Mufti Menk – Renew Your Connection With Allah

My beloved

brothers and sisters who are seated here, I'm

not taking any more,

you know,

any more

conversations or

contributions. But if there is someone with a

shahada, you can let me know.

In the meantime,

I want to say something.

Notice how people's lives

are changing to the degree that they are

saying their Shahada

and making a commitment to Allah.

You and I who are already Muslims

should be moved to the degree

that we should also

renew our connection with Allah.

It is a movement. Why I say this?

My brothers, my sisters, Allah says in the

Quran

If you are going to turn away,

Allah says, We replace you with someone else.

Easy.

And they won't be like you. They will

be better. So my fear a lot of

the times

is people come in.

I hope those who are in it already

strengthen themselves

so that

we're not just replaced.

Subhanallah,

it's a very interesting point.

And this is why we say, my brothers,

my sisters, thank Allah. You have the goodness.

Those who don't have it, when they look

at you, they feel, I want to be

a Muslim. I want to really do good.

I want to feel the comfort and the

calmness that these people have.

And yet we happen to be drifting away.

Is that fair? Is that how it should

be?

Inshallah, we can do better.
