The speaker discusses the fundraising for Darashir and the Prophet's use of the word loan to obtain property. The d Sundays' fundraiser provides a reward for contributing to a house or a land, including a loan to a family member and a $500 payment to a friend. The speaker also mentions a housing program where if a person buys a house for business or land, they are required to give the family member a profit.

So inshaAllah, this Friday between Taraweeb,
doctor Abdullah Idrees would be fundraising here for
Darashir,
and the Prophet
was the first in Islam to fundraise for
the Masjid. When the masjid of the prophet
in Madinah gets so tight for the people,
so the prophet
said, who would buy the land next to
the masjid and add it and exit to
the masjid
so we'll have an expansion
for a house in Jannah. And Uthman ibn
Affan rata Allahu Anhu Kalim Al Tabarlaa
be Dalik al Mashur.
So the scholars say if you you can
give your zakah and your sadaqa to the
masajid
and the masajid are one of the recipients
of Zakat in the categories given in Surat
Tawbah, fee Sabeel Ila.
And you will get that word insha Allah
and that word is multiplied as we said
several times before.
Whenever Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks about,
contributions
and donations and sadaqah, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
uses the word loan, l o a n,
which means you will get it back. If
you lend someone something,
then you will get it back sometime.
But if Allah
uses the word charity, some people will think,
okay, once I give it, it is gone.
But Allah uses the word loan
that you give it and you will get
it back,
multiply
it up to 10 fold, 700 fold, and
Allah
gives more to whomever He wants.
So you get a lot of rewards for
contributing,
especially to the house of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala. In this dunya, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will bless your rest for you.
Plus,
your reward in Afrin will be multiplied as
we said,
10 fold, 700 fold, and Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala gives more to whomever He wants.
Plus the tax return in this dunya. So
the scholars say, if you pay Zakat to
the Masjid and the government gives you money
back, this is a reward in this dunya.
So last year, on the day of the
fundraiser, one of the brothers came to me
and he gave me an envelope and he
said put this in the, you know, in
the fundraiser.
The next day he told me, do you
know how much money I put in that
envelope? I I said I didn't know. I
I didn't open it. He said,
this is the only $20
I have in my house. And I gave
it to the Masjid and Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala is generous and he will pay me
back. It's a, you know,
loan to Allah Subhan.
The same day, another brother, Wula, came to
me and he gave a big amount of
money to the masjid as, you know, contribution
toward the fundraiser.
And he said, take
this $500
and give it to one of the brothers
in the masjid.
Just give it to someone in the masjid.
500. I said, can we put it in
the, you know, in the fundraiser? He said,
no. I paid, alhamdulillah, a good amount for
the fundraiser. Give this to someone. I called
the brother who gave me the $20
and I gave him the $500.
The same day. So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
multiplies us.
So one of the brothers told me that
he has about a $100,000
in in his bank account, and he paid
Zakkah like 4 years ago, and he thought
you pay only once.
No. If you have more than $2,000
in your bank account
and it stays in your account for 1
year, then you have to pay 2.5%
on this money every single year. And the
same is also true for a house that
you buy for business
or a land that you buy, and the
when the prices go up, you sell that
house or that land, then you have to
give zakat if it stays for 1 year
or more, and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will
reward you. Thus Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala
