And what we can learn from them, this

is part number 5.

We said in the last time that the

Sahaba of the prophet, they made a lot

of sacrifices

in terms of their

families, in terms of their money, and so

on and so forth.

They traveled long distances. Some of them traveled

1,000 of miles,

and they did everything they could to deliver

the message to us and they say few

way that it was revealed to the prophet,

sallallahu alaihi

wa sallam.

So in view of the

sacrifice that the Sahaba of one of my

made

throughout the life to deliver the message to

us,

when I look sometimes at some of Muslims,

I'm not saying that all of them, but

I feel ashamed that some Muslims,

they know what they should do, but they

pretend like they don't know anything.

Look, for example, in how many Muslims don't

pray don't pray on time.

And I was saying that in Edmonton, this

is one of the interesting things about Edmonton

that in 12 hours in the winter, there

are 5 salawat, 5 prayers, and in the

other 20:12

hours, there is no no prayers.

So Fashj Adhan is what? 6:30 in the

morning, Aisha Adhan is 6:30. So you have

12 hours between Aisha and Fashj,

And some people, they don't have anything to

do at that time

other than, playing cards, watching movies, and video

games, but still they don't pray Fajr on

time.

Of course, they finish,

playing or,

playing, like, 5 minutes before Fajr,

So if you look at the conditions of

the Sahaba,

and it was things were verified for for

them.

Of course, they didn't have electricity, they didn't

have the Internet. Things were very tight for

them. They were surrounded by enemies all the

time. They spent most of their time defending

the Binah and defending Islam. But if you

look at our times,

Allah, we are safe, we are secure,

you have internet,

you have air conditioning,

you have cars, you have computers, you have

everything.

But some of us are even lazy

to seek knowledge. Some of us, they still

make mistakes in mudu and salaam.

We have some encyclopedias

that you can install in your computer, you

can put in it, thousands of books.

And I'm confident

that most of the information or some of

the information that we have today was not

available to some of the Sahaba because

many of the Sahaba, they met the prophet

only one time in their lifetime.

They came, they took shahada, they learned something,

then they left probably the same day or

the next morning. So,

you know, they didn't have all the information

that we have today, but still some of

us are lazy.

The more advanced we become, it seems the

more lazy we we become.

So what we need to learn from the

stories of the Sahaba. I'm not telling you

these stories for entertainment

or for fun or to, crack jokes,

but to learn from them.

And the best way to learn from the

Sahaba is to take one of the Sahaba

as an example for you. If for example,

one of the Sahaba

used to love the province

and follow this example in every way, okay,

and take this Sahabi as an example.

If one of the Sahaba was generous, okay,

I take off Mani Mahfana, the love of

Anhu, as an example for generosity, and I

follow his example. Some of the Sahabi were

just, so I follow their example in justice.

So

for with regard to the first one, loving

the prophet

and following his example in every way, one

of the Sahaba came to the prophet

as reported in the Hadith of anti Semitic

and Bukhaya Muslim and said, O Prophet of

God, what time is the final hour? What

day will the day of judgment begin? What

time? So the prophet SAW Salam said, what

have you prepared for the day of judgment?

So the prophet, salam, responded to the question

with a question. So the man said, I

haven't prepared a lot, but the only thing

I have with me is

I do love Allah and I love the

prophet, salam.

So the prophet, SAW, said, you will be

with the ones you loved.

So Anas ibn Malik said,

well, I have never been happy with happier

with anything, the prophet, SAW, than this hadith,

than what he said to the man.

And I witnessed that I love Allah, and

I love the prophet, salaam, and I love

Abu Bakr and Umar, and I would love

to be with them

in as as reported in this authentic

So for example and this is a very

small example, and I finish inshallah with this.

Cleaning the masjid,

collecting small things in the masjid that some

people may drop by mistake. And I remember

one time one of the brothers came to

me

and and said that he came to pray

in the masjid and somebody had trimmed his,

fingernails and threw them in the masjid. They

were all over the place. So the brother

started to collect them.

So this lady, a black lady at the

time of the Quran, she used to collect

the fine particles,

items from the masjid, qimama,

like small things. From the masjid, she used

to put them outside to keep the masjid

clean.

So one day, the prophet

didn't see her in the masjid, and he

said, where is the black lady who used

to come and clean the mesh? And this

hadith is Sahid Muslim narrated by Abu Ghayim.

Then the Sahaba said, okay. She passed

a few nights ago, and we didn't want

to disturb you because it was late at

night.

And the Sahaba according to this hadith,

saw that it was not something important

that important to wake the prophet that

late at night to tell him about

disturbing. So the prophet

said, you should have told me.

These graves are filled with darkness and Allah

Subhanahu wa ta'ala puts light in them

for my prayers for these people. Then the

prophet

went to her grave that he made salah

or dua for her.
