So do share the stream on your Facebook and it's live on YouTube as well with your family and friends so that others can tune in as well inshallah.
Okay, let's begin then. As Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh Bismillah Ar Rahman AR Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was salam wa ala nabina Muhammad, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam in a stock called hygienic. eatable La Jolla. Yeah, are you Hello Dina Amanita Hola Hola. Hola. Colin said EDA. Useless telecom armella con biofit la cama de Nova con woman, UT la hora, Surah hufa positive as follows and now zema.
We begin by praising the Almighty, the majestic, the Exalted, we asked him to send his choices of blessings and salutations upon the final messenger, our beloved prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi, wa ala he was seldom his family members, his companions, and all those who tread upon his path with utmost sincerity after the day of karma. My dear brothers and sisters,
I think we have, you know, brothers and sisters tuning in from different parts of the country. And we also have brothers and sisters tuning in from different parts of the world. I'd like to inform you all that my part of the world we are in a lockdown, because of the current spread of the Delta variant. And along with that, we are hearing of many people falling ill they're critically ill in the hospitals,
the hearing of a lot of deaths, loss of loved ones. So at this juncture at the very inception at the beginning, I'd like to start off by praying by making sincere Doha because we are seated on a Friday and we know that Fridays are blesser Days full of virtues. And along with that, this time, the time for Juma our massages are crossed. So we're not able to go to the masjid hence the virtual reminder. So at this juncture I'd like to raise my hands and make to your Allah forgive us of our sins, your Allah is our affairs, your Allah cure those who are ill healed those who are ill
heal those who are on hospital beds, is their affairs give them good health and long lives. Likewise, Allah whoever we are below
To our loved ones who were buried and who have passed on, forgive them of their sins And grant them high, high and lofty ranks in Paradise. I mean, likewise, Allah filled the hearts of the families
who have lost their loved ones whose loved ones are ill, who have been affected by COVID heal them
and fill their hearts, the hearts of the families with patience to go through these trying times. And finally, our law is all of our affairs and protect us from all harm from all evil, and open doors of Baraka abundance and prosperity for all of us. I mean, I mean,
so my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, the reminder today is going to be about a very important concept within Aberdeen, a very important act of a bad day. And I feel this is an active area that we need to talk about. We need to clarify certain misconceptions perhaps, that have surrounded it or that people you know, have kind of
embedded within their hearts. So we need to look at unpacking it and dispelling certain notions in sha Allah, Allah. And this is with regards to the Buddha, the act of worship known as the vehicle, it's a beautiful, beautiful act of a bad a beautiful act of worship and Allah subhanho wa Taala has mentioned this in the Koran around 42 times, it is mentioned in its singular form it is perhaps mentioned in other forms as well in its plural form, the the Battle of tawakkol for example, Allah azza wa jal, he says in the Noble Quran in Surat Ibrahim, we're Marlena Alana towork, Allah, Allah, Allah. And why should we not bring in the word cool upon Allah and I intentionally did not translate
our code because we're going to unpack it in sha Allah Allah. In other place, Allah azza wa jal, he says, This is in Surah Nisa, well what's the word Cal Allah what kafa biLlahi wa Killa and bring in the word cool upon Allah for Allah is indeed what keila and interestingly that the name the attribute verkehr stems from the same root as they were called, which we will discuss in just a bit inshallah, that in another place in sort of Al Imran the third chapter is number 159. Allah says but either as MTA fatawa la la la in LA how you hibel matava Killeen
and when you have decided for either exempt fatawa Callaghan, Allah bring in tawakkul upon Allah and Allah caps of the higher in Allah, you hibel matava killin Indeed Allah loves the motor work ki Loon. Again, this motor working stems from the same roots as tawakkol. So basically the ones who have brought in tawakkol Indeed, Allah loves them. Allah loves them so you are securing the love of Allah. And you will see, my dear brother, my dear sister, I'm going to run through a list of benefits and virtues with regards to those were brought into our code. So now to bring it in to our lives we need to understand it well. What is the word called through the light of the Quran and the
Sunnah of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So, once we have understood that we can beautifully imbibe it, we can bring it into our lives. And by doing so, we stand to reap many, many benefits from Allah azza wa jal. So without any further ado, let's look at unpacking this beautiful act of worship. So what is the word called? And for those of you who are familiar with my content, I like to, you know, unpack certain things in a very structured way. So we'll start off with the definition. So please bear with me, we'll start off with the definition. And then we'll go on to try and present a holistic understanding inshallah, in summary in a nutshell with regards to our code,
and then we'll also try to address a few
elements of our caleffi Well, a few parts of tawakkol that make it wholesome.
So number one, what is the worker, what is the worker the whatever code, so in the Arabic language and for those who for those of you who are familiar with how the Arabic language works, it is considered a muster in the Arabic language which is in other words, a verbal noun of the word, the word Kela, yet a word kallu which in turn stems from the root letters because as you all know the Arabic language it works with root letters. So it stems from work layer in the Arabic language, which basically means dependence on another. Depending on a Nether, this is what basically tawakkol means. So within the Dini context, within this
Learn what the cervical mean. tawakkol means to display your weakness to display your in capability with regards to everything, and to place your trust in Allah subhanho wa Taala. But now we're going to discuss how does one place his or her trust in Allah is original? That's that's the key discussion here. How do you place your trust in Alliance?
This Tilak will mean that you abandon everything, and place your trust in Allah subhanho wa Taala. Let's say, for example,
would one say that the implementation of tawakkol is not to go out to make a living, not to go out to earn but rather to sit at home, okay, and not do anything but say, you know what, I place my trust in Allah, and then expect the sustenance expect the risk, expect the provision to fall on his or her lap, is that the right understanding of our code? No. Rather, that is not the right understanding of the worker, that is something called tawakkol, which is a completely different thing. And in a way, that could also be the topic for this reminder, the word call versus tawakkol. So the right understanding of our call, versus the distorted skewed understanding of our call, which
is tawakkol, which means not to take hold of the resources not to, you know, put in any action, but rather to say, you know what, it's just this just a hot air, just to say, you know, what, I placed my trust in Allah and to expect those to open and to expect things to happen. This is not the right understanding of the vehicle, as you will see, and I will prove that the eternal light through the teachings of our beloved prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, my beloved teacher, Imam Ibn Al Rahim Allah, He is reported to have said that, with regards to the heartache of our call with with regards to the reality of our call, he says that the secret and reality of our call, not our
call, our call the right understanding of it, okay, so the secret and the reality of it is for the heart, to rely on Allah alone.
And then he goes on to say, taking means or taking hold of means, does not at all harm, once correct understanding of tobacco, as long as the heart is connected with Allah subhanho wa Taala. And this, these are his, you know, along the lines of what he's written in his books. So you place your trust in Allah, and then you take hold of the means. And this in no way is contradicting one another, so long as your heart is connected with Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And eventually, you will understand why I'm discussing this within this context, within the COVID context, within this pandemic, why it's key and why it is so important to understand or rather have a right understanding of our code.
So to proceed
with regards to the reality of tobacco, you have to understand my dear brothers and sisters, you have three paths, three paths towards a holistic implementation or understanding of debacle. Number one being an active part in the Arabic language, which means to believe firmly and with conviction, that all power and all might belongs to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that whatever is taking place is taking place by the will of Allah azza wa jal and it is within the knowledge of Allah subhanho wa Taala that is part number one and two part. So this is what you have to put right. So there are some of us, who have completely eliminated Allah subhanho wa Taala from the equation and only believe in
the resources. So you have to understand that there are two extremes one extreme where Allah is completely eliminated out of the equation and the other extreme, where the US BB are completely eliminated out of the equation.
The balance aspect, meaning the resources, so one extreme, Allah is completely out of the equation, the other extreme, taking action and working towards it is completely removed out of the equation. So you have two extremes within the spectrum. So where does a believer have to be with regards to the right understanding of the worker not on either one of the two extremes, rather, right in the middle, and the middle and this is why it's so important to be on the middle path. With regards to anything we should avoid extremes as per the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah, you avoid extreme
We're not extremists, you have to be if you take the middle path and this is what Allah says in the Quran, Waka velyka Jana como mata navasota and the Prophet sallallahu Sallam was moderate, you should take the middle path. So what is the middle path? The middle path is to firmly believe in Allah and take hold of the resources to
you. In other words, to firmly believe in Allah azza wa jal and to work hard to work towards what you're trying to achieve. So number one is called you need to put your beliefs in order. You need to ensure that your heart is connected to Allah, you need to ensure that you believe that La hawla wala quwata illa Billah there is no power, no mind except from Allah. A black cat crossing your path cannot bring misfortune into your life
as people you know, as as a lot of people believe in unfortunately.
Rather Radha,
Allah the Almighty Allah Jabbar, Al Mata Kabir horlock Albury,
the creator, the robber, the maker
everything is within his control however La quwata illa Billah so part number one is to firmly believe that Allah is in control number one, number two it mud pot number two is it man so you have to fight like I said, that is firm belief and conviction in the power and might of Allah azza wa jal part number two, is it mad to trust in Allah to place your trust in Allah azza wa jal, but you have to understand that there is a very important part three as well allow camel to pursue the permissible worldly means in order to achieve the aims and objectives the desirable aims and objectives. So you have three paths with regards to tobacco. When and only when all three paths are
brought into place, you have the right implementation of tobacco. Number one being your belief system where you firmly believe that Allah is in control. Number two you place your trust in Allah is number three Allah Hamel to pursue the worldly, permissible worldly means in order to ensure the desirable aims and objectives. Let me cite a Hadith of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
he is reputed to have said along the lines of these words Thai there was a man who came to the Prophet sallallahu Sallam and he asks and jasola my camera? Should I tie her and place my trust in Allah? Or should I leave her untied and place my trust in our lives which now look at the messenger Look at his profound teachings Look at his eloquent and why his words, the professor licenses tie your camel, and place your trust in Allah subhana wa
Taiyaki camel in place your trust analyzer, which I'm sure many of us may have heard of this Hadeeth many a time. But it's just that sometimes perhaps we find it difficult to relate to the heavy. Why? Because most of us
we don't use cameras anymore, right? We use motor vehicles, we use cars, SUVs,
whens. So if you were to think of it, like your car,
the distorted understanding of our goal is to leave your car parked with the keys in the ignition. Those are locked in perhaps windows open, okay. And then to walk away from the car to do you know to engage in your tasks or whatever it may be to pack it out on the street and maybe go inside your home saying you know what? I placed my trust in Allah Spanner when
the doors are locked. The keys in the ignition, okay, the windows are open. And now you're walking away saying I've placed my trust in Allah azza wa jal Is this the right implementation of tawakkol. No, this is not the right implementation of the vehicle as per the words of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So what is the right implementation to take all necessary measures. So in other words, lock the car, make sure the windows are all closed, the keys are with you. Okay, make sure it's parked in a secure place. And you wouldn't go and park it in a neighborhood where you know that you know, they're going to either steal the car or steal parts of your vehicle and then
say you know what your place your trust in Allah No, rather you have to take all necessary that is an animal that I just spoke about an animal
and that is as per the words of the Rasul Allah Islam tie your camel and look at what the prophet said Allah I'ma tie your camel and place your trust in Allah Subhanallah look at the order. Look at the order what the prophet just said, tie your camel and place your trust in Allah searcher.
Just like the farmer, okay, can he go to his cultivation? Not plant any seeds. Not you know, do
other tasks that are connected to gardening, farming cultivating Can you just walk there and you know, pray to Allah and expect
a good harvest for plants to grow? No, rather what is the right approach for him to till the ground for him to plant the seeds for him to water the plants, for him to look after the plants to ensure that you know, wild animals, don't attack the plants, etc, eat the seeds and all of that, and then do what places trust in allies. Now once that is done, or is placed his trust in Allah, he's making the art along with you know, involving himself in all of the actions connected to cultivating his his his land. Now what happens it is Allah who makes that seed germinate. It is Allah who makes the tiny sapling sprout from the seed and then grow it is Allah who will provide the harvest, but you
have to take the necessary means and actions to arrive at your desired the aim slash objective.
So I hope it's clear with regards to these three parts and Octopod ultimate and allameh now I'd like to share another Hadith with you all on this hadith to record on the book of Deuteronomy, the Rahim Allah,
Amara hottub, or the Allah one who he narrates from the Prophet sallallahu Sallam he says that the Prophet sallallahu Sallam is reputed to have said,
and the narration goes along the lines of these words,
had you relied on Allah as he ought to be relied on your head you relied on Allah as he's supposed to be relied on, you would be you would be provided sustenance, you would be provided risk as a bird is provided. And then the Prophet didn't end it there. I mean, that parable alone speaks volumes. But then the Prophet went on to say, you would leave in the early morning whilst hungry, and you would return home at night, whilst your stomach so your bellies are full.
Look at the parable being cited in that narration many brothers and sisters, do you see the beds just sitting in their nests, waiting for food to fall from the heavens? No, rather in the morning you will see the birds flying out to look for food for themselves for their young ones. And then do you see any birds lining up begging for food?
It is Allah who provides these birds go out. And then they return in the evening with their bellies full, they return with food for their little ones, the ones that cannot fly the young ones, they return with food who provides this Allah who provides who is providing food for the for the humungous fish in the ocean, for the whale for big creatures who is providing It is Allah. But all of these animals all of these creatures, they involve themselves in elemental in taking hold of resources to achieve the desired outcome, the desired objectives. So my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, now within the context of this pandemic, why is this so relevant?
You have experts, you see, you have to understand that within every field, there are experts just as how, when you want to get something done within a certain field, let's say you want to build a house, would you take the advice of a medical doctor to build a house? You wouldn't. Rather you would speak to an engineer, you would speak to an architect. But now you've got a problem with your your heart.
Surgery needs to be done. A medical condition needs to be diagnosed, would you now take the advice of the engineer who is involved in building your house? Would you take the advice of the architect who is who is designing your house? Would you take the advice of some interior designer?
You wouldn't. But you wouldn't, you would go to a medical doctor. And that too, you would look for a specialized doctor, let's say if it's something to do with the heart, you're not going to go to a doctor who is you know, perhaps involved with kidneys
with renal issues, rather, you would go to a heart specialist. On the other hand, if you were to want to, you know get a consultation with regards to some other part of the body, you would go to a doctor who is specialized with regards to that part of the body. And if it was something General, then yes, you would go to a doctor a general physician, if you will. So as you can see, there are fields and then you don't have experts in every field. As in you don't you won't find someone who is an expert in every field. Rather, you'd have to go to the relevant experts of different fields to take the advice. So now we're in the middle of a panel.
And you have doctors, you have organizations around the world, okay? in consultation with so many people putting out guidelines, and along with these guidelines, there are treatments that are in place in the form of vaccines. But today, unfortunately, people are having this, like I said earlier on a skewed and distorted understanding of tawakkol, where they're not willing to embrace these means that have been put forth by doctors, by medical organizations, by the authorities, rather than trying to take things into their own hands and say, You know what, I don't think I have to wear a mask. I don't think I have to follow social distancing guidelines, or you know what, I don't think I
have to take vaccines. Rather, let me take my own homemade remedies. But the brothers and sisters in Islam,
why are we doing this? When it comes to matters with regards to the dean, you have to ask people who are experts in that field, the scholars, the students of knowledge, speak to them and get their understanding. And you would see, you would see the scholars who are teaching through the light of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, they would give you guidance and around the world, you're hearing of scholars preaching day in and day out,
take the necessary precautionary measures and place your trust in Allah, then why or why are we not listening to our imams? Why Why are we not listening to our scholars? And why are we not taking hold of these precautionary measures? Why are we just saying you know what, I'm just going to recite my daughter's and not wear a mask, I'm going to recite my daughter's and not take the vaccine that is available. I'm going to recite my daughter's and not follow social distancing guidelines, this is a skewed understanding of the work well this is not the right understanding of the worker. If you want to secure the love of Allah, you need to implement the right understanding of the worker. Only then
will you secure the love of Allah otherwise, what's happening here is so grave so serious, that you're doing quite the opposite. You are
risking so many lives. You're putting yourself at risk, you're putting your loved ones at risk, you're putting your family at risk, you're putting your friends at risk, you're putting the entire community and entire country if you will, at risk.
And is this the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah? Is this what the Prophet taught? Who is a Muslim, a Muslim is a Muslim woman Salim and Natsumi. Listen, he where the Muslim is a person where the people mankind is free from his harm through his tongue through his limbs, and Subhana Allah by by not taking the vaccine by not wearing a mask by not following social distancing guidelines by not following the the advice put forth by the medical authorities, you are putting so many people at risk? And how can you expect the love of Allah? How can you expect the help of Allah. So my dear brothers and sisters in Islam, this is a very, very serious issue.
And we are being we're being informed from different factions of the society and from different parts of the world as well. That this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. And we need to speak about it we need to create an awareness about and that is exactly what we're trying to do here. Now.
So many brothers and sisters in Islam, it is of utmost importance that you follow the advice put forth by the authorities, the experts in regards to this, take hold of all the necessary precautionary measures. They're telling you to wash your hands, wash your hands.
They're telling you to follow certain guidelines follow those guidelines if a lockdown is imposed, adhere to what the authorities are telling you unless you are exempted. So you have a valid reason you have a curfew pass if you will, if you have something like that, then fine. I mean, let's say you're you're the frontline, you're a doctor, you're a nurse, and obviously then you can travel right so then that's fine. But otherwise, if there's no need, why take the risk where you're putting you're you're putting yourself at risk, you're putting your family members at risk, you're putting your loved ones at risk. So this is of utmost importance, many brothers and sisters in Islam and
this is why I wanted to touch on this very important concept of tobacco so that we have the right understanding of the world and so that we implement it the right way through the Quran and the Sunnah because otherwise what's happening is your understand that you are hijacking
the name of Islam and the beautiful teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah, where people will start pointing at you and saying, Oh, you know what? This is perhaps this is what his religion says or her religion says and this is what they're doing but rather, the deen of Allah is free is completely free of all of your actions and the deen of Allah
teaches otherwise, as you can see, I cited the Hadith teachings of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam in this regard, so you need to take hold of the necessary precautionary measures with regards to this virus with regards to this pandemic and we all need to work together. Work together, we need to be on the same page to fight this pandemic and make our way towards getting back to some sense of normal. We pray that Allah subhanho wa Taala blesses us with the right understanding of the deen we pray that Allah azza wa jal helps us to see things clearly. And we sincerely pray that Allah opens doors of safety, abundance, prosperity and Baraka for all of us. I conclude this reminder by
thanking you all for tuning in and I also request you to, you know, share the remainder around so that others can benefit as well.
Just a qumola who Hira was said Mr Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh barakallahu
