Muhammad peace be upon him. Our Dear viewers, welcome to another live edition of our program.
Guardians of the pious Today's episode is number 380. And it will be the first study in chapter
number 143. The chapter which deals with the excellence of shaking hands, whenever you meet your
Muslim brothers, and also for the sisters whenever women meet each other. The first Hadith we have
		

			in the chapter is Hadith number 885.

good morning to you.
		

			And so on. So very few people within to stop and shake hands, and so on why? It was their
traditions. It wasn't simply common. Yes, some people, a few people who do it occasionally. But the
Arab used to perceive this practice as shaking hands as one of the traditions of Elijah, the non
Arab, the Persians and the Romans. And every community had their own traditions. What matters is for
us, whether you are an Arab or you are a non Arab, white or black man or a woman is to inquire about
the Islamic traditions, not the traditions of your people or your culture. I said that repeatedly,
we should not confuse what is cultural, with what is religious, the cultural traditions may and may
		

			not coincide in the religious traditions, if that happens, more than welcome if it consigned them.
If there is a practice that is common in your culture, and Islam approves it, then it is applauded.
And if there is a practice, which is common in your culture, but Islam disapproves it then it should
be stopped. And a person should stay away from it. You don't say but you know, it's common in our
society. Before Islam, the Arab used to use this phrase, also a hardcover element, almost Luma. It
was a very common phrase, you got to support and help your brother in either condition, whether he
is being oppressed, and that makes sense for supposed to help the oppressed or run him and even if
		

			he's an oppressor, even if he's wrong, you got to support him, man. So that was coming out of
prejudice before Islam. Islam obviously come

			the doctors and the hospital management, were trying to convince a woman who's about to give birth,

			So they sought her concession. And they said, and she said, No, I heard her say no. And the doctor
was trying to convince her that you're gonna die, if we do not give you blood. She said, It's
against my religion. So you see, sometimes different faith, ideologies, practices, or cultures have
some traditions to you, it could be very hard, it could be sarcastic to some, but what we do with
respect that, in Islam, if these cultural traditions come in conflict, with what Allah or his
messenger peace be upon him have taught, then we throw them away, we throw away the traditions, the
practices, and who here precedents to what we will taught by Allah or His Messenger, peace be upon

are visiting you. And their hearts are much softer than yours. He's addressing whom is addressing
the people who it took them years and years to be convinced to accept Islam. 13 years in Makkah, and

			whom were killed. They paid the lives as a price for their faith. But the case in Yemen was
completely different. On the prophets, Allah Salam sent to them what are the immeasurable and have
almost a luxury the welcome them. They will eager to learn about the deen and once they heard about

			in some cultures, this is what they do all the time. You don't do it. Remember, we said even in your
own culture,
		

			if something contradicts Islamic teachings, then it should be neglected. You stop it. And you
practice what is religious, what is Islamic. I've traveled to some countries where people greet each
other by almost bound down, lower in their head, before each other like this. Or even further, even
in the train traveling from Osaka to talk you, the conductor is going back and forth. And every time
he opens the doors,
		

			he bows down to the passengers in greeting, this is a tradition in Islam, you don't do that. You

			Don't do that. It is not permitted for anyone to bow down before any other than Allah. It's as
simple as that.

			The Prophet sallallahu Sallam warned against liking people to stand up for you whenever you come as
true. But if people do, I mean, I didn't ask them and I don't want them to do it. There is no
problem with that. So those who got up to greet the person, they're not blame worthy. It becomes
