I know it's it's getting very late and,
people are tired.
Jum'ah is a very busy day.
But very,
basically, we have been talking over the last
month
about the,
things that we need to do,
before we go inshallah.
So once you leave this world, if you
do the 10 things that we have been
talking about,
everything will be a piece of cake.
So today, insha'Allah, we'll focus about
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala speaks about those
who have faith in Allah, they serve Him
to the best of their ability, faithfully,
and they do good deeds,
to people around them. And this is very
common in the Quran.
So
we have to prove our faith to Allah
by serving people.
Often time when Allah
and He speaks about the people who will
have a difficult time in the hereafter,
He doesn't usually talk about salah, or zakah,
or hajj, He talks about your relationship with
the people.
It doesn't say
right away. It
says When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks about
those who deny
Those who deny the day of judgment,
they're not mindful of standing before Allah
for judgment,
and when Allah
describes them,
the first category is not those who do
not pray, or those who fail to pray
on time. It talks about those
who do not put a smile on the
face of the orphan
and the needy,
and they do not provide food for them.
In Surah Fashjdu.
When Allah
speaks about
those who are not beautiful to Allah
those who do not observe the rights of
Allah
He speaks about those who do not offer
food to the needy, and they do not
take care of the orphans.
As we said, we have to
keep the balance between observing the rights of
Allah
in terms of salah,
fasting, zakah, and hajj, and so on and
so forth.
And,
keeping the balance with the rights of the
people.
And the rights of the people, category number
1, is your family. Charity begins at home.
You have to start with your family, then
your friends, your neighbors,
the rest of Muslims, and non Muslims by
extension.
Observing the rights of the people. And when
Allah
speaks about the rights of the people in
the Quran,
He says, You have to maintain justice.
Allah
When Allah
speaks about Himself in the Quran, yes, He
is rafoor,
His rahim, all adjectives.
But when He speaks about Himself in terms
of justice, He doesn't say He is the
just. Allah
is justice,
the embodiment of justice. And Allah
says, You have to maintain justice,
in your relationship with your family.
He says give be just give everyone their
light and inheritance.
Your sisters, your daughters, your brothers, give everyone
their share, your father, your wife give everyone
their share because you don't know who would
be beneficial to you in dunya and in
akhir.
Because sometimes
we give something to someone and they don't
deserve it, and we deprive someone who deserves.
Sometimes we put our wives ahead of our
parents, sometimes we put our mother ahead of
our wives. We know in Islam everyone has
a right.
Your wife has a right,
your mother has a right. Your father, your
brother, your sister, give everyone
their right, and do not take the right
of someone and give it to another.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives us so many
stories.
Sometimes,
the mother would be kafir.
In the story of Nuh and Lut. The
wife was kafir. Sometimes the father would be
kafir like in the story of Ibrahim. Sometimes
the son is is careful like in the
story of Nuh in Surah Hud.
And so on and so forth. So you
don't know who is beneficial to you in
dunya and in Afra. So make sure inshaAllah
you fulfill your obligations to everyone around you,
because you have to keep in your mind
that on the Day of Judgment
Yes, you took the light of someone, you
gave it to someone else. You think that
person on the Day of Judgment, they are
going to stand up for you and defend
you, they are not away from you. Right?
So on that day of judgment, everyone will
will be running away from everyone.
The people used to give them, money in
this dunya,
you used to honor them, you used to
help them, and so on and so forth.
No one will remember you on that day.
They will be running away from you because
everyone has a concern of their own.
So you have to prepare for this day,
be just to everyone, give everyone the right,
the rights, the responsibilities,
and so on and so forth, and leave
everything else to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, and
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will judge you.
What I like the most about
the ayat to talk about hisab in the
Quran, and I conclude with this inshallah.
When Allah
speaks about judgment at the end of Surah
Zufruf,
The ending of the surah is very epic,
mashaAllah. Starting from
This mashaAllah
It touches your heart the way He speaks
about Maghrib Ghaffirah, He talks about the day
of judgment, jannah, and jahannath.
And at the end of the surah, Allah
says,
So they say in Tafsir, after the people
of Jannah go to Jannah and the people
of Jannah go to Jannah, everyone
The people of Jahannam will say and the
people of Jahannam will say
So at the end, the believers will say,
Alhamdulillah,
for Allah's
grace, He gave us 10 rewards up to
700 or more for every hasanah. And the
kuffar will say, Alhamdulillah,
for His justice.
Although we're doing bad things and Allah is
just, He gave us one punishment for every
bad deed, not 10, not 700, as He
did with the believers. And everyone in the
masher will say, Alhamdulillahi
Rabbilalameen. So at the end of the day,
keep your rights to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
writes to the people, knowing that on the
day of judgement no one is going to
stand up for you. I know we have
issues in the community, inheritance to our brothers
and sisters, fights, courts. People come to me
all the time. Well, lie. I've met some
people, like there was one case in Edmonton.
For 35
years,
2 brothers were not talking to each other.
35 years because of a difference over a
piece of land. And eventually both of them
would die, and they will leave it behind.
Right? And you don't talk to your brother,
you don't know your, you know, your nephews,
what are their names, who they are, they
don't talk to your kids, for what? You're
leaving everything behind?
Be just, man. Give everyone their right. No
one is gonna is gonna stand out for
you. You'll be accountable only for yourself on
that day. So once you keep this mind,
in your mind, inshaAllah you'll keep the balance
between the rights of Allah and the rights
of the people. Jazakumullah khairun salaamu alaykum wa
salaam wa rakum wa salaam wa rakum wa
salaam wa rakum wa salaam wa rakum wa
salaam wa salaam wa salaam wa salaam wa
salaam.
