Mustafa Khattab – Wisdom

So today, inshallah, we'll be talking briefly about

wisdom. Wisdom is a very precious thing, and

not everyone

has

wisdom.

Wisdom is,

is, close to, common sense. And as they

say in English, common sense is not very

common. Not everyone has common sense. It is

not common.

So a few days ago, a couple of

weeks ago, I was driving, shopping on Tuesday,

and I saw this guy holding the hose

and watering the trees and the grass and

everything. But this is not the problem. The

problem is it was raining

at the time.

So it was raining. He was watering

the plants, and it was ready. So I

said,

What what is the point? What is the

point?

One of our fellow students at the last

word got this question, and it says, what

are the 5 keys to the unseen

that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala only knows? They

are mentioned in the Quran.

So when the, professor said, tell me the

5 things in the Quran that nobody knows

except Allah. So the students said, if if

only Allah knows them,

how do I know them?

Yes. So wisdom is to say the right

thing to the right people.

And so this is wisdom. You think before

you talk.

So wisdom is a gift. Not everyone has

it. Allah says in the Quran, so at

the Baqarah that Allah gives wisdom

to whomever He wants. It's not for everyone.

And whomever Allah

gives wisdom, it's a great privilege.

Sahlil. So So number 3, you think about

the consequences

of what you are going to say or

do.

For example,

So many people, if they think about

they think about the worst, of course. But

if they think about the consequences

of what would happen to her kids,

they will be torn

apart, they will be lost, so they will

never divorce. So they think about the consequences.

Number 2,

So you have to think about the things

you're going to say. Don't just talk like

this,

an answer machine. No. You just think about

what you're going to say. And the prophet,

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, said in the wafamtikkalidinbuqayi

and muslim, that some people

would say something and they're not thinking about

what they are saying, and Allah

will make them fall in the hill fire

for what they say. So you have to

be careful

about what you say. The last thing,

So number 4, you have to think from

your own mistakes.

Don't do the same mistakes again.

So they say, America, the wise one

is not the one who doesn't make mistakes.

We're all human. We we make mistake, but

the wise person is the one who doesn't

do the mistake again.

And some evil people use this saying if

someone tries to marry another woman, so they

say,

don't make the same mistake again. Okay? So

quit.

Should I rip his head off? What should

I do? So the pro assassin said, no.

Take all your all your luggage or your

clothes and put them in front of the

house

pretending that you are moving to another house.

So the other neighbors came and said, why

are you leaving? What happened? So he said,

my neighbor so and so is harming me.

He is nasty to me. So the people

started to cuss at that neighbor and say

bad things about him. So when that neighbor

came and saw people cursing him, he said,

he feels so sore and said, no. Don't

move. Go back, and by Allah, I will

never harm you again.

This is the one this is not taken.

So our man came to,

Sulaiman alaihis salam and said, one of my

neighbors steals my chicken all the time, and

I don't know who here. So, Soleiman alaihis

salam called the people and said, come for

prayer in my house. So all the people

came, all the neighbors.

So Soleiman alaihis

salam said, why do some of you

steal

chicken all night long and when they come

to pray with their heads covered with feathers

from the chicken? So one of them started

to to do like this, clean his head.

So he said, take him. This is the

guy.

So

a man came to, Maui on the Musafiyah

asking for permission to see him, so the

guards stopped him. So he said to the

guard, go and tell him that your brother

will see you.

So the guard went to Mahalia with the

law of Moses and your brother wants to

see you. So he said, which one? Which

one?

So he said, anyway, let him come. So

the man came to Mahawiya of the law.

And Mahawiya didn't know him. So he said,

who are you? So he said, I'm your

brother

from Adam and Eve, Adam and Hawa.

So he said, okay. What do you want?

So he said,

now

you admitted that you are my brother from

Adam and Eve. I want my share in

your money.

So he gave him a sidd. Yeah.

Okay. Take a sidd. He said,

What is this? A cent? What are you

gonna do with a cent? So he said

if I start if I start to give

all my money to all my brothers and

sisters in humanity,

you'll not get a cent. Okay? This will

be, like, 10 10 times what

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
