on his way, and he accepted Islam a
few days ago.

So Salman al Farsi radhiallahu anhu was a
fire worshipper,

a fire worshiper from Persia, and his father

to fire worship
until he became the servant of the fire.
He used to feed the fire every day,
put firewood for the fire, and this is
a very prestigious

So one day, his father told him to
go to the farm and take care of
something, so only way he heard
the singing in the church. People were having
a service. Maybe it was a Sunday or
something. So he heard the singing
or the hymns in the church. So he
entered. He saw things. So he liked what
he saw. So he sat there till till
the end of the day.
When he came back to his father, he
told him, look father, I saw this today
and everything, and he forgot completely about the
farm. He didn't even go.
When he told his father about what happened,
his father got so mad and he chained
him. He tell he told him he will
stay here and die here in this house,
you will never go out.
So Salman radiAllahu alhambu sent to his the
people in the church and told him, if
you know that someone is traveling to Syria,
Damascus, tell me because I want to go
with them. So they told him that, a
caravan, some, business people are traveling to Syria,
so he broke his chains and he joined
them. When he went there,
he asked about the most knowledgeable person about
Christianity in the masses, so they told him
this bishop in the church is the most
knowledgeable person. So he said, I stayed in
his service for so many years trying to
learn Christianity from him, dude. Okay? He used
to take the charity from the people, the
taxes, the money from them, and he told
the people I'm gonna give it to the
poor and the needy and,
you know, what have you, then he kept
all the gold and all the money for
himself.
So when this bishop died,
Salman
told them that this man was a thief,
a crooked man. So they crucified him and
they, you know, they stoned him after his
death, this
bishop. When another man came in in his
place, he was a righteous person.
When he was about to die, he told
Salamatullah Abu Anhu that go to Iraq, there
is a bishop there, you will learn more
from him after my death.
Then after the death of that person, he
went to another bishop in another place.
Then after the bishop, he went to another
place.
At the death of the last bishop that
he was in his,
service, he he told him, after your death,
whom shall I go to?
So they told him, there's a great man,
the last prophet of our time will be
sent in Arabia,
and and his name will be Mohammed so
look for look for him. He will migrate
to a place that has a lot of
palm trees
and I will give you three signs of
this person. Number 1, he doesn't eat from
charity.
Number 2, he eats only from gifts. If
you give him a charity, he doesn't eat
it. If you give him a gift, he
will eat it. Number 3, there is the
seal of prophethood
on the back of his neck,
so look for him.
So Salman al Farisi radiAllahu Anhu had several
cows and goats and sheep, so, he made
a caravan that was heading to Arabia. He
told them, okay, take my cows and and
and goats,
and take me with you to Arabia. Of
course, they said, you are welcome, masha Allah,
come along, everything.
Then
they took all his cows and goats, and
they sold him as a slave.
So when Salman
was sold as a slave, and I said
that this reminds me of the story of
Yusuf Alaihi Salam, Joseph, in the Quran. He
was also sold as a slave.
And maybe because of that evil that happened
to him, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala changed his
whole life to the devil.
He became
one of the richest and one of the
most noble people in Egypt because of this.
And the same is also true for some
man. Maybe if they didn't sell him as
a slave, maybe he wouldn't have made it
to Madinah, and he wouldn't have accepted Islam.
Maybe he would have gone to another place.
Okay?
So Salman was sold to a Jew as
a slave
then that Jew sold him to his cousin
and that cousin
moved with Salman to Madinah
and Salman was taking care of the palm
trees,
okay, in his,
master's
garden.
So one day, Salman said, I was on
top of the palm tree, taking care of
it, fixing it, or collecting dates.
Then a relative of that Jew, my slave
master, came to him and he was he
was not happy. He was saying these people
are talking about this man who came from
Makkah,
and he's claiming to be a prophet and
he is teaching this and this and this.
So Salman, he said, when I was on
the top of the palm tree,
when I heard what this man said about
the prophet,
he said, I I was
shaking because of happiness, because I couldn't believe
my my my ears, and I was about
to fall
on my master and kill him because of
happiness.
Okay? So he jumped down, and he came
to the man, and he said, would you
please repeat to me what you just said?
So his master punched him in the face,
and he started to curse at him. It's
none of your business. Go back to work.
Why why are you talking about this? So
he said, the same day, I went to
the prophet, salaam alayhi, salaam, and I gave
him some,
some,
food.
The last bishop that he spoke to before
he left
told him that the three signs for the
prophet, salaam alayhi wa sallam, the first one
of them, he doesn't eat from the charity,
number 2, he eats from gifts,
and number 3, the seal of of prophethood
is to the back of his neck.
A few hours later, he brought back some
food to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
and said, I saw that you didn't eat
from the charity, and this is a this
is a gift for you, to honor you
and your Sahaba. So the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam ate from it,
and he told the Sahaba to eat, so
he said this is number 2.
The same day, there was a Janazah at
Al Baqiyyah,
so the prophet, salaam, went to the funeral,
and he was walking with the funeral,
so some man started to look at the
back of the Prophet,
to see the seal of prophethood. It was
a piece of flesh to the back of
the Prophet,
So he started moving from one side to
the other,
moving around the prophet, salaam,
to look for that seal. So the prophet,
salaam, told him, come, come, I will show
you to you. I know what you are
looking for. So the prophet, salaam, removed his
clothes and he showed the seal to Salman
radiAllahu.
When Salman saw it, he started to cry
and to kiss the hands and the feet
of the prophet, salam, he couldn't believe himself.
This is what I've been looking for for
years.
This is what led me
to travel from my country to many other
places,
from freedom to slavery,
from Damascus to Persia to Arabia, looking for
the prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, and here
he is. And he accepted Islam innocently.
