Nadim Bashir – Khatira – Reflections from Surah Teen

			Today in sha Allah and as we've started off, I want to talk about the surah that I just recited in
the second chakra. Anyone remember what I just recited second aka Surah teen. What tt was a tune

know, when people begin, you know, when they start getting into their 60s and 70s, in their 80s, the
health deteriorates over time, their ability to understand rational rationale, you know, it started

this is in reference to that. However, majority of the scholars they say, this idea of Allah talking
		

			about the human race, where it becomes the worst of the worst, is in reference to the human race
when they have disconnected and they have forgotten about Allah subhanho wa taala. See what's you
know, what's interesting about to note about all this, study human civilization in the past, there
were always few things that they would always discuss. And it was something that every single
civilization, they would, they would have discourses on number one, they would always talk about
their God, their god was the most important thing. Number two was the hereafter, there was always a
discussion about what happens after death, we the Muslims as Muslims, we have been told by Allah

then the next discussion would always happen about the soul, what is the status of the soul? What
exactly is the soul, and there was a lot of discussion. But as time progressed, what has happened is
that each of those three things were now replaced. God, who Allah subhanho wa taala, who is the
unseen, now becomes obsolete, and he's becoming obsolete. And that's why today we live in a time,
where the discussion is the why should we discuss about someone who does not exist, or I mean, some
entity that we cannot see, rather less discuss about things that we can see. So now there is so much
		

			of a push. And there's so much of a, you know, there's a strong push and, you know, a driven agenda,
that let's study more about psychology, and let's study more about these different things. And let's
study about different sciences, that we can negate God there, once again, let me make it very clear.
There's nothing wrong in studying psychology. But once again, people are saying different sciences
with the intention of denying God then after that, when it came to the hereafter, people started to
say, You know what, if we want to be happy, rather than being happy in the Hereafter, let's be happy
in this dunya. So the hereafter was then replaced by this dunya and then the soul which is the most
		

			important thing that became replaced by what the focus was no longer the sole, now the focus is the
body. So body and soul are both important both of them have been taught to us, the importance of
both them have been taught to us by ALLAH SubhanA wa Tala and His Prophet SAW Salem, but what the
priority is, nowadays is is the body and the soul has become neglected. And Allah subhana wa tells
us the minute the soul becomes neglected and spirituality is no longer in the discussion, that is
where the human being will then fall. And then when Allah subhanho wa Taala says, He will be he will
fall in fall from Murata now as for the suffering in some orlimar they say that there was a scholar

one who reads the Quran and the one who is connected to the Quran, though they may become older, but
they will still their faculties will remain in place, they will not lose they may not become you

them that they can usually consume, they will never consume it. Let me give you an example. You
know, a Python a say a snake or an anaconda. It has usually large meals, it will take you know big
animals in. But if you see that a snake like that, when it takes in a huge when it consumes a huge
prey, it sits there for two, three weeks, it does not move, because it takes two three weeks to
digest. Sometimes they will have like baby deers, a whole baby deer at one time, but then they will
		

			sit there for three, four weeks, they won't move at all, even if a deer comes in front of them where
they're going to do, they'll just sit there because now there's sufficient the human being thinks
about this. On the other hand, even if the human being has so much, even if he has so much when he
has an opportunity, and he does not have ALLAH SubhanA what to Allah, and if it's unlawful, he will
still go for it. This is how much greedy the human being is. On the other hand, no matter how much
they have, they just want more and more. Now once again, there's nothing wrong to have more and
more. But often, historically speaking, we have seen that people who want more and more than
		

			eventually they lose their ability to defer to differentiate between what is right and what is
wrong. Then they start going for what is wrong and they say you know what the ends justify the
means. I need to take care of my family. It doesn't matter how I get that done. So this is how a
person becomes us for the saifuddien that Allah subhana wa Taala says there's only one there's only
two things that can protect a person from falling to the lowest of the lowest and what is that? Elon

all judges and the best of all of them mean that he has that Hikmah that no other ruler has. And not
only that, but when it comes to judging, he is a type of Judge Allah is judge, jury and executioner.
But such a judge, jury and executioner where Allah says WOMMA rabuka be vollum in the lobby on the
Day of Judgment, Allah will not do it will upon anyone whoever has done whatever they have done,
they will be held accountable for that. So this is something you know, this is a Surah that we often
have heard, I just felt like today we have to understand the surah and once again, the most
		

			important thing that we take from this surah is if we don't live according to the Quran, we don't
live by Iman we don't live by Amina salah. It does not matter what we are. This is why today
Subhanallah one thing that you will see when you're talking about thermal rather than I was further

wa Taala How have we got here to this point? Because we have neglected our responsibilities, the
human has become more about this dunya is become more about materialism is been is become more about
not having a doing this and is no longer about the soul and connecting the soul to Allah subhanho wa
Taala so always we remain with Allah subhanho wa Taala as long as we remain with Allah and Iman and
Kamala Salia in the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW Salem, Allah subhanho wa Taala will give us is ask
