Naima B. Robert – Tell Your Story in a Book Like my Client, Tumkeen Muslimah Author Project

Bismillah Assalamu alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. I have

spoken before about the four types of nonfiction books that you could

potentially be writing. And today I want to dive deep into one of my

clients books, which is a story based book in a way. It's kind of

a story based book and a community book because it's a personal

narrative anthology. And it is a collection of poems and poetry and

prose by Tom Kean. And her book is named breathe, reflections and

poetry from the 2020 locked down. My name is that email be Robert,

I'm award winning author of over almost 30 books for children,

teens and adults. And I'm on a mission to help create 222 Muslim

authors by the end of the year. So let's jump into this particular

video. So Tom keen is one of our clients. She has been in several

of our programs that she has been in the release program where we

help authors Well, we help women to write their book. She's also

been in the amplify mastermind, where we help women who have

written their book now publish it, launch it, promote it, put it out

into the world, Mashallah. She's also been part of my be the HERO

Program, and she's a show up graduate. So this book is

literally a collection of poetry and prose that she wrote during

the lockdown. She self published it, she had us edit it. And she

used our guide in order to go through the steps of self

publishing and the steps of launching the book. Now, how did

the book do? Well, it was a hot new release on in several

territories. It was also a best seller, Mashallah. The book has

won at think, to date two awards. And as a result of this book, she

has gone on to Subhanallah write a memoir. She's also been invited to

speak at online summits, in person summits, to recite poetry at Big

World Hijab Day events, to collaborate with publishers and

really grow her audience and grow her platform and grow her impact

in an amazing way.

And all it took was,

I guess, her trusting in the value of what she had written. Now

tonkean had already been writing for some some online newspapers.

So she was already getting into journalism. But when I tell you

how many times she stopped this project, and paused this project,

because she didn't believe that her writing was worthwhile, and

that there was value in it. And it took myself and coach hand and the

team to keep talking her past that, talking her past her fears,

speaking life into her really and reminding her of the value of this

book hamdulillah with our help, and By Allah's grace, she pushed

through, she was able to get this out into the world as her first

book, and trust me when I say it is not going to be the last

inshallah.

And she is just one of our many, many clients, these are some of

you know, high low age ranges, you know, of different countries in

have something valuable to share, and they're prepared to believe

that it's valuable, if they are prepared to commit, and they have

an ability to express themselves, they can do this, it's figure out
