the teenagers who converted on the

00:27:08--> 00:27:49

conquest of Makkah, I need the lowest strength possible of a Sahabi. That's what he was right. And I'm not saying this to diminish, because again, people get very sensitive. But you cannot compare more Alia, with any of the Maha Joon or the unsought or the Allahu igmi. While we're is of the lowest group, and that is the most limited for those who converted at the conquest of Makkah. And not only that, but he was a teenager, and he just barely a young man, when that conversion or credit, Max, he might have been 1920 years old when that happens. So again, he's just a young man, and he's converting when his father converts at the very end. And yes, he is also happy. And yes, he

00:27:49--> 00:28:29

is a brother in law. And yes, there's a lot of respect that we give, and we do not ever speak evil of why we as some of the people do, nonetheless, the truth can't cannot be hidden. And that is that we cannot equate a voice tube or abubaker or Omar or any of them with Malia there is no comparison. And Ali and while we are there is no comparison, how can you compare our DNA? We thought it was the first of the converts. Tomorrow we are the last of the Congress, how can you compare the one who has a whole 20 year legacy with the one who has hardly anything other than a few months with the Profit System, there is no comparison. So we have to be again, fair in this regard. Because a lot of times

00:28:29--> 00:29:10

people don't understand and they kind of sort of you know, they they they get a little bit too emotional when it comes to this issue. And that's why it's very clear there was tension and a boy who was not happy at what he is seeing with while we are the last one and that happiness is expressed and couched in this language. Another point about a boy but on Sunday, what you every single year he would participate in his words and his whole life was a life of was was he was definitely one of those causes those Mojo hits for the sake of Allah subhana wa tada and he would quote in the Quran, every Allah xojo says in Surah Toba in funeral if I offend Allah, go forth and

00:29:10--> 00:29:31

fight, say FAFEN. Allah say farfan means light powder means heavy. What does it mean go for it heavy and light. Our scholars say heavy means you are well prepared and armed. Light means you don't have preparation. In both cases you should go forth. And

00:29:32--> 00:29:58

as you would say, Allah is commanding us to go safer and smarter and safer than I am either without orthopod I can't be one except the other. So every year he would go and he would fight and so he fought in the conquest of Sham he fought in the conquest of Egypt. He fought against the mortared. He fought in the against the Hawaii outage his whole life is a life of jihad and towards the end of his life

00:29:59--> 00:30:00

towards the end of this

00:30:00--> 00:30:21

his life, he participated in one of the most famous battles, historic battles of Islam, even though nothing came of it per se, it is historic simply because of its significance. And that is the first time that the Muslims attacked the grandest city in the world at the time, the political capital of the world.

00:30:23--> 00:31:10

And that is Constantinople, Constantinople. Constantinople is of course, today's Istanbul. And again, it's difficult for us to understand what Constantinople represented for us, Turkey, Istanbul, this is standards we grew up in this time for the last 700 years, 600 years. Istanbul is the capital of Turkey. But we don't understand. Constantinople was the capital of the Western world for over 1000 years. Okay. Imagine something we say now London, or Rome, or Paris, imagine something like that, right? Falling for the Chinese imagine Paris and Nazareth. Like it's you can't even imagine it's not something in our minds to even imagine. Constantinople was the center of Christianity.

00:31:10--> 00:31:39

There was no London there was no of course, New York, it was none of these cities. It was Constantinople. And it was the prize. Even Rome was nothing compared to Constantinople. Rome only came to power after Constantinople began to go down and then disappear. And Constantinople was the queen of all political cities in the world. And our Prophet sallallahu wasallam said he didn't sign Bahati this highly desirable quality. It is the most authentic book, The Prophet says Adam said.

00:31:41--> 00:32:29

The first army Oh, what is the first army that shall attack Medina to the city of the Cesar ma fula. home, they are forgiven. The first army that shall attack the city of the Caesar shall be forgiven. It is an army that is forgiven. Now the city of the Caesar, Constantinople literally means the city of constant in Constantine, Constantinople, and who is Constantine, Constantine was the greatest of the Roman Christian emperors. Okay, the great test of the Roman Christian emperors. You had the pre Christian emperors of the pagan era. That's another timeframe. Constantine in 325, whatever CEO ad, Constantine

00:32:30--> 00:33:13

was the pagan emperor who converted to Christianity, and he's the one who established Christianity as the state, basically officially recognized religion. Before that time, the Roman Empire was pagan, the Roman Empire worshipped idols. Constantine became a Christian. And he has a legacy that is beyond just religion. Even politically, he was a powerful monarch and a powerful Emperor. And so he names the city after himself, Constantinople, the city of Constantine. And therefore it was originally called Byzantium, it was then called Constantinople, so the city of eisah, the city of Constantine, Constantine, then that's literally Constantinople. And therefore the process of said

00:33:13--> 00:34:01

whoever is the first army that fights that city, he didn't say that conquers it. He says that fights it the hour, the first housework tells you the first and housework that will take place against Constantinople, the army shall be forgiven. So that was what was done in the reign of war. We are the Allahu taala. And, and just that factor alone, the audacity really of early Islam it is it should take our breath away. In one generation, the Muslims began knocking on the doors of Constantinople, from where to where I already said two weeks ago, the story of Superman and fire to see again, that amazing miracle of conquering the Palace of kisara observe season and the the the

00:34:01--> 00:34:45

Persian Emperor, the assassin Empire. Now the Roman Empire is going to get its turn but they're going to be delayed. They're going to be delayed for a while, why? The Hadith is also in Bahati that the process of them said that the Caesar honored my messenger and respected my letter so Allah azza wa jal will give His kingdom a while and the Persian king disrespected my letter and tore it up and so Allah will tear his kingdom up we the process and predicted this, that the Roman Empire will last a while and indeed it did last it lasted quite a while it lasted another 1000 years basically, until and it was multiple times Muslims tried to attack it. I mean, I do hope one day by the way, one day

00:34:45--> 00:35:00

inshallah to give a brief history of Muslim lands not just you know, the early time just overall because we need to know this. Maybe that's another fuse. Elon knows best but Constantinople was attacked multiple times and it was always always

00:35:00--> 00:35:00

Always,

00:35:02--> 00:35:51

not successful. Why? Because Constantinople was the most heavily fortified city in the world. With no exceptions. It was fortified, both geographically. Because Where's Constantinople? Istanbul? If you know where Istanbul is, right? If you know the geographic location of Istanbul, it is an ideal location for a city. Right? And we're talking about the, the eastern side of the city now, right, the original Constantinople, it is protected on multiple sides by water by land strategically. And then even from the inland. The number of walls that were built over the centuries was simply for naught and some of those walls I mean, they're still around. By the way, if you ever go to Istanbul,

00:35:51--> 00:36:29

Subhanallah, and even I have been so many times, I haven't done justice to the city. You can have multi layered tours of Istanbul, you can have a tours of Istanbul that take you through the Christian sites. You can have tours that take you to the pagan sites, you can have tours that can take early Ottoman late Ottoman, I totally I mean, every era, Istanbul has its glorious history. The wall at the time of the buzzword of Huawei are parts of that wall are still around to this day. Can you believe parts of it obviously, still, to this day, when we're out of the law, one sent an expedition to attack Constantinople, it had the walls that were built by

00:36:30--> 00:37:16

forgot the Emperor's named fifth century Emperor, he had built walls that were two meters thick, like some of the most fortified walls known to man, he builds them at that point in time, some of those walls and remnants of them are still standing in the suburbs of Istanbul, you can go and you can see it to this day. So while we are the law, one wanted to gain that honor to be the first army to be sent. Some while we sends the army, he does not participate, but he commands it to be sent. And to give that honor to his loved one, he sends his young son yazeed, even more Alia, to be the General of the Army. So yazeed is the General of the Army that attacks Constantinople. This is the

00:37:16--> 00:38:01

first time in human human history that Muslims knock on the gates of Constantinople, it shall not be the last time for the next 800 years, they're going to continue knocking every few centuries, they're going to try try and try until finally, in 1453, memorize this date. It is one of the most significant dates of human history, not just Islamic history, because Constantinople comes to an end, and the Byzantine Empire collapses once and for all. This is one of the most significant dates of a human history. And who conquers Constantinople guys, everybody should know. Mohammed Al Fatah. Right, Mohammed, in fact, the Ottoman ruler, he conquers Constantinople in 1453. And that is, of

00:38:01--> 00:38:49

course, way after what we are interested in. But the first army that that attacks Constantinople is the army of yazeed, even while we're at the command of Mao, when the news spread, that they're going to attack Constantinople, abou despite being a very frail old man, way beyond the age of fighting, uh, you volunteers and joins the expedition, because he just wants to get that honor. That's the only reason he's not in fighting age anymore. Doesn't matter. He just wants to go to be a part of that expedition. Now pause here before I go on. I've already given two years ago, the long lecture about ewz and whatnot. And I mentioned this issue. And again, just to reiterate, so yazeed had been

00:38:49--> 00:39:33

while we he is a person whom Sunni Muslims have contested views on you have two extremes. And you have the moderate middle, we all know that the the shiai they consider us to be basically the worst human being ever created. And he is worse than shaped on from their theological perspective. And they have the reasons for that. And for our perspective, we have spectrum of opinion. We have one extreme that praises him. We have another extreme that Lana and curses and whatnot to him. And we have the moderate, that basically says that he was definitely a corrupt and evil person with a lot of evil, and he has some good, but we don't gain anything by sending landers on anybody Just be

00:39:33--> 00:39:59

quiet. And leave is a ferry to Allah. Right. We don't love but we don't have to give Lana as well. He is not somebody to respect. He's not somebody who's accomplished that much. And his main accomplishment is what his father told him to do right now. And so this issue of leading an expedition to Constantinople is the issue that causes one group to say

00:40:00--> 00:40:10

rhodiola one of him and to say for sure he has been forgiven, because the Prophet system said, What did you just say? Guys? I just quoted you the Hadith.

00:40:11--> 00:40:51

The first army that fights Constantinople. Mahalo LA. Okay, so they say her loss, for sure yazeed has gotten that Rama. And so he is basically called the a loved one who, by the way, he's not so happy. He is he is not as a hobby. He was he was born in the time of Earth man, he never saw the process of the president resigned. While we I was an 18 year old when the process of when he embraces the time, how can you have there is no use. He didn't say she's not so happy. So there's no question of him that attaining that status. Now, to end we have to answer this question, even though it's not directly related. But I know everybody talks about this, and people should know, some kind

00:40:51--> 00:40:55

of Listen, when there is a blessing and ahaadeeth.

00:40:57--> 00:41:39

We are hopeful over that blessing, but it doesn't mean it necessarily applies to each and every person because we don't know if the person who did the deed that deed was accepted by a law so that he gets the blessing. For example, we learned in the Hadith that whoever goes for Hajj and he doesn't commit a sin and he doesn't get angry, he will come back like his mother gives birth to him. Okay, so Mashallah 3 million go for Hajj. Everyone who goes for Hajj, can we be certain hollows? He's coming back that like the day his mother gave birth to him? No. So the Hadith is authentic doesn't mean everybody is gonna get it. Because you don't know. Did he actually do Hajj properly or

00:41:39--> 00:42:27

not? Same goes over here. That what was the Nia or what happened? Or what? Over all? Yes, those who go for hedge they will come back forgiven? Yes. Overall, those who were in this army, they are forgiven doesn't mean without exception, no one is going to be no doesn't mean that it's a as they say kilchoman inhotim. The the judgment of the majority, most of this army shall be forgiven. It doesn't mean every single individual without a doubt shall be forgiven permanently. No, that's not the meaning here. Because you see, of course, I don't go into the biography as it was used, but to only two things enough to say that he is he has a lot of accounting on judgment day. Only two

00:42:27--> 00:43:16

things. Number one is the blood of Hussein. And what we'll use, he'd say, when he is asked about that, that is something that we don't even want to think about. That is enough to really how can anybody anybody like like Mr. Mohammed was asked when his son asked him that? Are we supposed to love music? And Imam Ahmed said, Can any men love music? And literally, this was his answer. Can any men love music? So he asked his father, should we curse him? Then? Mr. Mohammed said, Have you ever heard me curse and other Muslim? Is that my methodology of teaching to Christian other Muslim? So a mama's response is the perfect response. Okay. And that's our response is, Well, look, anybody who

00:43:16--> 00:43:57

goes to extremes always falls into an error. He is he is not somebody that should be admired and looked up to. And he has enough. I said, number one is Hussein's death, what are the other one which is enough of a catastrophe? And then to add to that, the second thing, worst thing that he has done is the How do I massacre of Medina? Which is, again, one of the tragedies that I haven't spoken about in this question. Maybe someday, I'll talk about it. But the Hydra massacre for three days uses forces, literally killed and pillaged and raped in the holy city of Medina. And one of the worst catastrophes of early Islam was the Hebron massacre. To this day, when you visit back here,

00:43:58--> 00:44:35

when you visit back here, and you take me as a guide, and you follow behind me, and you take your video camera, and you see where I'm going, you will remember in shallow Tada, vaguely, I pointed to a place and I said this is the Hydra massacre, the long the long strip, after the wives are mothers, and after you keep on we're on the left hand side, there's a long strip and said this is where the people of how to run our mouths were buried. Why? Because there were so many bodies, they just dug them up and threw them all there. They could not bury them one by one. They could not bury them one by one. So that's why when you walk in, but there there's there's just a section that is like almost

00:44:35--> 00:45:00

as long as this question to the woman section almost as long as this question, right? And it's just the heart of a massacre took place there and hundreds of children of the Sahaba and even some of the Sahaba the smaller and younger Sahaba were not very old were killed hundreds of their children and grandchildren like some of the greatest people were massacred and other evil things that we don't mention this in the holy city and you

00:45:00--> 00:45:33

Z was directly responsible for that, because he allowed his commander to he literally told his commander, because he wanted to send that message again. So again, these two things enough, that's enough. And he has other crimes as well, and his personal life and whatnot. So the point being, I mentioned this so that unfortunately, what happens is in my YouTube videos, people take two second clips, and they say, I'm saying this, I'm saying that. So if I had not mentioned this disclaimer, they would have said, I'm praising Izzy, because I mentioned this Hadith, I want to say no, I have never in my life praised his he never. And I don't plan to do this. At the same time, there's no

00:45:33--> 00:46:13

need to curse somebody, if he is worthy of that Allah will give him that I don't need to add in my writing is not going to do anything more on Judgement Day. In the end of the day, he died upon the kalama. And so he is within the fold of Islam. And we are quiet at his at his fate. The point being a you is a part of that army that we get back to our story now. Okay, what you have is a part of the army is the this little young man is his general commander who is in his 80s Yes, he does, you know, probably 20 years old now. So he is either as the commander and avoid you travels with the army until they are a stone's throw, basically another day or two, and they're going to start the

00:46:13--> 00:46:34

fighting. And that's one of where you fall sick. And it seems as if his death is imminent, so your xe visits avoid you out of respect. And he says, Alexa hajra, you know, Can I do anything to help you out, and to his deathbed says the same as from you and your father, nothing.

00:46:36--> 00:47:01

don't need anything from you. As for the Muslims, tell them to go as deep as they can into the enemy territory, and fight as ferociously as they can. And as far as they get, then bury me over there. That's my request to them not to you. As far as they can get bury me as the greatest you can go. And then you know, if you

00:47:02--> 00:47:46

if you succeed or not, leave me wherever you're able to get to. And so he did what was requested he went in, he announced to the Muslims that this is what, what you is requesting. So when they heard of what you're requesting this, they put on their armors right then and there. And that was the catalyst for them to charge Constantinople, his death was the catalyst that they needed to take on that bravery, that courage and to charge the walls of the city. They were not successful. Politically, Constantinople did not fall, but they were not unsuccessful either. And they sent the message and the books of the Roman Empire also record the first skirmishes that took place. They

00:47:46--> 00:48:28

record this as well, that the the city put up a defense, and eventually, the Muslims had to withdraw. But they did succeed in burying of what you put on somebody outside the city's walls. Okay, so that was a lot of other written that are valuable insights shall be buried outside the walls of Constantinople. Just think about that, again, from where to where, again, we talked about this from semantic fidelity as well, from where to where, here again, we have a boyband on Saudi who is just you know, before the CRR. Before that, he's just a simple farmer in Medina. Right. And now he is buried outside the gates of the largest, the most dominant politically active city in the

00:48:28--> 00:48:35

world. And of course, that is eventually going to become Istanbul or I forgot to mention there's one incident mentioned in the battle as well.

00:48:38--> 00:48:40

That in one of the early skirmishes,

00:48:41--> 00:49:23

a man jumped into the battle, and he was working his way into the the the Roman camp, and another person shouted out, what is this guy doing like Mama, what is this guy doing? He is causing his own destruction. He is quoting a verse in the Quran, where Allah azza wa jal says, What are to be equina taluka is the first in the Quran, don't cause your own destruction of what you was listening and he said, No, don't misquote the Quran that ayah came down regarding us of the answer. When Allah azza wa jal had given victory to the Prophet solo, send them we said, let us abandon jihad. Let's abandon kitten. And let's just make money.

00:49:25--> 00:49:30

Now we can just make money. So Allah revealed in the Koran, what is the beginning of the

00:49:32--> 00:49:33

beginning of the AI?

00:49:34--> 00:49:36

We have to fall sitting here.

00:49:38--> 00:49:46

What are we doing? See, this is the test of a real half filled with token and I'm not one of them. Any half filled can go this way.

00:49:48--> 00:50:00

The one who can go that way. That is the real Haffield. All of us were faithful to me and you were all like so so okay, we just go one way. Okay. We can only go forward, we cannot reverse that.

00:50:00--> 00:50:01

The car we cannot go back.

00:50:03--> 00:50:48

We're unfill Kofi Sevilla, he wants to be a dignitary Luca, okay. In fact, is mentioned with Jihad immediately. So, you've said don't misquote the verse, I know why this verse came down, it came down for us of the unsought when we said let's just make money now we don't need to go into a zoo and cattle and Allah said, Don't cause your own destructions means our laziness was our destruction not going out for his work. And this man is showing bravery. This is not Jani causing his own destruction. Okay, so about you, you know, corrected that misunderstanding now. So I will you was buried outside the city's walls. And in modern Istanbul, if any of you goes to modern Istanbul,

00:50:48--> 00:51:40

there is still an area a suburb of Istanbul, that is called a useful town it is still called To this day, the whole area is called a useful time. And in it is the alleged Muslim of about a u n Ansari, and it is one of the highest visited places in Istanbul. And in fact, it is the location where traditionally many of the Ottoman Hooda would be crowned their coronation ceremonies would be held on the mausoleum of Abu Ansari, and even in our generation, the current president, not that I'm praising or discouraging or whatnot, my stances about him are not relevant to this lecture. So please don't read in Still, he also made a show at that mausoleum a few years ago for political

00:51:40--> 00:51:49

Baraka, if you'd like to make a statement of his religiosity and whatnot. And and so that mausoleum has become a status of Islamic

00:51:50--> 00:51:58

Ottoman heritage. And he made a point of going there as a president, which was a rare thing for the current president of Turkey.

00:52:00--> 00:52:42

Unfortunately, because it's me, who's teaching you I have to become more academic and tell you that really, the entire concept of having a muzzle Liam over about a US grave cannot be true, because no one can possibly know where you went inside it was actually buried. Okay, the whole thing I really don't want to use too harsh of a term but let's just say that you have just as much luck of throwing a random rock outside the wall to find the actual cover than they would have had when they built it. Okay. And when you look at the story of the mausoleum, when you look at the story of the mausoleum, when

00:52:44--> 00:53:31

Sultan Mahmud al Fatah, the conquer when Sultan when Mohammed father had to conquer was basically wanting to conquer the city. Masha Allah very coincidentally his spiritual leader, his name is Adi shamsudeen, his spiritual leader Yanni Mashallah so coincidentally discovers the grave and how does it discover it? How does he discover the grave when there Mashallah, you know, the story? You? Did you? Are you kidding me? He just made a guess and is the actual story. So, you know, how these people work? Okay, our brother just made a guess. And the guest is absolutely right. He saw a light in his heart, he saw a light coming. And that light is where the Hubbard he assumed it was. Okay.

00:53:31--> 00:53:38

And so sovann, Mohammed Al Fatiha after he conquered the city, then, of course, this is I mean,

00:53:39--> 00:53:41

I am not trying to be too

00:53:42--> 00:54:27

harsh here. But every ruler uses religion, at some level for political reasons. Okay, whether it's Eastern Orthodox, whether it's our own rulers, whether it's even the Muslim rulers, it's very rare to find the genuine religious leader, very rare. And at some level is understandable. I'm not defending I'm not accusing what not. So you need to motivate the troops, you need to encourage the masses you need to. So these types of things, they, they help the people, they really encourage the people imagine how you would have been, if you had been in that army and the cities are there, and all of a sudden you discover the grave of you, how would that make you feel? Just think about that?

00:54:28--> 00:54:35

Okay, so I'll leave it there without going into too much detail. So it's very convenient that that grave is discovered at that point in time. And so,

00:54:36--> 00:54:59

Mohammed Al Fatiha then, after the city is conquered, he is the one who builds a very lavish plush, you know, marble, beautiful structure. And of course, that structure then is rebuilt and rebuilt. And I think the original still there, portions of the original are still there. 600 years old. And so obviously over 600 years, it's been it's become its own historical legend, and it's a sight to go see

00:55:00--> 00:55:33

Just because of this 100 year history, even if it's not true from before that point in time, because again, and I'm sorry to be the academic, I think this in some of my problems that I can never be a good storyteller the way that other people are, because I can't it's just, I can't tell you these lies in the new book, guys be happy at it. Think about it. Will you been on site, he was buried outside the walls of the ancient city of Constantinople in the year 670. c. Okay. 670 or So see, now think about it.

00:55:34--> 00:55:57

Who is going to mark his grave amongst the Muslims? Who is going to keep track of where it was? Okay, who is going to now tell the next generations? Do you think now the Romans living in the city would have kept that grave intact? And they would have built on it? Would it be an unknown, unmarked land? And what would have happened in the next 800 years, the city is going to do what?

00:55:58--> 00:56:36

expand and expand and expand, right? And other walls are going to be built. So for Mohammed and Fatah, in 1453, to conveniently discover outside the wall, he happens to see, I mean, really, you know, I mean, just a little bit of common sense. Just kind of deflates your bubble, but you understand that doesn't work this way. Real Life doesn't work this way. Okay, you just have to, you just have to, you know, understand what is going on here. So, of course, nobody's gonna tell you that what I just told you, because to this day, if you go to Istanbul, I mean, where are our Turkish brothers and sisters are going to get insulted when you hear it from me, huh? Just, yeah, just Just

00:56:36--> 00:56:38

don't be too too hurt.

00:56:39--> 00:56:43

So you know, the story, but you had believed it before this point in time.

00:56:45--> 00:57:03

Okay, if you believe people will see light coming out, and they will then just go there. I mean, and again, it's just the convenience of it taking place. Anyway. So you get the point here, you know, we don't base our religion on such on such issues and whatnot. And the point is, I mean,

00:57:04--> 00:57:28

yes, I will, you will notice it is buried somewhere outside the city good enough, good enough, it's not going to change if we know the exact location or not. In any case, the point is that, academically speaking, it's just not correct to state that his cover is known because it's not known. I mean, we don't base our religion on what somebody said that I saw light coming out and whatnot, and Allah knows best. So

00:57:30--> 00:58:08

we'll use progeny as well disappeared over the century. So Allah knows best if he even has any children left or not. Even his house says that his progeny has has gone like he didn't have children. Even if they are children, they didn't really pass on the linear. So we have a Well, you've narrated quite a lot of headache, because you lived relatively long and he he died in the year or I forgot to mention he died in the year 1500 50, or 5100. Because that's when Constantinople was attacked by his 11 Amalia, and he dies in the reign of Mao era, the Alliance where he lives relatively a good life, like throughout the whole of Russia, and he dies in that time. So he has

00:58:08--> 00:58:23

around 100 Hadith narrated a lot and he for more compared to most of the other Sahaba. And we're just going to do a few of them inshallah with their honor, and then call it a day. One, as usual, as you know, I do for most of them, whenever you will, inside if

00:58:24--> 00:58:45

a person came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he said, O Messenger of Allah, give me advice and make it short and sweet. Well, oh, just make it short and sweet. So the Prophet says, Adam said, beautiful Hadith, memorize it, three pieces of advice. The profitsystem said, number one, when you stand up to pray, pray as if it's your last prayer.

00:58:46--> 00:58:52

Number two, never say anything that you will have to apologize for tomorrow.

00:58:53--> 00:58:59

Watch what you say. Number three, give up any desire for what other people possess.

00:59:01--> 00:59:07

What other people own. Don't be greedy for it. Okay, this is the advice he gave us who narrated the the Hadith

00:59:09--> 00:59:12

about yoga and Saudi narrated that

00:59:13--> 00:59:21

when they were an expedition on the oceans, this is basically it must be on the way to Constantinople because that's when oh boy who was writing the ocean. And so they

00:59:22--> 01:00:00

had conquest. They had, you know, some war booty that had been distributed. And amongst them were prisoners of war. And one of the women was crying of why you've asked what is her matter? Why is she crying this matter? So they said she has been separated from her child. So have you found her child and gave her gave her the child back? Then the man who had separated the producing the one who's doing all of the the prisoners and whatnot, he went and he complained to Abdullah place the mute about what a

01:00:00--> 01:00:17

You had done. So the Amir then called you and said, Why did you do this? What are you said, I heard the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say, whoever separates between a mother and her children, Allah will separate between him and his loved ones on judgment day.

01:00:19--> 01:00:46

Okay? Meaning that even in the prisoner of war status, even when you are distributing and what not, families will stay together. And again, as I keep on saying the Islamic concept of risk can never be compared with the Western concept of slavery, there's just no comparison. You do not keep families separated, you keep them together. And he insisted that that is going to happen, in this case,

01:00:47--> 01:01:09

one of the a, you know, a lot of data and that he said that the Profit System was brought some food and it had bustle in it. And when he saw it, he said, You eat and he did not eat, and he said, I am not like the rest of you. So, will you himself is narrating. And I mentioned this idea or this incident before that he did not do this because of the angels

01:01:10--> 01:01:25

of warfare, the slave of what you've said that when we were in Egypt, of what you bet on Saudi said, Will law he I don't know what to do with these bathrooms when he's in Egypt. Why? Because they had never had bathrooms in.

01:01:28--> 01:02:10

in Medina, there's no bathrooms, there's no physical structures, you just go out in the open and do what you need to do. I don't know what to do. And they said why he said, because the Prophet salallahu it who said them told us that when one of you goes to urinate or defecate, then he should not turn his back or face the table. And these bathrooms are facing a fibula. So it was a problem for a while you I don't know what to do now. Okay, that you guys don't allow people to go out in the desert and whatnot. And we have to go to these structures. And these structures are pointing in the wrong direction. Now, so our tube, his fatwah to and this isn't a Muslim Ummah we learn from other

01:02:10--> 01:02:52

books, his fatwa was that when you're in those places, you should turn even away even on that sitting like that turned away. But that was his footwork job. But even Abdullah and others, they gave the fatwa that the majority have forgotten later followed. And they said that the issue of don't facing the Qibla. And don't turn your back to it is only one there's nothing between you and the Qibla. When you're out in the open. And when there is any structure between you and the Qibla, then that doesn't count. And this was dependent the majority of the Sahaba. And that's what now as well, is seems to be the correct position as well. So have you felt how Dojin doing this, and that's

01:02:52--> 01:02:59

the federal he gave based on the headache, but the Hadith doesn't. And those days, it was all out in the open. So it's a different thing, and Eliza just knows best.

01:03:01--> 01:03:02

Boy, you've been inside insight, he

01:03:03--> 01:03:47

said, when he was about to die, that I'm going to narrate to you something, I would have hidden it from you. But now that I'm dying, I'm going to tell you about it, I'm going to I wouldn't I would not have told you this Hadith, why did solve so many of the Sahaba not narrate had it until they're about to die, because they were torn between two issues. The first one, the fear that what they're going to say will be misinterpreted, so they're going to carry the sin of misinterpretation. And the second one the fear of hiding knowledge. So if they don't narrate it, I'm worried on judgment day, Allah will ask me why we didn't narrate it. Okay. So they would then narrate Hadith at the very end

01:03:47--> 01:04:01

of their lives, so many of them, and a volume himself narrated quite a few on his deathbed outside of Constantinople, and this is one of them. And when you hear it, you will understand why he's worried to just tell the people this, he said I heard the Prophet sallallahu wasallam say

01:04:03--> 01:04:14

we're it not for the fact that you commit sins, Allah would create another creation that does commit sins, so that he can forgive them.

01:04:15--> 01:04:33

Okay, now this head it can easily be misinterpreted as an encouragement to commit sins. So are you is worried about the stigma of that happening. And that's why he said, I'm not you know, between this issue of the hadith of a boy you in the cinema,

01:04:34--> 01:04:54

what you've narrates the famous Hadith that the processing came to live with us. And so he lived on the bottom and we would live on the top and one day, I just, it just occurred to me and I said to you, we are walking on top of the heads of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So we removed our leaf off our

01:04:55--> 01:05:00

our mattress, and we put it all the way to the corner and then

01:05:00--> 01:05:27

Next day, we went to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and he himself said, the bottom is easier for me as Sue flew out of Abu Dhabi. So our YouTube said, will lie I will never be on top of a roof that the Prophet system is under. And so they switch around after that. So what you have himself narrates that he changed around because he did not want to walk on top of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

01:05:30--> 01:06:24

Here we have in was a Mohammed II who was the Emir of the army that fought Constantinople, and he visited a youth on his deathbed. And a youth said, when I die, then give the people my solemn and inform them that I heard the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say, whoever dies worshiping Allah without associating partners with him, Allah azza wa jal will give him genda and take my body and take it as far as you can into the land of the Romans as much as possible and bury me over there. So when you died, the people heard of his death and they put on their armor and they took his body in the janazah out in the battlefield so this hadith is the Muslim environment and it describes as we

01:06:24--> 01:06:30

said, the catalyst for one of the major assaults against Constantinople and

01:06:33--> 01:06:39

one more Hadith will do or two more time is limited I wanted to do a few more but said inshallah to Allah again.

01:06:41--> 01:06:48

Every time I think I'll do a lot more Hadith but then we go into these tangents Okay, we'll stop here and shallow down and then these are the rest are just Hadeeth where you

01:06:51--> 01:07:33

mirtha demon Abdullah Amazon, he says about a you came to us when he was a warrior, when he was fighting, and Rockabye even army was the governor of Egypt, and one day Rockabye delayed Salatin mockery, so when he came up with a you became angry at him and said, What have you done with this sila or Aqua? Or are you delaying Muslim and rock was the Amir awkward in anger is the leaders well known one of the commanders of the army very famous general in a very famous governor of Egypt, and you becomes angry at the governor, why are you delaying selected Muslim? So, Rocha says I was busy, I got busy. So,

01:07:34--> 01:08:15

you've said will lie. I am worried that the people will think that the Prophet system himself delayed motive to this time, don't you know that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, my own shall forever be upon good, as long as they do not delay Muslim until the stars come out. So the point here, not only the famous Hadith about and that's why all other muda him are very particular about Muslim and out of all of the five prayers. motive is the one that every month is the strictest on to pray it at its proper time, so much. So the shafter you say that you have to pray and it's time that you cannot even delay it, you know till after it's time after even the end time look

01:08:15--> 01:08:55

towards Asia. No, you have to pray that is beginning time. And the point here is that Of what use eagerness to praise Allah and time and his, again, he doesn't care if it was the governor, it doesn't matter to him. He is going to make encode of the moon card and he's going to tell him what needs to be done. And also if you really think about it, this is why the spirits that they had of raw Eman. It was more powerful than the armies of the acids. The simple raw Eman that they had, was more powerful than whatever happened after 100 years. Even though and I've said this many times the civilization of Islam became more powerful, yet the conquest went down.

01:08:56--> 01:09:41

And the reason is obvious and that is the Sahaba had Allah Baraka and allows blessings, what the later did not have and oh boy a huge simplicity of just I want to pray among them now you guys are delaying This is indicative of again, that simple trust and an Allah subhana wa tada and that's what the conquests were based on. They weren't based upon the increase in quantity, they weren't based upon the numerical technology and all of this gives us hope in the time that we live in as well. That it is not the quantity, it is not the preparation. It is not the the you know the materials that we have. It is the quality of our EMR if we have it, then somehow Allah subhana wa adata will

01:09:41--> 01:09:48

give us even our own mini victories in these battles that we are finding in our times and with this inshallah we conclude Oh boy, you
