So it's very,
astonishing to see people in Ramadan gaining weight.
Okay? People should lose weight but for some
reason everybody I see people gaining weight in
Ramadan.
And what is even more astonishing to see
someone who has been married for 10 years
and is still smiling.
Okay? This is usually a screen scraper,
screen saver.
And this is one of the very effective
survival techniques
that people have developed over the years.
Ayyum Shama Anakhi
An
Ihdaan Rasali Al Abi Qapada Wa
Ta'ala wa He had infirmed
Islam.
There are 3 types of Ibadat in Islam
as we mentioned before.
There is the verbal Ibadat
and this includes the recitation of the Quran
and Dua. You do it with your tongue.
Then there is the physical Ibadat
and this includes
Salah,
Psalm,
Hash, Umrah
and so on and so forth.
The third type is the financial Ibadat and
this includes Zakat,
charities, Zakat al Fitr, and so on and
so forth.
So most of the people, they focus on
the first two, but when it comes to
the third type, they are stingy.
They hold very tight to the money.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says in chapter 4,
You will never
in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet says
that charity
or giving out in charity is a proof.
A proof of what?
A proof of your iman, a proof of
your taqwa.
People can just say we are believers,
but when it comes to giving,
they withhold.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala in the Prophet
SAW Say that giving out in charity
is a proof of your faith, is a
proof of your iman
at
So sometimes when the Muslim community needs your
contributions,
when the schools, the Muslim schools need your
attention
and assistance,
and when the brothers and sisters in Somalia,
they need your assistance,
sympathy itself is not enough.
Dua for them is not enough.
You have to take something out of your
pocket and give it to them.
This is the best way to show support
and to show sympathy.
But just saying words,
shallow words, will not mean anything. And eventually,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, who will call
it. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
Whoever will give a loan to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala and Allah will multiply it infinitely.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is not asking
to take your money. He will say, I'm
gonna take it, but I'll give it back.
Otherwise, the people would withhold and keep the
money for themselves.
So Abu Luh
Anhu said that the prophet
was the most generous of all people,
but he was exceptionally generous in the month
of Ramadan.
Sahib and this is in Sahib Muslim.
So in this Hadith,
a woman
saw or made
a a coat
or a a a garment for the Prophet
SAW.
So when he wore it, he came to
the masjid, one of the people in the
masjid, one of the Sahaba saw it and
he loved it innocently.
So he came to the Prophet SAW Salam
and said,
okay, I love this, I love this garment.
Why don't you give it to me?
And that was the only one that the
prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam had. So the prophet
SAW Alaihi Wasallam took it off
like this
and he gave it to him.
So after the prophet left,
the Sahaba came to this companion and they
said, shame on you. Shame on you. Why
don't you take the coat? The only coat
that the prophet had. He said, I didn't
want to take it from myself. I took
it, so when I die, they make it
as a shroud for me. So when I
go to the grave, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will protect me from the grave and forgive
me.
And in one of the hadith that the
prophet said
that this companion, Noyaman,
will come in the day of judgement smiling
because he used to make the prophet
laugh all the time.
So Anwaraman
knew about the generosity of the Prophet SAW
and he was very generous,
so he took advantage of the Prophet SAW's
generosity.
So in in some of the hadith, whenever
fruits
or any food was brought to Madinah, this
companion, Anu Ayman, who who used to make
the prophet
smile, he would buy from the peddler and
take the food to the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam with fruit. And when the Prophet
SAW Alaihi Wasallam eat on the Sahaba, then
the owner, the peddler would come asking for
his money. Where is my money?
Then, Anuraman would tell the Prophet SAW Alaihi
Wasallam, Paying it.
Then the Prophet SAW Alaihi Wasallam would say,
I thought it was a gift.
So the madman would say, yes. It's a
gift. But I never said I'll pay for
it. You're paying for it.
So the girl would say,
Can you join the salah with the intention
of Isha? So the imam is praying 2
rakas for Tawgir. Can you pray Isha? Be
mad the imam with different intention. If you
know the answer, inshallah, email me before tomorrow,
