Comes 10.
And the second thing would be about justice
in your life. Everyone around you
has rights on you, you have rights on
yourself, and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has rights
on you.
So with regard to the first one, most
of the time when people come to me
for counseling,
a husband and wife fighting,
someone in his life is missed up,
usually the first thing that I look at
is the priorities.
So most of the time when there's a
problem in the house
or someone is know is not doing well
in his life or there's a problem in
the community or in Mas'ajid or in societies,
the first thing we have to look at
is the priorities.
And most of the time, the priorities are
missed out. So So for example, on the
personal level,
if someone is not doing well, someone is
living a miserable life,
if you look at the bottom
of everything, you will find that this person
for example is putting his desires
and lower self in front of Allah
He's following his desires.
Allah
says in the Quran, look at those people
who live a miserable life, they take their
desires as God.
So Allah God for them is their desires.
Whether it's money,
in God we trust, they always put it
on the dollar, this is the God we
trust, a green God.
Or whether it's,
whatever,
the money, your word, whatever. Anything you put
before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala that keeps you
away from Salah, for example, and time,
whether it's playing video games or playing soccer
or hockey, whatever.
This is, this becomes a god for you.
As long as you put it in front
of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, it's a god
for you.
On the family level, when people put traditions
and cultural
practices
in front of the law of Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala, then
their life will be misled.
Forcing a lady, for example, to marry against
her wealth, this is putting the tradition and
the culture in front of the Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala.
Also, if we don't give babies their share
of inheritance as some people do, and this
happens
in in Egypt for example, in my village,
my mother couldn't get a share of inheritance
from her parents, not because of Islam, but
because
of the culture.
When you don't allow women to go to
Halakas and to study and to learn, how
can they teach their kids if they have
no knowledge?
And this is again, it's Islam. The prophet
says,
salamu alaymi fariyuda alakuli Muslim, seeking knowledge is
an obligation on every Muslim,
and the word Muslim here means male or
female.
So following the culture
and following our traditions that we got from
our parents and giving it more,
value and more weight,
then and he put it in front of
Allah before
Allah
before his Prophet. Now, you'll have a problem
in your life. And also,
for example, the prophet
says, always look for a husband with deen,
talking to the sisters,
and the brother look for a sister with
deen, and deen is more important than beauty
or money or the family style.
But most of the time, the first thing
we look at, the sister would would look
at a brother with a lot of money,
so he will make her life comfortable,
and the the brother will look at that
sister who is,
pretty.
The dean comes next, and this is where
we always have problems. They come to me,
they shoot at each other, they come bleeding,
and they call 911. We have problems, because
the dean is not there.
Also, in societies where people put politics in
front of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, we always
justify everything, and this is one thing we
humans are good at. We always have excuses.
We never run out of excuses,
And this is why we always have problems,
because we put politics in front of Allah
We don't care about religion. We don't care
about what the Quran says or the Prophet
says. Politics comes first.
Sahaba Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ahi
rabbin.
So I don't think any of the Sahaba
would leave Salatul Jama' in the Masjid if
he lives 1 block away,
And I'm sure there are so many people
who live next door to the Masjid, maybe
they share
a wall with the Masjid, and they don't
come to pray in the Masjid.
They live very close, and some brothers, mashallah,
they drive long distances just to come and
pray in the mash I wouldn't think that
one of the Sahaba
would stay at home to play video games
and not to pray on time, until the
next time for Salah comes. And the reason
is, they aren't playing video games.
Right? So this is not acceptable in Islam.
You have to put your priorities in order.
First things come first,
last things come last. Otherwise, your life will
be misled,
And, we have to wrap it up. And
next time, inshallah, we'll talk about justice and
ativeness Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
