Mustafa Khattab – Ramadan Special Quran Gems 2

There is this authentic hadith where the prophet

says,

idakaalahuwaryawminfi

Ramadan,

nada Allahu ilahaqihi

waman nada Allahu laiifada yuwadeepu abadhan.

So in this authentic hadith, the prophet

says,

my ummah has been given 5 qualities in

the month of Ramadan.

Salaam Alaikum. The brother's in the back. Salaam

Alaikum.

Salaam Alaikum.

InshaAllah, the reminder is only 3 minutes. InshaAllah.

inshaAllah. So the Prophet says,

when it when it is the 1st day

of Ramadan, on the 1st day of Ramadan,

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will look at His

servants, and whoever Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala looks

at, He will never punish at all.

We ask Allah to

make us among those that Allah

will look at. Ameel, Ameel.

So last night,

I recited this ayat from Surah Baqarah, ayah

number 30, where Allah subhanahu wa'ala says,

So Allah number 30, surah number 2.

Allah says,

remember when Allah

says,

I'm going to place a a human authority,

a successive human authority on earth.

So the Malayika said, you Allah, how can

you put someone there who is going to

spread corruption

and who go is going to spread to,

to shed blood in it while we glorify

your praises and proclaim your holiness?

Allah

said, I know what you don't know.

So a lot of people always think about

this ayah. What does that mean? I

don't know what what you I know what

you don't know. What does that mean?

So, of course, the Malayika knew about what

is going to happen,

not because they know they're unseen, but because

they've looked at the love and Mahfuz, the

preserved tablet where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has

written that everything that was and everything that

it that is and everything that will be.

So their question is not they're not protesting.

They're asking so they can know, the hikmah,

the wisdom. So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told

them, I know what you don't know. So

the malaika,

when they looked at the law and mahuz,

they looked miserable and horrible personalities

like Hitler.

They saw people like Stalin,

they saw people like Karl Marx,

they saw people like George Bush,

they saw people like Tony Blair,

They saw things like World War 1, World

War 2, a 100 a 1000000 people dead.

They saw Hiroshima, Nagasaki,

250,000

people dead in one second.

So they saw all these people. But Allah

subhanahu wa ta'ala told them you don't see

the whole picture.

Yes. You saw Hitler,

you saw Stalin, you showed Tony Blair,

and George Bush, but didn't you see Muhammad

sallallahu alaihi wasallam, the greatest human being?

Didn't you see Abu Bakr and Omar and

Uffman and Ali? Didn't you see Abdulai Ni

Ghazroud, Khadija, Fatima al Zaynah?

Didn't you see the great prophets, Ibrahim,

Nuh, Musa, Aesa, all these great personalities?

Didn't

you see Imam al Zaman, Imam Abu Hanifa?

Didn't you see al Shafi'i,

Ahmad, al Malik, Bukhari, Muslim, termibi, nazai, all

these great personalities?

Didn't you see Muhammad al Fatih? Omar al

Muhtar,

Alarm al Iqbal,

Muhammad Ali? Didn't you see all these great

personalities?

Don't you see Muslims who fast 17 hours

during the day and they stand at night

in salah 11 or 12 or 20 rakah?

Don't you see Muslims who give salakah all

the time? Don't you see the people who

give food to the homeless and the needy?

Don't you see the people who stand up

for justice?

The people who stand up for the rights

of the Palestinians?

The people who support the Syrians and the

Iraqis, the Pakistanis,

the people of Kashmir,

the people of Yemen, the people of Egypt,

and the people of Libya, the people who

receive refugees,

the people who shelter them, the people who

meet them at at the airport.

You see Turkey. You see Lebanon.

You see Canada.

All these good people. Yes. You looked at

the,

empty half of the cup, but look at

the full half of the cup.

Look at the people who started to be

doctors and engineers,

the people who work as cab drivers, police

officers to serve humanity, and make people's lives

easy.

Look at the people who stand in salah

for Allah Subhanahu Wa'ala. The people who are

sitting now for dhik.

There are 1,000 out there who don't offer

salah to taraweeh.

There are 1,000,000

out there who don't fast in the month

of Ramadan, either because they're not Muslim,

or because they are sick, or they have

some issues, they can't fast. But look at

the people who dedicate their life to Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. The people who listen to

think, and the people who stand in salah

in the middle of the night while everyone

else is asleep at this time.

People are asleep, and you chose to come

here and stand in salah before Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala. And in the hadith, Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala will look at us, and the

malaika will be around us, and Allah subhanahu

wa ta'ala will ask, what do they want

from me? The people whose student are wih,

the people who are listening to the heartah,

the people who remember Allah, what do they

want? The malaika will say, You Allah, they

want your forgiveness, and they want Jannah. Then

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will say,

give them this bishara, this good news that

I've given them Jannah, and I have forgiven

all of them. Then the Malayika will say,

The Hadith is inside Muslim. The Malayika will

say, But You Allah, there's someone who's sitting

in the back there. He didn't come for

Taraweeh. He didn't come for Salah. He came

just to borrow someone's car, or he just

came for Iftar. He's not here for Salah.

Faqur Allahu Ta'ala, Ushiduqum Anikadrafartullaham

Jamia. They are witness that I have forgiven

all of them. If he is with them,

then he then he is one of them.

Just like when the police goes to someone's

house,

so there's a bunch of guys, and they're

doing drugs like cocaine or something, and there

is a guy who is sitting with them.

He's not doing drugs.

He's just mopping the floor.

He's making Shai or Biryani something. He's doing

something for them, but he's not doing drugs

for them. When the police comes in, what

does the police do?

Do they leave the guy who's mopping the

floor and making shay, or to take him

along?

Because he's sitting with them. He has to

be one of them. So Allah subhanahu wa

ta'ala will look at our gathering, and He

will forgive us regardless of what our intentions

are. We ask Allah

to make us among those who will be

forgiven, and we ask Allah

to make us among those who will, go

to Jannah and Firdaus e Alaa, and we

ask Allah

to forgive all Muslims.

The question for last night was, difficult one.

Who is the only human being mentioned by

name in the Quran?

But he is not from the children of

Adam, and, of course, those who went to

Google, Google was taking them to places, and

Google was going crazy. So Google told them,

Isa alaihis salaam.

So Isa alaihis salaam is a descendant of

Adam through his mother, Maryam alaihis salaam. Those

who said, You goog and Maggug, they are

from the descendants of Adam. Those who said,

Al Khidr, this is not the right answer.

The right answer is

who? Adam.

Adam alaihis salaam himself.

He's the only human being mentioned by name,

but he's not from the children of Adam.

And the winner is Jihad Hamid.

So the question for tonight, there are so

many Sira Suras in the Quran that are

named after Prophets.

Yusuf alaihi salam, Surah Yusuf, Surah Ibrahim, Surah

Yoon Surahud.

There's only one Surah in the Quran which

is named after a person, but he is

not a prophet.

He. I'm saying he, not she. This person,

this man is not a prophet. So if
