Muhammad Salah – The Story of Prophet Adam – A.S – Light Upon Light
AI: Summary ©
The webinar discusses the creation of all humanity by Adam, including his fashioning and creation of the gods. The importance of praise and admiration for the story's accuracy is also emphasized. The group discusses a dispute between God and Adam, where Adam claims to be better than God and refuses to bow down to a human being. The conversation shifts to a disturbing image of two individuals eating fruit and boiances, and the return of Adam's death and actions in the aftermath of heaven.

All praises due to Allah alone, we
praise him and we seek his help Whomsoever
Allah guides is a truly guided one And
whomsoever Allah leaves astray, none can show him
guidance May the greatest peace and salutations be
dear viewers, welcome once again to another beautiful
webinar of نور على نور, light upon light
And it is about the stories of the
messengers of Allah Peace be upon them And
as you know that the Quran spoke about
25 of them And I was asked to
address the story of Adam عليه السلام And
to be honest with you To cover the
story of any of the prophets in 20
or 25 minutes It's definitely not sufficient But
at least we can shed some light and
ponder over Some of the verses in which
Allah سبحانه وتعالى addressed the story of Adam
Who is the father of all
the human beings Who was created from dust
Then Allah سبحانه وتعالى created him by his
own hands He proportioned him, he fashioned him
And he breathed the soul which he created
into him by himself And this is a
great honor for the human beings وَلَقَدِ كَرَّمْنَا
Because the
rest of the creations, they were created by
In the case of Adam عليه
السلام Allah the Almighty said فَإِذَا سَوَيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ
So Allah
proportioned him, fashioned him And he created him
from dust or from mud by his own
hand We find in surah Al-Imran And
before I say that I would like to
confirm that The story of Adam عليه السلام
and his creation was mentioned In seven different
chapters of the Quran Obviously surah Al-Baqarah,
in surah Al-A'raf, surah Al-Hijr
And surah Al-Isra, Al-Kahf And finally
surah Sa'd So and also in surah Taha,
now seven chapters So if we begin with
That is
the beginning and number 30 of surah Al
-Baqarah second chapter Remember
When Allah your Lord said to
the angels I'm going to create vicegerents Creations
of specific nature, different species There are neither
angels nor jinn The angels are created from
light And the jinn are created from fire
And al-insan, the human beings, the very
first human being Adam عليه السلام is created
from turab, from dust In another ayateen mud
In a third منحمد مسنون which is the
hard clay After he was put in the
oven So Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in surah
Indeed the likeness of Jesus is exactly
like that of Adam How did Allah create
Adam?
From dust Then he commanded
him be and he was a human being
But Allah created him And he breathed a
created soul into Adam عليه السلام by himself
When Allah سبحانه وتعالى said to the angels
So I'm going to create khalifa and put
him on earth سَلَا تَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَنْ يُفْسِدُ
Why would he create such a human being
creation Who is going to spread corruption and
mischief on earth While we're doing excellent, we're
We are
constantly glorifying your praise and you know praising
you He said إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
I know what you know not Allah created
Adam and he breathed the soul into him
And then أَسْجَدَ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ In the hadith
on the day of judgment When the day
would be very long, 50,000 years of
our time And all the human beings will
talk to each other They want to be
dismissed even if they are sent to hellfire
Because of the torture and the pain standing
for 50,000 years So they say go
to Adam, he's our father So they go
to Adam, they say
You're the father of all the human
You have the privilege
Allah created you by his own hands He
fashioned you, he proportioned you And he breathed
the soul into you And
he made the angels, the noble creation of
Allah Bow down to you in greeting and
to honor you Go, intercede before Allah Ask
him to start the hisab He said but
I've committed a big sin and I'm worried
about my sin So the second fact in
the story As I said it was mentioned
in 7 chapters of the Quran Each set
of ayat, they tackle the story of Adam
From one beautiful angle And by the end
they have the entire story Perfectly displayed all
over those 7 chapters of the Quran So
in Surah Al-Hijj, Ayah number 28 Allah
That is
another level of the creation Not just from
turab or dust No now it's dust mixed
with water And it is heated up so
it has become like a sound clay Then
the next step How Allah Almighty honored Adam
By making the angels bow down to him
So he said وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ سُجُدُوا لِآدَمٍ
Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah number 34 And
remember when we commanded the angels to bow
down to Adam Not sujudu ibadah Not as
means of worship But as greeting to Adam,
the new creation And they worship Allah بَلْعِبَادٌ
Rather they are noble creation of Allah,
They constantly obey Allah and they
do as He commanded So they all bowed
down to Adam in greeting Because they obeyed
Allah Then the Quran in various ayat Tell
us about one creation of Allah Who did
not bow down The command says وَإِذْخُنَّ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ
Then it says
They all fulfilled Except Iblis, Satan
He refused And he showed arrogance And indeed
he was one of the disbelievers But before
he wasn't He became a disbeliever When he
disobeyed the command of Allah SWT A common
question that is being asked Whenever the story
of Adam is mentioned Was Iblis one of
the angels?
The answer is definitely not I don't want
to say Some of the scholars said And
some of the commentators of the Quran said
Because Allah the Almighty said it Very clearly
in Surah Al-Kahf In Ayah number 50
Remember when we commanded the angels To prostrate
and bow down to Adam They all did
The jinn, this is what the
Quran said He refused, he was there He
was a believer And when Allah commanded the
angels And they complied Iblis was standing Why
didn't you join them?
Me?
I'm better than him He
He created me from fire From a smokeless
flame And he created him from mud So
I'm better than him And that shows that
actually The very first sin was envy And
the second was arrogance Iblis envied Adam Why?
Why would the angels bow down to this
creation Which is created from an inferior substance
I'm created from fire The angels are created
from light And God wants me to bow
down to an inferior creation I'm better than
So Ayah number 50
of Surah Al-Kahf Sorted out this matter
There is no dispute anymore
He's been always of
the jinn He's created from fire And this
is what the Shaytan said When Allah ordered
Why
didn't you bow down as I commanded you?
He said I'm better than him because I'm
created from fire And he's created from mud
Ayah
number 11 of Surah Al-A'raf In
Surah Al-Hijj It quotes upon us what
Iblis said exactly He said
not going to bow down to a human
being Whom he created from a sound clay
Ayah number 12 of Surah Al-A
'raf So Allah SWT expelled Shaytan out of
Al-Jannah He said قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا
That is in Surah Al-A'raf
Ayah number 13 So Allah kicked him out
of heaven He said you're not supposed to
be here if you're arrogant And in the
hadith the Prophet SAW said When who has
even an atom weight of kibr in his
heart Shall enter paradise May Allah purify our
hearts from any arrogance and pride Shaytan vowed
and threatened That he is going to mislead
as many human beings as possible In the
beginning he said I shall mislead them all
In Ayah number 16 of Surah Al-A
'raf he said قَالَ فَبِمَا أَوَيْتَنِي لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ
Because you put me in the
error And you caused me to disobey you
and you kicked me out of heaven I
shall sit and wait for them on the
straight path The path of guidance, why to
mislead them So Allah the Almighty responded to
that threat But in Surah Al-Hijj in
Ayah number 42 by saying
You shall never have
any authority No control over my servants Except
those who like to follow you of those
who go astray Then Allah moves to Adam
to warn him and his wife His wife,
when was she created?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created Hawwa or
Eve The second human being from the rib
of Adam a.s. To entertain him and
to be his wife and the mother of
his kids And to fulfill the will of
Allah Which is the Khilafah, generations to succeed
each other on earth Until the day of
judgment, the continuation of our human race Allah
the Almighty addressed them both when he said
You both, you
and your wife live in my heaven, in
my paradise As much as you want, eat
of every kind of food and fruit as
you wish No restrictions except
Ayah number 35, second
chapter of the Quran Just don't go near
the tree You know what I like to
share with you my dear brothers and sisters
now Two things in this ayah And if
we don't know other than these two things,
it will be sufficient for the day Number
one, لا تَقْرَبَ When Allah forbade them against
eating from a particular tree Allah didn't say
do not eat from the tree Rather He
said do not go near the tree Because
when you approach it, there is a great
possibility that you may end up grabbing one
of its fruits Or if it falls, you
pick it up and you eat it And
similarly, every time Allah forbids something in the
Quran, He says don't go near it وَلَا
Why?
It's fahisha Don't go near adultery And when
He said about the prohibition of alcohol
So what are
we gonna do?
Avoid it Keep distance between you and
it So don't go near the tree unless
you end up eating out of the tree
What kind of tree?
That is the second point which I wanted
to share with you It's none of your
business Did the Quran say that it was
a fig tree or apple tree or banana
tree?
It doesn't matter And what really matters is
Allah wanted to test them Don't go near
that tree And you have the whole paradise
Eat from my bounties as much as you
wish What happened?
So Satan whispered to Adam
He said, you know
why Allah said don't eat from the tree?
Because this is the tree of eternity If
you taste its fruits, you become immortal You
never get out of heaven You live forever
So for that, Adam alayhis salam نسي He
has forgotten the warning of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala And he has disobeyed He and
his wife In Islam, the idea of the
original sin And casting the blame on Eve
Does not even exist It says
Surah Taha number 120 and
121 Both of whom ate out of the
tree Again, we don't know which fruits, but
they did And as he ate بَدَتْ لَهُمَا
Their private parts have become exposed وَطَفِقَ
And he started
covering up their private parts With the leaves
from the trees of Jannah You mean that
One of the means of punishment Is to
expose one Zahawrah Yeah So when Adam and
Eve were punished Their private parts were exposed
They became naked Nowadays, people believe and think
That nakedness is a sign of civilization A
sign of being free While Allah considers it
a means of punishment
And Adam indeed disobeyed his Lord So he
was only حَوَاء Rather أَكَنَا Both of them
And then Allah says in Surah Al-A
'raf In that respect Allah called upon them
both When He kicked them out of Heaven
In Surah Taha He said
Both of you go down to Earth
Didn't I warn
you?
Didn't I ask you not to go near
the tree?
Didn't I tell you that Shaytan is an
open enemy to you?
Now he
is addressing Adam's offspring indeed Shaytan is an
open enemy to you So treat him as
He has
driven Adam and Eve And eventually all of
us out of Heaven Because of his evil
whisper to them Would you still trust him?
Allah is telling us In case that somebody
would say Had it not been for Adam
and Eve They ate from the tree Who
could have been in Jannah now?
So Allah is telling us You wanna go
back to Jannah?
I warned you against Shaytan Do not listen
to him Do not worship a Shaytan Do
not obey him In order to go back
to Al-Jannah But eventually And luckily الحمد
Number 37
So Adam repented And received words of assurance
From Allah and Wahi And Allah accepted his
repentance Because indeed Allah Always accepts the tawbah
And he is the one Forgiving the most
Then he
chose him He accepted his tawbah And he
guided him And he appointed him as a
prophet And now the next ayah is very
important for all of us It was mentioned
once in surah al-Baqarah And once in
surah Taha I'm going to shed some light
on the one in surah Taha Ayah number
How can we turn this
dunya into Jannah?
Into Heaven?
And how can we secure a place in
Heaven Which Adam was kicked out of it?
But this time when we set our foot
in Jannah We will never come out of
You earn it!
You deserve it because of Allah's mercy How?
He says whenever you receive guidance from me
In the form of Wahy Which was given
to all the Prophets
For those who will follow
my guidance They shall never go astray Nor
suffer of any distress
But
whoever will turn away from my reminder Then
his life will be miserable Allah says about
Adam a.s. in surah Taha Ayah number
He has
forgotten He didn't do it deliberately He didn't
want to disobey Allah Brothers and sisters You
know what are we called?
The jinn Kleiner called jinn Angels And us
in Arabic Called insan The human being And
there is a surah It's called surah al
And insan is taken and derived from nisyan
Which is forgetfulness نَسَى آدَم فَنَسِيَتْ أُمَّتُهُ Adam
has forgotten And he has become our human
nature to forget But as long as we
rush to repent When we commit sins Allah
the Almighty says in surah Al-Baqarah إِنَّ
So brothers and
sisters We live on earth Anxiously waiting For
the definite return To Allah subhanahu wa ta
'ala To begin the inevitable journey Journey to
the hereafter And then afterward There will be
hisab Reckoning And there will be reward and
punishment May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Make
us among those who will be saved Of
course the story of Adam is very rich
We need to speak about His children Qabil
and Habil We need to speak about the
argument Between Adam a.s. and Musa p
.b.u.h We need to speak about
the interesting meeting Between Adam and Muhammad p
.b.u.h Whether in Al-Masjid Al
-Aqsa During the journey of Al-Isra Or
in heaven during the journey of Al-Mi
'raj And what will happen on the Day
of Judgment During the Shafa'ah And what
would Adam say And whom would Adam direct
to But unfortunately we don't have time for
all of that So I thought we will
just scratch the surface And remind myself and
you brothers and sisters We want to go
back So if we want to go back
We have to be obedient servants to Allah
And treat Al-Shaytan as an enemy
You should treat
him as an enemy And if we ever
commit sins We slip into errors Then we
remember that Allah says
Allah wants us to repent And that's
why He facilitates for us The road to
Tawbah And He accepts it And He grants
us forgiveness And not only that Allah says
in Surat Al-Furqan For those who repent
even from committing major sins
Allah will exchange the number of bad
deeds Into the same number of good deeds
May Allah SWT guide us to what is
best May Allah gather all of us With
all the Prophets And As-Siddiqeen And As
-Shuhada In the highest place in Al-Jannah
