Mustafa Khattab – Justice In The Hereafter

Okay. So

we'll be talking inshallah about

Arkanul

Imaan. We're still talking about Allah Subhanahu Wa

Ta'ala

and the names and the attributes of Allah

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So today I'm gonna talk

a little bit

about

La'adlah

and Acher.

We said before that we cannot see Allah

in dunya because we are not equipped to

see Him.

When Musa

requested in Surah Araf to see Allah

he was told,

he did not see me.

Allah

did not say, I cannot be seen. He

said, you cannot see me.

Right? He said, you cannot see me, you're

not equipped, you're not ready to see me.

And as we said before,

we'll be able to see Allah

on the day of judgment and stay before

Him, stand before Him for judgment.

So

the focus for of my tarf today is

free choice

and yamul kiyam. In in this dunya,

we have free choice, you can do whatever

you want. Right? If you wanna do good

things, you can.

Unless you're violating any laws,

then a lot of people do whatever they

want.

People drink, people do drugs. Marijuana is now

legal, and so on and so forth. But

not for you. It's not good.

So maybe

in the next election, if a conservative government

is elected,

marijuana would be illegal again. Right?

Because people keep changing their mind.

Sometimes something is bad becomes good and something,

or I mean legal.

Like in the past, marijuana was illegal, now

it is legal.

Maybe some something was something was

legal, then it becomes illegal, and and so

on and so forth.

For Allah

what is right is always right, and what

is wrong is always wrong. But Allah

what is

different about us,

from any other creation of Allah

like

animals and

everything else? Malaika.

We have free choice.

You can do whatever you want,

so Allah

does not force you to do certain things.

When it comes to our actions in dunya,

I know that the introduction is kind of

boring, it's kind of

academic, but,

you need to understand this,

that

our actions in this dunya or

actions around us are of 2 types.

Things that you have no control over,

like your heartbeats, you have no control over

that. The sun coming out of the east

in the morning and setting in the west

in the evening, you have no control. So

do you think Allah would question you about

these things?

Yes or no?

He will ask you why your heart was

beating,

70 times per minute, or why the sun

was coming out of the east in the

morning? He will ask you about this. Because

you have no control. He will not ask

you.

But Allah

will ask you about the things that you

have no control over.

Whether you,

pray

on time, you have between 1:30

and 4:30, for example, to pray.

So you chose not to pray,

but to play video games. Right?

Until the time for salah was over.

Did you have a choice to pray?

Yes. Did you pray?

No. So you made the choice. No one

is forcing you. And in the morning, when

you wake up before you come to school,

they ask you, would you like to eat

cereal with milk?

Would you like to eat cheese or eggs?

They ask you at home. So you have

you have a choice. Right?

If you have a fork in your hand,

you can use it to eat or to

stab someone in the eye.

You make the choice. It's your call.

If you have a free time, you can

use your free time to do your homework,

to do something good, to help your mom,

or you can use your free time to

torture a cat.

For example,

you can use your money to buy something

beneficial, something useful,

or you can use your money

you spend your money on something terrible, or

drugs, or whatever. Right? So people have free

choice in this dunya.

So what is the point of Akhir?

Right? We move from this dunya to Akhirah,

and the prophet said, you are here in

this dunya like a Musa'afir, someone who is

a traveler, but eventually you will leave,

and I always

give the example of a bus. All of

us are on this bus, and when your

stuff comes, you get off the bus.

Right?

So some people get off the bus sooner

than others. When your stuff comes, you just

get off the bus.

So what is the point

of? What about

if we just live in this dunya,

you live your life, you do whatever you

want,

then you die, there's nothing after.

So the problem with that is,

in this case,

there will be no justice.

I'll give you,

one example.

To show you the importance of

and standing before Allah

for judgment.

We're gonna use,

this guy. Come here.

I don't have candy, but,

what's your name again?

Zayn. Zayn, So Zayn is a very good

guy,

and,

he's a family man, he's married, and he

has kids. I'm gonna call, this guy, come

here,

and this guy, sit over here,

and,

who else? This guy, sit over here, 3

of you,

and this sister, nice glasses, and this sister,

sit over here.

Sit down, face the people, face this way.

Yeah. Sit down, facing this way. So this

is your dad,

Zain.

He goes to work every day. Right?

No days off. He's working hard to provide

for you.

Right? To buy all the stuff you like,

buy you candy, buy you food,

take you to the store, and so on.

Very good guy. So,

he doesn't have a car, he has to

walk from work

to the house. So one night,

he was walking 11 PM,

going to his house, he works, you know,

at night, he was going to the house,

and

there came this guy. Come here. He crashes.

So this guy

is a troublemaker. Do you have a name?

Malik. Malik. He's

a troublemaker.

He's driving his car,

and he's texting while driving. Good or bad?

Bad. He chose to text, right, while driving.

So what happened,

this poor guy was walking on the sidewalk.

So this guy squirmed,

and he ran over him and killed him

innocently.

Dead.

So these kids here,

they became orphans.

Okay. Thank you.

Okay. So

so it was 11 PM.

It was dark. No one saw this guy

killing this poor guy.

No. Hold on. So no one saw this

guy killing this man,

hit and run. You you read about it

in the news all the time. Hit and

run. He hit him, and he ran away.

No one saw him. This

guy ended up in

the grave,

and this guy ended up in the movies.

He went to the movies to enjoy the

rest of the night.

Do you think justice

is served here? No. Is there justice in

this?

No. With this guy dying and leaving behind

5 beautiful kids, and a wife,

and this guy enjoying his life till the

end of his life, there's nothing hap now

now, if there is no judgment in Akra,

if there's no judgment in Akha, this this

guy enjoyed his life, he lived another 50,

70 years enjoying his life, just pretending like

nothing happened, and this poor guy was killed,

and that's it for him.

Standing before Allah, because there are so many

injustices in this world,

and

sometimes

justice is never established. This is just one

example. I'm gonna give a bigger example

to show you.

Somewhat like

George Bush,

and

Tony Blair,

and

Hitler,

and

Stalin,

so,

and Mao. People like this.

Mao, and Stalin, and Hitler, and all these

people in Jordan. Sit down. No. No. No.

So

so these people, these 5 people between themselves,

they killed more than a 100,000,000 people.

More than a 100,000,000 people. People like Mao

and Stalin.

Mao and Stalin,

between them, they were communists. Between themselves,

they killed more than 70,000,000 people

around World War 2.

Right? Mao and Stalin.

So, you see someone like George Bush, he

destroyed Iraq,

based on false information,

and so on and so forth. It's not

a secret now, he lied,

and it's all history now. But what about,

what about the millions of lives that were

destroyed in Iraq, and in Afghanistan, and so

on and so forth? People who were killed,

orphaned,

widowed,

and so on and so forth. They lost

their land, they lost everything they had,

at the hands of George Bush and Tony

Blair.

Where is Tony Blair now? Where is George

Bush?

George Bush, from what I know, he is

now sitting at his ranch in Texas,

enjoying 1,000,000 of dollars, he's living like a

king, and he will probably do so till

the end of his life.

Do you think this is just?

And do you think this is fair? Yes.

It is not just, it is not fair.

And this is why there's a point in

Athab.

People like him, George Bush, Tony Blair, Hitler,

Stalin, and all the suckers, and all the

killers, and all the evil people who existed

in this world, there's a time where they

would be raised from the dead and they

stand before Allah

for justice.

And all the good people who are abused

in this world, they will stand before Allah

and they will get justice

from the people who have used them in

this dunya. So now after

this big talk, do you

think it is fair to have judgment in

the?

Yeah. Is there a point? It is is

it important, significant to have justice in? Yeah.

Yes. Okay. So I think the case is,
