AI: Summary ©
I bear witness that there is no worthy
of our worship except Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And I bear witness that Muhammad salallahu alaihi
wa sallam is the seal of the prophets
and the final messenger to all of humanity.
Whoever Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guides, there is
none to misguide.
And whoever Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala leads to
astray, there is none to guide right.
So if you have been following the news,
the great injustice,
the genocide that is going on in Myanmar
for the Muslims there, the yogo, for the,
Muslims there, Rohingya
in Mahramar.
And you see, subhanallah, that the Muslim blood
is probably the cheapest blood on earth.
Seems like no one is is carrying anymore.
Yeah. And some rulers in the Muslim world,
Yani,
they don't care so much so they don't
even condemn anymore what is going on. Like,
in the past, some people would come out
for political reasons or whatever to say something.
They're not doing anything. They just condemn
what is going on,
but even condemnations
is not being done anymore.
You see some condemnations coming from,
you know, Canada.
The Turkish government has issued a strong condemnation,
but for the most part in the Muslim
world, there is absolutely nothing.
So as I said, the Muslim blood is
is running, and it is very cheap
in Syria, in Iraq,
Kashmir,
in many places, Myanmar, Central Africa,
in different places,
and in Yemen, and so on and so
forth. And and sometimes you have this feeling
of helplessness. What can I do? I see
hundreds of thousands of people being abused, being
killed,
driven out of their homes for nothing.
The same story in Surah Buruj is always
repeated over and over again,
and you have this feeling of help helplessness.
What what can we do? There's nothing we
can do. There are some ways you can
help, and I'm gonna mention this at the
end of the ikhulbabir alayhi ta'ala.
When you look at this situation,
it's not only about
revoking,
the Nobel Peace Prize, the this lady, Sans
Souci, whatever you call her, revoking this, prize
or revoking her honoring Canadian citizenship.
And and and the interesting thing is this
is now the only time that someone who
has blood on their hands received the Nobel
Peace Prize.
We have seen it so many times.
I'm not gonna mention names,
you know.
There are so many examples, there are so
many names.
So they give the Nobel Peace Prize although
they have civilian
blood on their hands.
So it's not this is not the first
time. So this shows you the kind of
injustice that we are, are going through.
All these injustices, and again, the feeling, the
helplessness, and you see videos, graphic videos of
even kids, babies being butchered, women being butchered
and raped, and so on and so forth.
I remember
there was a story.
I'm gonna diverse a little bit for a
second to talk about injustice.
The injustices that take place
on individual levels, on society levels, and I
will talk about the consequences
of injustice in this dunya in Akhirah.
Then at the end, inshallah, I will talk
about what we can do as a Muslim
community in Canada to help our brothers and
sisters in Main Emar and and other places
as well. So I remember this story,
that happened in a Muslim country. There was
a student of,
medicine. He he's going to the medical school,
and he wasn't a microbus. He doesn't have
a car, so he's taking the microbus, which
is very common, back home. So he said,
on the way,
there was a stop, someone opened the door
and he said, he grabbed me by the
shoulder and he threw me out of the
microbus because he wanted to take my my
place.
And the heartbreaking thing is no one in
the microbus protested.
Not the driver, not the other people in
the microbus, they said we're late for work,
let's go. He took your spot, what is
the big deal, let's go? So no one
was protesting.
And this brother,
who's telling this story, he said, Wallahi, my
heart was broken, I felt helpless.
I'm not surprised that that, like, someone like
this with no adab, no adab, would take
my place.
I'm talking about the people who didn't protest.
He didn't tell him, this is his spot.
How can you take him out and throw
him out in the street and take his
place?
And I
said,
This is the the biggest weapon you have
when you you feel abused.
No one is taking your rights. When you
say,
You know Allah will take care of you.
The stories are so many we can touch
on on them.
Ibrahim alaihi salam in the hadith and the
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Salaam when Ibrahim alaihi salam
was being thrown in the fire,
he said Hasbull Allahu Alaihi Maruki. Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala is the might, He is the
power, and He will take care of me.
You know what happened in the story Allah
made him victorious.
In the story of Yusuf alaihis salam, his
own brothers,
his own brothers.
They tried to kill him, they threw him
away, they sold him into slavery, you know
what happened later?
You know, he was falsely accused of trying
to commit Zina with the wife of Al
Aziz, they threw him in jail, and so
on and so forth. Hazbunullah wa Nairwal Waqil,
and Allah
made him victorious.
The story of Musa alaihi salam. They tried
to kill him, and so on and so
forth. Hazbura Allah made
him victorious, and the story are all over
the, Quran. You know what happened at the
end. When you put your trust in Allah
especially when you reach this desperate situation,
and you feel like there's no one who
can help you,
and no one who cares about you except
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
So he said, when they threw me out,
that no one cared about my situation, I
said I sat there on the road, and
I said, Hazbin Allahu alayhi.
A few minutes later, about 10 minutes later,
he said, another another microbus
came, and there was a spot, so I
sat on the microbus.
He said after,
7 miles or something, I passed by this
microbus,
the guy the, you know, the the guy
threw me out of. He said that microbus
will not get into an accident, and many
people were killed in that accident. So number
1, I realized I could have been there.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala saved me. And
the other thing is, you see, the innocent
punishment that happened to the driver and the
people in the micro bus. But sometimes, subhanAllah,
the the punishment does not happen immediately.
It takes some time.
And in Ainulullah, like the suffering of the
Palestinians and so many people that has been,
like, 70, 80 years now, and you see,
this is a long time.
Mata and Rasulullah, when is the victory coming?
When Allah is gonna help us?
But when you know that
a
day with Allah is like a 1000 years
of calculations,
you know that eventually as we said in
the Lord, justice will be established and Allah
works on his schedule,
not on our schedule. So Allah
does the right thing in the right time,
and it is a test for us. I
I know. It's hard. It's very difficult, but
Allah
He He You Niuqaddirud Avdar Allah
will send
these tests to purify the Ummah to see
who has weak Imam, who is Bunaabib, and
so on and so forth. The same thing
happened to the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in
the Sahawaf.
Li yami is Allah with kabitha minatayee. So
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will distinguish
between those who have faith in Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala, those who have a strong iman
and those who don't.
When you look at the Quran and the
Sunnah of the Prophet Sallallahu Wa Salam there
are so many things about injustice.
So, for example, in the Quran
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala prohibits injustice even to
a non Muslim,
even to animals. It's haram to do injustice
to any human being Muslim or non Muslim
or even animals and birds and so on
and so forth. Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in this Qudsi Hadith,
He says, all humanity, all My servants,
I have made
injustice Haram for you and Haram for Myself.
I don't commit injustice
whatsoever,
so do not abuse or commit injustices to
one another.
So you see in the Quran,
for example, the story we mentioned a long
time ago that when a Jew was treated
unjustly
by a Muslim in Medina, they stole a
shield from another Muslim,
and this Muslim who stole the shield, the
chor, the thief, he gave the shield as
an abandon to a Jew.
So they were able to trace
the shield to the house of the Jew
because the Muslim who stole it, he put
it in a sack of flour, and there
was a hole or something, they were able
to trash, to trace the, the the shield
all the way to the house of the
Jew. He said, I didn't do it, and
Muslim gave it to me.
Gave it to Zayid al Samid, the Jew.
He said, I didn't do it. Even the
family and the friends of the Muslim came
in his defense,
and they said, You Rasulullah, you're not going
to,
rule in favor of a Jew against a
Muslim, are you? So eventually the Ayat from
Surah An Essa were revealed,
and
the whole page was revealed,
to declare the innocence of the Jew and
to say that the Muslim is the thief.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not do
injustice to anyone.
Even on Yawm Al Qiyamah, it would do
justice to everyone.
Also the Hadith of the Prophet SAW Alaihi
Wasallam,
in Narmalik De Bashir in Al Bukhar in
this authentic Hadith, he said his father, Bashir,
came to the Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam because
his mother,
the mother of Al Narmal, the narrator of
the Hadith, she wanted her husband,
Bashir,
to give some more land or a property
or money to one son and to favor
one's son over the others.
So he came to the Prophet SAW Alaihi
Wasallam to be shahid over this, and the
Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam said, do you have
other kids other than Anuraman? He said, yes,
I have any kids. And the Prophet SAW
Alaihi Wasallam said, did you give all of
them like him? This extra gift or money
you will give? He said, no, I didn't.
So the Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam said, Ashkit
ala dari kabraghi fa'inila ashhatu ala Jaww. The
Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam said, look for another
witness because I don't witness over zone, injustice.
Doesn't work.
There is also another Hadith
where,
Abu Talha, one of the great Sahaba, and
he was married to this great Sahabiya,
and
for some reason, he came to divorce her.
Hadith Al Harqim.
So he came and he said to the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, I want to
divorce my wife and the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam said she she's a great Sahabiya.
She is a good believer. She prays, she
fast, very excellent woman.
And he said,
Divorcing a woman like this is great injustice,
don't do it in the authentic Hadith. So
the Prophet SAW Salam did not approve of
this injustice.
And there are so many stories in the
hadith, the Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam, Yali told
the Sahaba to not kill an animal for
sport, like you don't go around in the
in the woods and you shoot animals for
for no reason.
The only time you can kill an animal
in Islam is for food or to protect
yourself.
You are camping somewhere and a bear came
to attack you, you protect yourself or for
food.
But you see, like, people take kill animals,
they kill a lion or a rhino or
an elephant, and they post the pictures on
Facebook. I didn't take kill a nanu.
Adith Adith Adith al prophet sallallahu alaihi wa
sallam, a woman will go to Jahannunah for
starving a cat to death. And the stories
are so many, and the Prophet who burned
down,
the, the value of ants because he was
stung by 1 ant. And Allah told him,
just you were stung for being stung by
1 ant, you kill 100 of 1000 of
ants who praise Allah, and so on and
so forth. The stories are so many.
So injustice is not acceptable in any form
or shape.
So the Alama say,
there are 2 types of basically.
1 you commit against yourself.
And say for example, you don't take care
of yourself,
you don't eat well, you don't sleep well,
you don't take care of your health. This
is dun against yourself, and this is not
allowed in Islam. You need to take good
care of yourself, and the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi
wa Salam said,
Your body has a right on you, your
family has a right on you, and Allah
has rights on you, so give everyone their
rights.
You commit humanity,
people commit against themselves
when they commit shirk against Allah
He created them and they worship someone else.
When he provides for them and they thank
someone else.
As Allah
says in Surah Al Mak, committing shirk is
the biggest of all wrongs.
We commit
when you deny your salah, for example,
and you put your work, your games, whatever
ahead of your salah, until you waste your
salah altogether.
You commit
when you don't do your Zakah, Allah gave
you money and you don't give your Zakah,
and so on and so forth. So this
is Zakah against yourself,
and there is also a Zulm of other
human beings.
Like, you take the rights of someone.
Whether they are part of your family or
they are not from your family, they are
from your human family.
So, for example,
there's this Hadith, of course, the prophet in
a time of day.
The first thing that you'll be questioned about
on the day of judgment is Sala, namaz.
So this is the first type of. In
another hadith, the prophet
said, the first thing you'll be questioned about
on judgment day is Adima,
shedding someone's blood.
Because there are 2 types of Dhum, as
I mentioned. Dhum against yourself for not praying
and so on and so forth, and Dhum
against other people shedding their blood, abusing them.
So these are the 2 types of,
Dhum in Islam. Sometimes
we commit against our own families, and I
have seen cases, I do counseling. A husband
will do
to his wife,
not taking care of her, not providing for
her. Like, there are so many cases where
a sister would come to me and say,
oh, my husband took off. I don't know
where he is. Maybe he went to another
country. He got married. He's not providing for
us anymore.
This is
in some cases, someone is not happy with
his wife, but he doesn't want to give
her Ma'am
or Nafakan and so on and so forth.
So what he would do? He will turn
her life into living *.
He will abuse her. He will give her
a hard time. It will make him her
miserable.
So much so that she will come and
say, you know what? I want Choleh. I
don't need anything from you. Just take all
the money. I don't need anything. And this
is Gul.
A wife will do injustice to her husband
for by not taking care of him or
the family,
by,
demanding things beyond his means and abilities. This
is called.
Like, she would ask to live in a
certain place or to buy a certain car,
and this is, like, beyond his means. He
cannot do it, and this is called.
A father would do injustice to his kids
by not teaching them the right things about
Islam, by not spending time with them, by
giving some of them more than others in
terms of miraat and so on and so
forth.
And I've seen cases where,
you know, a family were arranged and managed
for their daughter, especially daughter.
If she likes the guy, this is fine.
I know this is successful in some cultures.
They introduce,
you know, their daughter to someone from their
culture. They speak the same language. If she
likes the guy, they have things in common,
alhamdulillah. But if you force your daughter to
sub marry someone
against her, well, this is totally haram, and
this is wrong. It is not acceptable in
Islam. And I know that in some cultures,
someone will force their daughter to some to
marry someone from their own culture who's not
practicing,
and they prefer that on top of someone
who is practicing, but from a totally different
culture. I'm not asking everyone to, Yani, marry
your daughter to anyone from another culture. I
know people prefer someone from their own culture.
Alhamdulillah.
But your daughter has to like the guy,
and they have to find things in common.
I'm not saying don't marry her to someone
from outside.
Yes. From inside is acceptable, but they have
to have things in common, and he has
to respect her, and he has to be
practicing.
Sometimes when you look at the heads of
state,
some rulers in our countries and dictators, and
they are the very rulers, and they are
the very reason why many of us are
here.
And they are the very reason I'm able
to see all these beautiful faces over here,
and for this I'm great.
So they're committing justice.
And, and the funny thing is sometimes because
this is very obvious, it's very clear, they
abuse their people and they give them a
hard time and so on and so forth,
but every one of us
may abuse others
in her or his ability.
Yeah. Say for example, a dictator in our
country back home, Allah gave them so much
power, they have the army behind them, they
have the police behind them, secret service behind
them. Some of us will do the same
thing in their own house
according to their own ability.
Because sometimes when you earn
bread for the family, you pay the expenses
and so on and so forth. Sometimes
we become dictators in our own houses, like,
you force your kids to study at a
certain
school. They want to become a teacher, and
no. No. No. No. If you don't become
a doctor like your uncle, you're not my
son, you are getting 0 of my inheritance.
This is dictatorship.
As long as they want to do something
good, don't force them. Right? So there are
so many examples I don't want to dwell
on this, but sometimes we do injustice dul
each and every one of us according to
their ability.
Right? So we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
to help us be just in everything we
do and say, Assalla Allahum Fali.
So as I mentioned at the beginning,
our brothers and sisters in Myanmar, they've been
going through things,
and it is not fair.
This is great injustice,
and some of us will ask what can
I do?
And as I mentioned before, you don't expect
the world to be fair to you. You
don't expect the world to be fair to
you. It has been done before,
and it is going on, and several things
have been done before, and and
the international community will react when it is
already too late.
Like, 20 years ago, when the genocide happened
in Kosovo.
Right? Yes. They reacted, but it was it
was already too late. Tens of 1,000 were
killed. Women were raped, and so on and
so forth.
Central Africa,
and so on and so forth. And this
is not new. Even the Jews around World
War 2,
because now you see the United Nations and
this and that, no. They didn't help them
from day 1.
You know? They waited until 1,000,000 were killed,
and now, oh, let's do something about it.
I heard back in the 1943
and 19,
44,
Many refugees came from Europe, and they were
heading to Canada. They were heading to, the
US,
and the government was not willing to accept
refugees,
and they had a petition or something. They
were asking people their opinion. Should we accept,
Jewish women and children from Germany and from
Europe, in the US, and in Canada? It
happened in in, particularly in the US, and
most people said no. We don't need people
who come here to to steal our jobs.
And so they turned ships full of babies
and kids and women back to Germany and
Europe, and there is this issue.
So you don't expect the world to be
fair because it was not fair to other
people.
The only thing that is required for injustice
to continue
is for good people to do nothing.
So,
InshaAllah, there are several things we can do
about it. As I said before,
you can voice your opinion to members of
government government here. They can pressure
the government of Bayama. You send letters, you
speak to, your MP, and do something about
it. I know that there is a march
happening on Saturday, September 16th
at 1:30 in Toronto in front of the,
in, Queen's Park where they have the assembly
of the parliament. So people will be going
there to protest
against these injustices.
So you can voice your opinion, and they
can put pressure
on this government to stop the abuse of
Muslims.
You can do donations through legal channels, and
the minimum you can do is to make
dua for them. That Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala,
will end this injustice.
We pray that Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will
give them safety and security, and we ask
Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, to give safety and
security to all Muslims and everyone for that
matter.
When there is blood running in Central Africa,
Muslims are being killed. We pray for them,
and we stand with them because this is
part of being who you are as a
Muslim. You care about
others
in the Muslim family, 1,600,000,000
Muslims.
When the blood is running
in,
Myanmar, in other places, you feel sorry for
them, and you try to do your best
to help them. And as I said, by
extension, if I see another human being,
Muslim or non Muslim, because this is a
per you know, perception they have about us
in the media
that we only protest,
we only stand up and speak out if
Muslim riots are violated or abused.
So as a Muslim, as I mentioned at
the beginning, in the Quran, in the Sunnah
of the prophet,
you stand up against injustice.
It doesn't matter against who, and it doesn't
matter by who.
So if someone,
not Muslim,
being abused,
First Nation,
people of color,
women, someone being abused,
I stand up for their rights because this
is part of who I am as a
Muslim. I stand up for justice as Allah
says in the Quran.
You a you a ladheena a manukunu kawwameena
ilashuwadaa
abil kist. Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says stand, you have to
stand up for justice
even if it's against yourself as a witness
to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. So at the
end, we may go out to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala
to end the struggle and the bloodshed, and
we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to give
our brothers and sisters safety and security.
