00:00:06 --> 00:00:07
			Let's move on to

00:00:08 --> 00:00:10
			his nephew insha'allah and let's talk about him

00:00:10 --> 00:00:12
			because you have to see it all

00:00:13 --> 00:00:14
			as one with the Naihta'alam.

00:00:16 --> 00:00:17
			After Arwa,

00:00:17 --> 00:00:18
			bin Mas'ud

00:00:18 --> 00:00:19
			is killed,

00:00:20 --> 00:00:21
			his children

00:00:22 --> 00:00:24
			and his widow

00:00:24 --> 00:00:25
			go to Madinah.

00:00:26 --> 00:00:30
			And his son particularly Abu Moulayhi. Abu Moulayhi

00:00:31 --> 00:00:31
			says

00:00:32 --> 00:00:33
			to his people, he says that I will

00:00:33 --> 00:00:35
			never live with you again after what you

00:00:35 --> 00:00:37
			did to my father. Like, you know, my

00:00:37 --> 00:00:39
			father said not to kill in his name,

00:00:40 --> 00:00:41
			but I'll never live with you. I can't

00:00:41 --> 00:00:42
			be with you

00:00:43 --> 00:00:45
			after what you did to my father. So

00:00:46 --> 00:00:49
			they make their way to Madinah

00:00:49 --> 00:00:50
			and

00:00:50 --> 00:00:53
			all of his children are gonna end up

00:00:53 --> 00:00:54
			dying in Madinah,

00:00:54 --> 00:00:56
			pretty much as all of all of them

00:00:56 --> 00:00:57
			die pretty much dying in Madinah, if not

00:00:57 --> 00:00:59
			all of them, but they will all die

00:00:59 --> 00:01:00
			as Muslims. Abu Moulay,

00:01:01 --> 00:01:01
			A'asan,

00:01:02 --> 00:01:03
			Dawood,

00:01:03 --> 00:01:06
			Humam, Abu Murrah, all of these different children

00:01:06 --> 00:01:07
			that he had and he had a large

00:01:07 --> 00:01:09
			set of children. He also had a brother

00:01:09 --> 00:01:12
			that embraced Islam whose name was Abdullah ibn

00:01:12 --> 00:01:14
			Mas'ud al Saqafi, not the famous Abdullah ibn

00:01:14 --> 00:01:14
			Mas'ud,

00:01:15 --> 00:01:16
			and who's buried in Al Baqir.

00:01:17 --> 00:01:19
			And they make their way to Al Madinah.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21
			So the children now make their way to

00:01:21 --> 00:01:22
			Al Madinah. The chief of Ta'if

00:01:22 --> 00:01:24
			tried to call his people to Islam,

00:01:25 --> 00:01:27
			and he has been killed or the Saqafi

00:01:27 --> 00:01:28
			chief has been killed.

00:01:30 --> 00:01:32
			So you switch over now to Al Madin

00:01:32 --> 00:01:33
			al Munawara.

00:01:34 --> 00:01:35
			His widow,

00:01:36 --> 00:01:37
			Maimouna bint Abi Sufyan,

00:01:38 --> 00:01:39
			will be married by

00:01:40 --> 00:01:41
			Al Murida abnusharaba.

00:01:42 --> 00:01:44
			We're gonna talk about Al Murida abnusharaba.

00:01:45 --> 00:01:47
			It just so happens that

00:01:48 --> 00:01:51
			his granddaughter, Humam, his son had a daughter,

00:01:51 --> 00:01:52
			that is the mother of Al Hajjad ibn

00:01:52 --> 00:01:53
			Yusuf al Saqafi,

00:01:54 --> 00:01:54
			a very famous,

00:01:55 --> 00:01:56
			complicated

00:01:56 --> 00:01:58
			person in Islam, right, who was a tyrant,

00:01:58 --> 00:01:59
			but who also

00:01:59 --> 00:02:01
			has many historical things that are attributed to

00:02:01 --> 00:02:03
			him. So that's from his lineage. Right? So

00:02:03 --> 00:02:05
			his lineage kind of shifts over to Al

00:02:05 --> 00:02:06
			Madinah

00:02:06 --> 00:02:07
			and his mother,

00:02:08 --> 00:02:10
			I'm sorry, his wife, the widow

00:02:10 --> 00:02:11
			marries,

00:02:13 --> 00:02:13
			ibn Shurba,

00:02:14 --> 00:02:15
			athakafi.

00:02:16 --> 00:02:18
			Now let's talk about Al Mughira ibn Shurba

00:02:18 --> 00:02:20
			AllahiAllahu ta'ala Anhu

00:02:21 --> 00:02:22
			because he has a whole story. Everyone has

00:02:22 --> 00:02:24
			a story here and how they come in,

00:02:24 --> 00:02:25
			which is very interesting.

00:02:25 --> 00:02:26
			And

00:02:26 --> 00:02:29
			is the only Sahabi from Saqif, the only

00:02:29 --> 00:02:32
			companion from Saqif that exists in Medina.

00:02:32 --> 00:02:35
			No one else in Medina is from Saqif.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:37
			So it's basically him and Urwa who came

00:02:37 --> 00:02:39
			for that short time, and that's it.

00:02:40 --> 00:02:42
			Al Mughirah ibn Shurba,

00:02:42 --> 00:02:44
			the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

00:02:44 --> 00:02:47
			he said, kanani Nabi Ussalallahu Alaihi Wasallam be

00:02:47 --> 00:02:50
			Abi Erisa, that the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:02:51 --> 00:02:52
			nicknamed me

00:02:52 --> 00:02:53
			Abu

00:02:53 --> 00:02:53
			'Isa.

00:02:54 --> 00:02:57
			And he is from those people that are

00:02:57 --> 00:02:59
			known as Duhatul Arab.

00:03:00 --> 00:03:02
			Duhatul Arab are the most intelligent and most

00:03:02 --> 00:03:04
			cunning of the Arabs.

00:03:04 --> 00:03:05
			He was known for his intelligence.

00:03:06 --> 00:03:08
			He was known for his trickery,

00:03:08 --> 00:03:10
			and he really wasn't a very good man

00:03:10 --> 00:03:11
			before Islam.

00:03:12 --> 00:03:13
			So he employed his trickery

00:03:14 --> 00:03:15
			in all of the worst ways. Now, by

00:03:15 --> 00:03:17
			the way, this is the bodyguard of the

00:03:17 --> 00:03:18
			prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam. Right? So as I

00:03:18 --> 00:03:19
			give you the image,

00:03:19 --> 00:03:21
			he walked in like a guy that's walking

00:03:21 --> 00:03:22
			around the prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam that basically

00:03:22 --> 00:03:24
			assigns himself as a bodyguard. He has a

00:03:24 --> 00:03:25
			rough past,

00:03:26 --> 00:03:29
			and he's described as Duhatul Arab. He was

00:03:29 --> 00:03:29
			tall,

00:03:30 --> 00:03:32
			extremely tall, huge muscles,

00:03:34 --> 00:03:35
			very wide shoulders,

00:03:36 --> 00:03:36
			huge legs.

00:03:37 --> 00:03:39
			His hair was was plentiful and he had

00:03:39 --> 00:03:42
			them tied in 4 braids. Allah radiAllahu ta'ala

00:03:42 --> 00:03:42
			Anhu,

00:03:42 --> 00:03:44
			extremely strong man.

00:03:44 --> 00:03:45
			Right?

00:03:45 --> 00:03:47
			And he's basically gonna assign himself as the

00:03:47 --> 00:03:48
			bodyguard of the prophet sallAllahu alaihi wasalam.

00:03:49 --> 00:03:50
			Like, mohira does security.

00:03:51 --> 00:03:52
			Alright?

00:03:53 --> 00:03:55
			Security. So anyone that's like a bodyguard can,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:56
			like, look to Mogira, and you can find,

00:03:56 --> 00:03:58
			like, some, you can find something from him,

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00
			right, in terms of how he is.

00:04:00 --> 00:04:03
			But his story before Islam is actually not

00:04:04 --> 00:04:06
			a very nice one at all.

00:04:06 --> 00:04:08
			Right? And of course, Islam does away with

00:04:08 --> 00:04:10
			things before and it shows you the redemptive

00:04:10 --> 00:04:11
			power,

00:04:11 --> 00:04:12
			of Islam.

00:04:13 --> 00:04:14
			Basically,

00:04:14 --> 00:04:15
			he left Ta'if,

00:04:17 --> 00:04:19
			and he said that I went out with

00:04:19 --> 00:04:21
			13 men from Ben U Malik.

00:04:22 --> 00:04:24
			Happened to be the tribe that shot

00:04:25 --> 00:04:25
			Rudwa

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27
			with the arrows, the subtribe that shot with

00:04:27 --> 00:04:29
			the arrows. So he said, I went with

00:04:29 --> 00:04:31
			13 of them to Macaukos,

00:04:31 --> 00:04:33
			the the the ruler of Egypt, the Coptic

00:04:33 --> 00:04:34
			in Egypt,

00:04:35 --> 00:04:37
			because Makokos was known to be generous. So

00:04:37 --> 00:04:38
			basically, if Makokos saw people that came to

00:04:38 --> 00:04:41
			him, Makokos would always give you something. He'd

00:04:41 --> 00:04:42
			send you out. He'd invite you into his

00:04:42 --> 00:04:44
			palace. So I went out with them basically

00:04:44 --> 00:04:47
			to go to Egypt to meet maukauskas, and

00:04:47 --> 00:04:49
			someone from that group had a relationship with

00:04:49 --> 00:04:49
			maukauskas.

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52
			Alright? And he said, I was the only

00:04:52 --> 00:04:54
			one that wasn't from their group.

00:04:55 --> 00:04:55
			Right?

00:04:59 --> 00:05:01
			Now the story of Khadabia is going to

00:05:01 --> 00:05:03
			start making sense to you. He said, I

00:05:03 --> 00:05:05
			asked Ruru Abu Nu Mas'ud, my uncle,

00:05:06 --> 00:05:06
			for advice,

00:05:07 --> 00:05:07
			Fenahani.

00:05:08 --> 00:05:09
			He told me, don't do it.

00:05:11 --> 00:05:13
			No one from your, your father's people is

00:05:13 --> 00:05:14
			with you. Right? Like, at the end of

00:05:14 --> 00:05:16
			the day, yeah, you're all kind of friends

00:05:16 --> 00:05:18
			and you're from Thav, but you're not super

00:05:18 --> 00:05:21
			close. If anyone gets left out of this,

00:05:21 --> 00:05:23
			it's gonna be you, so it's dangerous for

00:05:23 --> 00:05:24
			you to go. But he said, you know,

00:05:24 --> 00:05:25
			basically,

00:05:26 --> 00:05:28
			I decided to go

00:05:28 --> 00:05:29
			anyway.

00:05:30 --> 00:05:32
			Alright. Everything I'm about to say, remember, he

00:05:32 --> 00:05:33
			wasn't Muslim at the time.

00:05:34 --> 00:05:36
			So everything he does is not Muslim

00:05:36 --> 00:05:37
			at all at the time.

00:05:38 --> 00:05:40
			So he said, so we entered in. Eventually,

00:05:40 --> 00:05:41
			we tried to get in Mochaqis' face. We

00:05:41 --> 00:05:43
			tried to visit him in his palace. We

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45
			weren't allowed by his guards, but Macaukos came

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47
			to know about us. He met us in

00:05:47 --> 00:05:48
			one of the churches,

00:05:49 --> 00:05:50
			at the time,

00:05:52 --> 00:05:53
			and he

00:05:53 --> 00:05:56
			basically received us, a group of 14 of

00:05:56 --> 00:05:58
			us. And the one that he knew from

00:05:58 --> 00:06:00
			amongst us that was kind of the leader

00:06:00 --> 00:06:02
			amongst us, he brought him, he sat him

00:06:02 --> 00:06:03
			next to him, and he said, aqullukumben

00:06:04 --> 00:06:05
			Bani Malik. Are all of you from Bani

00:06:05 --> 00:06:06
			Malik?

00:06:07 --> 00:06:10
			So the man said, all of us except

00:06:10 --> 00:06:10
			for 1.

00:06:24 --> 00:06:25
			So that basically,

00:06:25 --> 00:06:26
			you know, they

00:06:27 --> 00:06:29
			were given so much, and they basically

00:06:30 --> 00:06:32
			excluded me from everything. So they took all

00:06:32 --> 00:06:33
			the stuff from him, and he gave them

00:06:33 --> 00:06:34
			all sorts of stuff.

00:06:35 --> 00:06:36
			And then he left me out. Said, look,

00:06:36 --> 00:06:38
			I'm not Muslim at the time.

00:06:39 --> 00:06:40
			I was angry. I was upset.

00:06:42 --> 00:06:44
			So and he's smart.

00:06:45 --> 00:06:47
			He said, I realized that it would not

00:06:47 --> 00:06:48
			be a wise idea on the way back

00:06:49 --> 00:06:51
			for me to try to attack all 13

00:06:51 --> 00:06:52
			of them and take their stuff.

00:06:53 --> 00:06:55
			But he said, I came up with something

00:06:55 --> 00:06:55
			else.

00:06:57 --> 00:06:58
			Don't try

00:06:58 --> 00:06:59
			this.

00:06:59 --> 00:07:01
			He said, I basically got a bunch of

00:07:01 --> 00:07:02
			wine

00:07:03 --> 00:07:05
			and I offered them something to drink.

00:07:06 --> 00:07:07
			And I told them, I have a headache,

00:07:07 --> 00:07:08
			so I'm gonna serve you guys. I don't

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10
			want to drink. And he said, I basically

00:07:11 --> 00:07:12
			got them all drunk.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:15
			So I got some really good wine on

00:07:15 --> 00:07:16
			the way

00:07:16 --> 00:07:17
			in Egypt,

00:07:18 --> 00:07:20
			put it, poured it for them over and

00:07:20 --> 00:07:22
			over and over again until they got so

00:07:22 --> 00:07:24
			drunk, they didn't know where they were. And

00:07:24 --> 00:07:25
			then he said, basically, I eliminated them and

00:07:25 --> 00:07:26
			I took all their stuff.

00:07:29 --> 00:07:30
			That's Morida before Islam.

00:07:32 --> 00:07:34
			Islam does away with everything before it.

00:07:35 --> 00:07:36
			So when you see someone that comes out

00:07:36 --> 00:07:37
			of prison or you hear a story of

00:07:37 --> 00:07:39
			a man that killed 99 people,

00:07:40 --> 00:07:41
			Wohira has a rough past.

00:07:42 --> 00:07:44
			He didn't believe in akhira. He didn't believe

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46
			in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So he said,

00:07:46 --> 00:07:47
			I took all their stuff, I tied their

00:07:47 --> 00:07:49
			camels, and I left them behind.

00:07:50 --> 00:07:51
			And he said, basically, I was like, I'm

00:07:51 --> 00:07:53
			just gonna live the rest of my life

00:07:53 --> 00:07:54
			now trading with all of this stuff.

00:07:55 --> 00:07:56
			I don't need to go back to Ta'if.

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58
			I'm good. I'm set with the money that

00:07:58 --> 00:07:59
			I have.

00:07:59 --> 00:08:01
			Until Islam reached him,

00:08:03 --> 00:08:05
			and he wants to become Muslim. Look at

00:08:05 --> 00:08:06
			the stories, subhanAllah.

00:08:07 --> 00:08:08
			So he goes to Medina with all of

00:08:08 --> 00:08:09
			the stuff

00:08:10 --> 00:08:11
			after it's all done.

00:08:12 --> 00:08:13
			It's been some time. He goes to

00:08:14 --> 00:08:14
			Medina

00:08:15 --> 00:08:17
			and he enters into Medina.

00:08:18 --> 00:08:19
			And I'm telling you, man, like the people

00:08:19 --> 00:08:21
			of Ta'if. You get it. Like these people

00:08:21 --> 00:08:22
			that hurt the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam, they've

00:08:22 --> 00:08:24
			all got some character.

00:08:25 --> 00:08:26
			The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam is sitting there

00:08:26 --> 00:08:28
			and Abu Bakr radiAllahu anhu is with him

00:08:28 --> 00:08:29
			and he sees,

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31
			Mughira coming. He's a big man with all

00:08:31 --> 00:08:33
			of these camels and all of the stuff

00:08:34 --> 00:08:36
			and clearly well-to-do. And even though it's been

00:08:36 --> 00:08:37
			some time since that action happened, like at

00:08:37 --> 00:08:39
			this point now, people know what

00:08:40 --> 00:08:40
			happened.

00:08:40 --> 00:08:41
			So

00:08:42 --> 00:08:44
			Abu Bakr says, I'm in Misra'qbaltum.

00:08:44 --> 00:08:45
			Did you come from Egypt?

00:08:48 --> 00:08:48
			Kultunah,

00:08:48 --> 00:08:50
			like, basically to say that I know I

00:08:50 --> 00:08:52
			know what you did. So he said, yeah,

00:08:52 --> 00:08:53
			I came from Egypt.

00:08:56 --> 00:08:58
			What happened to the people from

00:08:59 --> 00:09:01
			Banu Malik? So it's kind of awkward now

00:09:02 --> 00:09:05
			because he has to say that, I mean,

00:09:05 --> 00:09:06
			I got rid of them basically and I

00:09:06 --> 00:09:08
			took their stuff. I stole their stuff.

00:09:08 --> 00:09:10
			But he said, I wasn't Muslim at the

00:09:10 --> 00:09:10
			time.

00:09:11 --> 00:09:12
			This is basically the way that we were

00:09:12 --> 00:09:14
			in Jahiliya. Right? I mean, that was the

00:09:14 --> 00:09:16
			life. That's Jahiliya life.

00:09:17 --> 00:09:18
			You don't believe in akhirah? You try to

00:09:18 --> 00:09:20
			cheat each other. You try exploit each other,

00:09:20 --> 00:09:22
			you take people's stuff. They messed me over,

00:09:22 --> 00:09:23
			so I'm taking them over. You know, I

00:09:23 --> 00:09:24
			took their stuff.

00:09:25 --> 00:09:26
			And he said,

00:09:27 --> 00:09:29
			but he said, I don't want it anymore

00:09:29 --> 00:09:31
			because I want to become Muslim. So he

00:09:31 --> 00:09:32
			said, I want to give it all to

00:09:32 --> 00:09:33
			the prophet salAllahu alaihi wa sallam, and he

00:09:33 --> 00:09:34
			can basically use it for the sake of

00:09:34 --> 00:09:36
			Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. I want to clean

00:09:36 --> 00:09:36
			my hands.

00:09:37 --> 00:09:39
			I want to be forgiven. And that's a

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41
			testimony to his sincerity with the Prophet SallAllahu

00:09:41 --> 00:09:43
			Wa Salam. He's like, take all of the

00:09:43 --> 00:09:43
			stuff.

00:09:44 --> 00:09:46
			And the prophet salallahu alaihi wasalam

00:09:46 --> 00:09:47
			responds

00:09:48 --> 00:09:49
			and he says, imma Islam.

00:09:51 --> 00:09:52
			Okay? Ask for your Islam.

00:09:53 --> 00:09:55
			We can accept your Islam

00:09:55 --> 00:09:56
			but he says,

00:10:02 --> 00:10:03
			So that money is

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05
			treachery, stolen money. I don't want anything to

00:10:05 --> 00:10:06
			do with it.

00:10:07 --> 00:10:09
			So the prophet said I said I can

00:10:09 --> 00:10:10
			accept your Islam.

00:10:10 --> 00:10:12
			I can't accept that stuff.

00:10:13 --> 00:10:15
			Right? You gotta find something else to do

00:10:15 --> 00:10:16
			with that stuff. And now,

00:10:17 --> 00:10:18
			Muhida says, I was so worried. I said,

00:10:18 --> 00:10:20
			You Rasulullah, like, am I forgiven? And the

00:10:20 --> 00:10:23
			prophet assured him that everything that happened before

00:10:23 --> 00:10:25
			Islam, you can be forgiven, but you've got

00:10:25 --> 00:10:26
			to find a way

00:10:27 --> 00:10:28
			to dispose of all of that. There's a

00:10:28 --> 00:10:30
			whole process of,

00:10:30 --> 00:10:32
			you know, undoing the harm that you did

00:10:32 --> 00:10:35
			and different people and all of that, which

00:10:35 --> 00:10:36
			is kind of assumed in the Sira with

00:10:36 --> 00:10:39
			these texts. Right? That, you know, sending things

00:10:39 --> 00:10:42
			back to the tribe or something, but your

00:10:42 --> 00:10:43
			Islam is accepted.

00:10:43 --> 00:10:44
			You can be forgiven,

00:10:45 --> 00:10:46
			but that stuff in the past,

00:10:47 --> 00:10:49
			I'm not taking money that you stole from

00:10:49 --> 00:10:49
			people,

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51
			in that process.

00:10:52 --> 00:10:52
			So basically,

00:10:53 --> 00:10:56
			he accepted Islam, he stayed in Medina,

00:10:56 --> 00:10:57
			he's the only

00:10:58 --> 00:11:01
			Ta'afi, Thakafi that's living in Medina with the

00:11:01 --> 00:11:01
			Prophet

00:11:02 --> 00:11:04
			Now comes back to Hudavia.

00:11:04 --> 00:11:06
			He's standing next to the Prophet sallallahu alaihi

00:11:06 --> 00:11:08
			wa sallam, armored up.

00:11:09 --> 00:11:10
			Right? Because he says,

00:11:11 --> 00:11:14
			that the prophet went out, wakuntu akunummaasadiq.

00:11:15 --> 00:11:17
			He said that I used to be as

00:11:17 --> 00:11:18
			close to the prophet as Abu Bakr radiAllahu

00:11:18 --> 00:11:20
			alaihi wa sama. I basically took it upon

00:11:20 --> 00:11:22
			myself to be by his side all the

00:11:22 --> 00:11:23
			time. I wanted to protect the prophet salallahu

00:11:23 --> 00:11:25
			alaihi wa sallam at all costs. And he's

00:11:25 --> 00:11:26
			smart. He's that guy that knows how to

00:11:26 --> 00:11:29
			analyze a place, that knows how to read

00:11:29 --> 00:11:29
			a situation.

00:11:30 --> 00:11:32
			He's with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. He

00:11:32 --> 00:11:34
			says, fakuntu arzamu. I was always with the

00:11:34 --> 00:11:36
			Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:11:36 --> 00:11:37
			And then

00:11:38 --> 00:11:39
			I saw my uncle approach the prophet salallahu

00:11:39 --> 00:11:40
			alaihi wa sallam in Hudavia,

00:11:41 --> 00:11:42
			and my uncle

00:11:43 --> 00:11:44
			tried to put his hand on the prophet

00:11:44 --> 00:11:47
			salallahu alaihi wa sallam's beard, and I hit

00:11:47 --> 00:11:49
			the hand of my uncle. And I told

00:11:49 --> 00:11:50
			him, if you want your hand back,

00:11:50 --> 00:11:52
			I suggest you don't put it on the

00:11:52 --> 00:11:53
			beard of the prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam again.

00:11:54 --> 00:11:56
			And he said, that's when my uncle

00:11:57 --> 00:11:59
			said to me,

00:12:05 --> 00:12:06
			that I'm still paying off,

00:12:07 --> 00:12:08
			still cleaning myself

00:12:08 --> 00:12:09
			from your mess

00:12:10 --> 00:12:12
			because what happened back in Ta'if when he

00:12:12 --> 00:12:14
			did that was that Urwa ibn Mas'ud was

00:12:14 --> 00:12:16
			the closest relative to Muhira.

00:12:17 --> 00:12:19
			So Urwa had to pay all of the

00:12:19 --> 00:12:21
			blood money and the compensation and basically try

00:12:21 --> 00:12:23
			to make peace with Ben U Malik cause

00:12:23 --> 00:12:25
			his nephew was the one that did what

00:12:25 --> 00:12:27
			he did. So Ir was like, you've got

00:12:27 --> 00:12:28
			to be kidding me. I'm cleaning up your

00:12:28 --> 00:12:29
			mast and ta'af.

00:12:30 --> 00:12:32
			I just finished last night

00:12:32 --> 00:12:34
			finally dealing with I mean, obviously, it's it's

00:12:34 --> 00:12:36
			a figure of speech, but I just finished

00:12:36 --> 00:12:37
			cleaning up your Mas'in Ta'af.

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40
			And now here I am in Hudaybiyah, and

00:12:40 --> 00:12:41
			you're the one knocking my hand and standing

00:12:41 --> 00:12:43
			next to the prophet sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam.

00:12:43 --> 00:12:44
			Like, talk about a moment where it all

00:12:44 --> 00:12:45
			comes back,

00:12:46 --> 00:12:49
			in my face. He's like, I'm different now.

00:12:49 --> 00:12:51
			And of course, he is from the,

00:12:52 --> 00:12:52
			companions

00:12:53 --> 00:12:55
			of Bayatr Ridwan, from the companions of those

00:12:55 --> 00:12:57
			who took the pledge with the prophet under

00:12:57 --> 00:12:59
			the tree and who Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

00:12:59 --> 00:13:00
			mentioned that he was pleased with. So his

00:13:00 --> 00:13:03
			Islam is sincere. His repentance is sincere. But

00:13:03 --> 00:13:04
			what a past.

00:13:05 --> 00:13:06
			Urwa has a

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08
			past. He's got a past.

00:13:08 --> 00:13:08
			Right?

00:13:09 --> 00:13:11
			And these are the only 2, like, Muslims

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13
			of Fa'if that we know at this point

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15
			that are with the Prophet Sallallahu

00:13:16 --> 00:13:17
			Alaihi Wasallam.

00:13:18 --> 00:13:18
			Fast forward.

00:13:20 --> 00:13:22
			How does it all come full circle now

00:13:22 --> 00:13:24
			with the 2 of these figures involved?

00:13:25 --> 00:13:27
			The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:13:27 --> 00:13:30
			placed Ta'af under siege and he left them.

00:13:30 --> 00:13:32
			And he made dua' that Thaqif would come

00:13:32 --> 00:13:33
			back to them as Muslims, that Allah would

00:13:33 --> 00:13:34
			eventually

00:13:35 --> 00:13:35
			guide them.

00:13:37 --> 00:13:37
			Urwa

00:13:38 --> 00:13:39
			comes back to his people

00:13:40 --> 00:13:41
			and they killed,

00:13:42 --> 00:13:42
			when

00:13:44 --> 00:13:46
			he called them to Islam, that was after

00:13:46 --> 00:13:46
			the siege of Ta'if.

00:13:47 --> 00:13:49
			They thought to themselves,

00:13:50 --> 00:13:51
			oh,

00:13:51 --> 00:13:52
			we just killed

00:13:53 --> 00:13:55
			Arawab and Mas'ud, and now he's with the

00:13:55 --> 00:13:57
			Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam. He's aligned with the

00:13:57 --> 00:13:58
			Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:13:59 --> 00:14:01
			Let's hurry up and send a delegation to

00:14:01 --> 00:14:01
			Madinah

00:14:02 --> 00:14:04
			so that we can basically come to peace

00:14:04 --> 00:14:06
			with the Prophet We don't want like what

00:14:06 --> 00:14:07
			we did to Urwa

00:14:07 --> 00:14:09
			to cause a war between us and the

00:14:09 --> 00:14:11
			Prophet and Madinah.

00:14:11 --> 00:14:14
			So they send, Subhanahu Wa'arua actually achieves what

00:14:14 --> 00:14:16
			he wanted. This is minal mumineen radijaal l'an

00:14:16 --> 00:14:18
			sadaqur, the truthfulness of intention.

00:14:26 --> 00:14:28
			As a delegation to the Prophet

00:14:29 --> 00:14:31
			to basically make peace with the Prophet

00:14:33 --> 00:14:34
			So

00:14:34 --> 00:14:35
			13

00:14:36 --> 00:14:38
			thought if he's come to Madinah to meet

00:14:38 --> 00:14:39
			the prophet salAllahu alaihi wa sallam in Madinah

00:14:40 --> 00:14:41
			with everything that they did.

00:14:42 --> 00:14:44
			Imagine if you were the prophet salAllahu alaihi

00:14:44 --> 00:14:44
			wa sallam.

00:14:46 --> 00:14:47
			You people

00:14:47 --> 00:14:50
			stoned me, spit on me, almost killed me,

00:14:50 --> 00:14:52
			put me through the worst of the worst.

00:14:53 --> 00:14:56
			Now you're coming into my city and everybody

00:14:56 --> 00:14:56
			here

00:14:57 --> 00:14:59
			would understand, and you killed

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03
			my emissary. You killed the Urwa, your own

00:15:03 --> 00:15:04
			chief, who I sent back to you as

00:15:04 --> 00:15:05
			a Muslim.

00:15:05 --> 00:15:06
			Imagine if you're the prophet

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09
			Now it's time for revenge. Right? It's payback

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11
			time for all that you did. No.

00:15:13 --> 00:15:15
			The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:15:16 --> 00:15:18
			is about to enter into Ramadan, and he

00:15:18 --> 00:15:19
			hears about the delegation that's coming.

00:15:21 --> 00:15:21
			Mughira

00:15:23 --> 00:15:24
			comes to the Prophet

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27
			and he says, You Rasool Allah,

00:15:27 --> 00:15:28
			Abna'ur Umumati

00:15:29 --> 00:15:30
			Urdu an Ukrimahum.

00:15:30 --> 00:15:32
			Said, You Rasool Allah, these are my cousins.

00:15:33 --> 00:15:35
			Let me let me be the one to

00:15:35 --> 00:15:37
			honor them. Can I have the honor of

00:15:37 --> 00:15:38
			receiving them? And this is after obviously what

00:15:38 --> 00:15:40
			he did to them. And so part of

00:15:40 --> 00:15:42
			what's implied in that, I kinda did something

00:15:42 --> 00:15:43
			really bad to them before.

00:15:44 --> 00:15:45
			Maybe this is a way that I can

00:15:45 --> 00:15:47
			also because they're from Ben U Malik. I

00:15:47 --> 00:15:48
			can also kinda make peace with them. Let

00:15:48 --> 00:15:50
			me be the one to receive them in

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52
			Medina, kinda win back the hearts,

00:15:52 --> 00:15:55
			come back to that agreement with them, sort

00:15:55 --> 00:15:56
			of bring back the tribe.

00:15:57 --> 00:15:59
			The Prophet said, okay,

00:16:00 --> 00:16:01
			but with a condition.

00:16:01 --> 00:16:03
			He said, what's the condition?

00:16:04 --> 00:16:04
			The Prophet

00:16:05 --> 00:16:05
			said,

00:16:06 --> 00:16:07
			pitch

00:16:07 --> 00:16:08
			a tent for them

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11
			right in the corner of the Masjid.

00:16:12 --> 00:16:13
			Why?

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20
			They can hear us reading the Quran.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:23
			They can watch us pray so that their

00:16:23 --> 00:16:24
			hearts can soften.

00:16:25 --> 00:16:25
			SubhanAllah,

00:16:29 --> 00:16:31
			I'm not interested in revenge.

00:16:32 --> 00:16:33
			Let them just see us in our element.

00:16:33 --> 00:16:35
			Can you imagine Ramadan with the prophets salAllahu

00:16:35 --> 00:16:36
			alaihi salam

00:16:37 --> 00:16:37
			in Madinah?

00:16:38 --> 00:16:40
			Just let them watch us in Ramadan. At

00:16:40 --> 00:16:42
			this point now, the community is developed.

00:16:42 --> 00:16:44
			Right? People from all over the world and

00:16:44 --> 00:16:45
			in Madinah.

00:16:45 --> 00:16:48
			Let them come. Set them up

00:16:48 --> 00:16:50
			right next to the masjid, so that they

00:16:50 --> 00:16:51
			can hear the Quran

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54
			and so that they can watch us pray.

00:16:55 --> 00:16:55
			The story

00:16:56 --> 00:16:58
			still takes many twists and turns.

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00
			If you were to read in Sunan Abu

00:17:00 --> 00:17:01
			Dawood, Majaafi habbarata'af,

00:17:02 --> 00:17:05
			what has been narrated about Ta'af, you can

00:17:05 --> 00:17:07
			see about how weird the conversation becomes with

00:17:07 --> 00:17:09
			the Prophet SAW Hassan, Banu Taqif. I mean,

00:17:09 --> 00:17:11
			you've got some nerve with everything you did

00:17:11 --> 00:17:12
			to the Prophet SAW Hassan to come here

00:17:12 --> 00:17:15
			with any expectations. Right? With any type of

00:17:15 --> 00:17:16
			of demands.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:18
			They come to the prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam

00:17:19 --> 00:17:19
			and

00:17:20 --> 00:17:22
			after they've kind of seen it and Islam

00:17:22 --> 00:17:24
			is starting to enter into their heart,

00:17:25 --> 00:17:26
			they say, alright. Listen.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:28
			We'll become Muslim but we have all these

00:17:28 --> 00:17:29
			conditions.

00:17:31 --> 00:17:32
			What are your conditions?

00:17:33 --> 00:17:36
			They said, zina, we're not giving that up.

00:17:36 --> 00:17:38
			Adultery, fornication,

00:17:39 --> 00:17:39
			sorry.

00:17:41 --> 00:17:42
			Prophet said,

00:17:43 --> 00:17:46
			what's haram is haram. I can't make haram

00:17:46 --> 00:17:48
			halal. I can't tell you, no. You can

00:17:48 --> 00:17:51
			continue to commit adultery and just be Muslim

00:17:51 --> 00:17:52
			as a condition of your Islam.

00:17:53 --> 00:17:55
			And he said, no noble people will continue

00:17:55 --> 00:17:57
			to do this. Like it's not noble. SubhanAllah,

00:17:58 --> 00:17:59
			there are so many different,

00:18:00 --> 00:18:02
			conversations that happen here. There is one man

00:18:02 --> 00:18:03
			who came and he had 10 wives,

00:18:04 --> 00:18:05
			10 wives.

00:18:05 --> 00:18:07
			So he said, I'm keeping all 10 of

00:18:07 --> 00:18:09
			them. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, no

00:18:09 --> 00:18:09
			you're not.

00:18:10 --> 00:18:11
			He said sallallahu alaihi wasallam,

00:18:15 --> 00:18:17
			Islam limited this.

00:18:17 --> 00:18:19
			You have to divorce 6.

00:18:21 --> 00:18:23
			So, alright, we don't like this, but we'll

00:18:23 --> 00:18:24
			keep talking.

00:18:24 --> 00:18:26
			Riba, usury interest,

00:18:27 --> 00:18:28
			we wanna keep doing it.

00:18:29 --> 00:18:31
			We trade in riba. That's how we make

00:18:31 --> 00:18:31
			our money.

00:18:32 --> 00:18:33
			Now you can imagine, like, the prophet salAllahu

00:18:33 --> 00:18:35
			alaihi wa sallam could say, Muhira, can you

00:18:35 --> 00:18:36
			just finish the rest of these off the

00:18:36 --> 00:18:38
			way you did back in Egypt?

00:18:38 --> 00:18:40
			I'm kinda tired of you guys. Go back

00:18:40 --> 00:18:42
			get out of here. Like, you're you're crazy

00:18:42 --> 00:18:43
			to think this.

00:18:43 --> 00:18:45
			But they said, riba,

00:18:45 --> 00:18:47
			we still want to deal in riba. And

00:18:47 --> 00:18:48
			the prophet said,

00:18:51 --> 00:18:52
			Look, you have the profit of what you

00:18:52 --> 00:18:54
			earn. You don't wrong and you, you don't

00:18:54 --> 00:18:55
			be wronged.

00:18:56 --> 00:18:57
			Right? Riba

00:18:57 --> 00:18:58
			is not halal.

00:18:59 --> 00:19:01
			Riba is not going to be halal for

00:19:01 --> 00:19:02
			you in any situation.

00:19:03 --> 00:19:03
			Okay?

00:19:04 --> 00:19:05
			So we have that. Shout out to a

00:19:05 --> 00:19:06
			continuous charity

00:19:07 --> 00:19:08
			sponsorship.

00:19:09 --> 00:19:12
			Look them up. No riba. Okay? So no

00:19:12 --> 00:19:14
			zina, no Riba. They're like, all right. This

00:19:14 --> 00:19:15
			is really

00:19:16 --> 00:19:18
			like, all right. They say to the Prophet

00:19:20 --> 00:19:21
			we're not going

00:19:21 --> 00:19:23
			to fight with you. No jihad,

00:19:23 --> 00:19:26
			no zakah. We're not going to spend money.

00:19:26 --> 00:19:28
			So no battles. We don't want to get

00:19:28 --> 00:19:29
			involved in any battles.

00:19:29 --> 00:19:30
			And no

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31
			zakam, no sadaqa.

00:19:34 --> 00:19:35
			The Prophet

00:19:36 --> 00:19:39
			is listening to them and the Prophet SallAllahu

00:19:39 --> 00:19:40
			Alaihi Wasallam says,

00:19:42 --> 00:19:42
			okay.

00:19:43 --> 00:19:44
			Umar was

00:19:45 --> 00:19:46
			like, wait a minute.

00:19:47 --> 00:19:49
			These are hypocrites. We're gonna take them out.

00:19:49 --> 00:19:51
			The prophet sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam says, listen.

00:19:54 --> 00:19:56
			I know how these people are. Once they

00:19:56 --> 00:19:59
			become Muslim, they're gonna fight alongside us and

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00
			they're gonna give their zakah. They're gonna give

00:20:00 --> 00:20:01
			their sadaqa.

00:20:01 --> 00:20:03
			Like don't worry, Omar, I know what I'm

00:20:03 --> 00:20:04
			doing here. Right?

00:20:05 --> 00:20:05
			They said

00:20:06 --> 00:20:08
			5 times a day salah, we don't want

00:20:08 --> 00:20:09
			to pray.

00:20:10 --> 00:20:11
			What do you want? We'll we'll say La

00:20:11 --> 00:20:14
			ilaha illallah Muhammadu Rasool Allah like we'll ally

00:20:14 --> 00:20:16
			ourselves to you, but no prayer, no sadaqah,

00:20:17 --> 00:20:17
			no

00:20:18 --> 00:20:20
			fasting, no no no fighting.

00:20:21 --> 00:20:22
			We still do zina. We still do it,

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24
			but like, what kind of Islam is this?

00:20:24 --> 00:20:26
			The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam says, listen, as

00:20:26 --> 00:20:28
			if how it's so beautiful, he says, la

00:20:28 --> 00:20:30
			khayra fidin laysafihe rukur. What good is there

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32
			in a religion with no prayer?

00:20:32 --> 00:20:34
			What good is there in a religion with

00:20:34 --> 00:20:34
			no prayer?

00:20:35 --> 00:20:37
			They said, alright. Well, negotiate with us. We

00:20:37 --> 00:20:38
			don't like 5 prayers. Can we do 2

00:20:38 --> 00:20:39
			2 times a day?

00:20:41 --> 00:20:41
			Prophet

00:20:41 --> 00:20:43
			says, you know what? Fine. Pray twice a

00:20:43 --> 00:20:44
			day.

00:20:45 --> 00:20:46
			Umar is like,

00:20:47 --> 00:20:49
			you're rocking my world here. This is not

00:20:49 --> 00:20:51
			what we're used to. Right? We're used to

00:20:51 --> 00:20:53
			when someone says you're becoming Muslim, It's 5

00:20:53 --> 00:20:54
			times a day out the gate. What are

00:20:54 --> 00:20:55
			you doing?

00:20:55 --> 00:20:57
			Just pray in the morning and evening. The

00:20:57 --> 00:20:59
			prophet says, Sofia Saloon. They're gonna pray, Omar.

00:20:59 --> 00:21:01
			Just let them get over this hump. I

00:21:01 --> 00:21:02
			know what they're doing.

00:21:03 --> 00:21:06
			They're they're from Fateef. They're tough. We've dealt

00:21:06 --> 00:21:06
			with them enough.

00:21:07 --> 00:21:07
			Right?

00:21:09 --> 00:21:12
			Then at the end, the prophet sallallahu alaihi

00:21:12 --> 00:21:12
			wa sallam,

00:21:13 --> 00:21:14
			he says

00:21:14 --> 00:21:16
			they said, alright. What's the last thing? He

00:21:16 --> 00:21:18
			said, your idol, Allat, has to go. You

00:21:18 --> 00:21:20
			can't worship an idol anymore. You would think

00:21:20 --> 00:21:22
			that's the most common sense part of this

00:21:22 --> 00:21:23
			is get rid of your idol.

00:21:24 --> 00:21:25
			They said, absolutely not.

00:21:27 --> 00:21:28
			They said, if we try to get rid

00:21:28 --> 00:21:29
			of the idol, the idol is going to

00:21:29 --> 00:21:31
			destroy us. Halakna.

00:21:32 --> 00:21:33
			We try to hurt that idol, and Allat

00:21:33 --> 00:21:35
			was, by the way, a huge idol built

00:21:35 --> 00:21:38
			of stones. We try to hurt Allat, Allat

00:21:38 --> 00:21:39
			is gonna destroy us.

00:21:40 --> 00:21:43
			Umar RadiAllahu Anhu couldn't, like, hold himself. Umar

00:21:43 --> 00:21:46
			RadiAllahu Anhu says, way hekaya kinana. Kinana was

00:21:46 --> 00:21:48
			the one speaking on behalf of him. Arajun

00:21:48 --> 00:21:49
			Ahmadka literally are you stupid?

00:21:50 --> 00:21:52
			Are you really that thick headed? What is

00:21:52 --> 00:21:53
			wrong with you?

00:21:54 --> 00:21:55
			He says, atahafunam

00:21:55 --> 00:21:57
			and Hejada, you're afraid of stone?

00:21:57 --> 00:21:59
			You're afraid of these rocks? You built that

00:21:59 --> 00:22:01
			idol. You think that idol is gonna be

00:22:01 --> 00:22:02
			able to hurt you?

00:22:03 --> 00:22:05
			And Kinana responds to him and says,

00:22:07 --> 00:22:08
			We didn't come to you, Ubana Khattab. We're

00:22:08 --> 00:22:10
			talking to Muhammad Leave us alone.

00:22:11 --> 00:22:13
			Let us negotiate here with the prophet

00:22:14 --> 00:22:15
			The prophet

00:22:15 --> 00:22:16
			is showing patience with them.

00:22:17 --> 00:22:19
			He says, Yohudam, the idol has to go.

00:22:20 --> 00:22:22
			They said, You Rasool Allah,

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24
			everything but that. He said, Yohedam,

00:22:25 --> 00:22:26
			the idol has to go. Like I can't

00:22:26 --> 00:22:28
			negotiate with you on idol worship here.

00:22:29 --> 00:22:31
			They said, fine. Look at how thick headed

00:22:31 --> 00:22:32
			they are. They said,

00:22:35 --> 00:22:36
			send someone else to destroy it because we're

00:22:36 --> 00:22:37
			not gonna destroy it with our own hands

00:22:37 --> 00:22:39
			because Allat is probably gonna hurt someone if

00:22:39 --> 00:22:41
			you try to destroy it. Like, it's still

00:22:41 --> 00:22:43
			in them. It's the ignorance is still in

00:22:43 --> 00:22:43
			them.

00:22:44 --> 00:22:46
			Prophet says fine.

00:22:46 --> 00:22:48
			Mughira, go with them.

00:22:50 --> 00:22:51
			So Mughira of Neshuraba,

00:22:52 --> 00:22:55
			after killing 13 of them in Jahiliyyah,

00:22:55 --> 00:22:57
			never gone back as a fugitive,

00:22:57 --> 00:23:00
			Muhira's like, oh, I'd love this. I'm gonna

00:23:00 --> 00:23:00
			go back

00:23:01 --> 00:23:03
			with them to destroy Allat.

00:23:03 --> 00:23:05
			Go back with them to destroy the idol.

00:23:05 --> 00:23:06
			So Mughira goes,

00:23:06 --> 00:23:09
			Khaled radiAllahu anhu says, I'm coming with you.

00:23:09 --> 00:23:10
			Because

00:23:10 --> 00:23:12
			they don't trust obviously the way this can

00:23:12 --> 00:23:13
			go. I mean, this could easily turn into,

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15
			like, alright. You remember what you did back

00:23:15 --> 00:23:15
			in the day?

00:23:16 --> 00:23:18
			Take them out on the way. Right?

00:23:19 --> 00:23:20
			Mokhira goes with them

00:23:21 --> 00:23:24
			and they get to 'ta'af and

00:23:26 --> 00:23:26
			Mokhira

00:23:26 --> 00:23:29
			starts to climb up a lot. When I

00:23:29 --> 00:23:30
			say this guy is a character,

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32
			this man is a character. SubhanAllah.

00:23:33 --> 00:23:35
			So as Muhgira is climbing up a lot

00:23:35 --> 00:23:37
			because it's a huge stone,

00:23:37 --> 00:23:39
			he puts his hand up, and then

00:23:39 --> 00:23:40
			he

00:23:40 --> 00:23:41
			goes

00:23:42 --> 00:23:43
			and then they all go,

00:23:44 --> 00:23:45
			and they're like,

00:23:46 --> 00:23:49
			oh, his hand is paralyzed. And Muhira goes,

00:23:49 --> 00:23:49
			my back.

00:23:51 --> 00:23:54
			They're like, a lot, a lot, a lot.

00:23:55 --> 00:23:56
			And then Moira goes,

00:23:57 --> 00:23:58
			basically, you silly people.

00:23:59 --> 00:24:01
			And he said, I told you this thing

00:24:01 --> 00:24:02
			can't do anything to you. And he starts

00:24:02 --> 00:24:05
			beating down a lot and he destroys it

00:24:05 --> 00:24:07
			just to show them how silly

00:24:08 --> 00:24:09
			their idol worship was

00:24:10 --> 00:24:10
			and how,

00:24:11 --> 00:24:12
			everything that they thought

00:24:12 --> 00:24:15
			about Allat, was not real. And so in

00:24:15 --> 00:24:18
			that, SubhanAllah, you have the rest of them.

00:24:18 --> 00:24:19
			So now you have Irwa,

00:24:19 --> 00:24:22
			you have Al Muhira, you have the children,

00:24:22 --> 00:24:24
			and they all are now Muslims.

00:24:25 --> 00:24:26
			And Ta'if

00:24:26 --> 00:24:29
			finally starts to taste the sweetness of Al

00:24:29 --> 00:24:30
			Islam as a takif

00:24:31 --> 00:24:31
			enters

00:24:32 --> 00:24:33
			into an Islam.

00:24:33 --> 00:24:36
			I wanna give you just in in conclusion

00:24:36 --> 00:24:38
			here, insha Allah, a few things about Al

00:24:38 --> 00:24:39
			Mughirah ibn Shuradda.

00:24:40 --> 00:24:41
			Your character doesn't

00:24:41 --> 00:24:43
			you know, there's something about you. Your character

00:24:43 --> 00:24:45
			is refined in Islam, but Al Muhirah was

00:24:45 --> 00:24:48
			a smart man. And his whole life, subhanAllah,

00:24:48 --> 00:24:49
			the man was brilliant.

00:24:50 --> 00:24:52
			He literally stuck to the Prophet SAW, set

00:24:52 --> 00:24:54
			himself up as the bodyguard of the Prophet

00:24:54 --> 00:24:55
			SAW, standing in front of the door of

00:24:55 --> 00:24:57
			the Prophet SAW, moving with the Prophet SAW,

00:24:58 --> 00:25:00
			And you find, subhanAllah, he narrates

00:25:00 --> 00:25:02
			so many ahadith about the wudu of the

00:25:02 --> 00:25:04
			prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, about the travel

00:25:04 --> 00:25:05
			habits of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,

00:25:05 --> 00:25:06
			about all of these different things with the

00:25:06 --> 00:25:08
			messenger of Allah, SallAllahu

00:25:08 --> 00:25:09
			Alaihi Wasallam. And,

00:25:11 --> 00:25:13
			after the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam passes away,

00:25:13 --> 00:25:14
			I want to leave his story with the

00:25:14 --> 00:25:15
			death of the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam to

00:25:15 --> 00:25:16
			the end.

00:25:16 --> 00:25:17
			Umar

00:25:18 --> 00:25:19
			put him in charge of Al Bahrain,

00:25:20 --> 00:25:22
			and he was the governor of Bahrain for

00:25:22 --> 00:25:22
			some time.

00:25:23 --> 00:25:24
			He put him in charge of Kufa, and

00:25:24 --> 00:25:25
			he put him in charge of Basra. So

00:25:25 --> 00:25:27
			Umar radiAllahu anhu used him as a governor

00:25:27 --> 00:25:29
			3 times. I mean, he's a very capable

00:25:29 --> 00:25:29
			man.

00:25:30 --> 00:25:32
			And Bahrain, some of the people didn't like

00:25:32 --> 00:25:33
			him because they felt him to be a

00:25:33 --> 00:25:35
			little bit too tough, and Omar liked him

00:25:35 --> 00:25:35
			because he was tough.

00:25:36 --> 00:25:38
			Alright? So they plotted against him.

00:25:39 --> 00:25:40
			And there was a group of men, they

00:25:40 --> 00:25:42
			said, Omar hates people who bribe. Right? So

00:25:42 --> 00:25:44
			look at the plot that they came up

00:25:44 --> 00:25:46
			with. They said that this group of businessmen,

00:25:46 --> 00:25:48
			they said that we're gonna give a 100,000

00:25:48 --> 00:25:50
			to one of us and that person go

00:25:50 --> 00:25:53
			to Omar radiAllahu anhu and say, hey, Mughira

00:25:53 --> 00:25:55
			took this from Baytul Mal, from the treasury,

00:25:56 --> 00:25:57
			and he bribed us with this, and we

00:25:57 --> 00:25:58
			wanted to bring it back to you out

00:25:58 --> 00:25:59
			of nobility.

00:26:00 --> 00:26:02
			So they came to Umar Radiallahu Anhu in

00:26:02 --> 00:26:05
			Madinah, said, we got a 100,000 dirhams. Mughira

00:26:05 --> 00:26:06
			bribed us in Bahrain

00:26:07 --> 00:26:08
			and we want to kind of turn them

00:26:08 --> 00:26:10
			in and give this back to you. So

00:26:10 --> 00:26:12
			Umar Radiallahu Anhu calls in Muhira.

00:26:12 --> 00:26:14
			Muhira walks in, says, what's going on? Umar

00:26:14 --> 00:26:16
			Radiallahu Anhu says, these people are saying you

00:26:16 --> 00:26:18
			bribed them with a 100,000 from Baytul Ma'am.

00:26:18 --> 00:26:20
			He said, yeah. Where's the other 100,000?

00:26:22 --> 00:26:23
			So what are you talking about? He said,

00:26:23 --> 00:26:24
			I gave you 200.

00:26:25 --> 00:26:27
			And he starts, like, frightening the man.

00:26:27 --> 00:26:29
			And the man basically breaks under pressure and

00:26:29 --> 00:26:30
			tells the whole story

00:26:31 --> 00:26:33
			that he lied about the whole thing.

00:26:34 --> 00:26:35
			So Umar

00:26:35 --> 00:26:38
			said, why did you do that? And he

00:26:38 --> 00:26:39
			said, because I wanted them to know that

00:26:39 --> 00:26:40
			lying never benefits them. So I wanted to

00:26:40 --> 00:26:42
			sort of put them back in their place.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:44
			Right? That that that's not going to work.

00:26:44 --> 00:26:44
			So Umar

00:26:45 --> 00:26:47
			put him in charge of many different,

00:26:48 --> 00:26:50
			cities. He sent him as an emissary to

00:26:50 --> 00:26:52
			many different leaders.

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54
			He was the messenger from Sa'ad ibn Abi

00:26:54 --> 00:26:54
			Waqqas

00:26:55 --> 00:26:57
			to Rustum before the Battle of Qadisiyyah, the

00:26:57 --> 00:26:58
			leader of Persia.

00:27:00 --> 00:27:02
			He lost an eye in the Battle of

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04
			Yarmouk under Khal Nwaleed radiAllahu 'anhu. So he

00:27:04 --> 00:27:05
			was someone who was fierce in the battlefield.

00:27:06 --> 00:27:07
			He was one of those, subhanAllah, who when

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10
			the fitna happens in the Sahaba, he completely

00:27:10 --> 00:27:12
			left the fitna. He didn't want to take

00:27:12 --> 00:27:15
			any side. So he left everything, sort of

00:27:15 --> 00:27:17
			public life, for years until that all blew

00:27:17 --> 00:27:18
			over.

00:27:18 --> 00:27:20
			And then he went on to once again

00:27:20 --> 00:27:22
			become the governor of Kufa during the time

00:27:22 --> 00:27:23
			of Muawiyah

00:27:24 --> 00:27:26
			and, he would pass away in Kufa 50

00:27:26 --> 00:27:28
			years after Hijra. That's probably why he said

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29
			he was just so smart.

00:27:30 --> 00:27:31
			And so he just had this intelligence and

00:27:31 --> 00:27:33
			this street smart to him. And that's sort

00:27:33 --> 00:27:34
			of, again, that type of person you want

00:27:34 --> 00:27:36
			around you to sort of read people's body

00:27:36 --> 00:27:39
			language, read behavior, that bodyguard of the prophet

00:27:39 --> 00:27:41
			sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. So they said he

00:27:41 --> 00:27:42
			used to, you know, he used to be

00:27:42 --> 00:27:44
			so cunning. And he said there was only

00:27:44 --> 00:27:46
			one man that ever tricked him.

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48
			One man that ever tricked him. And that

00:27:48 --> 00:27:50
			was that Muhiro wanted to marry someone.

00:27:51 --> 00:27:52
			And as he was about to marry this

00:27:52 --> 00:27:53
			woman,

00:27:54 --> 00:27:57
			he asked this man, he said, you know,

00:27:57 --> 00:27:58
			what do you think? Should I marry her?

00:27:58 --> 00:28:01
			And the man responded and he said, she's

00:28:01 --> 00:28:03
			no good. I saw her kiss a man.

00:28:04 --> 00:28:06
			So Morita said, oh, okay. So he moved

00:28:06 --> 00:28:07
			on. Then the next day he saw her

00:28:07 --> 00:28:08
			married to him.

00:28:09 --> 00:28:11
			So Morita said, what happened? He said, I

00:28:11 --> 00:28:12
			saw her kiss her father.

00:28:13 --> 00:28:15
			So Morihirah says, you're the only person in

00:28:15 --> 00:28:17
			my life who ever outsmarted me.

00:28:17 --> 00:28:18
			Right? You tricked me.

00:28:19 --> 00:28:21
			But he passed away

00:28:23 --> 00:28:24
			in Al Kufa.

00:28:24 --> 00:28:25
			And,

00:28:25 --> 00:28:28
			subhanAllah, there's so much about him. Jabir, radiAllahu

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29
			ta'ala Anhu, said,

00:28:40 --> 00:28:41
			He said that I was within Mughira. He

00:28:41 --> 00:28:44
			said if Madinah had 8 doors and no

00:28:44 --> 00:28:46
			one could escape except through, you know, plotting

00:28:46 --> 00:28:49
			and using some sort of scheme, he said,

00:28:49 --> 00:28:50
			I would trust that Muhida would get out

00:28:50 --> 00:28:52
			of all 8 of them. That's how smart

00:28:52 --> 00:28:54
			he was radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu.

00:28:54 --> 00:28:57
			And when he passed away, subhanAllah, several kids,

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59
			the best of his kids was

00:29:01 --> 00:29:02
			So he named one of his children after

00:29:02 --> 00:29:03
			his uncle,

00:29:04 --> 00:29:06
			and his son, became

00:29:07 --> 00:29:10
			a governor and a scholar as well. The

00:29:10 --> 00:29:12
			last thing I'll mention here in his trickery

00:29:12 --> 00:29:14
			was the most beautiful trick that he ever

00:29:14 --> 00:29:14
			played.

00:29:15 --> 00:29:17
			Muhira was the bodyguard of the prophet SallAllahu

00:29:17 --> 00:29:19
			Alaihi Wasallam. He loved to always watch the

00:29:19 --> 00:29:20
			Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam's back.

00:29:20 --> 00:29:22
			So he said that when the Prophet SallAllahu

00:29:22 --> 00:29:23
			Alaihi Wasallam died,

00:29:24 --> 00:29:25
			it's kind of in this dilemma

00:29:26 --> 00:29:27
			because the family of the Prophet

00:29:28 --> 00:29:29
			was around him.

00:29:29 --> 00:29:30
			Ali

00:29:31 --> 00:29:31
			al Abbas

00:29:32 --> 00:29:33
			Basically, Banu Hashim

00:29:42 --> 00:29:43
			Look at this love.

00:29:44 --> 00:29:45
			He said, but I didn't want to violate

00:29:45 --> 00:29:46
			the space

00:29:47 --> 00:29:48
			of the family.

00:29:49 --> 00:29:51
			So for the first time

00:29:51 --> 00:29:52
			in the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam's life and

00:29:52 --> 00:29:54
			he as a Muslim, he has to stand

00:29:54 --> 00:29:55
			back.

00:29:55 --> 00:29:57
			The washing is happening.

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59
			He's used to standing in front of the

00:29:59 --> 00:30:00
			door of the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam, I

00:30:00 --> 00:30:01
			can't stand guard there anymore.

00:30:02 --> 00:30:03
			I can't guard him with my body and

00:30:03 --> 00:30:05
			SubhanAllah and Ta'if, what was it the Prophet

00:30:05 --> 00:30:07
			SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam didn't have anyone to guard

00:30:07 --> 00:30:09
			him except for Zayd ibn Harithan here. This

00:30:09 --> 00:30:10
			thought if Iman is like, I wanted to

00:30:10 --> 00:30:11
			be with him.

00:30:12 --> 00:30:13
			So he said, here's what I did.

00:30:14 --> 00:30:16
			He said, when they brought the prophet's

00:30:16 --> 00:30:17
			body to his grave.

00:30:18 --> 00:30:19
			He said, I accidentally

00:30:21 --> 00:30:23
			dropped my ring in his grave.

00:30:26 --> 00:30:26
			Why?

00:30:27 --> 00:30:28
			Because he said, I wanted to be the

00:30:28 --> 00:30:29
			last person that touched the body of the

00:30:29 --> 00:30:30
			Prophet SAW.

00:30:31 --> 00:30:33
			So he used to say, I'm the last

00:30:33 --> 00:30:35
			person to ever touch the body of the

00:30:35 --> 00:30:36
			Prophet SAW and

00:30:37 --> 00:30:38
			Ali radiAllahu ta'ala Anhu knew what I was

00:30:38 --> 00:30:39
			doing,

00:30:39 --> 00:30:41
			but he let it go. Right? Like I

00:30:41 --> 00:30:42
			wanted to have that closeness

00:30:43 --> 00:30:44
			alaihi wasalam, so he used to say, I'm

00:30:44 --> 00:30:47
			the last person who ever touched the Prophet

00:30:47 --> 00:30:47
			Sallallahu

00:30:48 --> 00:30:49
			Alaihi Wasallam.

00:30:50 --> 00:30:51
			These are 2 men,

00:30:52 --> 00:30:55
			Aruba ibn Mas'ud al Saqafi, Muhirb Nushur ba

00:30:55 --> 00:30:57
			Asaqafi, the 2 first men from Ta'if that

00:30:57 --> 00:30:59
			sort of take that turn with Saqif,

00:31:01 --> 00:31:02
			will continue later on and speak about the

00:31:02 --> 00:31:04
			other dimension which are the children

00:31:04 --> 00:31:07
			and the freed slaves of Ta'if as well.
