Mustafa Khattab – Sahaba Humility

So when you are humble,

you humble yourself to people, you respect them,

you treat them in a nice way, and

you don't look down upon them. K? This

is the simple definition

of the thought.

So if you would like to be arrogant

with faith and to look down upon them,

look down upon them because something that you

created for yourself, not because something Allah gave

you.

So for example, if you would like to

be

arrogant with people because of your health, this

is something that Allah gave you. It is

not because of you.

If you want to be arrogant with people

because of,

because you're handsome,

you have nothing to do with this. It's

Allah who gave it to you. He can

make you ugly and he can turn you

into a monkey in a second. Okay?

And if you wanna be arrogant with people

because of your knowledge, this is something that

Allah gave you. Allah says it in the

Quran that you came out of the wounds

of your mother knowing nothing.

Then he gave you hearing and sight and

gave you brains to think with and he

bestowed knowledge upon you.

Little do you think.

So this is what you do.

One day, the prophet went to the market

to buy food and Abu Bakr the lamb

was with him. So the the prophet

told the man as he was weighing the

food, they used to put food on one

scale and a piece of iron and another

like a scale on the other. So the

prophet told

the man,

wait and be just.

Be fair when you wait.

So Shoaib Alaihi Salam, the prophet came to

the people to warn them against

Yahi,

cheating people when they wait. You read this

in in many places in the Quran, and

there's surah al Mustafafim that talks about this.

When you wait

to someone,

you have to be fair with them. And

I've seen this a lot in in some

places when they weigh, they put a piece

of iron on the other side.

So it is not one kalo, it's 700

grams. If you take it and weigh it

home, it's 700 grams. Alert and they know

this, okay, they give you one cable, but

the quality is not good. The apples on

the top are very nice, and the apples

at the bottom, they have worms running through

them. This is what they do,

bad quality.

So when the prophet

told the man, wait and be just and

fair,

the man was, kind of offended.

Like, he felt like the prophet was

scratching his dignity because he told him to

be fair. He said, no one ever told

me to be fair before, and he didn't

know the prophet.

So Abu Bakr said,

you know, don't you know the prophet So

the man, you know, was surprised because he

didn't see the prophet

before.

So he wanted to kiss the hands of

the prophet

so the prophet

that filled out because of the the wind.

So they collected some dates in their clothes.

So when Muhammad Sattal Radu Ghanu came out

with his staff or his cane and he

was very charismatic

and honorable, so when they saw him they

they flew away and they threw all the

dates on the ground.

What if they stood up? So Omar Khattab

Radha Manu came to him and said, what

is this? He said, I found it in

the road because of the wind. Okay?

I'm not a thief. I'm not a toob.

Okay? So

So Umar Khattar said, okay. Go home. No

problem. So he said, the kids threw away

all the dates when they saw it. So

if I wanna go home,

they will stop me on the way and

take all the dates from me.

So Umar Khattab

said, don't worry. He was a Khalif, and

he walked him all the way to his

house, to his family.
