As-salamu alaykum everyone.
My apologies, I was trying to go live
on Brother Mansour's page.
Okay, this one, let's see here.
It's good to see you.
I was trying to join you and it
wasn't letting me, I apologize.
It happens, it's Instagram.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Alhamdulillah.
MashaAllah.
MashaAllah.
I can hear the echo on your video.
It's okay.
Can we start now?
Is the connection bad on my end or
is it on Mansour's end?
On my end.
Okay, let me try.
Is this any better?
Yes, this is better.
Okay, okay.
Alhamdulillah.
How are you?
Alhamdulillah.
Can you hear me?
Yes, I can hear you.
Can you tell us what's going on around
you right now?
What's in the background?
What are we hearing?
What are we...
What's going on?
So, I'm located in Nasser Hospital in the
south of Gaza Strip in Khan Yunus.
It's been almost 91 or 92 days since
the start of the events.
You can hear right now the noise of
the ambulances that are bringing in people from
a nearby area which went under a considerable
number of airstrikes over the last few minutes.
May Allah heal those who are injured and
give patience to the families of those who
have lost their lives.
This is a recurring incident here in Gaza
Strip, here in Nasser Hospital.
But alhamdulillah, beside me as well is the
maternity ward of the hospital.
So, subhanAllah, yes, we are losing some lives,
but every few minutes a new baby is
born and comes into this life, alhamdulillah, while
saying the azaan in his or her ears,
alhamdulillah.
How are you holding up?
Wallahi, shaykh, despite all the challenges, alhamdulillah, the
morale, my morale and the morale of the
people around me, wallahi, it's up in the
sky, alhamdulillah.
We believe that we are living history.
We believe that we are witnessing a change
towards the better.
I think that Palestine has always been an
area in the world where historically events happen,
sometimes challenging events, but always the end result
is the benefit of all of the ummah,
all of the mankind.
So, I think we are witnessing in 2023
and now in 2024 these events unfold here
and by the will of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala, the people here will remain, alhamdulillah,
steadfast especially with the support of the ummah
and the support of the free world outside,
inshaAllah.
May Allah protect you all.
It's really something else to be hearing all
the noise in the background and to see
the tremendous number of people, wishes they could
help and I think that there is a
lot of fatigue right now, a lot of
people are paying attention so hearing you say
that the morale is so high, like everything
is really something Can you tell us about
how the last week has been?
Are things getting worse?
Are the airstrikes more?
Is the desperation getting worse?
Can you talk about the way that this
has progressed at this point?
So, we can look at this in two
ways, Sheikh Omar.
The first way is if we look at
it from a purely materialistic perspective if we
look at it from a purely dunya perspective,
right?
We look at that in the Quran
So, if we look at
it from that perspective, Sheikh Excuse me I
have a live Please give me five minutes,
I have a live Thank you very much,
thank you If we look at it from
that perspective, then people will say that these
people are losing everything, you know they've lost
their buildings, their wealth their relatives their jobs
their farmland SubhanAllah, they are at a loss
but بِمَا قَيِيسِ الْإِسْلَامِ بِمَا قَيِيسِ that this
life is temporary and that this life is
full of challenges and that the afterlife, the
eternal life is either paradise or * and
when looking at the Quran, for example, who
are all burned to death because of لا
إله إلا الله and despite that, Allah s
.w.t. said the greatest victory so looking
at it from two different perspectives, Ya Sheikh,
if you look at it from a purely
materialistic perspective things are getting more challenging, but
at the same time Allah s.w.t.
brings down the peace and tranquility and brings
support for the people in Palestine here even
from a grounds perspective even if you look
at it on the ground if you analyze
the situation politically inside the Zionist regime they
are collapsing from within from within the people
here truly believe that they remain steadfast and
practicing patience with the support of people from
around the world and Wallahi Ya Sheikh 2024
will witness a revolution, not only here in
Palestine, but for the whole world, for a
long time Zionism was trying to take control,
not only of Palestine but of different regimes
around the world of the political system, of
the economic system the social system, so of
course it's going to take effort, it's going
to be challenging, you know, to go against
such a system, however the people here in
Gaza, the people here in Palestine have taken
that challenge and they are more than willing
to be the tip of the spear, on
behalf of all the free world, so Ya
Sheikh, Alhamdulillah from both perspectives, from the Akhir
and the Dunya, things are progressing in the
way that Allah SWT has written, and the
people here, they believe that this is their
fate, and Inshallah, we will continue Innamaa basqun
aw shahada wa yarawnahu ba'eeda wa narahu
qareeban, Inshallah May Allah protect you all may
Allah protect you all You know, you're talking
about sabru sha'a, being patient for one
more hour, the importance of outlasting that patience
is outlasting your enemy by an hour, you're
talking about victory coming through multiple routes the
very fact that you stand upon your principles
that you remain, that you stand with your
faith, that you refuse to go away, is
a sign of victory no matter what the
outcome is.
The victory has already been attained.
For people that are watching on the outside,
and I've been speaking to people on the
inside as well, and I'm not there like
you obviously, and there are different people that
are sort of interacting with this in a
different way.
Is there a sense that we're coming to
an end of this, that there is light
at the end of the tunnel for people
there?
Are you seeing the aid coming through in
greater numbers, for example?
Is there a sense of solidarity that's being
felt on and around there, as well as
people around the world?
Definitely.
One of the sources of the strength here
is that we continue to see on social
media, we continue to hear from our relatives
and our friends all around the world, they
see the demonstrations on the ground, the different
shifts when it comes to the political atmosphere
towards the truth, towards the Palestinian cause.
All of the people, alhamdulillah, have smartphones, and
whenever they look at their social media, they
see the amount of social media content being
created that is pro-Palestinian.
They see at last, alhamdulillah, that the Zionism
propaganda is not working anymore.
It has worked for many, many decades, especially
through the mainstream media.
But alhamdulillah, through the new generation, through the
efforts of our brothers and sisters all around
the world, we are seeing this positive movement,
and it is fueling the people here and
giving them even more energy to continue pushing
to what they believe is right.
Aid is thickening in.
It's still more of a PR stunt on
behalf of the US, the UN, and the
Israelis.
Any aid truck that comes through has to
be searched by Israelis.
It has to be vetted.
So a lot of these trucks get emptied,
or they don't get allowed to be passed.
And many of these trucks stay there until,
for example, the food expires.
So the aid is thickening in, and they
have it calculated in a way in which
they don't cause mass starvation, or mass famines,
or pandemics.
They allow the necessary, they allow things to
come in little by little, just in order
for people to remain alive.
So it's all very much calculated.
When it comes to the ceasefire, there are
negotiations happening, but it is more pressing from
the Israeli side.
They want an immediate ceasefire to happen right
now.
However, the position of the Palestinian people is
that they don't want a temporary ceasefire, because
right now the leverage is in the hands
of the Palestinians.
And if they give in to only a
temporary ceasefire, then Israel might come back and
bring even more vengeance after it, like what
it did after the first temporary ceasefire, if
you remember, last month.
So the push is for a permanent ceasefire,
opening all the borders, ensuring that there is
unrestricted aid coming in, especially to our brothers
and sisters in the north.
And I think we will hear good news
about this very soon.
Can you talk about that, Achman Soor?
When the temporary ceasefire happened, there was obviously
the sense of relief and hope that Inshallah
Ta'ala it was going to become permanent,
right?
That's what we were thinking at the time.
I think that a lot of people on
the ground probably hoped for that as well,
that the temporary ceasefire was going to be
extended into a permanent ceasefire.
After the temporary ceasefire expired, have you noticed
a change in the behaviour of the Zionists,
of the occupation soldiers towards you all?
Have you noticed the intensity of the increase?
Is the brutality more now than it was
before the temporary ceasefire?
Just so people can understand before and after.
I believe the answer to that is yes.
The increase is much more apparent.
I think everyone here saw the videos and
the images of them taking the clothes off,
humiliating the civilians, especially in the north of
Gaza Strip, that they killed some of them,
they injured some of them.
Some of them, we still don't know their
whereabouts.
I think you can all see that they
were in the beginning saying south is safe.
Now their focus is on the south.
I think that they are getting more desperate,
especially because they are incurring huge numbers of
casualties, Sheikh Omar.
The casualties that they announce versus reality is
very different.
You can multiply it by ten.
When you talk about over 1,000 documented
vehicles being destroyed and every week having between
four to eleven soldiers, you can do the
math and you can see that the numbers
that they report does not add up.
And once the Israeli population knows the reality
of their own intelligence, of their own army
and how much they killed of their own
people during the last three months and what
they did to their own hostages as well,
I don't think that, I think there will
be a revolution there.
And like I said, there is currently a
huge internal conflict that wasn't apparent before, but
I think you can hear in the news
how the politicians, how the military commanders now
are quarreling because they know that they have
failed in Gaza.
They have failed in Gaza.
They have failed in all avenues.
I think it's very apparent to us as
we're sort of watching from afar, the fractures
within the waking up of multiple people in
the Israeli public.
I mean, here in the American public as
well, despite mainstream media trying to suppress the
truth, despite here, even on social media, I
mean, our Instagram accounts can be taken down
at any moment.
You know, we've gotten threats of a full
ban at any moment.
So, you know, we've already seen what social
media suppression looks like, but even that is
not stopping people.
I think especially younger people from finding out
the truth and saying enough is enough.
I want to speak to you, especially, and
obviously, you know, offline and online, but right
now, you know, you're speaking directly to people
that may feel a sense of fatigue that
are watching this and are like, you know,
we've been protesting.
Nothing's been happening.
We've been sending, you know, aid.
Nothing's been happening.
We're getting tired.
The numbers are less.
We have a D.C. protest and a
global day of action, inshallah, coming up next
Saturday.
You know, people are kind of losing motivation.
How is it that you all on the
ground are able to stay so motivated?
And what words can you share?
I think we know the answer is Iman.
We know the answer is faith.
The people of Gaza are special.
They're chosen people by Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala.
They have a special faith that the Prophet
Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, spoke
about, and we're seeing it live in action.
You people are the heroes of our day.
We're watching you, and we're in awe of
you, and we love you, and we're making
dua for you, and you're considered amongst them,
brother Mansoor.
May Allah reward you and protect you and
protect all of you.
But if there are words, you know, when
you're talking to people that are in the
comfort of their homes and they're still feeling
fatigue, they're tired because they don't know what
to do next.
What do you say to those people?
What do you say to all of us
as that fatigue is settling in?
And for some people, a sense of desperation
as well.
I think, subhanallah, we are human beings, and
la yukallifu allahu nafsan illa wus'aha.
That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will not
burden our, each one of us, Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala will not burden them more
than he or she can handle.
And that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala doesn't
ask us for results.
He asks us for action, you know, action
that is, you know, the intention needs to
be for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala's sake,
action according to the Quran and sunnah.
I tell these brothers and sisters that it
is normal what you are going through.
And maybe disconnect for a few days from
what you are hearing on national TV.
Renew your intentions.
Try to connect directly with Palestinians that have
families and relatives here on the ground.
Revisit your intentions, not only about why you
are doing or what you are doing, but
your intentions in life in general, you know.
What is the purpose of my career?
What is the purpose of my marriage?
In sha Allah, when my children grow up,
what do I see them doing in this
ever-changing world?
Because wallahi, we are witnessing history.
And I want them to know that the
people here in Gaza, also, some of them
are also tired.
And they are feeling despair.
And they are human beings, subhanAllah.
You are seeing the women waking up every
day, baking bread for their children, bathing their
kids out in the cold, trying to find
a proper shelter or proper food, right?
So, I think the feelings that you are
going through is normal.
But try to remember that Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala will grant victory to his religion,
with us or without us.
And ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, especially
in tahajjud prayers, especially in your sujood, ask
him to utilize you for the nusra of
this deen, for the khidmah of la ilaha
illallah.
Because we do not want to be replaced.
We want to be utilized in this.
And wallahi, we are witnessing history.
And I am telling you that you will
be telling, in sha Allah, your children and
your grandchildren about these moments.
And what we are viewing on the ground
here, from the regular civilian, from the ayah
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, alamat al
-nasr, karamat al-shuhada, karamat al-ikhwa.
Wallahi, in sha Allah, it brings hope and
it brings peace to everyone, to everyone that
is here.
And this land is not only for Palestinians.
We do not believe in Sykes and Vika.
We don't believe in passports.
This land is a waqf land for all
Muslims, for free people from all around the
world.
So, as we have been living, Christians, Jews
and Muslims, for 1400 years, alhamdulillah, Zionism came
in and ruined all of that.
We look forward to returning the status quo.
We look forward, in sha Allah, to establishing
a divine system of rule, politically, socially and
economically.
Again, this is not a nationalistic fight.
This is not a fight over land.
It is a fight for la ilaha illallah.
It is a fight for la ilaha illallah.
This is what I want the message to
reach everyone.
That the people here, it's not about a
Palestinian.
It's about Islam.
It's about freedom.
It's about certain values and morals and systems
which we want to implement, which will, in
sha Allah, change our whole life for the
better, from always, in sha Allah.
You said people are praying at night.
You mentioned the word Tahajjud.
Can you speak to what it's like to
pray in Gaza, Fajr, Tahajjud?
Are you seeing people reading Quran while the
airstrikes are coming down?
Are you seeing people praying Salat and Jumu
'ah, the Friday prayer, the Fajr prayer, Tahajjud?
Alhamdulillah, the Quran is with everyone here.
We pray Friday, Jumu'ah, Alhamdulillah, regularly.
Despite over 180 mosques being bombed and mosques
still being bombed, we pray five times a
day in congregation, in the Masajid here.
Wallahi, Sheikh, Fajr here has a different taste,
subhanallah.
And I'm not from Gaza, by the way.
I'm from Jerusalem.
And wallahi, Al-Aqsa is waiting for all
of us.
May we all, in sha Allah, in sha
Allah, Ramadan coming, in sha Allah, we all
pray in Jerusalem, in sha Allah.
This is how much faith we have, Alhamdulillah.
That in sha Allah, Ramadan comes, Hajj comes,
in sha Allah, people will finish their Hajj,
and they will come back to Jerusalem to
pray in Al-Aqsa mosque, as they have
done for many centuries.
So, Alhamdulillah, the five time prayers happen here.
The Hajjud prayers happen here.
There's daily word that people read every day.
And wallahi, especially between the families, you know,
the women with their children.
Again, I want to emphasize the role of
the Muslim women here.
Without our strong Muslim women, our mothers, our
wives, our daughters, our sisters, we wouldn't have
such a strong society here in Gaza.
So, it is very important for the Muslim
women all around the world to understand how
important their role is.
Because without such a strong family structure, keeping
everything together, you wouldn't have found this peace
and tranquility when it comes to the social
norms here.
When it comes to not having issues between
families.
When it comes to ensuring that people are,
you know, that they are patient and steadfast,
even with the little.
I think, subhanAllah, we're seeing the moms of
Gaza.
We're seeing the women of Gaza as just
unbelievable, subhanAllah, in every way possible.
Akh Mansur, I'm going to end with this.
I want to ask you, you know, you're
speaking to people that are Muslim, Christian, Jewish.
You're seeing the internationalizing of the solidarity.
People from all backgrounds, all faiths and backgrounds
that are standing with you.
What message do you have to people that
are not Muslim, right?
That are Palestinian Christians, not Palestinian Christians.
Of course, we have a lot of Palestinian
Christians.
You're from Jerusalem in particular, right?
Tomorrow, I'm talking to Mitri Rahab, who's the
head of the Lutheran Church, the Palestinian Lutheran
Church.
Christians, Jews, Jewish Voice for Peace, if not
now, all these activists that are standing.
What do you say to the world outside
that is made up of Muslims, Christians, Jews,
and people of all backgrounds that see the
injustice towards you?
What do the people of Gaza want from
the rest of us?
First thing I want to do is express
our most gratitude and thank them for everything
that they have been doing.
Whether it's boycotting Zionist corporations, whether it is
creating content on social media, liking, sharing, commenting,
you have changed the game.
Whether it's demonstrating on the ground in different
cities, in the millions around the world.
Whether it's lobbying your politicians and governments to
make sure that they do the right thing.
Whether it's donating wisely their time, their effort,
their money, their tangible goods, their assets.
Making sure that, you know, inshallah, if not
now, they eventually reach us here.
I also want to encourage them to continue
to learn more about three different topics.
About three different topics.
Number one, Zionism.
Zionism is not the same as Judaism.
Sheikh Omar, you know more than me, inshallah.
Jews, Christians, and Muslims have lived together in
Muslim countries around the world, in Arab countries,
all over.
In peace and harmony for centuries.
Whenever Jews were being persecuted in Europe, especially
in the Middle Ages, where did they seek
refuge?
Always in Muslim land.
That's why you see hundreds of thousands of
Jews until now living in North Africa, living
in Iran, living in Yemen, living in the
Middle East.
That's why until now, Christians have their churches
and they are growing in numbers.
Alhamdulillah, we have lived in peace together for
hundreds of years.
Until Zionists came in.
So learn more about Zionism.
Number two, learn more about the history of
the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
This didn't just start on October the 7th.
And because when you want to act, we
want you to act out of facts, out
of credible evidence, out of history.
Right?
We want you to be sure of the
cause that you are fighting for.
So try to understand where did all this
originate from.
And trust me, it didn't start just three
months ago.
There is a very deep history of what
happened and why my ancestors and my wife's
ancestors have all left historical Palestine and are
refugees together with tens of millions of Palestinians
around the world.
And number three, please continue to learn and
educate yourself about Islam.
If you want to understand why the Palestinian
people in Gaza here are remaining steadfast, are
saying, even after all the loss, Alhamdulillah, Allahu
Akbar, La ilaha illallah, la ilaha illallah raja
'oon.
Understand what Islam is all about.
Read a copy of a translated Quran.
Talk to your local mosque, your local imam.
Visit your masjid.
Talk to the Muslims that you trust, your
colleagues at work, your friends.
Listen to the lessons of Shaykh Omar, mashallah,
on the internet.
My daughters, every day, they listen to your
lessons, ya Shaykh.
May Allah make it a sadaqah jariah for
you.
So learn about these three topics because this
will help you understand more what we are
going through here.
And when you engage more in where we
are right now, it will give you a
better source of credibility and understanding.
Finally, make the intention of joining us here.
Soon, inshallah, the borders will be open.
Soon, inshallah, we will rebuild Gaza together and
we will visit Jerusalem together.
And we look forward to seeing you here
with us, inshallah, and enjoy the Palestinian hospitality,
inshallah.
We are praying for you and we love
you all very much and we are making
dua for you.
And, you know, when we say, nastawdiakumullah, we
put you in the care of Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
And we thank you as well for your
bravery, your courage.
I know that a lot of people probably
don't know you have a choice to be
there right now and you chose to be
there, putting your life on the line.
Jazakumullah khairan.
You all are our absolute heroes.
