So last night, we spoke about knowledge and

we spoke about Ibadan.

Today we'll talk about the essence, the core

of Islam and the essence of Ibadah.

The essence of Islam is to make your

life easy. Islam

is all about making your life simple and

easy.

And to live a decent and happy life

in this dunya and to go to Jannah

and Afra. This is the most distance of

Islam.

Islam

is to generate taqwa in your heart and

to bring the Muslim community close to each

other,

the unity among Muslims.

The time when the Quran talks about Ibadah,

the verses always ends with the word Taqwa.

So the purpose of Ibadah,

the purpose of Sayyad in the Quran is

so that the Baqarah is to generate taqwa

in your hearts,

to make you mindful of Allah Subhanahu Wa

Ta'ala.

The purpose of Hajj is to generate in

your heart, salah, and so on and so

forth.

There's no time to list all the ayahs

in the Quran. Again, you can check it

yourself.

So the second purpose is to bring Muslims

together and to create unity among Muslims.

When do you or how where do you

pray the 5 daily prayers? You pray them

on your own or you are committed to

come to the masjid and pray with other

Muslims,

to be with them, to be a group

together.

The Hajj. Do you do Hajj whenever you

feel like in any month you want or

the Hajj is done at certain times so

all people can go together?

Do you pass Ramadan in any month you

want or it is done in a special

month? So all Muslims fast together

As I said, the purpose, the essence of

Ibadan Islam is to bring Muslims together. But

sometimes

some Muslim,

they spoil the joy of Ramadan and the

joy of Eid, and they kill the spirit

of unity. So for example, a big fire

on the 1st day of Ramadan, whether Ramadan

is Friday or Saturday.

Then another big fight, whether should we pray

11 rakah or 21 rakahs.

Then another big fight, whether should we finish

the whole Quran in Ramadan or just a

few swords from here and there. Then a

big fight, should you give your zakat of

faith money or food?

Then the last day a big fight with

an aid is tomorrow or the day after

tomorrow.

So,

one of my friends, he was an Imam

in Texas, he told me this story that

the 1st day of Ramadan, a few years

back,

they had that that big fight on the

1st night of Tarawim

because they disagreed on whether they'll play, pray,

and live in rak'ahs or 21 rak'ahs.

So they started the fight with chairs and

baseball clubs and all that stuff, and people

started to bleed on the carpet.

So one of them wanted to finish the

fight, so he called the police. True story.

So the police came and they saw people

fighting and pleasing on the carpet.

So the police been started running on the

carpet with their shoes inside the muslim.

So both groups, the 11 rakas group and

the 21 rakas group, they stayed at the

office of haram haram. How can they walk

in our holy carpet with your shoes?
