Bismillah salam Wa alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu this is
your sister nayeem A B Robert here. And this is a video in a
series that I am doing of reminders, tips, strategies,
support really, for my sister's during this Corona pandemic that
is sweeping over the world. You don't need me to tell you how
things have progressed over the past few weeks, we are in the
middle of a global medical emergency. And so bearing in mind
how our lives have changed as a result of the corona outbreak, I
wanted to basically offer you some strategies to get you through this
time to get you through this time in the best way inshallah so that
you can emerge from this whole period, a better version of
yourself, insha Allah because as we know, we are always simply on a
journey back to Allah subhanaw taala, no matter what the
circumstances. And so my desire for you insha Allah is that you
make the most of this opportunity that Allah subhanaw taala has
given us a present wrapped in sandpaper, as they call it, an
opportunity for us to do so many things differently. And that's
what this series is going to be addressing. So please like,
comment, subscribe, share this video, Inshallah, if it is
beneficial to you. So, in this video, I'm going to be talking
about how to look after your spiritual health during this
Corona virus pandemic, how to really get the baraka from this
particular test and trial, because as you know, you know, we are
always in one of three states, we are either being tested, we are
being tested, or we are going to be tested. And so if that is the
case, then how can we make the most of this particular period
that we're in to gain for our accurate and also benefit
ourselves in this dunya. And so I have five points for you to be
able to look after your spiritual health during this particular
period. And the first is topical,
topical, trusting in Allah subhanaw taala is plan. Remember
how many promises Allah subhanaw taala has made for us, was made to
us in the Quran, in Namale, or through usara. Verily with
difficulty there is ease. And verily He will not burden a soul
more than it can bear. And the fact that we know that it is
always good for the believer. When God comes to us as the Hadith
states, when God comes to us, we are grateful to Allah and that is
good for us. And if we are afflicted or we have some kind of
trial or calamity, then we are patient with it. And that too is
good for us. And that is only the case of with the believer, the
person who has Iman. And so trust in Allah's plan, my sister, know
that there is always here in everything that Allah has decreed.
Trust that it will be okay. Trust that there is baraka in it that
there is benefit in it for you and your family and your community. If
only you cease that trusting and Allah's plan, inshallah will help
you to push away those fears of anxiety or fear of panic of
powerlessness, because Allah subhanaw taala is Rob Bell Alameen
He is the Lord of All the Worlds and he has decreed this situation,
and has put us in this situation for a reason, trust that there is
clear in it for you and look for the he'll be one of those people
who is determined to make every single situation every
circumstance one that actually allows them to draw closer to
Allah to purify themselves to become a better version of
themselves and to return to invest in their akhira. That's the first
thing and leading on from that is the second tip. And that is use
this time when we are being reminded of our mortality when we
are being reminded of our fragility.
Use this time to repent, use this time to return to Allah subhanaw
taala use this time as a reminder that this life is short. And none
of us has any guarantees of how long we will be here. This is an
amazing Reminder for every single one of us that death will come to
all of us and it is not something that is in our control. And so
whether you are ill or not whether you know anyone who's ill or not
just use the situation to propel you forward towards repentance may
It is still far. ask Allah to forgive you for your sins. Ask Him
to guide you to protect you return to Him. If you neglected certain
aspects of your deen, go back to them. If you have stopped doing
the actions that you know Allah is pleased with start doing them
again. We're going up to Ramadan, we're coming up to Ramadan around
the corner. This is the perfect time for you to start inculcating
the values that we normally stress in Ramadan.
Having a sincere intention,
keeping our Salah keeping away from haram doing more acts of a
bad doing more sadaqa reading more Quran. Normally as a community to
be fair, we hold up until Ramadan. And then we say in Ramadan, I'm
going to do all of that. But if Allah subhanaw taala in this time
of social distancing, and isolation, what if Allah Subhana
Allah is giving us an opportunity now to start doing those things.
Now, as a preparation for Ramadan that may look very different to
any Ramadan we've ever seen before. Maybe now is the time for
us to fortify ourselves in case of that eventuality.
The third tip that I have for you is to be grateful for the good
right now. Now, a lot of people might find it counterintuitive to
say, well, how can you be grateful in you know, in the midst of a
pandemic, in the midst of an emergency in the midst of all of
this and masajid are shutting down, you know, there's no module
masala, there's all of this stuff happening, people are dying, how
can you say be grateful? Well, I will say this. The reality is,
there are always good things in the world. And there are always
bad things in the world. That is the truth that is the Sunnah of
this life. And so at this very delicate time, my dear sister,
I invite you to focus on the good in your life, and feel grateful
for it. Now this is a time. If there was no other time, this is a
time to start counting your blessings. Of course, you will not
be able to count the favors of Allah. But now is the time really
to look at your situation and take stock. Take stock of the abundance
that we have take stock of in spite of the difficulties in spite
of the fear and the panic, take stock of what we do have. We have
each other. We have our families. For most of us at Hamdulillah. We
have our health, we have shops to go to to get the food that we
need. We have our children, we have our Eman most importantly and
so every minute of every day be thinking of what is what is good
about your situation what you have to be grateful for and return to
Allah and return to Allah and gratitude and focus on the good
that you have focus on the positive in your situation. Rather
than the negative too many of us spend time dwelling in the
negativity of our situation even when things are good. At a time
like this, it can be very tempting for us to dwell in negativity
times 10. But now is not the time to entertain negativity in any
shape, size or form. Now is the time to focus on gratitude, to
focus on positive energy to focus on contentment, on Sakina on joy
on love, on helping our fellow man helping our neighbors giving
sadaqa making dua being of service to the people being of a person
who brings solace being somebody who brings the humor who makes the
cup of tea, whatever it is.
This is the time to focus on what is going right in your life, what
is good in your life and what you have to be grateful for. Rather
than paying too much attention to the inconveniences or the
difficulties or even the fears that we have, you know, very,
very, you know, it's to be expected, but we don't have to
focus on them. And then the fourth tip that I have for you is to
seize any opportunities for
right seize any opportunities that are coming your way to do good.
Whether it is for yourself to read more Quran to pray your sunnah
Salah if you're no longer going to work, for example, okay, maybe to
start praying tahajjud maybe to start a habit if your children are
home, start something in the home with them whether it's reading
Quran or praying together, reading books together.
The fact that you have a family and that you're able to cook for
them and look after them. This is a hey, how can we help others? How
can we be a support for others? Can you send a text every day to
people
You know, either who are vulnerable or who are just out
there just to let them know that you're thinking about them make a
silent or offer somebody made to offer the world.
How can you seize the opportunities for here in this
situation every day, if you can focus on that, and really make
intention that when I'm doing this, this is for akhira
Bismillah. This is for accurate this is for Acura. Because if
you're able to do that, then no matter what the situation, no
matter how the situation pans out, you will emerge, winning with
regards to Acura and inshallah a better version of yourself and
that is the whole point of this life, right. And the fifth thing
that I want to say is what I have already touched on, and that is to
increase in a better and just make more dua make.io, for those you
know, and those who don't know make dua for those near and far
and increase in a better, do more good deeds, read more Quran, make
more dua. And finally, just remember that there are certain
aspects of your health and your well being that you have control
over. So take that control. In another video I will be talking
about social distancing, what to do, what not to do and how to make
it work for you rather than against you. But until then, until
that video, this is me signing out. May Allah bless you and your
families with continued health, high Eman and positivity
throughout this period. pass this video along if it has been helpful
to you. Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE, like, comment, share, and do all
those good things that isn't Allah and may Allah reward you all and I
will see you soon inshallah. Salaam Alaikum Warahmatullahi
