We'll continue this, discussion
for about 15, 20 minutes, insha'Allah. I'm gonna
keep it short.
And, in November, insha'Allah, with the time change,
the the great halakha will begin at 8,
the will be at 7.
And, so we'll, we'll do the halakha only
in English.
The reason why we do it in Arabic
and English is because some in the audience,
they don't
So there are some areas where
it is very clear that the Quran,
touches on some scientific things and proves to
prove that the Quran is actually from Allah
And you will not come to these
conclusions without really reading and reflecting and understanding
the Quran.
So if you just flip the Quran just
like you flip a newspaper,
you will not come to,
these conclusions. So you have to read and
think
and study different things. Study history, study geography,
and science,
and and so on and so forth, and
mathematics. You'll be able to come to these
conclusions.
So Allah
says in the Quran, salwarihim ayaatinafil
aafafiwafimfussim
hatrayadabeinalalahuunnaawalhaqq.
We will show them our signs,
in the universe. Fil afaqwafi'amfussim
and within themselves
until
it it becomes clear to them that this
Quran is the truth and it is from
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So I'm gonna show
you a few slides to give you some
examples
that reflect
the miraculous nature of the Quran.
So
the first one,
Tawah in,
in the tafsir of of these ayats,
the traditional tafsir like Ibn Kathir or Kortubi
and Tabari.
They say, huli ba turrumu
fi Adin al art. Surah 30 of the
Quran, Surah Rum.
They say, Adin al Art
il l Adna
ilruh al Akram hada ahadimaan.
They say that the Romans were defeated
in the closest land, The Al Hasham,
the southern area of Jordan, Palestine, is very
close to Al Gazir al Arabiya,
Arabia, so they say in the closest land.
And this is the popular meaning according to,
tradition of the Hasid.
But we know everyone here who speaks Arabic
how many of you speak Arabic? Come on,
I'll be up for Arabic.
Almost. 80%.
So the word Adna in the Arbi language
means the lowest,
very deep, the depth, or the lowest part
of something. This is also another meaning.
And as I mentioned in one of the,
talks, because,
the Ulema of Tafsir at the time,
even though the word
Adna could mean the lowest
of something,
you know, it was not very clear to
them because,
you know, based on
the scientific information that was available
1500 years ago, you cannot come to this
conclusion.
So
I was
visiting the NASA website. I was googling
the Dead Sea area. So they have many
articles on the Dead Sea, Bahr al Mayyid.
While the
Dead Sea
is the lowest
point on Earth at 418
meters below sea level.
So they say on this website that the
Dead Sea area where this battle took place
between the Romans and the Persians,
this is the lowest point on Earth.
And based on the Arabi, the wording of
the Arabi, it means also the lowest point
on earth. But as I said, this meaning
was not very clear to the Alama'a like
Iftikatir and Kotub I Tawari because they didn't
have this understanding
of the meaning of the word. Yes,
the the the word means the lowest part
of something,
but it was not clear to them. So
they took the other meaning, which means the
closest to Arabia.
Right? But now we know based on scientific
findings
and satellites and so on and so forth
that this area,
Bahr al Mayid, is the lowest area on
earth.
Another example,
and we mentioned this one before in Surah
Anam,
Surah 27, Ayah 88.
In the traditional tafasir, and also in, in
the different translations of the Quran,
Right? So they say when you look at
the mountains,
you see the mountains
flying away
like clouds.
This is the creation of Allah or the
design of Allah.
And as I mentioned before this understanding, this
Tafsir does not make any sense. You have
to read the Ayat in context
and you have to see the wording of
the Ayat in Haram.
So in the Surah, in context, the last
page of Surah Naml Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
talks about his ability to bring the dead
back to life.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala every single time
that He talks about His ability to bring
the dead back to life, He gives some
examples of His power.
It could be bringing plants from the earth,
it could be sending rain down, it could
be talking about the creation of the heavens
and the earth. So now at the end
of Surah, naml,
in 2 ayat, he talks about what will
happen on the Day of Judgment, his ability
to bring the dead back to life. And
Allah Subhanahu wa'anat will give one Ayat that
talks about Yawmul Qiyamah, then he will give
an example of his power.
Another example of Yawmul Qiyamah, then he will
give another example of his power. So he
talks about Yawmul Qiyamah and bringing the dead
back to life, and he talks about Al
Layloh and Naha, his ability to bring about
day and night.
Then he talks about Yawmul Qiyamah, then he
talks about the rotation of the Earth,
which actually causes the day and night.
So he says, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
jibalatah sabuhajamidatanwaniatamurumarasahab.
You look at the mountains,
and you think they are firmly fixed,
but they float, they fly just like clouds.
Then he says Suna Allah. This is the
marvelous design of Allah. If this Ayah was
talking about Yawmul Qiyamah, he would not talk
about his the marvel of his creation.
Because the understanding of Salom wa Abdul Mufasiloon
that the earth would be like dust.
It
talks about the earth, actually the mountains
being blown away and becoming dust, and become
like birraj.
And if the earth becomes like powder
or sand or dust,
this is not a proof of Allah
ability to create and the marvels of his
creation. This is the total opposite.
This is all the proof of his ability
to destroy,
before the day of judgment. So the aya
is used as a sign of Allah
ability to create.
So, he says that the mountains are floating,
they're traveling just like cloud, and it is
very clear that it talks about the Earth's,
rotation,
which is a proof
of the alternation of the day and night,
which is me, is mentioned 1 ayah before.
So now it becomes clear that Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala is talking about the rotation of
the earth.
Another example
Let's go back.
Okay.
Now there are some
mathematical,
miracles in the Quran. Some are very clear
like this one,
and some you need to think really deeply
about the Ayat.
Like for example,
Le Me'kuru which Layla is Layla Tukar. They
say, okay. This is what some of them
say. Yeah. It's not very clear, but they
find a way to prove that Layla Tukar
is the 9 of 27.
They say Surah Al Qadr in the Quran
has 30 words.
30 words. And they stand for the 30
days of the month. This is what some
of them said. I mean, this is not
very clear that this is a proof that
Laylatul Qadr is the 27th.
They say Leilatul Qadr,
Surah Al Qadr has 30 words and they
stand for the 30 days of the month
of Ramadan.
Salamun Hiyya,
it is,
which is mentioned in the Surah, is number
27.
They say, you see, look,
badallahu a'lam if this is correct, the correct
understanding or
not. In Surah Al Tasus, for example,
when Musa alaihis salam made an agreement with
Shoaib, not Shoaib the Prophet because as we
mentioned before, Shu'ayb alaihis
salam passed away centuries before Musa alaihis salam.
So it was a different shayb.
So they made an agreement that Musa alaihis
salam will serve the man 8 or 10
years,
and Musa alaihi salam will marry his daughter.
So they say, okay. Did he stay for
8 years or 10 years? Allahu 'am.
But some of them some of the rama
say, just count count the words.
Qala
10 words, 10 years.
But this is not very clear. This is
not very obvious. You have to think deeply
to find it, and Allah
if this is the right understanding or not.
We don't know.
But now if you look at this one,
this is a very good proof
that the Quran is from Allah
and every word is put in its right
place.
It is not like arranged haphazardly.
There are so many proofs for this.
One that I didn't list here is, we
know that most Surahs of the Quran did
not come together at the same time. So
a few Ayat would be revealed, and after
2 3 years a few more Ayat from
the Surah will be revealed and so on
and so forth.
And if Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says in
the Ayat
that were revealed 2 3 years ago,
Wallahu Wa'alimun Hakim
The few ayahs that come after 2, 3
years will have the same thing, Wallahu Alimun
Hakim.
And if the ayah say, Inn Allahu Akal
Alim Al Hakimah, wakaal Allahu Hakim Alim, it
will say the exact same things after many
years because we know that the Surah did
not come together in 1 piece, it came
in different ayat.
But you need to read more and reflect
to come to this conclusion.
Anyway, Surah
Nuh is the only Surah in the Quran
that talks about this, Nuh alaihis salam's style
in Dua. How he made Dua to his
people.
I know some other Surahs, like Surah Hud,
and some other Surahs, they talk about, you
know, what happened to his son and how
his people drowned and they, you know, they
get into the details.
This is the only Surah that was dedicated
to his techniques of Dawah to his people.
We know that Nuh alaihis salam spent 950
years in Dawah.
He lived some of the Alamads say he
lived
1215, some say he left 1500
years.
This is the time he dedicated to Daw,
but this is not how long he lived.
Right?
Average, they say about 1500 years.
So anyway,
they say if you count the words of
Surah Al the only Surah that was dedicated
to his Dua techniques, how he made Dawah
in secret, he made Dawah in public, he
spoke about the power of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala, he used logical arguments, and so on
and so forth. All his Dawah techniques,
if you count the words
123 till the end,
950
words in Arabic.
Who can do something like this? Right? It's
only Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Another quick example.
Now, if you look at Surakaf,
we read the Surah of Yom Al Jumaa
and
I read the, Saludis Ayat in the 1st
and second raka'ah in Salatul Gishah.
The passage that talks about the people of
the Kaf, the people in the cave.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, only Allah knows
how long they stayed in the cave, and
they stayed for 309
years. At Tabar Al Ayat, they say, walabbi
fu fee kafim falaadami attinsinina wazdadutisa.
They stayed 300 years in the cave,
and 9 years were increased. So and increased
9 years, which means the total is 309.
Why 9 years extra? The Alamo have different
ways of tafsir. If you read in the
Kathir of Fortubi, they say that they say
for 300
Gregorian,
below 2017,
2016, 15,
but if you count count in the Hijri
calendar, it will be 309.
Why? Because every 33 year, Hijri will give
an extra year.
Actually, the opposite. If you count Gregorian,
when I was 33 years old, Gregorian,
by 20 17, 16,
and Hijri, I was 34.
So every 33 years, Hijri will give you
an extra, sorry. The opposite will give you
a Hijri year extra.
So 33 and plus give you 1. So
that's every 100 years will give you 3
years.
33
in 100 years.
So that's 3 of them. So that's 3
years.
In 300 years, that's 9 years extra. And
this is what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says
they stayed for 300
and they increased 9.
Now the point when Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
is asking the question how long they stayed?
So the word Labithu here.
Labifu,
how long they stayed.
And the last word in the story,
how long they stayed. Labifu.
And between the word Labifu stayed in the
cave and Labifu stayed in the cave at
the end of the Surah, if you count
the words from here till the end of
the Surah story,
309 words.
Isn't that something?
That you have to read and reflect to
come to this conclusion. Now, the last thing
I want to say inshallah before I let
you go.
Allah.
Kathirminil
Asma'il mooroodafilul
Quran.
Lays at Asma'an Abi.
So most of the names in the Quran,
especially the stories, like in the stories of
the Prophets, like Eschat
and Yaqub and so on and so forth,
these are not Arabic names.
They come maybe from Hebrew, from
Sirianic, from other languages.
And it's very interesting, I was watching
a brother who studied the Hebrew language,
and he says it's very clear in the
Quran that this Quran is not from Muhammad
because he didn't speak Hebrew.
Why? He said because when Allah
mentions the name of a Prophet and his
name comes from Hebrew,
in the same way Allah
will give you the meaning of the name
and Aladdin.
An example to make it easy for you.
We always read this ayah in Surah Hud,
ayah 71.
I mean, what what is the point? His
wife is standing there
smiling, the wife of Ibrahim alaihis salam Saha,
she is standing there smiling.
So we gave her the good news of
the birth of Ishaq.
What does haq smiling to do with Ishaq?
So his hap in Hebrew means
the smiling one.
Yat Haq. It's haq.
Yat Haq. Right?
So this is just like saying an Arabic.
Wamra'atooqa
imatun.
Muqtas imatun favasharnaha
bibasin.
Same thing.
So the meaning of the word is haq
in the Hebrew language, it means the one
who smiles.
So just because his wife was smiling, Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will give gave her,
the news of the birth of a child,
and whose name would be the smiling one?
It's Haqq.
Like Ilhaq in Arabi, it means smiling.
Waminuarari
ishaata
Yaqoob.
So both the meaning of ishaq and Yaqoob
are mentioned in this ayat.
The word Yaqoob in Hebrew means the one
who comes after.
Minuwarari.
After someone.
Like Aqib in the Arabic language because Hebrew
and Arabic they are called Semitic language languages.
They
share so many things.
So Minuwarar
means fiyaqib
Ya'qub.
It means the one who comes after. So
it says, she was smiling, we gave her
the news of the birth of Ishaq, the
smiling one, and after Ishaq he will be
followed
by Ya'qub and the word Yaqub means the
one who follows, the one who comes after.
Isn't that something?
More examples.
The meaning of the word Ismail
is the one
the one who hears.
Ismael.
Ismael.
And this is not the only time that
the word Ismael comes with the
word
Same thing.
Ishmael is the one who listens,
the one who hears.
One last example.
The word Zakaria
in the Hebrew language,
wufil Quran wahuqayimu
yusaliifil Meharabi. He's always praying in the sanctuary.
So the word zakariya in Hebrew means the
one who remembers Allah a lot. And this
is why the ayah says, zikurrahmati
albikah. You could have you could have said
hadithu Rahmati al Bikr, which is very common
in the Quran. The Quran uses the word
hadith and so many other things.
Why did it use the word Dhikr?
Because it's talking about zakariyyah.
Wallahu
a. So inshallah, we'll continue next week. We
ask Allah
to give us the best in this life
and the best in the life to come,
and to give us tadpuh and understanding of
the Quran, and to give us the reward
for reading this book. Ameen, Ameen, wassalli lahu
ma'aseyid, wazatul Majeemaeen,
wajakatul
