Mustafa Khattab – Put Your Trust in Allah TAWAKKUL 2 2

Messenger to all humanity.

So today, inshallah, we'll continue talking about

the subject of

putting your trust in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

And we said that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

is the creator.

He is the provider.

He is the one that takes care of

us in this life.

He told him, if you want

assistance,

ask assistance from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

If you want help, then Allah Subhanahu Wa

Ta'ala is the one to ask.

And know for sure,

if all humans were to gather together to

benefit you, they can never benefit you with

anything except with what Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

has written for you. And if they want

to harm you in any way, they cannot

harm you in any way except with what

Allah has written against you.

And they say

in the proverb, if Allah

is with you, you shouldn't worry about who

is against you. But if Allah

is against you, you shouldn't be proud of

who is with you because he's not gonna

help you in any way.

We mentioned the example

of the wife of Zakariya Alaihi Salam.

She was barren, she couldn't produce kids,

and she was 80 years old, but still

she gave birth to Yahya alaihi

salaam. Sala, the wife of Ibrahim

alaihi salaam, she was 90 years old, and

she was buried too. She couldn't produce babies

even if she was 20 years old, but

still she gave birth to a baby,

at the age of 90.

She was 90 years old.

And therefore, Allah

decrees to create something, you just says be

and it is. That's all it takes.

So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks about the

reason why some people don't put their trust

in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

and why they become arrogant and they give

their back to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in Surat Al

Halak, indeed

man becomes arrogant, he gives his back to

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and he doesn't put

his trust in Allah because this person

thinks he or she is self sufficient.

So some people,

they think they don't need Allah because

they have everything. They have the knowledge, they

have the power, they have the money, they

have the positions, leadership positions. So why should

they need Allah

And there are so many examples in the

Quran.

So a person who was arrogant because of

his knowledge and because of his money, his

Quran

in the Quran,

He says I have been given all this

money because of my knowledge, not because of

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

And the punishment in the Surah was we

destroyed him and his money. Okay?

Thank you. Bye bye with your money.

Or a leader. His pharaoh, the pharaoh.

So in the Quran, he says, I'm your

lord, the most high.

I'm your lord, the most high.

Then what did Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala did

to him? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, we

put him to this grace,

and we made him an example to those

who came before him and after him with

his position

and with his, throne.

The third type of people, they became arrogant

because of their muscles, because of their health

and their power.

Like the people of Al, they were one

of the tallest people ever lived this earth.

They were very tall and and and healthy

and powerful.

They disbelieved and they said, we don't need

Allah because we're healthy.

What happened to them? Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

destroyed them in a week, and the ayah

says, you see their bodies thrown all over

the place,

and they have no skin, and then there

there's no means. Only bones, hollow bones.

There are no muscles, no power.

So by Mohammed your health and your muscles.

So the 4th guy, those who are proud,

those who don't put their trust in Allah

because of their family, because of their social

status.

And one example is the shaitan. He's arrogant.

He said, I'm better than him. Why should

I make sujood to him?

And the end result is, okay, you were

created from the file. You will be punished

in the file in the next life. So

the punishment comes according to

the mistake or the sin they have committed.

So some of us today, they do exactly

the same thing. Look at the tens of

thousands of Muslims all over the city. How

many of them go to Masjid? How many

of them pray the 5 prayers? How many

of them fast in Ramadan?

And some of them are arrogant because of

the old reasons,

because of their knowledge. Some of them say,

okay, I have a PhD. Why do I

why should I pray?

Okay. Believe me, PhD sometimes stands

not for philosophy doctor, but also for permanent

hit damage.

It's the same thing.

And if you have a PhD, it doesn't

mean anything. The prophet

didn't have a master's degree,

They make lots of money, so they don't

need Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

And they think they are successful,

although they have probably killed more patients than

Hitler did in World War 2.

They are in a high position in the

society, a police officer for example,

and they probably have more stars on their

shoulder than the sky.

So they think, okay, why should we need

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala? Maybe, inshallah,

70 years from today when I retire,

gray hair, falling teeth, a stick, then maybe

inshallah, I can pray, I can go for

Hajj, and, I will clean myself.

You don't know when death comes, man.

So you have to prepare yourself at any

moment that death will come to you. Death

doesn't have any time.

So how does Allah

bring us back to him?

The answer is

And this is mentioned

numerous times in the Quran. Allah

says, when we shower our favors with humans,

they turn their backs to us. But when

we put them to hardship,

they come to us with lengthy dua and

supplications.

And Allah

says, if we have given humans everything they

need in their lives, no one of them

would ever come to Allah and ask for

anything. And this is the clue.

Allah

has distributed his favors evenly among people,

but he left always something missing in your

life.

So you will always raise your hands and

say, Oh Allah, give me this and give

me this. So those who have the money

and the health, they don't have children.

So they always say, Oh Allah, give me

children. They return to Allah

and they ask him. And those who are

the children and the help,

they got no money, they're broke. So we'll

always raise their hands and say, oh Allah,

give me money.

Those who have the money

and the help, they don't have children. So

they raise their hands and say, oh Allah,

give me children.

And therefore, this is the way Allah

brings you back to him always, and you

will always ask him to give you this

and this, and you always rely on him

for everything.

So in the remaining minutes inshaAllah, we'll talk

about 2 issues very briefly from an Islamic

perspective. The first one

is the ban on niqab

when people go to the ceremony to get

their citizenship.

What is the ruling Islamic?

Does the sister have to take off her

for this? And the second one is honor

killing.

Is there anything called honor killing? Of course,

most of you have probably heard of the,

the incident in Ontario.

A Muslim brother killed his 3 daughters and

he killed his wife

because he was suspicious of their behavior.

So in regard to the first one,

when they talk about decency in Islam,

they say that hijab is what achieves decency,

and this is what I I vote for.

The second group, they say,

niqab achieves decency. And we respect hijab, we

respect niqab, both of them, and this is

something between the person and his lord. Both

of them are acceptable Islamic.

Does or do the,

the immigration officers have the right to see

the face of a Muslim sister to identify

or to make sure her identity when she

get the citizenship? Yes. They have this right.

But do they have to force Muslim ladies

to take off their niqab

at the ceremony?

They don't.

Again, a person is free to do whatever

they want. This is ABC democracy and freedom

to do whatever you want, as long you're

not violating any laws, as long as you're

not threatening anyone.

So you have the right to cover your

face if you have

allergy, or if you have flu, or if

you want to wear the laptop. Why should

anyone force you to take off the laptop?

Plus, we don't have a problem with women

walking in the street with bikinis,

and tights, and shorts, but when they cover

up, and they cover their faces, now we

have a problem.

It's a messed up mentality,

man.

With regard to the second one, and we

got 1 minute left.

So with regard to the honor killing, there's

no such thing as honor killing in the

Sharia.

The punishment for a lady, a single, who

is not married, for committing adultery is

the lashes, but not killing.

This is number 1. Number 2, the Sharia

is not applied here, and therefore, the punishment

is not applied. There's no Sharia.

And number 3, even if we were living

in a Muslim country,

and the punishment applies, the Sharia applies, the

punishment is not applied by people in the

street. It is applied by the Imam, or

the judge, or the Muslim court.

Otherwise, it will be a zoo.

And therefore,

there's no such thing as honor killing in

Islam. That's Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
