observe this month properly in a way that
is pleasing to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
This is the topic for today. Tawfiq ul
Hidayah. Or Hidayah to Tawfiq.
I'm gonna begin with this story. Everyone loves
stories especially when you're fasting.
Back in 2012
there is a super store
in
Germany.
Electronics.
Just like Best Buy and the other stores
here. It's a mega store.
Electronics mega store. It is called Saturn.
Saturn.
So what they did basically, they have so
many branches in different German cities,
and they were planning to start a new
branch in one of the cities, branch number
150.
And for that occasion they advertised through their
marketing company, through their Facebook page,
that they are going to select 1 lucky
person
to open the store for them and they
go inside,
they have 90 seconds, 2 minutes and half
to take whatever they want.
Whatever they want in the store all these

Then he came to Edmonton, he stayed there,

Ta'ala. The gates of Jannah are wide open.
Shaitaan is chained. So if you do something
bad, if you don't do your ibaliyah Ramadan,
if you delay your salah, you spend the
whole night playing Shadda, or playing video games,
or watching movies, or go to those, coffee
shops and, smoke shisha all the night.
Don't blame shaitan. Shaitan is chained. He can't
do nothing.
Blame yourself.
We have shayatunul
jinn, they are chained
as we're told in the hadith. But we
also have shayatunul ins, they're all over the
place,
and there's a big difference between the 2,
and the Aleman says that Shayatin ul Ins
are very influential, they are so powerful.

from the hadith of the prophet

you fast Ramadan.
If you fast properly,
all your past sins,

If you stand the night in salah,
you know it doesn't have to be the
whole night, taaweeh, for qiyam, or tahajid, whatever
you call it. Allah will forgive your past
sins.
We know that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala frees
millions of people every night who deserve to
go to Jahanam. Every night he is forgiving
them, giving them freedom from Jahannam so they

Al Kareem. So if you have all these
incentives
how come you come to the month of
Ramadan and you don't have a strategy? So
what kind of strategy? We know now what
the good deeds are. As I mentioned before
the Prophet SAW Hassan have a strategy for
Ramadan.
And this is something we need to do.
3 strategies.
There are 3 things that you can do
in Ramadan to maximize your hasanat. Number 1
the physical Ibadah. Fasting properly, making salatiyah properly,
Iritikaf
and
you don't have to say the whole day
and night in the masjid for Iritikaf as
we said before the majority of the scholars
say even if you stay in the masjid
for 10 15 minutes for
scholars say even if you stay in the
masjid for 10 15 minutes for salah like
Jum'ana half an hour at least. If you
now make the intention over Atikaf for whatever
time you're going to stay in the masjid
20 25 minutes Then InshaAllah this is Atikaf,
you will get the reward for Atikaf. You
will get the reward for listening to Khubba,
you will get the reward for Salatul Jumaa.
So this is the first time physical Ibadah.
The second one is the verbal Ibadah.
Reading Quran, the Qur'Allah, giving Nasiha Dawah
with your tongue.
And the third thought is the financial Ibadah
you donate, you give sadaqa, you give Istaa'
in the masheed.
So this is financial Ibadah and the
did the 3 of them. So the prophet
had a strategy in the month of Ramadan.
So if you want to be successful
whatever left in the month of Ramadan and
actually the best of the month
lies at the end of the month the
last ten
Alhamdulillah it's a month now is gone and
we still have sorry one week is gone
we still have about 3 weeks to go
and we still have can can make a
lot of hasanat in this month and get
close to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala if we
have a strategy. We ask Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala to give us the best in this
month and give us sincerity in everything we
say in news.
Another strategy that you can do in a
month, and it doesn't cost you anything, is
dua.
Dua is one of the weapons of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala,
we know that you can take a hadith.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala does not reject
Dua of 3 types of people.
Dua
and Haqim La'alil.
A just ruler,
if they make Dua, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will accept from them. The doors of heaven
are wide open for them.
If a parent, the father or the mother,
if they make dua for their children, Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will accept the dua.
And the third type, dua'us salim. If you
make dua'a while you are salim, Allah Subhanahu
will accept from you. Of course there's another
hadith that says dua.
If you have been treated unjustly Allah
will open the door for your dua. So
make sure inshaAllah you make lots of dua
in this month.
The righteous and the smart they used to
say the big Dua for the month of
Ramadan because they know Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will most likely accept their dua.
So if you are a youth and you
are desperate to get married
this is the time to make dua to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to give you a
good wife or a good husband.
If someone has been married for years no
kids
they tried everything, the tubes, all the doctors
in town, they couldn't do
it. Ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to give
you a child or children.
Sa'a was 90 years old when Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala gave her
Ishaq
and the wife of Yahya Alaihi Wasallam was
80 years old and both of them were
barren they didn't have fertility they couldn't do
it but with Dua Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
gave them kids
so stretch your hands and say Allah give
me and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is karima
he will give
you if you have been sick for so
many years no matter what your sickness is.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will give you Shifa.
He is the Lord of lords and he
is the King of kings. He will He
is able to do it. Nothing is difficult
for
Him. If you got laid off,
if the housing situation is very difficult for
you, raising your kids is very challenging in
this country. Make dua to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala to give you dair to your kids.
There's nothing that is impossible for Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala. Money wise, health wise, family wise,
education wise, job wise, ask Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala to give you.
And if you want Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
to take care of you this month,
my best advice is take care of his
Ebal,
the people.
If you take care of the people Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will take care of you.
If you are generous with the people Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will be generous with you.
Look for the homeless, look for the needy,
look for those who fast the whole day
of Ramadan and relief doesn't come at the
time of Madrib like our brothers and sisters
in Somalia we are lucky here if you
don't have money
the province or or the state will take
care of you. There's welfare, there's this, there's
that.
At least Masajid Ofer Iftar like our Masjid
here, Miriad Masajid there is Iftar
relief will always come at the time of
Maghrib.
Brothers and sisters in, Somalia, in Syria, and
other places, they're fasting the whole day. Maghrib
time, relief doesn't come for many people.
So remember them in your Duaa, if you're
able to help people here locally or overseas,
help them. Don't hesitate. And Allah
will take care of you.
I'm gonna make a quick announcement inshallah before
we, do the salah. Alhamdulillah, last year we
had a fundraiser and it was very successful.
Based on the money we collected last year,
Alhamdulillah, may Allah
Allah reward you generously, immensely for your contributions.
So many people
pledged. Not everyone was able to fulfill their
pledge. Not everyone was able to pay the
whole amount they pledged. But Alhamdulillah,
for the first time in the last 20,
25 years, this masjid is loan free.
250,000
were paid in 2 months after Ramadan last
year.
And alhamdulillah, the roof that has been leaking
for years, even my office. If you came
to my office last year when I started,
I had 3, 4 buckets in my room.
2 on my desk, 2 on the floor.
It was leaking all the time, and it
was bad. And the same thing for the
school and the same thing for all the
offices in the building. Alhamdulillah,
the whole roof was done professionally, and we
have a guarantee for 10 years now.
The parking lot had
We did it to the best of our
ability. We sprayed it. We fixed the holes
and the pumps and everything,
but it is not done professionally the way
we want it. So inshallah, next Ramadan,
come prepared.
We will be fundraising for you tonight next
Ramadan and, sorry, next, Friday and also to
raise enough funds to pay for the utilities
of this masjid, the power,
the hydro, the gas, and the water of
the masjid for wudu.
And this is a big facility. Alhamdulillah. There's
a lot of, expenses for taking care of
the utilities
and the maintenance
and fixing the parking lot. And after Ramadan
InshaAllah, another sadaqa jayu will be fixing this
carpet here. It has been here for 20
years. I know in some areas it has
been, smelling. We did our best to vacuum
clean it and,
clean it to the best of our ability,
but I think it's about time to get
a new carpet for this, masjid inshallah. So
come prepared inshallah next Jummah and Naylat al
Qadr will raise enough money to take care
of all these expenses in the masjid. And
we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to reward
you immensely for your contributions,
and we ask Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to
accept your zakah and your sadaqa in this
month, and you can always direct your zakah
and your Salata towards supporting the masajid and
supporting the Islamic schools. Back home as I
said,
the state, Muslim states,
Baytul Mal, Aqar, they care take care of
the masajid and the schools. But here no
one is taking care of them except Allah
through you.
We don't have Baytul Ma'am, we don't have
Uqaf. So make sure inshaAllah you, make a
contribution.
And I want someone to come next week
and say I want to take care of
the whole company. 25,000

to take care of the utilities, the power
for the whole year, the water for the
whole year, the hydro, the maintenance.
If this is your niyah, we ask Allah
to
reward you. We ask Allah

month, our fasting, our qiyam, our salah, our
salatul, and sakat. And we ask Allah to,
give shifa to the sick, and we ask
Allah
to give rahma to the dead, and we
ask Allah
to give a wife, a husband to those
who are looking for a spouse.
And
Allah to give children
to those who are desperate for, children. And
we ask Allah
to give success to our students and to
give saha and good health to all Muslims.
