My dear sister,

do you ever feel like

your life is out of control?

Like you don't know what to expect from

one day to the next, from week to

week, from month to month.

It's like you're on a hamster wheel

doing the same things again and again,

not making any progress, not moving forward.

Nothing's changing.

Nothing's

as you'd like it to be.

SubhanAllah.

We know that Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, is

in control of everything.

But the amazing thing

about the creation,

about us, the children of Adam and Howard,

is that we've got this amazing

ability

to make our own decisions.

And this is something that I find so

empowering. It's something that I speak whenever I'm

asked to give a presentation or to address

an audience.

I always come back

to this most empowering

belief

and that is that we as human beings

have choices.

Now, you may be wondering why I'm sitting

here talking to you about

control and about human life and choices and

that's because

it's a topic that has come up for

me again and again as I write my

book.

And that is this issue of choice and

this issue of who you choose to be

in your life.

How you choose to show up in your

life as it is right now.

Not in the past, not in an imagined

future,

not in a wished for present,

but in your life as it is right

now. And that's why I'm inviting you to
