00:00:00 --> 00:00:02
			Did the Prophet ﷺ ever see you in

00:00:02 --> 00:00:04
			a dream or in a vision?

00:00:04 --> 00:00:05
			Did he see you on the night of

00:00:05 --> 00:00:06
			Al-Isra and Al-Mi'raj?

00:00:07 --> 00:00:10
			Was the Prophet ﷺ talking about you specifically

00:00:10 --> 00:00:14
			in some of these Ahadith that we read

00:00:14 --> 00:00:16
			about the future nations to come?

00:00:16 --> 00:00:17
			A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem.

00:00:18 --> 00:00:19
			Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.

00:00:19 --> 00:00:20
			Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen.

00:00:20 --> 00:00:21
			Wa Al-'Udwana Ila Al-'Ala Al-Dhalimeen.

00:00:21 --> 00:00:23
			Wa Al-'Aqibatu Lil-Muttaqeen.

00:00:23 --> 00:00:25
			Allahumma Salli wa Sallim wa Barak al-'Abdika wa

00:00:25 --> 00:00:27
			Rasulika Muhammadin Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam wa ala

00:00:27 --> 00:00:29
			alihi wa sahbihi wa sallim wa tasliman kathira.

00:00:29 --> 00:00:31
			We begin as always by praising Allah subhanahu

00:00:31 --> 00:00:34
			wa ta'ala and by invoking his peace

00:00:34 --> 00:00:37
			and blessings upon our beloved messenger Sallallahu Alaihi

00:00:37 --> 00:00:39
			wa Sallam, the prophets and messengers that came

00:00:39 --> 00:00:42
			before him, his family and companions that served

00:00:42 --> 00:00:44
			alongside him, and those that follow in his

00:00:44 --> 00:00:45
			blessed path.

00:00:45 --> 00:00:46
			And we ask Allah to make us amongst

00:00:46 --> 00:00:46
			them.

00:00:47 --> 00:00:47
			Allahumma Ameen.

00:00:48 --> 00:00:49
			Dear brothers and sisters, if you have been

00:00:49 --> 00:00:52
			following the series on Al-Aqsa that we

00:00:52 --> 00:00:54
			have just started, we are about to come

00:00:54 --> 00:00:56
			into the chapter of the Fada'il of

00:00:56 --> 00:00:58
			Ash-Sham, the virtues of Ash-Sham and

00:00:58 --> 00:00:59
			its people.

00:00:59 --> 00:01:01
			And Ash-Sham refers to, in the broad

00:01:01 --> 00:01:05
			sense, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.

00:01:06 --> 00:01:08
			And subhanAllah, one of the things about this

00:01:08 --> 00:01:12
			chapter, about the people of Palestine, Syria, Lebanon,

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15
			and Jordan, the people of Ash-Sham, is

00:01:15 --> 00:01:18
			that it struck me as the genocide began,

00:01:18 --> 00:01:20
			and as I was looking into these Ahadith,

00:01:20 --> 00:01:23
			that these people were not even Muslim yet,

00:01:23 --> 00:01:25
			when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was speaking

00:01:25 --> 00:01:28
			about very specific virtues that they had.

00:01:28 --> 00:01:30
			I want you to just imagine that for

00:01:30 --> 00:01:30
			a moment.

00:01:30 --> 00:01:32
			And of course, it's not only the people

00:01:32 --> 00:01:33
			of Ash-Sham that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34
			Wasallam spoke about.

00:01:34 --> 00:01:36
			He spoke about the Fada'il of the

00:01:36 --> 00:01:38
			people of Yemen, for example, the virtues of

00:01:38 --> 00:01:39
			the people of Yemen.

00:01:39 --> 00:01:41
			These people were not Muslim yet.

00:01:41 --> 00:01:43
			And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is in

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45
			Al-Madinah Al-Munawwara, and he's talking about

00:01:45 --> 00:01:48
			a territory that is under the control of

00:01:48 --> 00:01:48
			the Romans.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:51
			And he's already talking about the future Muslims

00:01:51 --> 00:01:53
			that reside in that land, and how blessed

00:01:53 --> 00:01:55
			they are, and how much he loves them,

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:01:57 --> 00:01:59
			Now, why is this relevant to us, and

00:01:59 --> 00:02:00
			what did I want to focus on here

00:02:00 --> 00:02:04
			today, that I can't necessarily focus on in

00:02:04 --> 00:02:06
			the second lecture of our Al-Aqsa series?

00:02:06 --> 00:02:09
			This actually brings us to a very interesting

00:02:09 --> 00:02:11
			genre of Ahadith of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:02:11 --> 00:02:14
			Wasallam, where there are a number of Ahadith

00:02:14 --> 00:02:15
			where the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:02:15 --> 00:02:19
			will say something like, عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ that

00:02:19 --> 00:02:22
			the nations were presented to me.

00:02:22 --> 00:02:24
			Or he would say, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, عُرِضَتْ

00:02:24 --> 00:02:28
			عَلَيَّ أُمَّتِي my nation was presented to me.

00:02:28 --> 00:02:31
			Or he would say, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, رَأَيْتُ

00:02:31 --> 00:02:33
			رَجُلًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي I saw a man from

00:02:33 --> 00:02:34
			my Ummah.

00:02:34 --> 00:02:36
			And the Hadith continues in that way.

00:02:36 --> 00:02:38
			The point is there is a genre where

00:02:38 --> 00:02:39
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is talking about

00:02:39 --> 00:02:42
			future nations, future peoples.

00:02:42 --> 00:02:45
			And SubhanAllah you can find him talking about

00:02:45 --> 00:02:47
			the Ummah in its good times to come,

00:02:47 --> 00:02:49
			in its bad times to come.

00:02:49 --> 00:02:51
			You can find him talking about very specific

00:02:51 --> 00:02:55
			blessed people to come, and very specific people

00:02:55 --> 00:02:56
			of fitna to come.

00:02:56 --> 00:02:59
			You can find him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam crying

00:02:59 --> 00:03:01
			over incidents that would happen 40-50 years

00:03:01 --> 00:03:02
			after him, right?

00:03:02 --> 00:03:05
			Like the murder of Al-Husayn radiAllahu ta

00:03:05 --> 00:03:05
			'ala anhu.

00:03:05 --> 00:03:08
			You can find him talking about all sorts

00:03:08 --> 00:03:09
			of things.

00:03:09 --> 00:03:10
			The leader of Al-Khawarij.

00:03:11 --> 00:03:12
			You can find him talking about Sallallahu Alaihi

00:03:12 --> 00:03:15
			Wasallam, the global events to happen.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18
			And you can find him talking about things

00:03:18 --> 00:03:19
			that would happen to people from his Ummah

00:03:19 --> 00:03:20
			in their graves.

00:03:20 --> 00:03:22
			And you can find him talking about people

00:03:22 --> 00:03:23
			on the Day of Judgment.

00:03:23 --> 00:03:24
			And you can find him talking about very

00:03:24 --> 00:03:26
			specific scenes in Al-Jannah and Al-Nar.

00:03:27 --> 00:03:30
			So he has this vernacular Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:03:30 --> 00:03:31
			that's been given to him by Allah Subhanahu

00:03:31 --> 00:03:34
			Wa Ta'ala, that he sees things, right?

00:03:34 --> 00:03:36
			Now where do we read ourselves into that?

00:03:37 --> 00:03:38
			So I want to take you to a

00:03:38 --> 00:03:39
			hadith that's very famous.

00:03:39 --> 00:03:40
			Then we can get into some of the

00:03:40 --> 00:03:41
			specific categories here.

00:03:42 --> 00:03:46
			When the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, وَدِتُوا

00:03:46 --> 00:03:48
			أَرَىٰ أَحْبَابِي أَرَىٰ أَحْبَابِي Oh how I wish

00:03:48 --> 00:03:50
			to see my beloved ones.

00:03:50 --> 00:03:53
			And the sahaba of course, hearing that from

00:03:53 --> 00:03:54
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, they said, Ya

00:03:54 --> 00:03:56
			Rasulullah, who are you talking about?

00:03:57 --> 00:03:58
			Are you talking about the muhajireen?

00:03:58 --> 00:04:00
			Or are you talking about the ansar?

00:04:00 --> 00:04:01
			Are you talking about the people that came

00:04:01 --> 00:04:02
			from Mecca?

00:04:02 --> 00:04:04
			Or are you talking about the companions from

00:04:04 --> 00:04:04
			Al Medina?

00:04:05 --> 00:04:06
			And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says, بَلْ

00:04:06 --> 00:04:09
			أَنْتُمْ أَصْحَابِي No, you are my companions.

00:04:09 --> 00:04:12
			I'm talking about people that have yet to

00:04:12 --> 00:04:13
			come from my ummah.

00:04:14 --> 00:04:15
			And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is praising

00:04:15 --> 00:04:19
			these people and he's saying, الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِي

00:04:19 --> 00:04:21
			وَلَمْ يَرَونِي Those who believe in me and

00:04:21 --> 00:04:23
			they have not yet seen me, and they

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26
			would do anything to be able to come

00:04:26 --> 00:04:27
			to Al Medina.

00:04:27 --> 00:04:28
			And to see the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:04:29 --> 00:04:30
			And to be with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:04:30 --> 00:04:31
			Wasallam.

00:04:31 --> 00:04:32
			And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is saying,

00:04:33 --> 00:04:35
			هُمْ أَحْبَابِي هُمْ إِخْوَانِي May Allah make us

00:04:35 --> 00:04:35
			amongst them.

00:04:36 --> 00:04:37
			They are my beloved ones.

00:04:37 --> 00:04:38
			They are my brothers.

00:04:38 --> 00:04:40
			So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is talking

00:04:40 --> 00:04:41
			about a group of people to come.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:46
			And he's very specific Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam that

00:04:46 --> 00:04:47
			he loves us.

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50
			And I say us with a hopeful tone.

00:04:50 --> 00:04:52
			That we would be counted amongst them.

00:04:52 --> 00:04:55
			That he loves us بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى before

00:04:55 --> 00:04:56
			we were even born.

00:04:56 --> 00:04:58
			Because the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam knows that

00:04:58 --> 00:04:59
			he has an ummah that is to come.

00:04:59 --> 00:05:02
			That loves him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:02 --> 00:05:04
			And he perceives us in that Ihsan Alaihi

00:05:04 --> 00:05:05
			Wasallam.

00:05:05 --> 00:05:07
			In that excellence of loving us before we

00:05:07 --> 00:05:08
			were even born.

00:05:09 --> 00:05:10
			As he knows we are to come.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:13
			And that we will reciprocate that love to

00:05:13 --> 00:05:14
			him Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:15 --> 00:05:16
			And then love has categories, right?

00:05:17 --> 00:05:20
			قُلْ إِن كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبُكُمُ اللَّهَ

00:05:21 --> 00:05:24
			Say if you truly love Allah, then follow

00:05:24 --> 00:05:26
			me and Allah will love you back.

00:05:26 --> 00:05:29
			So you can't claim the محبة of the

00:05:29 --> 00:05:29
			Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:29 --> 00:05:31
			You can't claim the love of the Prophet

00:05:31 --> 00:05:32
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:32 --> 00:05:34
			Nor the love of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta

00:05:34 --> 00:05:36
			'ala if you don't follow the Prophet Sallallahu

00:05:36 --> 00:05:36
			Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:36 --> 00:05:39
			So there are very specific categories of اتباع

00:05:39 --> 00:05:40
			النبي Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:05:40 --> 00:05:42
			What it means to follow the Prophet Sallallahu

00:05:42 --> 00:05:43
			Alaihi Wasallam than to qualify for his love.

00:05:44 --> 00:05:45
			Now here is what I want us to

00:05:45 --> 00:05:45
			do.

00:05:45 --> 00:05:48
			Build on this very well-known narration where

00:05:48 --> 00:05:50
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is talking about

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53
			people that love him that are yet to

00:05:53 --> 00:05:53
			come.

00:05:53 --> 00:05:55
			And then look at the people that he

00:05:55 --> 00:05:59
			described from these different regions and in these

00:05:59 --> 00:05:59
			different eras.

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03
			And the qualities that he assigned to them.

00:06:03 --> 00:06:05
			So for example, when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:06:05 --> 00:06:08
			Wasallam talks about the people around Al-Aqsa.

00:06:09 --> 00:06:10
			The people around Al-Bayt Al-Maqdis.

00:06:11 --> 00:06:13
			The people that are from Al-Ta'if

00:06:13 --> 00:06:14
			Al-Mansurah.

00:06:14 --> 00:06:17
			The victorious group that are around the area

00:06:17 --> 00:06:19
			of Asqalan which is where Gaza is today.

00:06:20 --> 00:06:22
			The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam doesn't just talk

00:06:22 --> 00:06:24
			about them from the perspective of blood or

00:06:24 --> 00:06:25
			nationality.

00:06:25 --> 00:06:27
			And in fact, let's just be very clear.

00:06:27 --> 00:06:30
			You could be a Fajr Kafir from Palestine.

00:06:30 --> 00:06:32
			And you could enter into the lowest pit

00:06:32 --> 00:06:32
			of * fire.

00:06:33 --> 00:06:34
			In fact, some of the scholars say if

00:06:34 --> 00:06:37
			you fall within one of the blessed regions

00:06:37 --> 00:06:38
			or one of the blessed categories.

00:06:39 --> 00:06:41
			And you're a Fajr and you're a disobedient

00:06:41 --> 00:06:42
			person.

00:06:42 --> 00:06:43
			That makes it that much worse.

00:06:43 --> 00:06:45
			Because just like if a blessed season comes

00:06:45 --> 00:06:46
			upon us like Ramadan.

00:06:47 --> 00:06:49
			And you are sinful even in Ramadan.

00:06:49 --> 00:06:50
			Then that's worse for you.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:52
			So if you're from Ahlul Bayt.

00:06:52 --> 00:06:55
			What's better than being from the lineage of

00:06:55 --> 00:06:56
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:06:56 --> 00:06:57
			From the family of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:06:57 --> 00:06:57
			Wasallam.

00:06:57 --> 00:06:59
			And you're still disobedient.

00:06:59 --> 00:07:01
			And you still disobey the sunnah of the

00:07:01 --> 00:07:01
			Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:07:02 --> 00:07:04
			That's a proof against you, not for you.

00:07:04 --> 00:07:06
			And so this is not a source of

00:07:06 --> 00:07:07
			nationalistic pride.

00:07:08 --> 00:07:09
			That oh yeah, I'm from Palestine.

00:07:09 --> 00:07:10
			I'm from Syria.

00:07:10 --> 00:07:11
			I'm from this place and that place.

00:07:11 --> 00:07:12
			Therefore I qualify.

00:07:12 --> 00:07:13
			No, no, no.

00:07:13 --> 00:07:17
			The earth does not make anyone holy.

00:07:17 --> 00:07:17
			Right?

00:07:18 --> 00:07:20
			Your deeds make you holy.

00:07:21 --> 00:07:23
			So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam would mention

00:07:23 --> 00:07:24
			qualities.

00:07:24 --> 00:07:29
			So when he says, That they are manifest

00:07:29 --> 00:07:30
			upon the truth.

00:07:30 --> 00:07:34
			Okay, there's a very specific manifestation of that

00:07:34 --> 00:07:35
			truth in Gaza right now.

00:07:35 --> 00:07:38
			And there's a very specific manifestation of that

00:07:38 --> 00:07:41
			truth in Syria for example.

00:07:41 --> 00:07:44
			But are you someone who is manifest upon

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46
			the truth in your own circumstances?

00:07:46 --> 00:07:48
			When you think about the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:07:48 --> 00:07:52
			Wasallam saying, That they are a thorn in

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53
			the side of their enemies.

00:07:53 --> 00:07:55
			Are you someone who is a thorn in

00:07:55 --> 00:07:57
			the side of the enemies of Allah Subhanahu

00:07:57 --> 00:07:58
			Wa Ta'ala?

00:07:58 --> 00:08:00
			By your insistence upon righteousness.

00:08:00 --> 00:08:02
			By your insistence upon justice.

00:08:02 --> 00:08:03
			Where you are.

00:08:03 --> 00:08:07
			When the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says, That

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09
			they are not affected or impacted.

00:08:09 --> 00:08:12
			By those who take them as enemies.

00:08:12 --> 00:08:13
			Nor by those who betray them.

00:08:14 --> 00:08:15
			Are you one of those people?

00:08:15 --> 00:08:17
			So you have to look at the qualities.

00:08:17 --> 00:08:19
			So when the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentions

00:08:19 --> 00:08:20
			for example, The people of Yemen.

00:08:21 --> 00:08:25
			And he mentions, That they have surpassed by

00:08:25 --> 00:08:26
			the softness of their hearts.

00:08:27 --> 00:08:28
			You could be from Yemen but not have

00:08:28 --> 00:08:29
			a soft heart.

00:08:29 --> 00:08:31
			And you could not be from Yemen but

00:08:31 --> 00:08:32
			have a soft heart.

00:08:32 --> 00:08:34
			And you would qualify for all of the

00:08:34 --> 00:08:35
			virtues of that reward.

00:08:35 --> 00:08:38
			Because it's the qualities that you pay attention

00:08:38 --> 00:08:39
			to.

00:08:39 --> 00:08:41
			So the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam loved people

00:08:41 --> 00:08:44
			for the righteous deeds that were to come.

00:08:45 --> 00:08:46
			And the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam happened to

00:08:46 --> 00:08:50
			mention, The prevalence or the prominence of those

00:08:50 --> 00:08:50
			righteous deeds.

00:08:51 --> 00:08:53
			Perhaps through specific episodes of history.

00:08:53 --> 00:08:55
			In very specific regions.

00:08:55 --> 00:08:58
			But you can qualify for those righteous deeds.

00:08:59 --> 00:09:00
			So when Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,

00:09:06 --> 00:09:09
			أَعِزَّةً عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11
			يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَ تَلَأَمُ Where Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta

00:09:11 --> 00:09:14
			'ala mentions a people that, If you were

00:09:14 --> 00:09:15
			to turn away.

00:09:15 --> 00:09:16
			If you were to turn away.

00:09:17 --> 00:09:18
			And the Mufassideen say, this is referring to

00:09:18 --> 00:09:19
			the Arabs.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:19
			Right?

00:09:20 --> 00:09:21
			If you turn away.

00:09:21 --> 00:09:24
			فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَ Allah will

00:09:24 --> 00:09:25
			bring about another group of people.

00:09:26 --> 00:09:28
			That love him and he loves them.

00:09:29 --> 00:09:30
			And so it's not region specific.

00:09:30 --> 00:09:33
			It could be the Persians under Salman Al

00:09:33 --> 00:09:33
			-Farisi.

00:09:33 --> 00:09:34
			رضي الله تعالى عنه It could be the

00:09:34 --> 00:09:36
			people of Habesha under Bilal.

00:09:36 --> 00:09:38
			رضي الله تعالى عنه It could be people

00:09:38 --> 00:09:39
			all over the world.

00:09:39 --> 00:09:42
			That embrace the qualities.

00:09:42 --> 00:09:45
			And you'll find that there's alignment.

00:09:45 --> 00:09:47
			Between the qualities that are mentioned in these

00:09:47 --> 00:09:47
			ayat.

00:09:48 --> 00:09:49
			And the qualities mentioned by the Prophet.

00:09:50 --> 00:09:55
			So for example, Where the Prophet says, لَا

00:09:55 --> 00:09:58
			يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَرَهُمْ وَلَا مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ

00:09:58 --> 00:09:58
			مَنْ خَذَرَهُمْ وَلَا مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ Right?

00:09:58 --> 00:10:01
			That they are not deterred by those who

00:10:01 --> 00:10:02
			take them as enemies.

00:10:02 --> 00:10:03
			Or those who betray them.

00:10:03 --> 00:10:06
			Compare that to, وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَ تَلَعَبُونَ They

00:10:06 --> 00:10:07
			don't fear the blame of the blamers.

00:10:08 --> 00:10:10
			They're manifestations of the same qualities.

00:10:11 --> 00:10:15
			But the point is, Do you actually manifest

00:10:15 --> 00:10:15
			that quality?

00:10:16 --> 00:10:18
			Now here's where we get to, SubhanAllah, something

00:10:18 --> 00:10:19
			very profound.

00:10:19 --> 00:10:21
			And they are from this genre of Ahadith

00:10:21 --> 00:10:22
			of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:10:23 --> 00:10:24
			When you actually sit and you think to

00:10:24 --> 00:10:27
			yourself, Was I one of those people?

00:10:27 --> 00:10:30
			Perhaps, that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam saw

00:10:30 --> 00:10:31
			on the night of Asra ul Mi'raj

00:10:31 --> 00:10:32
			and that made him happy.

00:10:33 --> 00:10:34
			Was I one of those people?

00:10:34 --> 00:10:35
			Like was the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam one

00:10:35 --> 00:10:37
			day having a dream?

00:10:37 --> 00:10:38
			One night having a dream.

00:10:38 --> 00:10:40
			Where he saw what was happening in Gaza.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:43
			Where he saw some of the turmoil around

00:10:43 --> 00:10:44
			the Baitul Maqdis.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:45
			And then he saw a group of his

00:10:45 --> 00:10:49
			Ummah standing up and rising to the occasion.

00:10:50 --> 00:10:51
			Could I have been one of those people?

00:10:52 --> 00:10:52
			Right?

00:10:52 --> 00:10:53
			Or if the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam talked

00:10:53 --> 00:10:55
			about a group of Muslims rising from the

00:10:55 --> 00:10:56
			lands of Kufr.

00:10:56 --> 00:10:58
			Could I have been one of those people?

00:10:58 --> 00:11:01
			You have to actually have that ambition to

00:11:01 --> 00:11:03
			say, maybe, just maybe, I could be one

00:11:03 --> 00:11:03
			of those people.

00:11:03 --> 00:11:05
			What if I fell in the sight of

00:11:05 --> 00:11:09
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and I could

00:11:09 --> 00:11:10
			have made the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam proud

00:11:11 --> 00:11:13
			and the other side could also be true.

00:11:13 --> 00:11:16
			What if I disappointed the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:11:16 --> 00:11:16
			Wasallam?

00:11:17 --> 00:11:19
			What if the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam described

00:11:19 --> 00:11:21
			me as someone from the Ummah as a

00:11:21 --> 00:11:22
			disappointment?

00:11:22 --> 00:11:24
			Like, look at these people from this area.

00:11:24 --> 00:11:26
			Look at these people with this quality.

00:11:26 --> 00:11:27
			Look at the people that do this and

00:11:27 --> 00:11:28
			do that.

00:11:28 --> 00:11:30
			And they're from my Ummah and the disappointment

00:11:30 --> 00:11:32
			of the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

00:11:32 --> 00:11:34
			May Allah spare us from that disappointment.

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36
			May Allah not make us amongst those who

00:11:36 --> 00:11:38
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam will complain about

00:11:38 --> 00:11:38
			on the Day of Judgment.

00:11:39 --> 00:11:40
			May Allah make us amongst those who the

00:11:40 --> 00:11:43
			Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam will reach and he

00:11:43 --> 00:11:44
			will be proud of alayhis salatu wasalam.

00:11:45 --> 00:11:47
			And of course, greater than that, may Allah

00:11:47 --> 00:11:49
			make us amongst those who meet him and

00:11:49 --> 00:11:50
			he's proud of us subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:11:50 --> 00:11:54
			May Allah praise us for these qualities as

00:11:54 --> 00:11:56
			Allah sees even what the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:11:56 --> 00:11:57
			Wasallam could not see.

00:11:57 --> 00:11:59
			Allah sees everything and he sees the hearts

00:11:59 --> 00:12:02
			and he sees every single detail because he

00:12:02 --> 00:12:05
			decrees every single detail subhanahu wa ta'ala.

00:12:05 --> 00:12:07
			So let's look through some of these ahadith.

00:12:07 --> 00:12:09
			One of them, subhanallah, is the hadith of

00:12:09 --> 00:12:12
			Umm Haram bint Milhan radiyaAllahu ta'ala anha

00:12:12 --> 00:12:15
			and she is the khala of Anas ibn

00:12:15 --> 00:12:18
			Malik radiyaAllahu ta'ala anhu and she narrates

00:12:18 --> 00:12:22
			Atana Rasulullahi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam that the Prophet

00:12:22 --> 00:12:25
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam came to us one day

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28
			and he went to sleep at our house

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30
			and the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was related

00:12:30 --> 00:12:35
			to them Fastayqada Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam wahuwa yadhak

00:12:35 --> 00:12:37
			The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam woke up from

00:12:37 --> 00:12:39
			a nap in our home and he was

00:12:39 --> 00:12:41
			laughing Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and when you read

00:12:41 --> 00:12:42
			that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was laughing

00:12:43 --> 00:12:45
			that should make you happy because you love

00:12:45 --> 00:12:46
			the joy of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:12:46 --> 00:12:48
			just as you cry when the Prophet Sallallahu

00:12:48 --> 00:12:50
			Alaihi Wasallam cries as you're reading these episodes

00:12:50 --> 00:12:52
			of the seerah so imagine he woke up

00:12:52 --> 00:12:54
			in your house and he was laughing Sallallahu

00:12:54 --> 00:12:58
			Alaihi Wasallam faqultu ya Rasulullah bi abi wa

00:12:58 --> 00:13:01
			ummi ma adhakaka by my mother and my

00:13:01 --> 00:13:03
			father may my mother and my father be

00:13:03 --> 00:13:05
			sacrificed for you O Messenger of Allah, what

00:13:05 --> 00:13:07
			caused you to laugh and in one narration

00:13:07 --> 00:13:09
			may Allah keep you laughing may Allah keep

00:13:09 --> 00:13:11
			you happy these people love to see the

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13
			Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam happy and the Prophet

00:13:13 --> 00:13:16
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says ra'aytu qawman min

00:13:16 --> 00:13:20
			ummati yarkabuna hadhal bahra that I saw some

00:13:20 --> 00:13:23
			people from my ummah that were riding along

00:13:23 --> 00:13:26
			the seas meaning the first marines of the

00:13:26 --> 00:13:28
			ummah and the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam says

00:13:28 --> 00:13:32
			kal muluki alal asirrah they were like kings

00:13:32 --> 00:13:37
			like there is something so deeply profound that

00:13:37 --> 00:13:39
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is describing this

00:13:39 --> 00:13:41
			first group, this first batch of his ummah

00:13:41 --> 00:13:44
			they're desert Arabs that will go out on

00:13:44 --> 00:13:48
			the seas and they're like kings on their

00:13:48 --> 00:13:51
			thrones and Umm Haram radiyaAllahu ta'ala said

00:13:51 --> 00:13:54
			Ya Rasulullah, immediately she said ud'u Allah

00:13:54 --> 00:13:56
			an yaj'ali minhum make dua that I

00:13:56 --> 00:13:59
			be amongst them and the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:13:59 --> 00:14:02
			Wasallam made the dua, he says fa innaki

00:14:02 --> 00:14:06
			minhum you are from them so it was

00:14:06 --> 00:14:08
			not only a dua that you would be

00:14:08 --> 00:14:10
			amongst them the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said

00:14:10 --> 00:14:15
			you are from those people thumma nama thumma

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17
			istayqada wa huwa yadhak then the Prophet Sallallahu

00:14:17 --> 00:14:20
			Alaihi Wasallam went asleep and he once again

00:14:20 --> 00:14:24
			woke up and he laughed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:14:24 --> 00:14:25
			and I asked the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:14:25 --> 00:14:27
			what he saw so the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:14:27 --> 00:14:28
			Wasallam saw an extension of that dream he

00:14:28 --> 00:14:31
			saw more, Allah gave him more in his

00:14:31 --> 00:14:34
			dream Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and she once again

00:14:34 --> 00:14:35
			affirmed with the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Ya

00:14:35 --> 00:14:37
			Rasulullah, am I one of those people you're

00:14:37 --> 00:14:39
			seeing in your dream and the Prophet Sallallahu

00:14:39 --> 00:14:42
			Alaihi Wasallam said anti minhum, you are indeed

00:14:42 --> 00:14:44
			amongst them and the second time he said

00:14:44 --> 00:14:47
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam anti minal awwaleen, you are

00:14:47 --> 00:14:49
			from the first you are from the first

00:14:49 --> 00:14:52
			people that are amongst them and SubhanAllah what

00:14:52 --> 00:14:54
			happened is that Umm Haram bint Mulhan radiyaAllahu

00:14:54 --> 00:14:57
			anha, married Ubadah ibn Samit radiyaAllahu anhu and

00:14:57 --> 00:15:00
			they were on the ship to Cyprus she

00:15:00 --> 00:15:03
			accompanied Ubadah radiyaAllahu ta'ala anhu on the

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05
			ship to Cyprus and just as they got

00:15:05 --> 00:15:07
			off the ship she fell off of her

00:15:07 --> 00:15:09
			animal and she broke her neck and she

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11
			passed away radiyaAllahu ta'ala anhu and her

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13
			grave is still in Cyprus now this is

00:15:13 --> 00:15:16
			a very well known story but just think

00:15:16 --> 00:15:19
			about the vision here right, how many more

00:15:19 --> 00:15:21
			episodes did the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam see

00:15:21 --> 00:15:22
			but no one was there to narrate the

00:15:22 --> 00:15:24
			dream or he didn't share the dream with

00:15:24 --> 00:15:26
			anyone else what did the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:15:26 --> 00:15:28
			Wasallam already see of what's happening right now

00:15:28 --> 00:15:32
			in these consequential times in history and where

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34
			do I fall into this now what I

00:15:34 --> 00:15:37
			want to also come to in conclusion is

00:15:37 --> 00:15:39
			that a lot of times we're thinking once

00:15:39 --> 00:15:43
			again these major major major qualities these major

00:15:43 --> 00:15:45
			deeds right stepping up to the plate and

00:15:45 --> 00:15:48
			indeed we should be an ummah of himmah

00:15:48 --> 00:15:50
			we should be an ummah of ambition and

00:15:50 --> 00:15:51
			we should try to step up to the

00:15:51 --> 00:15:52
			plate and we should try to do great

00:15:52 --> 00:15:55
			things and not settle for less but it's

00:15:55 --> 00:15:57
			also the small things too so I want

00:15:57 --> 00:15:58
			to leave you with these two ahadith one

00:15:58 --> 00:16:00
			of them is the hadith of Abu Dharr

00:16:00 --> 00:16:02
			radiyaAllahu ta'ala anhu that he says that

00:16:02 --> 00:16:05
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ

00:16:05 --> 00:16:10
			أُمَّتِ بِأَعْمَالِهَا حَسَنِهَا وَسَيِّئِهَا the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12
			Wasallam said that my ummah was presented to

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14
			me with its good deeds and with its

00:16:14 --> 00:16:17
			bad deeds so I saw the good, the

00:16:17 --> 00:16:18
			bad, the ugly the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20
			is saying I saw the trajectory of this

00:16:20 --> 00:16:22
			ummah and that's why the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25
			Wasallam would talk about the things that unfortunately

00:16:25 --> 00:16:28
			we'd fall into right of gluttony and greed

00:16:28 --> 00:16:32
			and deceit and lying and becoming inconsequential despite

00:16:32 --> 00:16:36
			our numbers and rebranding and renaming evil things

00:16:36 --> 00:16:39
			and all of these things that unfortunately become

00:16:39 --> 00:16:41
			qualities of the ummah despite its large number

00:16:41 --> 00:16:42
			because the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said I

00:16:42 --> 00:16:45
			saw its good and I saw its bad

00:16:45 --> 00:16:48
			but then he says Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam فَرَأَيْتُ

00:16:48 --> 00:16:53
			فِي مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا الْأَذَى يُنَحَى عَنِ الطَرِيقِ I

00:16:53 --> 00:16:57
			saw something from its good that someone removing

00:16:57 --> 00:17:00
			something harmful from the road so remember when

00:17:00 --> 00:17:01
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said I saw

00:17:01 --> 00:17:03
			a man strolling in paradise because he removed

00:17:03 --> 00:17:06
			some other something harmful from the road so

00:17:06 --> 00:17:09
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is seeing that

00:17:09 --> 00:17:12
			something so small enters a person into Jannah

00:17:12 --> 00:17:14
			so I saw something so small from my

00:17:14 --> 00:17:17
			ummah to come and he said Sallallahu Alaihi

00:17:17 --> 00:17:21
			Wasallam وَرَأَيْتُ فِي سَيِّئِ أَعْمَالِهَا وَرَأَيْتُ فِي سَيِّئِ

00:17:21 --> 00:17:23
			أَعْمَالِهَا he said Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam that I

00:17:23 --> 00:17:26
			saw from its evil deeds that there is

00:17:26 --> 00:17:28
			snot in the masjid that is not buried

00:17:28 --> 00:17:30
			now subhanallah this gives you actually something to

00:17:30 --> 00:17:32
			think about back then they didn't have carpets

00:17:32 --> 00:17:34
			in the masjid so if you saw something

00:17:34 --> 00:17:36
			like snot or you saw something that wasn't

00:17:36 --> 00:17:38
			great you buried it in the dirt at

00:17:38 --> 00:17:40
			that time subhanallah so he's saying Sallallahu Alaihi

00:17:40 --> 00:17:43
			Wasallam I saw these very small good deeds

00:17:43 --> 00:17:47
			these very small bad deeds these very small

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49
			qualities of good and bad that maybe we

00:17:49 --> 00:17:51
			don't pay attention to another narration the Prophet

00:17:51 --> 00:17:54
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ أُجُورُ أُمَّتِي

00:17:54 --> 00:17:58
			that verily the rewards the أجر the أجور

00:17:58 --> 00:18:00
			of my ummah were shown to me and

00:18:00 --> 00:18:03
			he said Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam حَتَّ الْقَذَاتُ يُخْرِيجُهَا

00:18:03 --> 00:18:06
			الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ even a small peck of

00:18:06 --> 00:18:08
			dust that a man would remove from the

00:18:08 --> 00:18:11
			masjid I'm giving this example to say that

00:18:11 --> 00:18:13
			it could be a small deed that you

00:18:13 --> 00:18:16
			do that actually put you in the vision

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18
			of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam but what

00:18:18 --> 00:18:20
			you have to do is you have to

00:18:20 --> 00:18:22
			place yourself in the vision of the Prophet

00:18:22 --> 00:18:24
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam you have to place yourself

00:18:24 --> 00:18:26
			in some of those qualities that the Prophet

00:18:26 --> 00:18:28
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentions and not just to

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30
			say I don't belong to this category or

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33
			that category and think about this, someone says

00:18:33 --> 00:18:36
			well I'm not from Al Bayt Nabis Sallallahu

00:18:36 --> 00:18:39
			Alaihi Wasallam I am not from the people

00:18:39 --> 00:18:41
			of Asham or the people of Yemen or

00:18:41 --> 00:18:42
			the people that the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:18:42 --> 00:18:46
			is mentioning there I'm not from maybe I'm

00:18:46 --> 00:18:48
			not even an Arab I don't even speak

00:18:48 --> 00:18:51
			Arabic so I can't read the Quran in

00:18:51 --> 00:18:52
			a certain way or I can't do this

00:18:52 --> 00:18:54
			in a certain way or maybe I'm not

00:18:54 --> 00:18:55
			rich so I can't give a lot of

00:18:55 --> 00:18:57
			so all these things about people of I

00:18:57 --> 00:18:59
			don't fall in that category maybe I'm not

00:18:59 --> 00:19:02
			a scholar so I don't fall in the

00:19:02 --> 00:19:04
			category of these people of so you degrade

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07
			yourself to a point that you don't aspire

00:19:07 --> 00:19:10
			to be of any of those categories that

00:19:10 --> 00:19:13
			the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam mentioned and that's

00:19:13 --> 00:19:17
			not what Allah demands from us instead we

00:19:17 --> 00:19:18
			are a great Ummah because we are the

00:19:18 --> 00:19:21
			followers of a great Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:19:21 --> 00:19:24
			so aim high and go into this genre

00:19:24 --> 00:19:26
			of Ahadith and think about it, could I

00:19:26 --> 00:19:28
			have been from the dream of the Prophet

00:19:28 --> 00:19:31
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam could I have qualified for

00:19:31 --> 00:19:33
			one of those qualities that the Prophet Sallallahu

00:19:33 --> 00:19:35
			Alaihi Wasallam praised and saw in the Ummah

00:19:35 --> 00:19:37
			to come and then suffice yourself at the

00:19:37 --> 00:19:40
			end with Anta ma'man ahbabt you are with

00:19:40 --> 00:19:42
			those whom you love and so you express

00:19:42 --> 00:19:44
			your love for the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

00:19:44 --> 00:19:45
			and on the day and night of Friday

00:19:45 --> 00:19:47
			you increase in your salawat on the Messenger

00:19:47 --> 00:19:50
			Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and you seek to be

00:19:50 --> 00:19:54
			amongst the people even though you do not

00:19:54 --> 00:19:56
			have the deeds necessarily that put you in

00:19:56 --> 00:19:59
			their ranks but through your love of them

00:19:59 --> 00:20:02
			may Allah Azawajal make us amongst those who

00:20:02 --> 00:20:04
			truly love Allah and who truly love the

00:20:04 --> 00:20:07
			Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and who love the

00:20:07 --> 00:20:12
			righteous until their righteousness becomes infectious in a

00:20:12 --> 00:20:14
			good way and it takes over us and

00:20:14 --> 00:20:16
			our deeds start to resemble them and may

00:20:16 --> 00:20:17
			Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala make us amongst

00:20:17 --> 00:20:19
			those who are raised up on the Day

00:20:19 --> 00:20:22
			of Judgment from As-Sabiqoon Al-Awwaloon from

00:20:22 --> 00:20:25
			the first in one of these blessed categories

00:20:25 --> 00:20:27
			and may Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala allow

00:20:27 --> 00:20:30
			us in these consequential moments to rise to

00:20:30 --> 00:20:32
			the occasion ahead of us and to be

00:20:32 --> 00:20:35
			amongst those special followers of the Prophet Sallallahu

00:20:35 --> 00:20:38
			Alaihi Wasallam Allahumma Ameen Jazakum Allah Khairan Wassalamu

00:20:38 --> 00:20:40
			Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
