Mufti Menk – Time Is A Creation Of Allah

			We are struggling with this difficulty, this hardship. And yes, we will preach and promote the
taking of precautions. Because definitely that does help. We're taught as people who believe that
everything is predestined, no doubt, we're also taught that nothing can happen to us except that
which the Almighty has willed for us or has written for us. But we're also taught that the Almighty
has given us a certain capacity that we can use we should be using in order to achieve that which we
believe is beneficial for us, and that which will protect us from harm. So he's given us a capacity
and he's told us, I want you to do this, and I want you to stay away from this. And we're supposed
		

			to be using that capacity to achieve what he has ordained. However, he definitely knows the outcome.
You know, time I always say is a creature of Allah subhanho wa Taala. One day, he will actually get
rid of time,
		

			he will cause the death of time itself and the tenses that he created. You know, the past tense is a
creature of Allah. The present tense is a creature of Allah, the future tense is a creature of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. So
		

			there will come a time when there will just be eternity Subhan-Allah, and for us, my beloved
brothers, my sisters, what we need to realize is, Allah created us within what we know as present
tense, we will face challenges Allah wants us to go through whatever he has ordained for us and to
pass the test. He knows how we will fare because he knows the future. You know, we believe the
knowledge of Allah is such that he knows absolutely everything. He knows the past the present the
future, he even knows that which was never and is never going to happen. If it were to have
happened, how it would have happened. That is part of the knowledge of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
