Allah subhanho wa Taala reveal the Quran to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. In a span of 23 years he practically demonstrated for us the Quran. And then after that, if you study Islamic history, that there was a entire effort that went into protecting the words of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, there was a system called masala Hadith that was created and put together in order to protect the hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and then not only that, will we have the profile who were there after the time the province alum who preserved the Quran? Hence today? Well, we have our deen our Islam, it is the
standard and this standard never changes no matter what time it is, no matter what era it is our deen our standard never changes compared to the systems that we see and many other religions that we see. For example, you hear these kinds of things when you are in Rome, you do as the Romans do. Even in Hindi, there's a saying Jessa das where sub s you know, there's a there's a saying, which means that wherever you are you adapt to that society and you start doing the same things. Our Dino said has a standard and that standard never changes in our center is up to your hola hola. Rasulullah for the first 1000 Alima the whoever obeys Allah and His Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they will
attain success. Now there's a hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, which is bad, the ruble Amelie, Phaeton, that haste into our good deeds, because fitness are going to come your way. And one fitna, after another fifth, now, one trial, one test after another test is going to come your way. Sometimes those fitness are going to be small, sometimes those fitness and challenges are going to be as huge as waves. But the only way you can protect yourself is if you hasten towards good deeds. And then the problem is, as someone says, click on a label Muslim, it is like a dark night. Imagine if you are at sea. And there is nothing out there and is a pitch dark at night, you
have no idea where it is, you have no idea where the animals are coming from, you have no idea where the waves are coming from. And then the Prophet saw some he says, use the whole Rajala movement and what you'll see Calphalon that there will come a time that a man will be a used to be horrible movement, and a man will be a believer in the morning, but then he will sell his Deen by night. And then there will be cases where a person is a Muslim and night, but by the morning he will be selling his Dean. Now the question is, what does it mean to sell the dean, it means to start giving up what our Dean has said for a temporary gain. Now, I've talked about this before, but there is one
particular area that today in this brief heart that I want to really emphasize upon, see, you know, one thing that I have seen, you know, I was born and raised here in this country. And the one thing that I have seen in many of the companies in corporate America, and people who work for big companies they have a struggle with, in fact, whenever you know young men and young women, my students are the past one they have come to me, and they have said, you know, check, we want to we want to pursue a certain degree, what do you think about it, I always tell them this one thing I'm about to share with you, because it is a constant challenge that not only are young men and young
women are dealing with, but even our adults are dealing with. And that is that when you work for companies, when you work in a big company, when you work for corporate America and these kinds of like companies where you know, there is a non Islamic culture and non Islamic environment that is predominant, even to the point that I will say that even in the medical field, also in the IT profession, in the in the law world, people who work as attorneys, and so forth. What happens is that, you know, in your profession in order to climb the ladder, at times, you got to start selling your dean, you got to start compromising your dean. You know, in our, in many of the companies, they
have something called Happy Hour. I'm sure you guys know about this, that every time during the week, all the employees, they get together, and they go to a certain place, that place they serve, they sort of hammered they serve beer, they serve alcohol, and what happens that they tell everyone that everyone has to come. And you know how many times our own Muslim brothers and sisters, adults and young, many young women, they are going and they're part of these kinds of gatherings. Why? Because they are they know that if I don't be if I'm not part of these kinds of gatherings, that I'm going to be considered as an outcast. I'm not going to be able to climb the company ladder. I won't
get a promotion next time. And not only that, but what's happening also in these companies at times, that sometimes were put in the position that men and women have to interact with ways that are clearly against the laws of Sharia. You know, you hear things that people are hugging each other men and women have
Give each other Muslim men, Muslim women hugging the opposite gender. Why? Because I don't want to be considered as an outcast. So when we start doing these kinds of things, and then the stories I've heard about how, you know, men and women of the Muslim community, not our community only in Muslim communities in general are Muslim, you know, Muslims who go to work at times, that sometimes they have even people like, you know, other women, other men in their life besides their own spouse, and you start hearing about these kinds of things. And this is not just, you know, when I say these kinds of things, some of your, you know, you're looking at me as if this is a reality, this is
happens, this really happens in companies. And this happens a lot of times our workplaces, and this is the only way it's going to work at times. And I have talked to people who are in these professions, and they have told me the amount of them that you're, you know, if we don't do these kinds of things, that you're not going to get that promotion. You know how many times I've talked to attorneys, that they have told me that if we don't engage in these kinds of things, then you're going to be considered as the lower class attorney, you're going to be working on pro bono cases and so forth. You're not going to be part of one of those elite law firms. You hear these kinds of
things. So the point I'm trying to make is this. As it comes down to adults, first of all, as us
we have to make sure that if we are put in that kind of position for a temporary gain of this dunya we don't sell our deen we don't sell our deen. We don't compromise in our deen. Why? Because this comes only from Allah subhanho wa taala. And if I sell my Deen, why? Because I want some risk, then do you think do you really think Do we really think that Allah is going to give us some risk? Absolutely not. On the other hand, if we say no, I will not so my Deen I will not do what I'm told to do at times. I will not give in to the entire crowd. But I'm gonna maintain my deen and this is my standard. Believe it or not. Today people are starting to realize that what how much value Islam
is how valuable Islam is. Because no matter what time it is, the standard of Islam never changes. People are now starting to come around and they're starting to respect that idea. Yet today we are the ones who are who are selling our deen. So this is why it is so important that when we do this Inshallah, our younger generation, they will learn this. I want our younger generation not to ever be put in a position they may be put in position at times, but we want to teach our young generation when you go to work, you might become an IT consultant, you might have an IT job. You might be an attorney, an engineer, you might become anything, but every single profession trusts me. Nearly
every single profession has these kinds of politics and has these kinds of challenges. And we have to always remember that no matter what field we are part of, we will never sell our deen. Why? Because we don't want to be part of this hadith of Rasulullah sallallahu the minute you start selling your standard, the minute you start compromising, there is no end. Because that's the world that we live in. People are gonna keep on taking from you taking from you till you sell everything till you change your identity till you change the way you see things. And then at the end, they'll just spit you out like a person sphinx spits out gum at the end of the day. So this is why we always
stick with Allah because there is cause for Allah subhanho wa Taala is comes from Allah subhanho wa Taala it does not come from when we sell our deen I ask Allah subhana wa to give us the ability to protect our deen May Allah subhana wa Taala put us in positions and in situations that we are never challenged to sell uncompromising with our Dean Amitabh anatomy does not come to LA Hey, la cama de La Habra cattle.
