That there is none worthy for our worship
except Allah
And I bear witness that Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam is the seal of the prophets
and the final messenger
to all humanity.
Today, insha'Allah,
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
says in the Quran, we want to show
and shower our favor
to those who have been abused and oppressed
in the land.
And we made them in territories
in the land and leaders.
And to show the pharaoh
and those who supported
him in evil
the mightiness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and
the things that they were afraid of.
And it is a Sahih Muslim,
oh my servants, Allah says, oh my servants,
I have made
injustice
forbidden for myself. So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
does not abuse anyone and he's not unjust
to anyone.
Then Allah says, and I have made it
forbidden for you, so don't oppress or abuse
one another.
Abu Musa Al Hashari, it's in Bukhari in
Muslim,
that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will give a
grace period
to those who are unjust,
to those who abuse people.
Even to repent,
Allah give them more time to make or
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will give more
them more time to make more coils around
their necks. So when the time comes and
Allah pulls
the rope, there's no escape for them.
And this is what they always say,
So whenever
the punishment comes for those who abuse and
persecute people,
they all the first thing they say, oh,
Allah,
we haven't lived enough.
I have been empowered for 42 years.
This is not enough time for me to
make cover.
The guy who was terminated yesterday
was 10 years in office when I was
born in 1977.
I'm 34 years old.
The same day I was born, he was
almost 10 years in office. But 42 years
is not long enough
for this person to mend his ways and
make tawbah to Allah
How much time does it take for you
to make tawbah and istifa and mend your
ways? A few seconds.
But they always say, we didn't have enough
time to mend our ways.
And Allah
gives the answer in so far, we have
given you more time than enough.
But you wasted it, you ruined
it. You spoiled
and you, abused the authority we have given
you over the people.
So
This is a favor from Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala that deserves our gratitude.
And Allah says, when the evil doers are
destroyed, those who abuse
and oppress their people,
They abuse the authority that Allah
has given them over the nations, and they
abuse them that they are corrupt, or they
are destroyed.
When the time comes, then this is,
you know, a time for gratitude for Allah
Ala'ala that these people are not living anymore.
The first one is to be unjust to
yourself.
For example, if you worship anyone besides Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
Buddha and all the other
items that are taken from worship besides Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, raise and all these
items or persons.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us in the
qaba'a, indeed, associating partners with Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala in the in worship is a great
injustice.
Those
who make innovations in their religion, this is
a great injustice because you deprive yourself of
the reward.
You waste your time doing something that is
not approved by the Quran or the sunnah
and the end will not get any reward.
And in the Hadith, in Sahih Muslim
narrated by Sad al Sad that on the
day of judgement,
when people rush
to the house, the basin of the prophet
to take a simple photo in that terrible
day,
the angels will kick them out. And the
prophet will say, these are people of my
Ummah.
And the angels will say, you don't know
what they innovated after you. They made in
the religion, so they will be kicked out.
The person who does not pray, although he
or she is able to pray. They don't
pray.
They don't care.
The person who has the money
to give Zakah and they don't give the
ayat of Allah and the right to the
people. They make bull injustice to themselves because
they deprive themselves of the reward.
The person who is able to fast but
doesn't fast. The person who has the money
to go for a house but they don't
go.
The person who drink alcohol
or they do drugs.
They smoke weed or marijuana and all that
stuff. They destroy their health and their body,
which is a gift and a trust from
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. They are unjust to
themselves.
Muslim
he was very rich. He migrated to the
US,
Sometimes, we had to bid him to come
to the masjid for rain or to have
iftar with us in Ramadan.
And,
you know, eventually after a lot of his,
you know, persistence from us, insistence, he would
come and
he would even sit in the back of
the Masjid that doesn't pray with us. And
I asked him to join him, but he
doesn't pray.
He has a lot of money, masha Allah.
Allah has given him a lot of money,
and I asked him I asked him several
times to go and make Hajj, and he
said, I don't want to.
So this is injustice to someone's
self. Okay?
The second type is injustice to other people.
If someone abuses his authority
to take people's rights or devour their money,
this is injustice to others.
The person who abuses his wife and children,
this is injustice to others. The person who
forces his daughter to lie against her will,
this is injustice to others.
The person who gives his inheritance all his
money to some of his children and deprive
others of the rights in Islam to get
a share of inheritance, this is injustice.
So we have to be aware of these
things.
So the prophet, salawasalam, is talking about this
kind of injustice in a hadith narrated by
Muslim by Abu Ma'am, collected
by Muslim. The prophet, salawasalam, who ask him
is asking the Sahaba, do you know who
the brogue is?
So they said, the brook among us is
the person who doesn't have dollars or stealing
power.
They don't have any money in the bank.
The prophet says no. On the day of
judgement, the brook
is the person who comes with prayers and
fasting and charity and pilgrimage,
but in the meantime, they have abused people.
They stole the money of this. They took
bribes from this. They oppressed their wife. They
oppressed their kids. They abused the people under
their authority.
So the prophet says,
all these people who were abused will take
from the good deeds
of that oppressor.
And when his good deeds are gone, then
Allah would take from the evil deeds of
these people oppressed and put on that person
a thrown in the hifar. Does
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
So when we look at the times
that we have been talking about,
they have abused the authority that Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala has given them.
But in the meantime,
some of us, they also abuse the authority
that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has given them.
Some of us, they abuse their children, some
of us,
the people of the people of the people
of the people of the world. They also
abuse the authority that Allah has given them.
Some of us, they abuse their children, some
abuse their wives, some abuse their husbands,
some abuse their parents,
some abuse their employees they have under their
authority at work. All this is injustice.
The rulers,
the tires, Allah
has given them major authority.
You, Allah
has given you minor authority. If you abuse
it, you are just like them.
So these rulers
will come in the day of judgement and
Allah will ask them, I have given you
authority for 30 years
or 42 years or 25 years, like all
the guys who have been removed from office
in the past few months.
Some people,
women and children,
were killed.
You shed their blood. Why?
Allah will ask them.
Some people died in hospitals because they didn't
have the money to give medicine.
Why didn't you provide for them? Why?
Some people were thrown in jail for many
years for no reason, and they died in
jail. Why?
Your children were abusing the money of the
country.
Some of them were spending, as they said,
$2,000,000
a month.
And some people were living and they didn't
have even bread
to eat. Why?
The same way, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will
ask you about the injustice you have done
to your family.
Your wife was not praying.
Why?
You have authority. Why didn't you stop your
wife from this?
You abused your children. You did give some
of them the characters and you didn't give
others. Why?
You were unjust to your husband. Why?
You were abusing the servants you have in
the house or the employees you have at
work. Why?
So both of them, the tyrants
and those, the average people among us, they
will be questioned on the day of judgement.
So the prophet
talks about these different types of authorities,
and he said that the king or the
president or the ruler or the manager
is accountable for all those under his hand,
those who are in his authority. And he
will be questioned about them on the day
of judgement.
And the same way, the prophet says
that the man in the house is accountable
for all those under his authority, and he
will be questioned about them on the day
of judgement.
The wife will also be accountable for what
she did in the house of her husband.
So everyone is accountable
for everything that is under his or her
authority.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala would ask each
and every one of us on the day
of judgement about the authority
that they have given it, that they have
given, they've given. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will judge them whether they have preserved
that authority that was given to them or
they abused it. That's Allah
Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala
