Mustafa Khattab – Closer to Allah 12 Blessed Times Ramadan 2011

So we're almost getting close to the middle

of the month. If you look outside the

window, you will see almost a full moon.

So Ramadan is now a youth,

and in a few days it will be

an old man.

So try to take advantage of this great

month

before the days

go by.

So the best answer

on how or the easiest or the best

way to get close to Allah Subhanahu Wa

Ta'ala comes

in the words of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

and the words of the prophet Sasa Salim.

So I'm

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and the words of the

prophet So I'm

gonna give you a very,

great hadith from the prophet It's sukoods a

hadith.

So the prophet

in this authentic hadith, the Sahih al Uthari

says, as Abu Narayana reported,

that the prophet

says that Allah says so it's a pussy

hadith. So Allah says,

my servants will never come close to me

with anything

except with that which I have made obligatory

on them. The obligatory acts of worship like

salah, fasting, zakat, etcetera.

Then Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, and my

servants will keep coming close to me

by doing extra acts of worship until I

love them.

So when I love my my servants, when

they come very close to me and I

love them, I become

their ears with which they hear,

and I become their eyes with which they

see.

And I'll become their hands with which they

conduct their affairs. And I'll become their feet

with which they walk. And if they ask

anything of me, I will give it to

them. And if they ask my protection from

anything, I will protect them.

So in this part of the Hadith where

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, when I love

my servants, I become their eyes with which

they see till the end of the hadith.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala means that in everything

you do

or see or talk or walk or do,

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will be guiding you.

So whatever you do will always be the

truth and will be the right thing to

do.

So according to this hadith, the obligatory

acts of worship will bring you closer to

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala than the optional acts

of worship.

So for example,

the 2 rakahs of fast are more beloved

to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala than 2 rakahs

of sunnah.

The zakah is better in the side of

Allah than charity, salafah.

The fasting of Ramadan is better in the

side of Allah than any optional fasting you

do like Thursdays Mondays.

Hajj is better in the side of Allah

subhanahu wa ta'ala

than Omar.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

It is true that obligatory acts of worship

will bring you very close to Allah subhanahu

wa ta'ala. But what will make you beloved

to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the optional

acts of worship, like sunnah prayer,

the fasting outside of Ramadan, like the charity

and so on and so forth.

So what if you do the beloved acts

of of worship

in the best time in the year, like

the month of Ramadan?

Of course, this is the best

you can do and this is the closest

you can get to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

And the reason is

that the work for the good deeds are

multiplied infinitely.

The doors of heaven are open, which means

that Allah

makes it easy for you

to go to Jannah. And the gates of

the hellfire are closed, which means that Allah

makes it difficult for you in the month

of Ramadan to do the wrong.

And Shaytan is

out of business. Shaytan is putting

ads in the papers. He's looking for work

in Ramadan. He's changed.

As the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says

in the hadith.

They will wish that the whole year is

Ramadan.

So I conclude with this story, and Anil

said, if people know the great battle of

the month of Ramadan, they will wish the

whole year is Ramadan, and they will not

do like Juhar.

Juhar had a donkey,

and he was so dependent on that donkey.

And one day the donkey fell sick and

it was very close to death. So Juhar

made a pledge to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,

if his donkey recovers,

he will fast 3 days for Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala.

Sure enough, the donkey recovered

and he fasted for 3 days, and after

the 3rd day,

at the time of Maghrib, when he completed

the fasting, the donkey died.

A great setback.

So he got so mad. He was furious

and he said, wallahi.

Okay.

Okay. This is how it works? Okay. Ramadan

is coming and wallahi, I will fast only

for 27 days. These 3 days

hours of

Ramadan.

I'm not doing them again.

That's Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

The question for you yesterday, if a sister

has a miscarriage in the second month of

pregnancy in Ramadan.

Does she have to fast right away or

does she have to wait till the end

of the bleeding?

The scholars say if the miscarriage happens before

the passing of 81 days,

It doesn't count. This is

So it is not a period and it

is not the fast, post,

birth bleeding, which means that the lady

will

immediately

fast and pray

because this blood doesn't count. But after 81

days, she will have she will have to

pray to,

to fast or she will have to wait

for 40 days or until the stop of

the flood. This is the fatwa in this

room.
