Mustafa Khattab – Mistranslated Verses Of The Quran 5682 Do Not Repay Allah Swt For All His Favours With Denial

Assalamu alaikum. This ayah in,

chapter 5682,

Surah Waka. When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala speaks

about his favors

to everyone, to believers and disbelievers,

and he talks about the fact that he

created them, he provides for them, and so

on and so forth, and he is the

one who is able to do everything.

Then when he says,

He's talking to the deniers of Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala. Those who either don't believe in

him or those who don't worship him, he

created them and they worship someone else.

And he provides for them and they thank

someone else. So Allah

is is reproaching them and he's telling them

A lot of translators, they misunderstand this verse

and they say, Do you make a living

out of your disbelief?

This is not the right way of understanding

the verse. The right way is,

do you return,

the favors of Allah

or respond to them by denial, this is

not the right way to pay him back

for his favors.

So the actual meaning of the ayah, do

not repay Allah

back for all these favors with denial because

this is ingratitude.

This is the right meaning of the verse.
