Last year, we spoke about the things that
bring you closer to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
and how to have a better relationship with
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
This year, we'll talk about Muslim manners and
how to have a better relationship with the
people.
So when the Prophet SAW was asked about
the highest
type of iman, the highest level of iman,
the Prophet SAW says patience
and good manners
and kindness.
So today, inshaAllah, we'll be talking about patience.
One patience
Okay?
But it's very tough, and this is why
I I like to start by talking about
patience. If you live in this country, especially
in Edmonton,
and you have to fast for 19 or
20 hours, you have to have a little
patience. You walk in the street, you see
people eating them. You go to work, you
see people drinking Tim Hortons. And your fasting
is very tough. I was talking to my
mother this morning in Egypt, and she told
me that I'm fasting in Egypt for 15
hours. I never felt so envious in my
life.
Okay?
Last year, when I started to fast,
19 and 20 hours is gonna get worse
next year in June.
So,
I felt that, like, I was gonna die
the 1st couple of days. But when I
saw a lot of kids fasting, I said,
Alhamdulillah, I will survive.
How many of you
still remember how much they suffered last year?
No one.
Why? Because once the Rebada is over, all
the hardship is gone.
And this is why this guy said,
the hardship of good deeds like fasting and
salaam, waking up of fashr, as soon as
the prayer is gone, as soon as the
fasting is gone, you forget about the worship
and the difficulty.
But the reward and the honor will be
there forever.
And the pleasure for doing evil deeds, dating
and drinking and smoking and all that stuff.
As soon as you're finished, the pleasure is
gone, but the disgrace is there
and the punishment
is there forever. And this is the difference.
The
prophet
says,
the way to the hellfire is paved with
pleasures,
and the way to Jannam paradise is paved
with difficulty.
And some of my friends at the law
as well they used to translate,
this hadith to the way
to Jannam is paved with candy
like this.
Yeah. That's a good one.
And the way to Jahannam is paved with
salt.
So you have to have to face challenges,
and you have to have to face difficulties
when you wait to Jahannam. It is not
easy. And you look at the Sahaba and
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, how much
they suffer. I'm gonna conclude with this Hadith,
and in the news sallallahu alaihi wa sallam,
So this is a wonderful Hadith, and it
will help you get over the difficulties and
the challenges that you face when you fast.
Allah
says
the prophet says in the authentic hadith Islamic
Muslim that on the day of judgment, Allah
will bring forth 1 of the kuffar.
They use those who used to date any
woman they wanted, those who used to drink
anything they wanted, they used to smoke anything
they wanted. No ada, no aqlaq, no manners,
nothing. And Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will dip
them once in the hip fire, Then they
would ask, have you seen any pleasure in
this world? They say, no more lie. We
forgot everything.
Then Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will bring forth
a Muslim, a believer, who used to fast
in the summer
when it was very hot. And they used
to fast long days, 20 hours. And they
used to stand at night until a wave
and come in the morning for fajr, and
they have to wake up early in the
morning to go to work. And Allah
will lift him once in Jannah, and he
will say, have you seen any difficulty in
this life? Any hardship? They say, no, Allah.
We forgot everything.
All the hardship, all the pain, all the
difficulty is gone. So if it gets difficult
for you while you're fasting,
remember the reward and the honor you will
get on the day of judgment, and this
will help you. On the day of judgment,
the Kufa, when they will be punished for
their deeds in this life, they wish they
have fasted the whole year.
They wish they have standing the whole day
and the whole night in salah. So Allah
So the question for today, every day, inshallah,
we'll be asking question from the Quran.
Ramadan is the month of our Quran. So
in juz a'amma, juz number 30, Allah
says that something breathe and this thing has
no soul. What is it? If you know
the answer, you mail me before tomorrow
