Mustafa Khattab – Lessons from Hijra

So tomorrow

is the first day of the Islamic year,

Islamic

history calendar.

So the prophet

migrated from Mecca to Medina

1436

years ago.

There are a lot of lessons we can

learn

the to have a vision in life, to

have a purpose and a goal in life,

and you have to have hope, and you

put your trust in the law subhanahu wa'ala.

And number 3, sacrifices

have to be made for you to achieve

success.

We know that the prophet

and the Sahar you know the seerah,

and we started them when we're young, all

these stories. We know that the prophet was

persecuted in Mecca and the Sahar for 13

years.

Some of them were wounded. Some of them

So much so for 3 years that some

of them had to eat grass and leaves

from the trees.

It was that bad.

And the prophet

had a vision.

He knew that Allah would

give victory to this religion,

and the truth would prevail.

this religion, this matter of our faith will

reach whatever the day and the 9th reach,

which means that Islam will go to every

corner in the world.

Islam is the most diverse religion in the

world. You come to our Masjid here, you

see people from everywhere. From Asia to Europe

to Africa, from everywhere.

We have people from everywhere.

Many different languages, many different cultures. You see

now their parents have a problem with them

because now they're Muslim.

So the prophet in this hadith, which they

say is weak,

that they will come when common sense will

become nonsense,

and nonsense will be perceived as common sense.

Common sense is not very common these days.

So we ask

to give us success. So this is the

first point that you have to have a

vision in life, that you have to have

a goal you're trying to achieve. You don't

just live like this with no goal, with

in this life. Without hope, you cannot go

anywhere.

And remember,

no one will be able to help you.

the beginning, if you want to succeed at

something,

sacrifices have to be made. If you want

to succeed as a student, if you want

to succeed as a businessman, if you want

to succeed as an agent, you have to

make sacrifices.
