So today, inshallah, we'll continue our discussion about
the birth of the prophet,
the pinnacle of human perfection
that this example for human beings to follow
as Allah
says in the Quran.
So today, inshallah, we're talking about some of
his noble qualities
so we can follow his example and learn
from him.
So the prophet
is the best example of perfection. He is
a role model for human beings to follow.
When we look at the Quran, we'll see
Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala is praising him.
This is in the Quran.
And you will see a lot of Muslim
Sahaba who were talking highly of the prophet
because of his noble qualities.
So, for example, some of them would say,
like,
Salman would say, I've never seen any human
being who have their own qualities
and mannerisms
better than the pro
and some of them would say,
I've never seen anyone
who is smiling
more than the prophet although the prophet
had been through through many difficulties
in life. He lost many of his children
and and all the difficulties
and hardships. But still he was
smiling and giving people hope
So much so that we know in the
hadith, the prophet
said, if the day of judgment is about
to begin,
the afterlife is about to start, and you
have a tree in your hand, just go
ahead and plant it regardless.
That is the kind of hope that we
need in our lives today.
Even non Muslims were saying good things about
the and
some of them eventually accepted Islam.
Hadid
fullah in Romayd,
he said in Saudi Mecca, this was in
the hadith.
He said, I came when the prophet
and the sahaba took over Mecca. We couldn't
resist.
The prophet
had over 10,000 soldiers. We couldn't resist him.
So I thought maybe I can go
and pretend I was Muslim and assassinate him
in Mecca by myself.
So Fudalah said, I pretended to be a
Muslim. I went to the Kaaba, and sure
enough, the prophet
was there, and he was circling the Kaaba.
And while I was circling the Kaaba and
I was thinking, when I see him coming
toward me, I'm gonna stab him in the
back or something. This is what he was
thinking.
So he said I was circling and all
of a sudden I saw the prophet
in front of me. So I was shocked.
I didn't know what to do. So the
prophet
said, what were you thinking, Ya'at Fulad? Are
you Fulad? And he said, yes. I'm Fulad.
So he said, what were you thinking about
me couple of minutes ago?
He said, nothing.
The prophet said, no. No. No. Tell me
the truth. What were you thinking about me,
you know, a little while ago? He said,
He was like he said, I was remembering
Allah in my heart.
So he said, he said, ask Allah to
forgive you because of what you were thinking.
Then he said,
So he said,
when the prophet
said this, he said, ask Allah to forgive
you because of the evil thoughts you have
about me. Then the prophet put his hand
on my chest, and he prayed for me.
Then he said he didn't lift his hand
until he became the most beloved to my
heart on the whole earth.
So this is an order of the kariq.
Eventually, he accepted Islam in.
You see someone
who was an enemy of the prophet,
who was a sworn enemy of the prophet.
They had to leave so many fights together.
Right before he took Shahad,
he said to the prophet, and this is
mentioned in the
So Abu Sufyan, right before he took Shahad
and said to the prophet,
well, Allah, you are an honorable man.
We fought against you for so many years,
and you were an honorable fighter. When we
made peace with you, you were an honorable
peacemaker? Fazhazakhullah
fight. He said, may Allah reward you because
you were an honorable man.
You look at someone like Goethe.
He is the most famous German,
poet of all time.
He said in one of his poems,
he said things, good things about Islam in
general, but in one particular poem, he said,
I looked in history
for a wrong model.
The perfection
of humans. The or the pinnacle of human
perfection,
and I found it in one man, Mohammed
Sasa. And he was not Muslim. He never
accepted Islam. He never took sha'ada.
This week,
I read an article in The Guardian from
the UK. They said that the family of
Winston Churchill was so afraid that he was
going to take shahad
that some of them had to try hard
to dissuade him from taking shahad. They found
this letter from a relative of his,
trying to convince him not to become Muslim.
So a lot of people, even if they
say good things about Islam, some of them
end up accepting Islam, some people never take
shahab because he died at this from Allah.
So why does Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
praise the pro sasa? Why do Muslims praise
the pro sasa?
Why do some
fair minded non Muslims say good things about
the pro sasa?
Even if they disagreed with him
because of his personality,
because of his character, the way he behaved
toward people,
because of his humility, because of his kindness
and good heartedness,
and this is something we need to follow
as Muslims. Last time I said, all of
us will love the prophet,
but your love for him has to be
reflected in your actions to be a good
follower of his.
We know that before the death of the
prophet
back in 632,
the prophet
was technically the ruler of all of Arabian
peninsula. We're talking about Saudi Arabia,
Yemen,
Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai. All of these areas were
under the control of the prophet
and were Muslims there, and non Muslims were
paying him jizyah, so they were technically under
his rule.
So he never changed after he became the
leader of that vast area.
Before they accepted Islam and after they accepted
Islam, he was always the same. His manners
didn't change.
So in the adi, we see some of
the great qualities of the prophet on the
personal level. So we're gonna focus on his
personal character
today.
The
prophet
never criticized
any food that was given to him as
long as it was halal. He never said,
what is this?
They throw it at you? They said, what
is this? What kind of father are you?
I hate you. You're ruining my life. The
prophet
never criticized any food that was given to
him.
If he felt like eating it, he would
eat it. If he did it like it,
he would never say anything. He will say,
well, I'm fasting today. He was so polite
when he was dealing with people regarding small
things.
They said that the prophet
never hit a woman
or a servant with his hand. He never
hit any woman or a servant.
And he said it is not honorable for
any man to hit any woman. It is
not honorable.
The prophet
was very kind to the weak. We know
from the hadith,
so she can't put her feet on his
knee and go over her camp.
And that was a kind of some kind
of, you know, humility with his wife.
They say in the hook by authentic hadith
to row Hasid al Muskevia Humba by myself,
and he saw an Asad al Hussein. They
were coming from the back. They had no
dresses. They were young. And they started to
stumble, alayhim al salaam.
So he stopped the footba. He went all
the way to the back. He carried them.
He brought them and put them in the
front,
In the middle of the Khutbah, to show
kindness to them.
He said in the Uthif al Hadid in
Sahar,
he was going to lead Salah and he
was going to make it a little bit
longer. He heard some kids,
children,
cry in the back. He said I made
it short so their mothers would wouldn't feel
sorry for them because they would be thinking
about their kids and, you know, in in
the salah. So I cut it short just
to make them not as comfortable.
So these were some of the qualities of
the bronze
If someone came to the prophet to ask
for something, then the prophet could afford, he
never said no.
We know the hadith in both their books.
This is one of my favorite hadith. You
must have heard this from me before.
The prophet didn't have a quote,
something presentable to receive delegations in or for
a for 2 months. So a woman,
she read something for the but
she gave it to him as a gift.
It looked very nice.
Alwin Lipsen. So the prophet put it on
the first time. He gave to the masjid
for Jumah or something. The Sahaba saw it.
It was very nice on him. So after
the salah, one of the Sahaba said it
came and said, yeah, Rasulullah, I like this
dress of yours, this coat. Maja'alat, looks very
fantastic.
I know this is your first date but,
can I have it? I like it give
it to me. So the prophet said, okay.
He took it off and he gave it
to him. This is in Bukhay. So after
the prophet
left, kodwas Khalas.
No more.
So the Sahaba came to the Sahabi, and
they gave him the look and said they
said, well, show him with you.
Prophet
eventually, you know, Allah gave him a code,
and this is the only one he had,
something presentable
to receive delegations for aid and something. Now
you take it from him, you know, he
this is the first time he puts puts
it on. What is this? So he said,
well, Allah, I didn't want it for myself.
I just wanted it to become my kefir,
like, shroud. When I die, people will shroud
me in it. So inshallah, I'm going to
go to Jannah because of the Shafa'a of
the bronze saza, misko, because it touched his
body.
And this is an authentic hadith. So the
bronze saza then never said no. If you
are able to help someone with your money,
with your strength, physical strength, financial strength, with
your time, never say no. Just like the
prophet.
Lot of the good qualities of the prophet
and this is something you need to learn
from.
So many people feel good about themselves.
Right?
We know from the authentic Hadid and Bukhari
and Muslim, the prophet made people always feel
good about themselves. In the hadith,
So he said, tomorrow I'm going to give
this banner to a man who loves Allah
and his prophet, and Allah and his prophet
love him, and he gave it to Ali
alAllahu.
He gave it to Ali al Mutali alAllahu.
Don't forget to make dua for me.
So Omar al Adar says, well, lie.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever
heard from Rasulullah in my love. He's asking
me, who am I to make dua for
him? But he made me good feel good
about myself.
One time in Kefar, in other books of
Khabid, the pro il Sasa and passed by
the masjid and he saw Salim Abu Ghodeva.
Salim was a youth like the brothers were
doing the sleepover. He was about your age.
I'll always remember these stories, and I remember
them when I was watching.
It's gonna talk to the youth now.
The first time I saw Despicable Me 1,
you know, in the middle of the movie
when
Gru was doing the the the drawing of
the rocket then he made the prototype of
the rocket and every time he gave something
impressive to his mom she was like,
what is this? This is nothing man. She
made me feel terrible about himself. Right? So,
this is something we need to learn from
when we deal with our children
and our families. Every time they do something
good made me feel so Masha'Allah this is
good I'm gonna give you a prize I'm
gonna give you that this will improve and
encourage them to do better next time. Right?
But criticizing people and putting them down is
no good. This is something the prophet
never did.
Also, one of the things we can learn
from the
prophet is he cared about Muslims,
all Muslims.
Like, when the prophet was in Medina, some
Muslims were still persecuted in Mecca. He was
making gua for them in salah.
He would make and remember and mission their
names in the salah. Oh, Allah.
Protect this person, and he would mission
and this, and he would mission their names
by name in the salah.
The people came to him from one of
the tribes
to from Muhab. They came to the prophet
and Khadif with the sign of
the. So
the that received the people of Mullah, they
became Muslim, and they were in a very
bad shape. They didn't have anything to eat.
They didn't have clothes. They didn't have shoes.
They came barefoot, and they were scared. They
came barefoot, and they were
scared.
They came barefooting,
and they were sadly dressed. They didn't have
anything to cover their themselves.
But that was a signal for people to
come to the masjid. It was not time
for salah. So they came and then prophet
said look at your brothers and sisters.
You look at the miserable situation they are
in. Help them.
So they said that the people brought a
a great or abundant amount of food and
clothes for men because he felt
like they were his brothers and sisters.
Couple of days ago,
once
again, a Muslim country, just one of them,
there are so many of them, they tried
to break the record of the largest fireworks
in human history.
$500,000,000
went off in the air. Half a $1,000,000,000
in, what, in, like, an hour or 2?
Half a $1,000,000,000
went up in there. And, this is one
city in the Muslim world.
Just think about all the brothers and sisters
in Palestine, in Syria, in Iraq, in Pakistan
who are homeless and and they are living
in these miserable conditions in the winter time.
No. This is not what I this is
not the way the prophet salons have been
dealt with the Muslims and the people, you
know, from different backgrounds.
If something bad happens to Palestinians, I'm a
Palestinian.
If children are killed in Pakistan, I'm Pakistani.
If the brothers and sisters, innocent people are
killed in Iraq, I feel sorry for the
Kurdistan. All these places in the Muslim world,
I'm one of them. Because the prophet says
Muslims are 1 like 1 body.
If you have pain in your body,
then the rest of your body feels sorry
and is restless because of your eye. Your
arm, your heart, your kidney. You have a
kidney stone. Your whole body doesn't feel
rest because of this. This is how we
should feel about one another. Just forget about
the ethnic backgrounds. Just forget about the nationality.
In Islam, Islam is called is called blind
through nationalities and colors and all these different
backgrounds. We are Muslims. That's the most kind
of Allah that gives us the best in
this life and the best of who has
to cover. That's the most kind of Allah's
business.
So the are the men say, when you
look at the Quran, there's something interesting about
the Quran.
You have to look closely to find it.
You will see a lot of prophets making
dua in the Quran,
and you will see Allah
giving the prophet
something similar without even asking for it.
He didn't even pray for that dua that
it was granted to him anyway.
You will see in Mohim alaihi salaam also,
Maja'ali
alaihi salaam,
put my other omenation among the people. I
mean, make them say good things about me
until the day of judgment.
Then Allah subhanahu
wa'ala the prophet never made this du'aazhu wa'ala,
but still Allah will say,
Then Allah will tell the prophet
have we not man
they say, Hashem
You'll see Musa Alaihi Salam,
oh,
Allah, open my heart and make my task
easy for me. Then the most kind of
a will tell the prophet in the crowd,
have we not opened your heart and made
your burden light for you?
It's just the same dua that Musa alaihi
wa sallam made, but the prophet was giving
the answer even without asking for it.
Another way of honoring the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam giving him aqam shatha.
And they say the prophet would have this
this privilege of intercision
on the day of judgment on different occasions.
While the Mishatha Al UHman, the people will
be standing for,
50,000
years
during the day of Al Qiyyah, then the
prophet says that,
we know the Hadid and will find another
books that people would be going to different
prophets, and every month it will shrink from
this responsibility. And he will say, go to
this prophet. The next prophet will say go
to the next one. Eventually, they will go
to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam and
will make dua and shafaa will be granted
to him.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam will make
another shafaa so Muslims
will go to Jannah.
Insight Muslim, the prophet will go and walk
at the door of Jannah. So the
the keeper of the gates would say, who
are you? He said, I'm Mohammed.
So he will say,
He said, I've been commanded not to open
the gates of Jannah for anyone before you.
Then the prophet will make shaka'ah for some
Muslims who deserve to go to Jahannam so
they don't go. And this is a Bukhaliya
Muslim. And this is one way of honoring
the prophet Sallal.
Then the prophet Sallal will make another Shafa'at
just like in Pufayi and Muslim for some
Muslims who are in Jahannam so they will
come out. All these different occasions for Shafa'at.
Also, the last way
for today, for honoring the prophet
is
a hadith in Bukhary a Muslim. The prophet
says, I will have the largest
following on the day of judgement.
He
said,
So in this
the
prophet Mohammed said, Jannah was presented to me.
Paradise was presented to me. Then I saw
a prophet coming with a few people with
him.
I saw a prophet with 2 people with
him. Only 2 people followed that prophet. And
I saw a prophet with 1 person with
him.
And I saw some prophets coming with no
one but them. They're coming by themselves. Nobody
basically
accepted them or believed in them. Then, at
the end of the having, he said, I
saw
a huge number of people that are like
in the billions. They are blocking the horizon.
You can't see because they're blocking the horizon.
I said, oh, Shabir, who are these people?
Who is this Umma? So if I put
Shabir, I could realize that this is your
Umma.
We ask Allah
to make us a money on the day
of judgement. But that's Allah
