Respected on its scholars
all ama, elders, beloved brothers, mothers and sisters,
one day a particular imam walked into the
masjid
and after sending the pulpit,
addressing the congregants,
he said my brothers today I have two
messages for you. I've got good news
and I've got bad news.
The good news is
we now have sufficient funding
to complete the masjid project.
That's the good news.
Now comes the bad
news. The bad news is the money is
still in your pockets.
I say my brothers and sisters,
as Muslims
we have good news and we have bad
news.
The good news is
we have that formula, we have that recipe
to rescue the broader world
from the mayhem, from the turbulence it is
experiencing,
But Allah forbid, the formula is on our
bookshelves,
the formula is on the tongues of orators,
the formula is in our masajid.
If only you and I can stand up
to the test of time
and revive the exemplary
character of the nabi of Allah
and manifest the impeccable
qualities
of the nabi of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
you will see what magnetic
impact this will have on the broader world.
And this is what I want to speak
about today. In a few days we will
be entering into the blessed month of Rabi'ul
Awwal being the blessed month wherein we speak
about the Nabi of Allah
in this few minutes that we have, I
just want to share with you in the
light of Quran and Sunnah some narratives
by virtue of which
I will narrate to you some incidents
to see how the life of the Nabi
of Allah
had impacted
on those individuals
whose hearts were the most hard.
He had managed
to change the hearts of those
who used to bury their daughters alive
and he made them guiding stars for humanity
till the day of Tayama.
The first hadith I quote before you appears
in Tabrani.
The rebir of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
he exits from the room of 1 of
his honorable wives
and with him was
Suddenly there was a person
who advances
to the Nabi of Allah. He was mounted
on his conveyance
and he appeared to be a Bedouin.
And he looks at the Nabi of Allah
and he said, O Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
I have invited
my nation to Islam.
They have accepted my message.
I have promised them material
prosperity
by the will
of By the will of the almighty Allah,
they have been gripped by famine and drought.
Do you have any funds at your disposal
by virtue of which I could keep them
in Islam.
I'm afraid
this current condition of theirs
must not have an impact on them. They
entered into Islam passionately.
It must not happen that they exit from
Islam very quickly.
Au Muhammad,
do you have any money at your disposal?
Nabi alayhi salam looked at Ali ibn Abi
Talib,
Ali radhiallahu anhu said,
the funds are depleted.
We've got absolutely nothing.
Just
then there was a gentleman
who appears before the Rabi of Allah sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam,
nay, he was a Jewish rabbi.
His name was Zayd ibn Asohannah.
My brothers, listen to this. He says, O
Muhammad
sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
I see you are in need of money.
I am prepared to loan you money for
a period of time
on two conditions.
Number 1 is
you pay me back in the form of
dates.
Don't give me cash.
You pay me back in the form of
dates.
And number 2,
pay me on a stipulated
date.
A date and a day agreed by both
you and I. Nabi alaihis salam said it's
a done deal. I will pay you back
in dates and I will pay you back
on a certain day.
He takes the money and he gives it
to the Nabi of Allah
Nabi alaihi wasallam takes this money and he
gives it to this Bedouin and he said,
distribute
it with fairness and equality
to your people and keep them in Islam.
This Bedouin then left. Zayr ibn Sohneh, the
Jewish rabbi, he parted ways.
Time passed on.
Fast forward the incident,
one day prior to the scheduled payment date,
I gave you the reference to the brani,
one day prior to the scheduled payment date,
the Zayd ibn al Sohana,
this Jewish rabbi,
he comes from the rear
and he harshly
grabs the garment of the Nabi'uf Allah sallallahu
alaihi wasallam
and he says, You Quraysh.
You have a reputation
of prolonging
payments.
Oh Muhammad,
give me my money.
My brothers understand
there was still one day to settle the
debt.
The Zayd bin al Sukhna,
he says, whilst I was harshly demanding my
money
from the prophet Muhammad,
I happened to look at the great giant,
Umar. Umar bin Khattab
The eyeballs
of Omar were turning viciously
that how dare you raise your voice
in front of the greatest man that walked
on mother earth.
And Omar wanted to go for him.
Nabi alaihis salam looked at Omar
and he said, Omar,
Omar, this is not how we deal with
situations.
You should have been more diplomatic
in your approach.
You should have told me to be more
prompt
in paying my dues.
And you should have told Zaid ibn al
Sohneh
to be more lenient when demanding his due.
O Umar
because of your harshness
and your attitude
you have compounded
the problem. You have exacerbated
the issue.
Take this man, this Jewish rabbi,
and give him what what we owe him,
Not only that give him an added amount.
My brothers, where do you find this character
today? So Umar
he says as I was walking,
this Jewish rabbi looks at me
and he says, Omer, you know, who am
I? So Omer looks at him and he
says, I don't know you and I don't
wish to know you.
I don't know you and I don't wish
to know you. A man like you raises
his voice
in front of the Nabi of Allah sallallahu
alaihi wasallam.
He said, O Umar, let me tell you
who am I.
I am Zaid ibn Asuhna.
I am one of the wealthiest individuals
in Madinatul Munawwara.
Let me tell you who am I.
He says I have studied the biography
of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam,
and I've closely
monitored his movements.
I say beyond a shadow of doubt,
I was convinced
that he is the final messenger of Allah,
but I had reservations
in 2 qualities.
I actually came to test those 2 qualities
which I read in the divine scriptures.
That is forbearance
surpasses
his anger.
The more you incite him,
the more composed he becomes.
The more you aggravate
him, the more calm he becomes.
Our omar,
I have actually
come to test those two qualities.
I say, bye Allah, bye Allah,
he has passed with flying colors.
I recite the Kalima
and he said, oh Omar, I am the
wealth one of the wealthiest individuals in Madinah.
Islam.
I'm one of the wealthiest individuals.
Take half my wealth
and give it to Mohammed
and tell him this is for Islam.
I don't need 1 cent in return.
My brothers and my sisters,
what did it take
to impress a Jewish rabbi
of the beauty of Islam?
It was the character of Muhammad salallahu alaihi
wasallam. The hadith appears in Hakim.
Nabi alaihi salaam is sitting in Madinatul Munawara.
There was a person by the name of
Al Qamab bin Harith.
He comes to the Nabi of Allah. And
Al Qamab bin Harith, he was very profound
in his articulation.
He was very impressive in his speech.
He was very fluent in his speech and
Nabi alaihis salam was impressed.
So Nabi alaihis salam looked at him and
he said, what is your name? He said,
my name is Alkama.
Where do you hail from? He said, I
come from certain place.
He said, tell me about you. Now he
says,
there are 7 of us that have come
with me to Madinah,
we all have accepted Islam.
We all have accepted Islam.
Nabi alaihis salam looks at him,
Every statement has a proof.
What is the proof that you have accepted
Islam?
You know my brothers, I often say
that many of us we have created
symbols
around us
by virtue of which we identify
ourselves as Muslims.
By way of an example,
you'll find that many of us have a
786
number.
You have a 786 phone number. You have
a 786
on your on your car number plate
by virtue of which we identify
ourselves
as good Muslims
on the grounds that I carry a 786
number.
My brothers, I remind you, I remind myself
whether you carry a 786 number or whether
you carry a 726
number,
this is not the grounds for acceptance or
rejection
in the call or in the court of
Rabul Azzati wal Jalal.
So this Sahabi, Al Kamab bin Harith,
he said, oh Muhammad, we have accepted Islam.
Nabi alaihis salam said, what is the proof
of your iman in Islam?
He says we have 15 qualities.
Listen to this. We have 15 qualities.
5 we have heard from you directly.
5 we have heard from your companions.
And 5 we have inherited from our ancestry.
I want you to hear me out and
if you want me to continue
the we have inherited from our ancestry, I
want you to hear me out. If there
is merit in it we will continue.
If you ask me to abstain and refrain
we will give up those qualities. Nabi alaihis
salam looked at him and he said what
are those 5 qualities you have heard from
me?
He says, you have commanded us, anukminabilah,
wamala ikati wakutobi warussuli walqadrikhairi
washarimin Allah. You have commanded us we should
believe in the oneness of Allah, believe in
the angels of Allah, believe in the books
of Allah and believe that good and bad
is from the side of Allah. Nabi alaihis
salam asked him, what are the 5 qualities
you have heard from my mess from my
companions?
He said, amartana, your companions have commanded us.
Your companions have commanded us that we should
believe in the almighty Allah,
accept you as the final messenger,
discharge zakar, go on hajj, fast in the
blessed month of Ramadan.
Nabi alaihis salam asked him,
what are those five qualities
that you have inherited
from your ancestry?
What does he say? Number 1,
Allahu Akbar. What does he say?
Gratefulness
on moments of prosperity.
Not pride, not arrogance,
but gratefulness
on moments of prosperity.
Something good comes your way to acknowledge, to
praise the almighty Allah. Ask a man today
how things are, things are bad. I mean
we constantly complain. Like I always say,
yesterday we could not afford it afford it,
we did without it.
Today we say things are expensive. Allah has
given it to us today, but people still
constantly complain.
Make shukar of what Allah has favored you
with. Number 2,
Patient on moments of difficulties.
Number 3, wasidha
kofimawati
nilekha.
Honesty
in meeting. When you give a man your
word, honor your word.
You know in
there is an amazing narration
when Hoseifa bin Yaman,
Hoseifa and his father Al Yaman
were migrating from Makkah Sul Mukarama to Madinah
Sul Munawara.
This migration
coincided
with the battle of Badr. So the Nabi
of Allah was leaving from Madinah.
Hoseifa and his father Al Yaman left from
Makkah to Al Mukarramah on the way to
Madinah to Al Munawwara.
As they exited from Makkah,
Hosefa and his father Al Yaman
were intercepted
by Abu Jahl.
Abu Jahl looks at Hosefa
and he says, if I release you you
will go to Medina,
you will join the ranks of the Muslims
in Medina,
you will march towards Badr, and you will
fight against us in a battle of Badr,
hence we will not release you. Period.
Hoseif Amin Yamal,
after much negotiations,
he looks at Abu Jahl and he said
I give you my word,
then release me and I promise you we
will not fight against you in the battle
of Badr.
Abu Jahl somehow he was convinced.
He said, okay, Hoseifa
I will release you on condition
that you do do not join the ranks
of the Muslims
and fight against us in the battle of
Badr. He said, done deal.
Josefa bin Yaman, he's then released by Abu
Jahl. When he comes to the outskirts of
Madinah, the Nabi'ufallahu is walking towards Badr.
Josefa bin Yaman, he said, oh Nabi'ufallahu,
can I join you? Nabiya salam says, by
all means.
And as they're walking, listen to this my
brother, as they're walking,
Josefa bin Yaman, he taps the Nabiya Fallah.
He said, could I have a moment?
He says, my father and I were migrating
from Makkah to Medina
and we were intercepted by Abu Jahl. Abu
Jahl feared
that we will join the ranks of the
Muslims
and fight against him in the battle of
Badr.
And I just gave him my word
just to appease him and to release myself
from the clutches of Abu Jahl.
Can I join you?
Read the narration my brothers.
Nabi alayhis salaam looks Who was Abu Jahl?
He was the firaoun of this ummah. Nabi
alayhis salaam looks at Josefa bin Yaman
and he said that verbal
contract
that you had given Abu Jahl,
it is binding.
You cannot join us in the battle of
Badr.
Why you have given Abu Jahl your words?
Hoseifa bin Yaman,
he does not enjoy the privilege
of being a Badri Sahabi.
Why? Because the word that he had given
to Abu Jahl was binding.
What did the Nabi of Allah say? The
Haris of Bukhari.
Jibril comes down.
How do you view the participants
of Badr? Nabi alayhis salam says, they are
senior in rank to my other sahaba. Jibril
tells the Nabi of Allah,
Similarly those angels
that aided the Muslims in the battle of
Badr are senior in rank to the other
angels of Allah. And Imam Bukhari has written,
he said any person
who will take the names of the shuhada
or Badr
and make dua
guaranteed your duas will be accepted.
So what did the Nabi of Fallah tell
Hosea Ifar?
The verbal word that you had given Abu
Jahl, it is binding.
My Nabi said,
al Ida to day noon. When you give
a man your word, it's like a debt
on your shoulders.
So what did he say? The qualities that
were found in the time of Jahiliya,
gratefulness,
to be patient,
to be honest.
Happiness on the bitter choices of fate. Many
a times things would happen in your life
which are not appeasing and striking,
but to accept it this is the will
of the Almighty Allah. And number 5,
never dare to rejoice on the tragedy
of any person in the world.
Don't rejoice on the tragedy
of any person in the world. Nabi alaihis
salam looked at Al Kama. He said, what
can I tell you?
Those who possess those 15 qualities,
they possess the attributes
of Ambiya and prophets.
Nabi alayhi salam gave him a broad smile
and he said, oh Alkama,
those are your 15 qualities.
Let me give you another 5 and you
have the best of both worlds.
Number 1,
My first advice to you is, do not
gather so much
that you would never live to eat.
Number 2,
don't build so many dwellings
that you will never live in and reside
therein.
Number 2 number 3,
Don't vie and compete with one another
in things that you would leave behind tomorrow.
Number 4,
Fear the almighty Allah,
unto whom is your ultimate return?
And number 5,
incline towards those deeds that will benefit you
in your grave and the subsequent stages of
deaths.
Allahu Akbar. You know, Hassan
like we spoke about peaceful coexistence.
My brothers, we live in a non Muslim
country.
We have coexisted
with other faiths. We live in harmony.
You know the question we need to ask
ourselves is, I returned from the UK not
long ago
and many a times
you meet reverts
who come into the fold of Islam
and you ask them what motivated you? What
inspired you, you know, to come into this
beautiful religion?
You know my brothers, my word Allah be
my witness,
my heart cries.
Many of them have said,
I am grateful
to the almighty Allah
that I was first introduced to Islam
before being introduced to Muslims.
I am grateful to the almighty Allah
that I was first introduced to Islam
before being introduced to Muslims.
If my first introduction
to Islam
was via Muslims,
I doubt I would have accepted this beautiful
religion.
My brothers,
my message to you is,
if you cannot become an ambassador
to Islam,
do not become an obstacle.
If you cannot become an ambassador
to this beautiful religion,
do not become an obstacle.
Hassan
the beloved grandson of the Nabi of Allah.
He walks into a garden
and he sees a beggar, a slave
sitting on the floor
and next to him is a dog.
My brothers, we live on a common planet.
We share a common platform.
The Nabi of Fallah was the Nabi
of not only the humankind,
not only the jinn kind.
Today they speak about animal welfare.
My Nabi spoke about the rights of animals
1400 years ago.
Hassan is sitting this beggar is sitting on
the floor and a dog is next to
him.
He's got a slice of bread in his
hands,
and this beggar takes the slice of bread
and he breaks it in 2. He gives
half to the dog and he eats the
other half.
Hassan was moved.
He looks at this beggar and he said,
what prompted you? What motivated you to do
this? You were hungry. You could have eaten
the slice of bread alone.
What did he say?
He says I have literally seen hunger
in the eyes of this dog.
I could not for the sake of me
eat the slice of bread alone
knowing that there is another creation of Allah
that is going hungry.
These were human beings.
You know, Safwan bin Umayyah. The Rabi of
Allah
is herding a flock of goats and sheep
in the valley of Makkah.
He was not a Muslim at that time
and he was totally impressed. I mean like
I always say my brothers, you know somebody's
driving a smart car and you find a
youngster,
you know, trying to walk around the car.
What do you tell him? Hey, listen my
boy, that's the closest, don't touch.
That's the closest you can get to my
car, don't touch. You know, from a distance
he's fine. Nabi alaihis salam looked at Safwan
bin Umayyah,
he said, you like what you see. He
said, of course I like what I see.
Nabi alaihis salaam said, don't just like it,
you can have it.
Don't just like it, I gift it to
you.
Where will we find this today my brothers?
The
he goes back to his nation
and he says,
Oh my people go and embrace Islam.
I promise you this man, Muhammad,
has not come to take away your money,
he has come to give you money. The
entire
tribe,
according to the commentators,
2,000
of them accept Islam at the hands of
the Nabiya Fala.
Hassan radiallahu anhu asked this beggar, tell me
who is your master? He said,
So he goes and he finds
He said, tell me, is that your slave?
Yes.
Does the garden belong to you? Yes. How
much do you want for both the slave
and the garden? He said, I want an
x amount. He gives him the money. When
he comes back to the slave. And he
said on the token of appreciation,
what I had seen, I purchased you from
your master, hence I liberate you. I bought
this garden from your master, I gift it
to you. You know, Abdullah bin Mubarak had
a non Muslim neighbor. He puts the house
on the market and he asked for exorbitant
price. People tell him how do you expect
to fetch that price? He says no, no.
What is the price of the house?
But more important than that, the man who
will move into my house will have the
privilege
of being the name of Abdullah bin Mubarak.
When Abdullah bin Mubarak heard about this, he
was blown away. He comes to his neighbor
and he said, you know what? I'm impressed
at your kind sentiment about me.
I mean today sometimes Muslims moving to the
neighborhood, the prices go down.
So
Abdullah bin Mubarak looks at him and he
said, how about me inviting you to Islam?
He looks at Abdullah bin Mubarak. He said,
what can I tell you? The day you
moved next door, I looked at your character,
I became a Muslim.
The day you moved next door, I looked
at your character, I became a Muslim.
My brother studied the seerah. I will just
leave you with a few narratives.
I will end shortly. The Nabi'i Salam migrates
from Makkah to Madinah.
The journey of Hijra. We all know this
narrative.
Nabi alaihis salaam, it was a secretive
journey with divine inspiration.
Nabi alaihis salaam leaves not with the intention,
the journey was not the intention of Dawah.
It was a secretive journey.
Very discreetly, the Nabi of Allah departed from
Makkah to Madinah.
But study the narrations,
every step of this journey people were attracted
to Islam. They accepted Islam.
Suraka, the man who was tempted with 100
camels.
As he approaches the Nabi of Fallah, the
earth split and his animals started sinking into
the earth. Nabi alaihis salam looked at him
and he smiled.
Suraka says, forgive me. Nabi alaihis salam said,
you're forgiven.
He then comes closer. He wants to attack
the Nabi of Allah.
The earth split and he starts sinking.
2nd time, Nabi alaihis salam smiled at him.
Surakah,
he realized, you know what? Leave around 100
camels, I'll lose my own horse. I've got
no chance.
He goes back to Makkah and he says,
Abu Jahl, I promised you this man Muhammad,
accept Islam, accept the faith accept the faith,
embrace the faith. Nabi'alay salam then continues,
Allahu Akbar. You know, Nabi'alay salam comes to
the outskirts of Madinah. I mean my brothers,
it's a volatile situation.
In your marriage, do not exacerbate
the problem.
Do not exacerbate the problem. There was a
person by the name of Bureidah al Aslami.
And as Nabi al Aslami is about to
enter Medina,
Bureidah al Aslami
he has 70 men around him
with the intention to ambush the Nabi of
Allah. To assassinate the Nabi of Allah. As
they surround the Nabi of Allah, Abu Bakr,
Amir bin Fuhaira, Abdullah bin Ariqat.
Nabi alaihis salam looked at 70 of them
standing around
wanting to assassinate.
Nabi alaihis salam said, who is the leader
amongst you?
So one person steps forward.
Nabi alaihis salam looked at him. I mean
this is diplomacy.
This was the Nabi of Allah. You know,
to calm a volatile situation. Nabi alaihis salam
asked him, what is your name? He said,
my name, if you understand Arabic you will
appreciate
this narrative. He says my name is Bureidah.
Bureidah in Arabic
is derived from the word which
means cool. It's chilled. It's cool. Babbi alaihis
salam looks at Abu Bakr and he said,
Our matter is chilled. Our matter is cool.
Nabi alaihis salam looked at and
he said that, Which tribe do you come
from? He said, Mean, Aslam.
I come from the Aslam tribe.
Aslam in Arabic
means to be at peace, to be at
ease.
Nabi alayhis salam looks at Abu Bakr,
do not become hasty, do not be agitated.
We are at peace and ease.
Nabi alayhis salam looked at Buraeda
and he said, from which branch of the
Islam tribe you come from? He said, min
banisahamin.
In Arabic, saham refers to a arrow or
it refers to a share. Nabi alayhis salam
said, Bureidah,
You know, your name, the translation, it means
cool. You're at peace. You're at ease.
You come from a branch of the Islam
tribe. What can I tell you, Bureidah?
You have a share. You have a branch.
You have a share in Islam. Why don't
you accept the message?
Bureidah was startled.
He looks at Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. He
looks at his companions.
70
of them
accepted Islam on the spot.
70 who came to ambush the Rabi of
Allah
as they walk into Madinah Surinmunawwara,
70 became the bodyguards of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam. My brothers, there are multitudes of
examples. I will leave you with one incident.
The Rabbi of Allah, on the occasion of
Fatima amongst
those that were responsible for murdering his own
daughter. His daughter Zainab, Shilis from Makatul Mukarama,
He sees the daughter of the Nabi of
Allah.
She comes to a place called
He takes out his spear and he pierces
the camel on which Zainab was mounted.
She was pregnant.
She falls onto a boulder and she miscarriages
her child that was in her stomach, was
going to be the grandchild
of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
The mother of his own daughter,
Zaynab, she starts bleeding profusely.
After a few days, she comes to Madinah
tul Munawwara.
Nabi alaihi wasallam looks at his daughter in
that pitiful condition,
in the nature of the hejira when she
had passed away, out of the same wounds
that she had sustained at the hands of
Habar bin Aswad.
Nabi alaihis salaam like the Arabic scholars have
written
As if the entire world
observed a moment of peace, Nabi alaihis salam
was sobbing and crying like a little baby.
He goes into the grave of Zainab, he
was sobbing and crying.
He lowers her into the grave. When he
exited, he was smiling.
Sahaba said,
You entered the grave crying, you exited smiling.
He said, What can I tell you? I
entered the grave. I looked at the darkness
of the grave, the loneliness of the grave.
I said, Omi Allah, what is going to
happen to my daughter Zaynab?
Allah send down angels from the heaven. And
Allah told me, Allah send down angels. And
the angels mentioned, O Muhammad,
we give you the assurance, do not cry,
do not cry. We will accompany your daughter
in her grave till she joins you in
Jannah.
Babbi alaihi salaam started smiling.
On the occasion of Fatima Makkah, Babbi alaihi
salaam said Makkah is safe. At this juncture,
Allah has made it permissible for me to
kill 15 evil elements. Once they are dead,
the sanctity of the Kaaba will remain. Nabi
alaihis salam said, number 1,
Wherever you find him,
behead him.
Behead him. Nabi alaihis salam is sitting habbar
bin aswad. He makes his presence on the
Mataaf around the Kaaba. Once Sahabi gets sight
of him, he rushes towards him. You know
my brothers, they speak about presidential
pardon.
I swear by the almighty Allah, you will
not find a more forgiving human than Muhammad
salallahu alaihi wa sallam. Nabi alaihi salallam said
give the man a chance. He stands in
front of the Nabi of Allah. Nabi alayhis
salam said, habar, what do you have to
say? The man who had killed his own
daughter,
he said, I know I was responsible
for taking the life of your daughter. I
caused your family much harm. I was going
to flee from Makkah but I heard that
you're a forgiving Nabi, a merciful Nabi. I've
come to ask you.
I've come to ask you to forgive me
for the wrongs I have done to your
daughter and to Islam.
Nabi alayhis salam takes a deep sigh.
You and I we will say, I'll forgive,
I will never forget.
Nabi alaihis salam looks up towards the heavens
and he looks at his companions and he
said, oh my Sahaba, I have forgiven this
man. No one should point a finger against
him.
Wari Nabi Allah has given us.
My brothers, this is the month of Rabi'ul
Awwal. In fact, my time is up. There's
so much more I could have told you.
You know, Ikramah who was the son of
Abu Jahl. Abu Jahl was the firaoun of
this ummah. At the conquest of Makkah, he
flees from Makkah
and he boards onto a ship and the
ship was about to sink and he starts
turning to his deity.
So people on the ship tell him, Ikramah,
here your deities won't help you, you have
to turn to the true Allah. Like they
say in English, there's no atheist
on a sinking ship. Oh my God,
there's no atheist on a sinking ship. So
in the center of the ocean,
Ikramah, he picks up his hands. He said,
Omi Allah, I promise you if you grant
me deliverance and crisis,
when I go back to land, I will
pledge my allegiance to Islam and to Muhammad.
Ikramah was the son of Abu Jahl, was
the firaoun of this ummah.
His wife comes to the Nabiya Fallah and
she said, oh Nabiya Fallah, my my husband
Ikramah,
he fled from Makkah fearing that you will
kill him. I've come to ask you forgive
my husband. Nabi alayhis salam did not say
I will think about it. One word,
I have forgiven him. I have forgiven him.
Does Ikramah,
when he comes back to shore, his wife
embraces him and she says don't delay the
matter. Allah's Nabi has forgiven you. Ikramah,
he comes in front of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
wasallam and he said my wife claims to
say you have forgiven me. Nabi alaihi salam
says the claim of your wife is correct.
He said such wrongs I have done to
you in Islam.
He said indeed you are gonna be your
fallah. He said, O Muhammad make du'a for
me. Nabi alaihis salam picks up his hands
in du'a. O Allah forgive this man for
every hatred he displayed to me in Islam.
Forgive him every time he tried to extinguish
your light and the light of Islam. He
comes in the narrations,
the same Ikramah,
he started sobbing and crying. He said, oh
Muhammad,
I've done such wrong to you, but still
you have it in your heart to forgive
me. Indeed you are gonna be your fullah.
My brothers, multitudes of examples, we make dua
to the almighty Allah. Allah grant us and
the ability that we take lessons.
Like I said, we coexist.
Let us live in harmony with one another.
We share a common platform
on mother earth, in your home, in your
marriage, in your business, in your workplace,
in your community.
Show people the beauty of Islam. If you
cannot become an ambassador,
do not become an obstacle to Islam. We
make du'a to the almighty Allah. Allatul grant
us the tawfiq and the ability that we
imbibe these amazing advisers of Quran and sunnah.
And once again it's an absolute honor and
a privilege, you know, to visit you in
this beautiful masjid. And I would just like
to thank the trustees and the board and
the a'imah, you know, for once again inviting
us. InshaAllah, if Allah grants us life, we
will visit you again.
