Mr Muhammad Rahim Al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah he Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi. Germaine was sitting with a statement and Kofi Annan cathedral my bad Subhanallah Ed Myrna Ilana, I am Tina in Antalya Hakeem provisionally so today we are silly Emily, what an awkward Emily Sani of Coco Lee bar salam Wa alaykum dear viewers around the world wherever you may be, asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept our pm RCM our do ours May Allah subhana wa Tada accept from all of us, every good that we do in the month of Ramadan, and on to simply accept them. May Allah subhanho wa Taala magnify them, and mirabile Alameen continuing with our series, the
branches of faith. And this, the series, the name of the series revival. And the reason I named this series revival is because first of all, we need to know what Iman is, and then how to revive our faith. Because this is what the Quran mentions about reviving our faith over and over again, this is what we learned from the sahaba. This is what we learned from Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that Iman is something that fluctuates, it increases, it decreases. So we have to do those things that keeps our iman high at all times. And this is the series that we are going through Alhamdulillah. So far, we have covered many of them. And I want you to go back and look at those
videos again, share them with others in sha Allah. And once again, ask yourself this one simple question. If I mentioning something that that is a sign and a branch of our of Iman and faith, then that means that the opposite is what brings down our iman. So this is why it's very important to keep this in mind. Now yesterday I talked about if you remember I talked about justice, what is what does Islam say about justice, the importance of justice, and I also talked about equality and equity and so on and so forth. Now, the only way justice can be implemented, the only way justice can be established in a society is when there is something known as a bill ma roof. And here I'll Monica
which is our next branch of faith that we want to talk about today, which is encouraging good in joining good and forbidding evil. Now when we look at our society in general, there is something that we all know, which is called checks and balances. Every company has checks and balances when it comes to schools that you know, between a teacher and a student, there's something called checks and balances. And not only that, but every single employee goes through this process of checks and balances. So because every single person has a potential to do something that is wrong. Now, they may do it intentionally, they may do it unintentionally. But if they know that there is a person
above them, when a student knows that there is my teacher, that they're keeping an eye on what I do, when a employee knows that my employer is looking at everything that I do, then this is called checks and balances. When you have a government when you have, you know certain people in the in the position of government, when they know that there is checks and balances, they know that there is a certain kind of backlash, or there's some certain feedback that comes from this the people of the city and so forth. Now the only way checks and balances can be established is if there is under my roof and the hangman card. Because just think about this. If there were no checks and balances, if
there was no open maruf and the heat island mancha than any person can do whatever they want to do. And that means that a person when they're doing wrong, no one will stop them from doing something wrong. And what we don't realize is that when you have a society, and there is no, I'm going to be my roof, and here I'll mancha then the wrong is simply only going to get more wrong. The wrong is only going to increase in a community and this is something that we see at all times. So how are we looking at what what America is going through right now? I mean, we talk about the the racism that goes on in our community, we talk about the the rhetoric that goes on in our community, we see the
house certain segments of the community are targeted by by people who are very violent in nature. And what happens is that when these people they become victims, in many cases, what happens is that we as a Muslim community, we're usually quiet because today what's happening to the Muslim community is that we say that we understand. I'm gonna bring my roof and a yarmulke. But well, we don't realize that
Muslim community is that this idea of standing up against injustice, and standing up for what is right in joining what is right, encouraging what is right. And not only that, but forbidding the evil. This is something that we find even in the life of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, even before he became a prophet, even before he became a prophet, which means that whether it is whether if the victim is a Muslim, or they're not a Muslim, it becomes my responsibility as a Muslim, to stand up for what is right, to encourage that which is good, and stop people who are doing wrong from committing the wrong over and over again, brothers and sisters, the story of
healthful food is a very well known story. What exactly did or so so law why you some do later on in his life, he even recalled that incident and he said that if that same situation were to come again, I would be loved. I would love to be part of it again. What was the prophet doing? He saw a man whose rights were violated. And what did he do? He stood up against that wrong, he was encouraging good and he was forbidding the evil. So this is why is very important, because had this person who came into Makkah, whose rights were violated, if no one would have stood up for him, that means that every single person later on who would have come their rights would have also been violated by the
fact that this helpful for lol this agreement that took place in Mecca, it did take place. That's why the people that came later on in Mecca for the purpose of business, their rights were protected, the rights were protected, the rights were not violated down the road. So when we do a lot of and the here and Moncure overall in a society, then we are going to protect the rights of other people. And subhanAllah we see this also the same concept that if you don't stop the evil, the evil will keep on increasing. We see this concept even in the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, a very well known Hadith of the Prophet narrated by a nomad even Bashir on the Ultron wherein he
says that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said the likeness of the man who observes the limits of Allah subhanho wa taala. And that man who transgresses the limits of Allah subhanho wa Taala is like two people who board a ship.
There is a group of people on the upper deck and there are people on the lower deck, the water is available were on the upper deck. Now if the people of the lower deck say that instead of keep us keep on going upstairs and getting water and causing them hassle, why don't we just create a hole in our part of the ship and we will have access to unlimited water. Now the prophets are some says that if the upper deck people do not prevent the lower deck from doing something foolish as this type, then they all will perish even though it is only one group of people that is doing something foolish, but everyone will perish. And this is why once again this is where we learn this concept
that we have to always encourage the good and forbid the evil. In the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala he says that we are the best nation, quantum HighRock Ummah, you are the best nation. Why? Because you in enjoying the good, you encourage the good, you order the good, and you forbid from evil. Now, but before we go any further ahead, there's really something I have to really mention. See, when we talk about I'm a big admirer of the word Omer in itself in Arabic, it means to command. Now we have to understand that when we talk about a command, there is a spectrum, that's called a command. C, if I want to talk to my child, I give a command a certain way. If I'm talking to an adult, I'm going to
give a command a certain way. If I'm talking to my parents, I'm giving a command a certain way. If I'm talking to my boss, I'm giving a command a certain way. When you talk to every single person, you might be you might be you might have one message. You're trying to get them to do one certain thing. But there's not one way of doing that. And that is the biggest one that we have today. When we hear that I have to enjoin, good, I have to order that is good. And I have to stop what is forbidden. A lot of times we lose what exactly hikmah is, we have no idea of what hikmah is, there is no concept of wisdom. We don't apply wisdom. When we do these kinds of things. Once again, we go
back to the Sita of the Prophet salallahu alayhi salam and no better example than his life, that every time there were situations where he was very strict, and he was very harsh, but there were other times when he was very soft and he was calm. Go back to the story of the man who came inside the Masjid. Imagine if a man came inside the masjid today, and he began to urinate inside the Masjid. He began to urinate inside the magick
I mean today you can just possibly imagine, what will we do about that person? What will we have to say about that kind of person, but Rasulullah salAllahu alayhi wa sallam knows that this person does not know. I mean no person in their sane mind will come inside the masjid and begin to urinating. That means that this man who came inside the masjid, he probably does not understand the, the sanctity of the place where he is. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam called him the Sahaba were like losing their minds. But the Prophet SAW Salem, he taught us that he also did on the model and the here and Moncure but he did in a very different way. The province of some would always
enjoin good and forbid evil, but it was done in different ways. So this is why it's very important that we are not you know, we cannot just be walking around the city as like a haram police officer haram haram haram you know, we have these kinds of people in our community so Han Allah, you know, every time they go anywhere Oh, haram haram, like not understanding the situation, not understanding where they are. And not only that, but it's not just haram, but it's better I'm gonna FIP and as Subhan Allah, it's shocking the times that we live in, but this is exactly what is going on. So this is why it's very important that if we see someone doing something wrong, there's not only one way of
doing our roof and he and Monica, the province has some has taught us that there's something called wisdom, apply some wisdom in your approach, and if you do this, that inshallah there'll be much good that will come out of it. But if we apply no wisdom, then there'll be much better that will come out of this. Remember the story of the man who came to the Prophet sallallahu ala somebody says Yasuo law, permit me to commit Zina in fornication. Now, the problem could have settled a whole Hola, Otter Illa villa, throw this man out the masjid How dare he comes in asking this kind of question. But no The problem also, he's doing a remodel funny. I'm one cut by explain to this person, that
would you want anyone to do the same thing with your mother, or your sister or your daughter? And he says no. And then the problem is that, um, he prayed for him. And he put his hands on his chest, and he made dua for him, that Allah subhanaw taala cleanse his heart, that is a model in the hair moniker. But it's done in an amazing way. So this is something that we all have to understand that there is a spectrum, how we command there's a spectrum, that how we forbid people from doing something. The next thing I want to quickly mention, the last two things I want to mention, in regards to this subject is that while we grew up with these values, that you should always do what
is right, always do and always stand up for what is right, stand up against what is wrong. But Subhanallah, we still have a dunya where we have people in this dunya that when you stand up for what is right, people are going to stand up against you. This is something that we will see for the rest of our life. And this is the system this dunya whenever you send it for what is right, and it's mind boggling at times, that you think that you are doing something good. You're standing up for what is right, a person is you know, misusing their power, for example, and you stand up against that, but you're gonna have people who will stand up against you. And so what do we do that kind of
situation? Allah subhanaw taala gives us his advice. And so to the officer will also in in Santa Fe HOSA Illa Levine Manu wa Montessori Had Allah says that every one of the human race is in a state of loss except for people who have these four things in the Levina Armano. Except for those people who have Iman, once again, we're talking about EMA, EMA, Ema and that means that it's not just simply Islam. It's more one is to believe in Allah when we talk about believing Allah, Imani is some of the same, but then Islam is simply just doing the five pillars of faith five pillars of Islam, whereas Iman is much more than that. So Allah says Illa, Lavina. Manu, those who have Iman. And then after
Iman, they just simply it's not just lip service, while I'm going to salejaw they back it up with actions whatsoever, so we'll hop and now they're not only simply acknowledging it, they're verbally saying it, they're doing it through their actions, but now they're doing urban models and the here on Moncure. They are in joining and they are advising people to do what is right. What the Westside will hug. What. So be sober, and they give advices and they give what sia to others to be patient. Why patient because when you stand up for something that is right, you're always going to have people who will come against you. But it is our job to always stick to that which is the hook and to
always stick to that which is the truth and what is right. Finally, the last thing I want to share with all of you is that what we have is a situation today amongst our families and friends, something that has been highlighted when we talk about the stories of bunnies saw eaten and what am I referring to let me explain. See the people bunny
Islam in one of the reasons why they were cursed by Allah subhanho wa Taala is that they would enjoin good and forbid evil. But on top of that, when they saw someone doing something wrong, they will say, You know what, I know that this person is doing something wrong. But because this person is my buddy, this person is my friend, let me go and let me still hang out with them, I'm still going to be close to them. And I'm simply going to ignore the wrong that they're doing. And because of the fact that they kept on socializing with them, this in itself is sort of an approval, because you can go and tell a person that I disagree with what you're doing. But if you're always going to
be around that person, and you are, you're simply going to ignore the wrong that they're doing. And you don't even mention it. And there's nothing in your heart that you feel bad about it, then this is a very big problem, because it is as if from your actions and from your attitude. This is an approval. So this is why it's very important that what we learn from the stories of bunnies, Saeed is that we make sure that even if I have to be around someone, because a lot of times we feel like there's a person who's going far from being let me be friends with that person. And hopefully, I can bring them close to them. Now, it's very important that at this time, do we keep an eye out for what
they're making sure that we are having more of an effect on them more than they are having an effect on us. Because see, what happens is that many times shaitaan will say, You know what, this is your chance, you know, bring this person to Islam, bring this person to Iman, bring this person to Allah subhanho wa Taala and you become like this dairy warrior. And then you began to interact with that person, you begin to socialize with that person, not realizing slowly and gradually, more than you have an effect on them, they are rubbing off of you, they are having more an effect on you, and you don't realize it, we may not realize it till it's too late. So that's why there's nothing wrong and
being around people like that. But number one, I'm doing it only for the sake of Allah. Number two, I fully acknowledge the fact that what they're doing is wrong. And I will always stand up against that as wrong. And number three is that if I'm having an effect on them, no problem. I need to always make sure that my Iman is strong. And at the same time, we have to make sure that they are not having more of an effect on us. And as a result, we are not the ones going away from Allah subhanho wa taala. So inshallah I finish on this, of course, there's so much more that can be mentioned on this, the you know, what are the qualities or the characteristics of that person who
gives Dawa? One of those things inshallah there's so much that can be mentioned, or the etiquettes of Dawa were the etiquettes of our motto, Fernando Mancha. There's so much that can be mentioned. But today in this short video, I just wanted to touch upon a few things. Ask Allah subhanaw Without to give all of us ability to act on what has been said and heard and may Allah subhanho wa Taala always make us feel amongst those who are always encouraging good and forbidding others from committing wrong.
